What a beautiful game! Great soundtrack and SFXs as well. Congrats!

kerosuta 2024-04-16 04:04

I tried to click on the trash can at the start, it mistakenly registered as me quitting lol Your game is quite a unique puzzle with a distinctive style. I really appreciate your choice of theme and your art style!hard working for only two members!

weefairyfabi 2024-04-16 08:07

@willianfhs Thank you, I am glad you liked it!!

@kerosuta Ahahaha oh no. Thank you for the kind comment, I am glad you had a good time playing :)

meepster 2024-04-16 09:13

Great submission! Found the games story very funny. The sound design was excellent from the vibing music to the sound of tearing open sugar packets. Loved the games cutesy art style.

Overall impressive work!

brainrottedven 2024-04-16 12:58

Fun and cozy puzzle game, I enjoyed the humor.

rokadoka 2024-04-16 14:12

the story is pretty amusing and the dialogue is fun, i only got stuck sometimes when it showed me an item because I didn't know where to press

jb106 2024-04-16 17:30

Beautiful game with some satisfying puzzles ! I love the art style so much, well done for this

velvetlobster 2024-04-16 17:33

really like the mood.

cant resist to click everything like crazy before I start reading lol.

this is very relatable.

the click, drag, cut mechanics are impressive, particularly the sugar opening.

weefairyfabi 2024-04-16 21:23

@meepster Aaaa thank you so much for the lovely feedback! We really tried polishing the game this time so I am glad you liked the style :)

@brainrottedven Thank you, I am glad we made you laugh!

@rokadoka Thank you for the feedback, I can totally see that being quite confusing but thank you still for playing the game :)

@jb106 Cheers for the kind words! I am so glad you like the art style!!

weefairyfabi 2024-04-16 21:24

@velvetlobster Thank you for the play and comment~ Haha that is totally what we wanted you to do! I just love games that have tiny little interactions hidden everywhere so I want to add it to all my games as well!!

thatfirey 2024-04-16 22:38

Wow genuinely, the most stylish and story-interesting game I have on this gamejam just clap clap clap!!! Really great job, the art, the music, the feeling of the game is fantastic

norah 2024-04-16 22:59

Nice game ! I really liked the artstyle and especially the dialogues animations I struggled a bit at certain points (lipstick and sugar) but i managed to reach the end, and i really liked the ending

velvetlobster 2024-04-16 23:25

oh yeah and it feels a bit "a little to the left" @weefairyfabi forgot to mention that

kanity 2024-04-17 00:30

That was a really fun experience ^^

Most of all I love the art. Just as fabulous as in the previous Ludum Dare. That iced coffee looked so enticing I couldn't help but choose it over some poki sticks. (Found it ironic I still have to attend a zoom meeting, now for mourning...damn.)

The atmosphere is chill and relaxing, as the flow of the game is slow and music fits the vibe. So it's easy to relax and spend more time hanging out in this game.

I checked out all the days in my calendar and messed with some other objects as well :) Overall the way the game is presented, animation, little emotions on the glasses person, e-mails - looks neat and thought out.

The little "mini-games" are cool too. I have to admit I got way too excited about opening sugar packages xD Candles got me confused for a second (Huh? Electric candles? I am living in stone age over here...)

However, sometimes I had troubles activating the objects to interact. I feel like some activation zones and animations worked with varying success. At my second playthrough attempt I got completely stuck on sugar =\

fabi.jpg

Also, with dialogue windows - when I clicked my mouse again, the new dialogue opened up while previous was still typing itself out. I am used to visual novels where clicking a mouse just makes the whole text box appear at once without typing itself out gradually. So maybe that's on me, but I had to adjust a bit with my impatience! :D

marrs 2024-04-17 13:07

sugar.png

Enjoyed the game, but I too got stuck on the sugar because I initially stopped dragging too soon and then did not figure out how to finish those bags.

fullsaphir 2024-04-17 13:10

Well, I kill Greg and go to hell. It's a pretty game! The only problem are the dialogue boxes who are a little weird to click. Really cool game!

movealonghome 2024-04-17 13:38

I love the art and what I got to see of the dialogue but got complete stuck at the sugar, could not get any interaction from the packed. I tried to pixel hunt for the correct spot but nothing. It may be that I am doing something wrong but no feedback means I don't know what i did wrong.

typicalkin 2024-04-17 16:53

While the gameplay for opening the sugar packets was a bit wonky if you don't rip it all the way, I really liked the story and visuals for this! Screw greg in particular lol. I have a feeling this demon really likes coffee.

inune 2024-04-17 19:47

I had such a good time playing this! Love the attention to detail with the opening of the bags and items, and the text effects were so fun! I really laughed when the demon said hell is basically your office. Did you build the dialogue system yourself or use an asset? Great job!

stamestratagem 2024-04-17 19:54

Pros: It looks beautiful, very elegant. The musical choice is tasteful too, and the sound design is creative and cute!

Cons: controls are not obvious for me. Maybe it was in the long text, but I dislike these kinds of manuals, because they're not very entertaining for me. It couldn't keep me engaged for long.

frozenfire92 2024-04-18 00:20

Great game, with a humorous (yet too real) story :joy: :sob: I liked how it had two endings! I also struggled with the lipstick for a minute before realizing I needed to click off of it to get to the part you have in the description gif. Keep on making games!

lamp-p 2024-04-18 02:05

Humor on point, great animations and a nice short story wrapped in a tidy little package. Not going to be for everyone but if text based games are your thing your sure to enjoy this.

kyunru 2024-04-18 21:48

I absolutely adore the art style; it's incredibly pretty. The way the sugar bags rip open and the lipstick twists is such a nice touch. Great job :)

greenradiation 2024-04-19 09:29

Wow! You put so much effort into this game. It's so pleasant to play; the mini-games are made very tactically, I really like them. Unfortunately, I got stuck at the part with the sugar, but ultimately, you did a great job!

pfannkuchen 2024-04-19 09:58

I love it! Just a great, beautiful, fun and cute game. Got both endings, very relatable

coda-highland 2024-04-20 20:45

Apparently demons don't care about substitutions for the summoning ritual itself, but you'd better get the right offering!

A lot of the interactions seemed really flaky. Is there just a set timer on the scenes where the items first appear before they can be interacted with?

weefairyfabi 2024-04-27 07:45

@thatfirey Aww thank you so much! Hearing such lovely words makes my day :)

@norah Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed the game if you look past the bits that are a bit of a struggle. And the ending is the best part, isn't it hahah

@velvetlobster Haha thank you for coming back to say that, I thought so too! It is totally on my to-plat list :3

@fullsaphir Thank you, Greg had it coming hahaha! :3

weefairyfabi 2024-04-27 07:50

@kanity Oh my gosh thank you so much for the lovely and thorough comment, seeing people come back and play our little games again makes me feel warm and fuzzy <3 I am glad you had a good time exploring all the little mini interactive elements, we really tried to up the polish of our game a little this time! That is a shame, it never got stuck for us so I am not 100% sure what is making it stick but we implemented a few small changes that should make it work better now?

Oh gosh yes that is exactly the kind of progression for text we want, we used a custom script to progress text this time and it sure is still a work in progress but I am writing that down to add!! ^^

weefairyfabi 2024-04-27 07:56

@movealonghome & @typicalkin Thank you so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed the art. I am not quite sure what is wrong with the sugar packets (though I would guess it has something to do with rushing and lack of sleep haha) but we have tried implementing a few fixes based on the feedback! Thank you so much for giving it a valid shot and hopefully it can be fixed! :) Also who doesn't love coffee XD (my programmer hates it but his opinion does not count :P)

whalejam 2024-04-27 07:57

@weefairyfabi Hey! :(

weefairyfabi 2024-04-27 08:05

@inune Thank you so much for the lovely feedback!! Haha I am glad you liked my writing, my office sure feels hellish sometimes XD This time we made our own dialogue system, a lot of our jam time is spent experimenting with them because I just love making narrative games and to be fair, I am a fussy artist who want's everything to be the way I imagine so my programmer suffers haha

@frozenfire92 Hahah thank you so much, I am both glad and sorry that this story resonates with you :3 Oooh yes that is a very valid point, we will patch that to auto close! Thank you for the pointer :)

@lamp-p Thank you! That is definitely true, I would love for everyone to enjoy my games but I do lean very text heavy since they are my favourites! Our hopes are to work our way up to super interactive games so more people have fun playing :)

weefairyfabi 2024-04-27 08:19

@kyunru Aww thank you!!! I tried something a little different from my normal stuff so I am glad you liked ittt! :)

@greenradiation Thank you for the lovely feedback and hopefully we have managed to fix this by now :)

@pfannkuchen Thank you! I love your username haha

@coda-highland Clearly my demons just want good snacks (I can relate to that) We are adjusting some of the timing so hopefully it is a bit clearer which bits are interactive and which aren't now :)

local-minimum 2024-04-28 08:57

Wonderful art! Really fantastic work with that. It was all very thought through.

The one thing with style though. The font looked really nice... with the exception of the apostrophes... they were really off:

badaphos.png

The humor and narration was top notch. It feels a bit related to my own entry, though coming from an entirely perspective with the botched summoning ritual. It had a smile on my face all the way through.

Admittedly the game play was very limited, but the interactions in the mini-games where very nice and tactile. It was a bit odd each time they started though. As if the game was wanting me to do something when presenting it but not reacting and then it started. If it was just a delay, then I'd consider shortening it and perhaps adding some effects of feedback if the player is impatient like me and starts clicking it.

Very good entry.

alzhu1 2024-04-28 22:45

Pretty interesting visual novel, I liked the angle you took with hating work and wanting to destroy the office; both endings were pretty funny. The minigames were a nice distraction, though it would've been cool to see more interactive elements in the game. One nitpick is that I wish clicking would advance the current text box to its fullest, before showing the next one, because I was reading it faster than the text was appearing. Other than that, it's short and sweet, a nice simple game. Good job!

psv-games-studio 2024-05-02 18:55

Cool game! I liked the visual style and the music, at one point the sugar part didn't work very well, it got stuck in one position. Overall, good job!

rashcan 2024-05-03 10:16

I liked how tactile tearing the sugar packets was, great job!
