Really cool entry! I loved the concept and the overall mood you’ve created here. The gameplay feels very neat and engaging for a short jam game. Well done to the team! Left my ratings. If you have a couple of spare minutes, feel free to check out our game about a bomb-crafting cat as well! 🐱💣

This is a maze! :D the concept is interesting, I was scared the whole time that I will get jump scared but so far there is none, still the horror was there. The issues for me was the fiddly controls like scrolling to select an item which was very hard to use as the scroll sensitivity is so high. other than that, a solid entry to the jam!

It truly feels like a psychological horror. I couldn't play it in full screen because I was scared lol

Creepy atmosphere! At one point I got completely lost in the maze and ran around in circles for a few minutes, but sheer luck led me to the final tape. At least I think it was the last one, because I got stuck in the final room. Guess that was the end. What a relief. Good job!

@chef yes, it's a final tape! Congrats!
Thank you all for playing our game! It's so nice to read your feedback!!! ♥️

Pretty nice entry, maybe I didn't got far enough but I love how I'm just terrified of nothing all the time, this kind of horror is way harder to make and maintain then jumpscares, good job!

Seriously scary game! The tension never lets up. I unlocked 3 locations, then a monster came out from around the corner and I lost. I jumped out of my chair, my heart is probably at 200
it seem to be some issue when loading game, so when I loose, I can't teleport anymore :( I made two tried and xantt finish That said, nice maze, terrific mood !

I guess I just don’t have the nerves for games like this. Waiting for a jumpscare or some unpleasant moment, wandering around in the dark with a flashlight... I didn’t even get to see what happens next. But I suppose that just means it’s well-made!😁
Really creepy atmosphere! You did a great job creating that constant feeling that something is about to happen. Even the quiet moments feel unsettling!

I really enjoy the look of bag man. and the tv porting made me smile. for me the sound design was the best feature, really assisted with the atmosphere. its possible i didnt hear it and it does exist. but i recommend adding a quiet foot step sound to the arsenal of ambient noise. and a louder foot step to the man himself. when he got me i heard and saw nothing. while scary as it was it makes for a frustrating horror game ( which could be the intent for all i know) also the authors menu was blank for me. (could have been something i had to earn during gameplay)

Very cool narrative idea, video cassettes you can travel through.
The atmosphere is great, and the killer is scary. I really liked that you initially revealed the killer in a safe environment behind a door and a grate, like uncle Gabe tought us to do. Though it did not help when he suddenly attacked me (I ragequit). It is bad that you have to restart and go through the mazes again.
I did not really like the mazes, they are too big and monotonous. I think you could achieve the same effect by removing some of the passages.
Seems like there are no stealth mechanics here, how to get rid of the killer?

@freamdev and @lovecreep thank you guys for trying. We're flattered that the game turned out to be so scary for you, so you couldn't keep it going.
@mem0 geez, sorry man. We just didn't have time to put some warnings at the beginning. We wanted, but yeah, it was a rush.
@loiclegrosfrere yeah, unfortunately load system doesn't work. You basically need to hit new game every time. Hopefully it's not that long actually. Thank you for playing!
@bigtex and @bereg thank you for such detailed reviews! The game is quite unpolished, yes. Didn't have time to such little thing as putting our names in menu. Interesting idea about earning it, tho. To get rid of the killer you simply run as far from it as possible. Sometimes your stamina goes low, so its ok to walk a bit while its recovering, and yeah, there is no stealth mechanics yet.

@artonix no worries at all, it’s actually awesome! That was the biggest emotional reaction I got out of the whole jam, so you nailed the horror. Great work!

Super creepy. The hopping between tapes was a really cool idea. As others have said above the sound really sold the atmosphere. I also noped out after getting spooked. Sorry I couldn't finish your game, I am a chicken 🐔

I love the idea and the execution, especially whatever ungodly sorcery you did on the audio side, and how you managed to make the maze engaging but not frustrating (the VHS checkpoint system is great). However, the game seems to softlock after death, and death can happen late into the game kinda out of nowhere. Per the rules, you're allowed to fix gamebreaking bugs, so please use the opportunity.

A really atmospheric game, and the mechanic of moving through the TVs is very cool. I love mazes, but I really dislike horror, so when I saw the guy wandering behind the bars I got quite scared and closed the game 😅
That’s just my personal preference, though, and if a jam game can scare someone that much, that’s to its credit. Great work!

@loiclegrosfrere @alaah Thank you guys for you feedback! We've rolled out a patch for save-load system. It's working now!
@vinnnie @ingi thank you for playing!
Really cool, nice art style. Cool effect going into the screen!
Really creepy vibes in this and very well executed. I loved the retro-styled graphics and the use of VHS tapes to enter different worlds was cool. I wasn't a fan of the stamina system for running but otherwise it controlled quite nicely. Really nice work!

AWESOME! This game is so nostalgic to me, it reminds me of classic early 2010s maze horror games. I had a stupid smile on my face the whole time. Excellent vibes. The TV zoom in transition is really cool also. Great work!

Really cool concept for the game and really well executed. I liked that it was effectively just a fast travel system, but the way it's presented and finding the tapes etc. very easy to understand but it made it feel really immersive and creepy. I did think the maze was a little bit too big/confusing (maybe skill issue lol), but because the majority of each area was all the same wall textures and stuff I did feel like I was just wandering hoping to run into something a lot of the time, and ending up going in circles. I didn't really run into the guy much but I did find him creepy and it was on my mind whilst exploring areas I hadn't been yet. I thought the signs on the table telling you where the tape that you missed is was quite funny, and the ending being how it is was also very cool - although I did think I glitched the game or something for a moment because nothing really happens, nonetheless I enjoyed the story. Really good job guys!

Thank you everyone for the kind words! I'm really happy to hear you liked the sounds. It's a shame we didn't have enough time to add all the content we wanted, but looking at your reviews maybe we added just the right amount of stuff, for a game jam at least.

Interesting idea. I really like the mood and the overall look of the game. Feels claustrophobic and empty yet you feel something is present.

Cool concept! I'm unfortunately pretty bad at mazes, but the sounds were very well done.
