Cool vibe, but yeah, like commenter said above, I was pretty confused while trying to figure out what was going on. "Near side" for the weights is ambiguous. Also, the coin at the top left—I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. My transaction was for 3 kopek per pound, but I didn't realize that at first, because the big coin said 10. That said, there's a cool idea here.
@magicalberry @serendibity-efreet Thanks for the detailed feedback! Since the contest is still running, I’ve already updated the game and added an onboarding sequence for the first order.
@valeriy Yeah! I realized I didn't say it in my comment, but I like the art style, theme, and general influence of the game. Historical Russia isn't something I think I've ever seen in a game before. It's very cool!
got me some time to understand what was the paid sum, but you kept me to day 3! could be a nice counting exercice for youngsters
Great interpretation of the Old Tech theme! I love the idea of running a market stall in old Moscow, weighing goods, calculating prices on an abacus, and trying to keep impatient customers happy. It's a nice mix of historical atmosphere and time-management gameplay!
Really cool idea! I love how the old trading tools are actually the core of the gameplay, rather than just being part of the setting)) Weighing goods with balance scales, calculating prices on an abacus, and counting out coins makes the whole experience feel really authentic.
The 16th-century Moscow setting is also a great fit for the Old Tech theme, and I like the variety of customers. It’s a really creative way to turn old technology into a puzzle game. Great job, and good luck with the jam!))
This is such a unique, authentic, and culturally rich shop-keeping puzzle! The 16th-century Moscow street market setting is an absolute masterpiece of an idea and a very fresh breath of air for a game jam entry.
The visual style and the atmospheric background music are lovely and immediately draw you into the period mood. Using old trade hardware like balance scales, counterweights, and a Russian abacus as the core gameplay loop is a brilliant and clever interpretation of the "Old Tech" theme. I managed to figure out how to place the counterweights on the balance, but as a player, I struggled a bit with the overall progression afterward. The tutorial could definitely benefit from being a bit more visually intuitive, and some interactive objects on the counter slightly blend into the background, making them hard to distinguish. However, reading that you've already added an onboarding sequence during the jam based on early feedback is highly commendable!
A very solid, educational, and creative project built on Phaser. Fantastic job! If you get a break from serving your merchants and strelets, I’d be absolutely honored if you could check out my retro-tech ASMR cleaning simulator too. Good luck with the final ratings! ⚖️🪙🌾✨
Interesting concept and setting, but the game is a bit too punishing right from the start. I even lost during the tutorial! :)
жёстко, особенно на счётах высчитывать :))) мне кажется, что нужно как-то активные части выделить от фона. Я долго разбирался куда нажимать.
