Apr 16 13:00:17 Ancestor Rain ♥ 5 I love that this has voice over, quite lovely btw, I felt the voice volume a bit low though, but it was a nice touch. I feel this has a lot of potential in the humor aspect, like if you make the sounds real bad when you play it wrong and perhaps add some complexity in the act of playing a note, perhaps using pressure that can be read if you play with a controller or a touchpad like interface to produce the sounds, idk, it would make it a bit like trambone champ with lore. very nice art btw, resembles Mutazione a bit. btw, just a reminder your itch page has no link to ldjam website, I kinda guessed the url to get in here, found you in itch.
Apr 16 16:31:50 3h 31m Artisan ♥ 3 voice over, really cool. I like the cutscene as well. the voices of the people you talk to brings me back to banjoo kazooie, although more serious here and gives a kinda cute vibe. wish I could move with keyboard instead of only mouse to click. the music creates a really intesting atmosphere. overwall I love the graphics and atmosphere, I was kinda curious about the last item, wonder if it could grow into a giant tree that goes to heavens type of story, I would love to see this going this kinda misterious direction. btw on itch you cannot fullscreen and the screen is way too small to see, glad it is also playable here. impressive stab Screenshot 2024-04-16 132824.png
Apr 16 16:38:42 6m 52s He Who Sleeps ♥ 1 wow I love this ominious atmosphere. showing the size of things as you get smaller going out of the cave is a clever move that builds the mood really well. the sacrifice scene with this atmosphere makes me feel a bit like in Carrion with a kinda Fear and Hunger vibe. I got like 3 sheep, cant find the next one.
Apr 16 16:47:40 8m 58s Butler! Summon the Imps! ♥ 3 love the effects in the text boxes. the outlined cute assets have a lot of personality. very satifying gameplay and interesting depth.
Apr 16 17:33:47 46m 07s Summoned at 2 ♥ 2 really like the mood. cant resist to click everything like crazy before I start reading lol. this is very relatable. the click, drag, cut mechanics are impressive, particularly the sugar opening.
Apr 16 17:45:24 11m 37s Part-Time Familiar ♥ 1 on itch it feels a bit that the interface is being cut on the sides. I like the humor in the text, and it feels sometimes funny a dog figure acting a bit like a cat sometimes. very interesting lore building here, I like that I can hover over words to know what they are. they all have very distinct personalities Arthur, Lysander and Zavidar .... cant help but feel like one for each harry potter school. there is an impressive amount of content in this
Apr 16 17:57:30 12m 06s SUMMOGON ♥ 2 very impressive voice over oh I thought something wrong happened that I was not seeing anything, but very clever transition there. the voice interacting so vividly, responding to your moves really builds a strong vibe. it even alternates between sentences when talking, you feel really immersed in this. cant resist going brute force with this. the second one kinda made the brute forcing a lot easier with the new notations being more obvious. the third did not add too much difficult to it, but I really liked the ending. man the atmosphere in this is awesome. But I gotta be honest that I solved all puzzles brute forcing my way lol. wonder what the something is. Screenshot 2024-04-16 145506.png
Apr 16 18:18:16 20m 46s Life of a skeleton ♥ 2 LMAO LMAO LMAO clever clever this could easily be a successful skit I was confused though in the start whether I should wait and fight or if fight was something going to happen eventually in the conversation. also this is really hard not to get her to dump you lol
Apr 16 18:24:13 5m 57s Aurora's Ascendance: Orbs of Destiny ♥ 2 the volume is a bit low. I like the visuals, they kinda take me back to those saturn isometric sonic games in the colors. the choice for controls make it a bit hard to control for somebody that uses the mouse in the left hand though, I had one hand in the arrows and another going 1,2,3 and click. I like that you have to be very deliberate, calculating the movement speed of the creatures, but more feedback on the time the magic takes to do its effect.
Apr 17 12:36:02 18h 11m Summoner's (photography) Apprentice ♥ 1 hand made assets gives a personal touch. I thought the dog's pawn was a tartigrade, which would also be fun.
Apr 17 12:38:02 2m 00s Veles Book ♥ 1 Impressive 3d assets and environment, it feels like that antie Ethel dungeon in bg3.
Apr 17 12:42:16 4m 14s Necrohold ♥ 2 very cute skull characters and clever gameplay loop. The UI kinda seems not as smooth as the very detailed assets, but we all kinda speedrun in doing UI to focus on the game for gamejams so very understandable.
Apr 17 12:47:17 5m 01s Impatient God ♥ 1 impressive lofi pixelart love the music and the vibe you are creating with this intro I feel the numbers and the god talk is kinda way too big in the screen though. Impressive work on the little details like moving slow on the water and how the cuteness of the speech sounds and color contrasts with the kinda scary mood.
Apr 17 12:56:45 9m 28s SUPER SUMMONBALL ARENA ♥ 3 in the beginning I was worried I am having this error on the web version ... but the game seems to work ok Screenshot 2024-04-17 095202.png tried once and had no idea what I was supposed to do, then went back and tried the tutorial ... from which I got only the drawing thing, man that is interesting, its really cool to draw your invocations. I could see this concept as an tablet game drawing real quick and memorizing all types of invocations even ... also this would be really fun as a competitive multiplayer I believe
Apr 17 13:03:16 6m 31s Command: Summon ♥ 4 very juicy sounds and summoning effects I feel like a mage hacker of sorts. it all feels very beautiful but it is kinda confusing having to alternate between a terminal like hacker experience to a 2d kinda enter the gungeon type of thing. this is very beautiful and to be honest I was far more excited about the fantasy terminal thing (never seen that before but now I would love to) than the action which kinda is not that new as the terminal
Apr 17 13:07:29 4m 13s Crypt Decrypt ♥ 0 I feel I am doing something wrong in here. chrome_xVgS5eLZtZ.gif
Apr 17 13:20:33 13m 04s Cat Summoning Puzzle ♥ 2 at home we have 3 cats (or better they allow us to live in here lol) so I can relate with this soo much and actually the three of them are a lot like if I had snowball, blackie and ginger <3 I think a lot of people would relate to this, but the puzzle element for me feels a bit too easy to just brute force your way through. love the music and the lofi pixelart cats.
Apr 17 13:26:29 5m 56s SaaS :: Summoning as a Service ♥ 4 amazing art assets indeed, particularly the characters and their cartoonish animations that take me back a bit to those flash games. the title itself is very inventive and made me laugh a bit. the controls are kinda unconfortable, using mouse and several keyboard keys which could be perhaps automatic based on context like E and space, it is particularly harder for people that use left handed mouse to use AWSD + space (like me)
Apr 17 13:33:16 6m 47s Do the thing ♥ 1 I wish you had a "play it fullscreen" here, the interface is currently being cropped in the sides makes it a bit hard to work with. but it works, camera feels smooth and the overall ominous vibe makes you wanna expand and get more lore.
Apr 17 16:03:45 2h 30m Bean and Brew ♥ 4 loved the messages in the opening .. not made in java lol smooth paralax and nice choice for colors the sounds are so sweet and well placed man this is kinda addictive I feel however at least in the web version there is some framerate drop when the camera kinda moves around. the choice for controls clicking on space and shift makes me feel less ... less agile ... playing this with a controller must be a blast. man this feels so cool I could play this for quite a while. awesome juicy entry!
Apr 17 16:08:27 4m 42s Akino's Dungeon ♥ 1 its kinda difficult to control, at least in the web version I had to read to understand what I was supposed to do, but not super hard after a few minutes, the enemies get predictable. I kinda like the design of the characters and love the eyed background in the start =)
Apr 17 16:22:48 14m 21s Glyph Tower ♥ 2 this feels awesome with lots of feedback and juicy visuals, it feels quite delicious to draw the spells, even when you get them wrong lol this feels perfectly polished, this is something else
Apr 17 16:27:09 4m 21s The Culling ♥ 4 most unique and impressive game I have seen so far, feels so unique with the voice effects the camera movement, the slashing effect and the kinda doodle effect to the creatures I could certainly play this for a long while, waiting for the easiest restrictions ... I found the "no pants" the hardest one lol ... the "only the flying" was the easiest I got from the second culling onwards it seems it gets real hard you have to move crazly fast. this feels really good, ... could also be a vr game I imagine.
Apr 17 16:32:32 5m 23s The Wanderer ♥ 0 I love autobattle games and this is easy to get hooked on, the fights being short and the roguelite elements make this a very interesting one that you may wanna go just for another last one. the minimalistic art fits well with this.
Apr 17 16:41:55 9m 23s Mystery in Greensand Shore ♥ 4 I absolutely love the character design the long haired girl is my favorite. I see this combat system you guys created is very interesting, its good when you see new turn based systems being born, this one could evolve into a more tatical one, but it needs some feedback with hovers and perhaps some options to speed them up so it does not get too grindy and slow... I also imagine this with movement options, having movement being a big part of the strategy perhaps, idk, I know I would love to see that, big fan of turn based combat and my favorite systems I found in valkyria chronicles and also in child of light in the clever use of interruptions and attack order. the beachy vibe is lovely btw.
Apr 17 16:48:14 6m 19s Summoner Pest Control ♥ 1 love the death animation ... perhaps because I have seen that so many times cause I suck at this lol I was kinda lost in there though, admiring the little enemies destroying the forest, they feel kinda cute and funny, the humour vibe is interesting here
Apr 17 16:55:05 6m 51s Summon Auto Pets ♥ 0 I love autobattlers so I had to try this one ok I feel a bit lost ... lets see it seems a bit like dredge in the management of space and that backpack hero ... ok I think I got it figured out ... this feels quite frenetic I like what you did there, there are elements of a lot of games, in the end it felt quite like loop hero, where you autofight, but need to constantly pay attention to new items and so on, quite interesting loop that if you hone it you might get something real amazing that makes you just spend all day grinding non stop lol clever game folks
Apr 17 16:59:55 4m 50s Summon Salmon ♥ 1 this has a lot of things that made me feel very powerful and I liked that. I kinda kept smashing b and k like crazy and it felt awesome to jump over the bombs I made a storm of these Screenshot 2024-04-17 135747.png
Apr 17 17:03:53 3m 58s Graphic-All ♥ 1 clever puzzle that could be expanded and have so many other "skins" applied to it. the letter sounds are quite satisfying and it is cool that you introduce something new in every level. the paper tear thing makes the visuals stand out. moving was a bit confusing I thought however ... the tank movement along with using the mouse was a big jarring
Apr 17 17:08:47 4m 54s The Fifth Seal ♥ 0 Impressive amount of content here, I smoke a lot of cigarretes, all of them ... made the worst choices and was carried by the shadows ... I was wondering what these pink things were: Screenshot 2024-04-17 140533.png and this Screenshot 2024-04-17 140603.png
Apr 17 17:13:09 4m 22s Summoning Arena ♥ 1 I like the wiggly little creatures and the the background music is not bad at all, I am enjoying seeing the battle unfold ... I have the impression that it might not be spawning the creatures that I drop on scene though ... a couple of times I dropped the red demon and one of the others had spawned.
Apr 17 17:20:23 7m 14s Jimmy's Wish ♥ 1 oh man this art is amazing looks like a HQ from the 90s it was a bit confusing to have to go from a mouse challenge to a keyboard challenge and at first I did not understand what I had to do in the spinning on (yes I am pretty dumb), but after the first attempt I managed to get the summoning complete my very favorite was the nose one and the chopping, it was satisfying to chop violently that poor plant lol
Apr 17 17:23:40 3m 17s Monster Monastery ♥ 3 I kinda missed having a way to scroll away to see all units since they move around so fast and the area is so vast. I found it clever the priority system you devised fels a lot better than having to command them to do things in specific and I can imagine how useful this can be in a big big area with hundreds of minions
Apr 17 17:27:42 4m 02s GINT HAND ♥ 0 the game mechanics is surprinsingly intuitive and it makes you feel like a powerful evil ninja (that was what I thought killing all those people), I liked that quite a lot using your hand to also protect yourself while killing those folks felt satisfying and the rope like effect of the hand looked quite nice. this is quite a good game and I had a very good time with it, we need more people seeing this.
Apr 17 17:32:19 4m 37s Spirits of the Forest ♥ 1 Although indeed the AI seems quite impressive, the sounds are my very favorite part, from the first "OLALAA" I was already in love with them. the UI needs some work because its not much intuitive what you have to do though, it takes a while to understand, but that is ok being a ludum dare game, no idea how one would do the AI and also all of that in 72 hours.
Apr 17 17:40:20 8m 01s Back to Life ♥ 2 very beautiful scenario and smooth walking animation. one can feel the good vibes walking around is quite delightful. I am having a hard time finding what I need to do to actually match the objects and be sure that I am doing it right.
Apr 17 18:58:02 1h 17m Burn with me ♥ 1 this was pretty intuitive and I loved it. it took me like 10 seconds to understand what was going on in here, the "defeat the card to win it" is very clever and fits the theme like a glove. the art was also awesome and the soundtrack adds a kinda jazzy vibe ... the sounds are so in sync that they feel part of the soundtrack. one of my favorites so far.
Apr 17 19:05:53 7m 51s Ghost Link ♥ 4 so many interesting characters, amazing soundtrack that is both kinda haunting and cute and misterious kinda don't starve vibe ... loving this TRHDGRTWYTYHBD!!!
Apr 17 19:24:30 18m 37s Phoenix Delay ♥ 1 this is like flapbird on steroids lol I am not gonna lie I was pretty confused with the choice for controls in the beginning though, I noticed that clicking does something but after reading I saw that all game can be controlled with the keyboard. this is pretty hard and perhaps not being able to quickly evade, maybe with a special power idk, can make it a bit frustrating since what you want in this type of experience is the speed (at least I like the feel) great pixelart and music btw
Apr 17 19:29:50 5m 20s daydream ♥ 4 I loved that you start with a visual novel type of thing ... just to surprise with a binding of isaac meets zelda meets swords of ditto experience. I kinda felt an eerie vibe it being so silent, and I thought the main character has a lot of personality Screenshot 2024-04-17 162659.png really want to see more of her the black cats are a bit annoying particularly because they offer no real risk and just make the pace slower I like that the sword is long enough so that if you hit space real fast you kinda become invincible
Apr 17 19:37:11 7m 21s Necromatcher ♥ 4 I kinda like the little subtle sound that you have there in the background and the minimal UI. the assets for all of them are also quite cool, having s and rmb as options for changing summoned creatures is good. I am so bad in puzzles, I think I am already minutes stuck on level 2
Apr 17 19:43:38 6m 27s From Below ♥ 1 very complex game, no idea how you managed this in this timeframe, but it really workds. what is missing perhaps is just the visual aspect to make the turn based aspect more exciting to see. I imagine it with character figures in place of the squares and some feedback on their attack and the summoning this game idea would also fit that other ludum dare theme "sacrifices must be made" lol
Apr 17 19:50:22 6m 44s Grand Court Summons ♥ 1 my first playthrough made the car bug and I could not get in ok the car driving thing is pretty good the music is not bad the sounds on the voices are cute as hell lol I got stuck with the car in an alley lol the controls are kinda confusing with lots of keys that could be contextual like E to interact and F to get into a car, when only interaction with a car is entering in it this felt like an evil prank making the player close all tabs if they are playing in the brower lolol Screenshot 2024-04-17 164533.png
Apr 17 19:54:29 4m 07s Summon the Armada ♥ 5 this is like a stealth ship type of experience don't remember seeing anything like this, hope can speedrun this, its real tough
Apr 17 19:57:47 3m 18s Don't press the big red button ♥ 1 those cute characters you designed seem to be something between sponge bob and among guys chars ... they are kinda jelly like as well, pretty well rounded, they seem to be a character in banjo kazooie universe
Apr 17 20:05:11 7m 24s rotator ♥ 0 The gameplay aspect of it takes a while to understand if you are not familiar with this kind of game. Needless to say that the art is stunning, keeping a cohesive style being a stylish pixelart I thought it would make sense to have some mouse hover feedback and controls
Apr 17 20:14:13 9m 02s Poisonous Pact ♥ 1 it was ridiculous how long it took me to find this book, wondering "what the hell is a tome" lol Screenshot 2024-04-17 171231.png amazing art and sound sync
Apr 17 20:20:29 6m 16s Accio! ♥ 1 maaaan this portuguese music is hella intriguing what is that? we happen to be brazilian so we can understand it wow very intriguing your choice for this
Apr 17 22:12:33 1h 52m Lucky Little Darlings ♥ 1 lovely lovely chalk drawn characters I love the choice of colors greenish purple and blue the music has a very short loop and becomes a bit repetitive. Gizmo-core got me laughing lol the magazine is so rich and the personalities feel authentic the music in that room you have to find the items is way better oh no Screenshot 2024-04-17 190930.png btw this took me a looong while to find Screenshot 2024-04-17 190625.png Amazing experience I had a blast, the only thing that I would change is that background music, way too short of a sound loop
Apr 18 00:10:20 1h 57m Decades And Dragons ♥ 3 I will write along as I play .... I can relate so much already being the one Screenshot 2024-04-17 194148.png I feel a connection with those players already wow it is like a game about people that are coming at age and struggle to find time to play games, again I can definitely relate to that. this puzzle does feel like the puzzles in inscryption I confess that I find the interface of rearranging time a bit confusing ... to match with the vibe of finding time, this could be a game of managing several google like calendars perhaps, to find time for friends to play DnD. oooh after 15 minutes I think I understand the interface, the center is the time for DnD oh got it oh when the question "do you want to skip" shows and you say no, it kinda gets stuck and the oh I see ... I am 45 and manage to get no time for DnD, this is so clever omfg, makes a lot of sense this is something real real smart, feels like Emily is Away with another theme, finding time for friends ... omg this is real good folks after spending quite a while with this I have to say that I did not think this would be my favorite game of the jam, but now it is and I am glad I insisted, it took me quite a while to understand but once I did I felt the feels vibe I also do have a group of friends we dont do DnD anymore because everybody is always busy so definitely something I can relate Screenshot 2024-04-17 210634.png 😢
Apr 18 02:43:54 2h 33m In My Image ♥ 2 I am getting a disco elysium vibes with the personalities and the tense vibe. the gameplay to be honest was a bit confusing for me, but I would read a full novel with that preface and so well designed characters, this one being really intriguing Screenshot 2024-04-17 233901.png the original angel inspired image, really wanna see what this guy is about
Apr 18 02:59:00 15m 06s Mobius ♥ 3 I love the visuals in this, definitely something I hope to see in alphabeta gamer channel as a full fledged version. could perfectly fit the lsd game jam I dig the visuals, I dig the atmosphere, the colors, the vibe
Apr 19 03:00:14 24h 01m The Ghost of Leo ♥ 2 this is definitely one of the best concerning mood, I love the black and white color pallete and the music. I need to see more of this tomorrow, but for now I can say I love the atmosphere and I am crazy to know where this leads me
