Oct 7 23:28:46 Whistleberry ♥ 2 OMG this is so effing loving <3
Oct 8 11:41:08 12h 12m Mice Cage / 鼠笼 ♥ 0 I really loved the sketchy and scribbly art style, the music has a very mysterious and point-and-click vibe to it, which is quite intriguing. What you've done here is pretty interesting. It's also fascinating that there seems to be a cool metaphor woven in with the elements you've created. My favorite was this one. Screenshot 2024-10-08 083709.png I think the only aspect that seemed a bit off to me was the somewhat cartoonish design of the arrows—it kind of takes away from the mysterious vibe. But other than that, everything here is quite intriguing. I can definitely envision this growing into a larger project.
Oct 8 11:48:24 7m 16s Those Darn Nanobot AI Will Be The End of Us All ♥ 0 Wow, I seriously loved the Claymation style of the Assets' animations; it reminds me of ClayFighters, even some of the sound effects have a ClayFighters vibe. It took me a while – and I'm not proud to admit it – to figure out what I was supposed to do, but once I got it, I realized this thing has a really frenetic energy. this was the best score I could get Screenshot 2024-10-08 084606.png
Oct 8 11:52:31 4m 07s Frogi ♥ 1 No, this is pretty straightforward, quite nice actually, even pretty relaxing. It took me a while to figure out why I kept dying. I hadn't noticed that the dragonflies release something to harm you. I particularly enjoyed the music and the soundscape.
Oct 8 11:55:41 3m 10s Tiny Wreckers ♥ 1 Wow, this is pretty cool—it's like a cross between World of Goo and Katamari, and it also gives off vibes of that game I am fish. Wow, I absolutely loved the sounds. It's so satisfying to hear the ball rolling and sticking. Man, I could play this for hours on end.
Oct 8 15:25:17 3h 29m A Moving Service ♥ 3 This game is really fun and quite cute, but also a bit challenging. It took me a while to successfully carry my first object. 😊
Oct 8 15:28:26 3m 09s Birbs Chat ♥ 1 I enjoyed sitting here pretending to be the bar manager. 😄 Screenshot 2024-10-08 122638.png
Oct 8 15:37:22 8m 56s Are you listening? ♥ 2 The art in this is just so beautiful! The soundscape that plays in the background is also really cool, truly very cool. The whole monotone, black and white theme makes for a really interesting experience. I just think it might need to be a bit less, let’s say, obvious in reaching the more optimistic ending. This way, it can be a bit more impactful. But this can be achieved by working more on the project, making it richer in the future. Screenshot 2024-10-08 123358.png
Oct 8 15:43:10 5m 48s TINY PACK ♥ 1 Oh, my, it's truly refined here! The artwork is quite beautiful, and the sounds are incredibly pleasing—honestly, they're quite satisfying to listen to. Rolling the dice, you feel the urge to jump into the next battle, and the minimalist soundscape keeps you wanting to play over and over again. 🎲
Oct 8 15:46:58 3m 48s Scrubby Shrimp ♥ 3 Oh my, the animation of that shrimp is delightful! The playful background music adds a humorous flair to the overall experience. My only issue here is that using the WASD and space bar controls is quite challenging for a left-handed person like me, who uses the mouse with the left hand. I lack the skill, let's say, to control it like that. Perhaps including both WASD and IJKL keys could solve the problem because then I could use my right hand for controls. 😊
Oct 8 15:50:41 3m 43s Drawer Sheep ♥ 1 Wow, I found this idea for an automation puzzle to be truly brilliant! I don't think I've seen anything like it, focusing on painting. It's incredibly satisfying when you manage to, well... make it work. It would be interesting if there were different little figures, and if they had some behavior when they look at each other. Screenshot 2024-10-08 124911.png
Oct 8 15:57:09 6m 28s RATvolution! ♥ 1 I quite enjoyed the art; it gives off a really nice vibe. The background music adds a touch of melancholy, which I found quite interesting too. That being sad, I did find a few issues. One of them was the battle scene that caught me by surprise. Suddenly, it transitions from a platform to turn-based combat, and the interface elements were somewhat faded, which made it unclear what actions were available or what was expected. I started the game without any instructions, so I was just thrown into the experience. Screenshot 2024-10-08 125242.png Another aspect still connected to the battle is that you're controlling with the keyboard, and suddenly you're thrown into a scene where you have to use the mouse to make choices. I would hope that you could also use the keyboard, just like in Pokémon, where you use the arrow keys to navigate through the turn-based battle menu options.
Oct 8 16:00:03 2m 54s Jelly Gang ♥ 1 Wow, I think this is the most inventive and innovative gameplay idea I've seen so far in the games I've reviewed here at the Jam. It's truly chaotic, fresh, and intriguing. Man, it's really cool, really cool indeed. Wow, and the background music gives off this relaxed vibe, contrasting with the chaotic motion of the physics at play. This is super cool. I'm really excited to see this moving forward and to find out what else you can include in a full game.
Oct 8 16:12:04 12m 01s ETHERNET ♥ 2 I quite enjoyed that spider web physics system. It turns out to be an intriguing experience—somewhat in the realm of a platformer, I suppose. You jump, yet it's all based on physics, which is a cool idea to explore. There's definitely something captivating about it. I wonder if it would be intriguing to introduce levels that are a bit more chaotic, allowing you to explore and have, let's say, multiple exits for the levels.
Oct 8 16:15:20 3m 16s Certain Drough ♥ 2 I'm eagerly awaiting the web version so I can dive into your game. 😊
Oct 8 16:20:44 5m 24s Bee Hold ♥ 3 Just a heads-up, I noticed that your Ludum Dare game link isn't on your Itch.io page. I found you there, and I had to guess what the link was here, but I got it. 😄 I found it quite interesting that there is a mechanic of escaping and collecting flowers. It's amusing to imagine a bee detaching an entire flower head. 😂 Later, it surprised me when it suddenly turned into a typing game, which is cool, but I really wasn't expecting it, especially since I jumped in without reading anything about the game. Hey, I was also surprised by the handmade artwork in there—it's got a lot of promise! 😊 I think a game with these kinds of hand-drawn arts would look adorable, especially if they were scanned in. Screenshot 2024-10-08 131745.png
Oct 8 16:38:57 18m 13s Cauldron Creatures ♥ 4 Just letting you know that on your Itch.io page, there's no link to your game here on ldjam. I found it here, but there's no link there. I loved mixing the ingredients there, but I have to confess that I ended up creating the creatures sort of by accident. I'm not sure if I truly understood that magic book; I just threw things in randomly, and eventually, little critters started to emerge. I thoroughly enjoyed the little animation of the creature's emergence; it's quite satisfying to watch the whole thing tremble, and it truly feels like you've created a majestic being.
Oct 8 17:09:34 30m 37s Waddle ♥ 3 Hi there! 😊 I noticed that the game link on Ludum Dare isn't on itch.io. Just a heads up—I had to find it here by guessing the url. The art in this game is quite charming, with a delightful touch. in the start It seemed like the game was zoomed in when I started the first level, and I couldn't quite see where the ducks were heading. Then, almost by instinct and somewhat randomly, I scrolled with the mouse, and voilà, there was the duck mama
Oct 8 17:13:18 3m 44s Gnorberium ♥ 0 I truly enjoyed the concept here; I love these Idle games where you can just watch and see things unfold. 😊 The bubly bear animations are quite charming. I can imagine this game playing with a lovely lo-fi soundtrack, paired with delightful animal variations. I love the idea that you can't die, so it's the kind of thing I'd have on my second monitor while working and enjoying some lo-fi beats. 😊
Oct 8 17:20:36 7m 18s a pixie perfect fairytale ♥ 0 This is quite charming, reminiscent of an old fairy tale book. I also loved how the movement of that little box, from which the story is revealed, gradually shifts and displays segments of the scenery as the tale unfolds on the left side. I believe a few issues I've experienced here are related to the lack of clarity in highlighting elements—at least for me. The design often features a uniform tone, making it challenging to discern when interaction is required. For instance, that part where you're supposed to click on the book at the very beginning took me a while to notice. It wasn't immediately clear that this was a standout element within that scene. At another moment here, it seems like it froze because when I click on anything, nothing happens. I'm not sure if I did something wrong. It was right in this scene. 🤔 Screenshot 2024-10-08 141634.png
Oct 8 17:36:26 15m 50s Things that I Treasure ♥ 1 My favorite game so far—simply fantastic. There were a few puzzles where I got a bit stuck, took me a little while to get through them, but it was so worth it for the art and storytelling. Everything is subtle yet very powerful and really well-executed. I must admit, this sentence here truly left a lasting impression on me. 😊 Screenshot 2024-10-08 143148.png Some observations I would add to this are that I found the sound to be quite low, particularly the music during the opening and closing cutscenes. It's a shame because the music is genuinely good. Perhaps it could be turned up a bit? I'm not sure if it's just me, but it seems quieter compared to other sounds here. In the second puzzle, it was also challenging to figure out which horn belonged to which box, as there were more than one that looked quite similar. I believe there were two horns that resembled an "S" and two more that looked like a "5," or something along those lines. In the dragonfly puzzle, it was the first time I had to use the hints, and that's when I realized all I had to do was listen. You can actually hear the sound of the dragonflies—I hadn't picked up on that before. 🐉🎧
Oct 8 17:44:00 7m 34s Familiar Bones ♥ 1 I appreciate how, all of a sudden you are drawing a pumpkin. I got stuck here twice. If you go back to talk to the witch, with the claw, when you press E in the last dialogue, it triggers a new dialogue again. So, the trick I managed to pull off to get out is to press and hold the opposite direction while pressing E, because that way, Pata doesn’t trigger the conversation again. The other time, it happened at the gate again. I used the same trick to get out. Anyway, I found the text delightful, the blending of art with that somewhat melancholic music in the background, and you get to play as a cat—something that's always welcome. 😄
Oct 8 17:54:57 10m 57s A very small seed ♥ 1 Wow, that was truly beautiful. The artwork, without any text, has a minimalist charm that's genuinely delightful. And now I'm just feeling extremely silly because I've been stuck on this puzzle for about 10 minutes, which must be very simple. I really want to finish this game, but there's just this last part, and I feel like it's just this final piece. However, I have no clue how to solve it. Screenshot 2024-10-08 145229.png
Oct 8 18:10:03 15m 06s Pigeon Pummel ♥ 2 That was quite fun, an intriguing concept, and it's really satisfying to play around with the pigeon and try to hit a car, although it seems I'm not particularly good at it. 😂 Screenshot 2024-10-08 150920.png
Oct 8 18:22:47 12m 44s Yase-gaeru ♥ 3 Really interesting concept here. It's quite innovative, with a touch of chaos—just a tad challenging to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's quite satisfying to catch those flies and get to them. 🪰 The background music is genuinely beautiful, and the art evokes a somewhat melancholic, yet samurai-like vibe. It's quite impressive.
Oct 8 18:24:43 1m 56s Bee-Gone! ♥ 1 The background music is quite amusing, and those angry-faced bees chasing people are hilarious. 😂
Oct 8 18:37:35 12m 52s Critter Conflict ♥ 3 I loved it; this art style is quite remarkable, fitting seamlessly with the background music and the vibe it conveys there. The characters have quite a bit of personality as well, and it's nice how you can sense touches of humor from the start with the Goblin, wielding its grand impressive rifle to negotiate. 😂
Oct 8 18:42:30 4m 55s Sammich ♥ 5 Hey, this is really quite good, genuinely impressive, and you can clearly see the inspiration from Katamari, with that whole bizarre storyline featuring insects and tiny creatures. It's very amusing. The art is simply delightful, and the game, with its chaotic and frenetic nature, is really fun. It's akin to a 3D Tetris with a Katamari mechanics and vibes. Moreover, the characters, their sounds, and the comic book style of the cutscenes are quite enjoyable.
Oct 8 18:51:06 8m 36s Algie's Adventure ♥ 2 This game seems truly captivating. I'd love to play it, and I really wish I could try it out here. Is there any chance you might release a web version?
Oct 8 18:56:56 5m 50s G-news ♥ 4 I think this game has the best soundtrack I've heard in all the games I've played here at LDjam. It's truly original. I even went on Soundcloud to check out more of this guy's work because it really is very good.
Oct 9 00:01:59 5h 05m Mon - Shared Pet Simulator ♥ 1 This is quite nice, but I'm unsure how to actually purchase clothes for my cat. When I click, it seems like nothing is happening. Screenshot 2024-10-08 132302.png Another thing I'm curious about is how you... it seems there's a multiplayer element where you can see how your cat is doing and how the cats of others are. I'd like to know more about this, but where can I find that?
Oct 9 10:56:24 10h 54m Beyond Fear ♥ 4 Wow, I found the artwork here simply fantastic. The subtle sound effects complement it very well, and the animation of the creatures makes them quite genuinely terrifying. That plot twist at the end is really cute, I thought it was all pretty cool. It was simultaneously rather cute, yet also quite frightening. Screenshot 2024-10-09 075315.png reminds me a lot of Forgotten Anne
Oct 9 11:39:43 43m 19s Plankton Rush Hour ♥ 2 I really found the little sea creatures quite charming, and the shrimp with a briefcase and hat is downright adorable. 😊 The segments with texts between levels seem quite disconnected from the gameplay, especially since there's nothing visual to accompany them. It actually took me a while to realize there was any text happening there because it just felt like something unrelated to the gameplay. I Imagine the possibility of populating the sea with an endless variety of creatures! Different types of plankton, perhaps, and other marine life, which could certainly make navigating these waters quite fascinating.
Oct 9 11:43:47 4m 04s Star-Bearers ♥ 1 The art is quite charming and intriguingly peculiar in a good way. This kinda remind me a bit of Pikmin. There's just one little issue ... I think I'm supposed to take, let's say, 10 here, right? But if there aren't 10 because most of them are gone, it's kind of like the same as losing, right? Because you can't complete the level, is that it? Screenshot 2024-10-09 084208.png
Oct 9 11:50:52 7m 05s Stick Racing ♥ 1 Hey there! This is genuinely cool. I loved all the assets crafted from paper; it's such a creative touch. I'd definitely buy a full version of this game with more levels and some control tweaks on Steam. One thing worth mentioning is that some letters have very little contrast, and I took a while to understand or even read the part that says I broke the car. Screenshot 2024-10-09 084656.png Perhaps using papers of different colors and/or writing the text with a marker or a thicker pen might do the trick. The paper crumpled as we hit the car. Simply brilliant, by the way. 😊
Oct 9 11:55:47 4m 55s A Fairy Collection ♥ 1 The music is quite lovely, and the entirely hand-drawn art is really cool too. 😊 I managed to catch all of them, but I confess there was one that I think I caught by accident. Screenshot 2024-10-09 085504.png
Oct 9 12:09:14 13m 27s char chase ♥ 0 Wow, this is indeed a fantastic idea for a child-friendly game. The animations are quite charming, the sounds are satisfyingly pleasing, and the design is truly adorable.
Oct 9 12:12:17 3m 03s Desk Crawlers ♥ 1 The assets in this game are quite charming, with a delightful design. The monotone color palette adds a unique touch to the experience. I truly enjoyed the sounds made with the mouth as well
Oct 9 12:15:07 2m 50s Tara ♥ 2 I used to adore these little creatures in this style of art. The puzzles are quite engaging, particularly as you start incorporating more than just two little pink haired "critters". I believe there's a lot of potential to expand this game and create countless puzzle scenarios using these mechanics of kicking and jumping.
Oct 9 12:18:30 3m 23s Juicy Little Morsels ♥ 2 This mechanic of catching morsels is quite clever—simple, effective, and surprisingly addictive. It reminds me a bit of the fishing mechanics in Dredge. You know, having to release or press the button when the pointer is in a specific area of the round thingy.
Oct 9 12:23:35 5m 05s PolyGone ♥ 2 Wow, I spent the entire game thinking it was an abandoned pizza box that took over people's bodies. So, I was wondering why people felt the need to hit the pizza box, quite puzzling. 😂 Screenshot 2024-10-09 092136.png This is truly quite enjoyable; from the first scene, it already gets you laughing.
Oct 9 12:27:35 4m 00s Mioritza ♥ 2 Wow, I really enjoyed this art style and the narrative. The storyline is quite engaging and the characters are captivating and felt really unique 🐑😊 I enjoyed the background music too; it makes you want to watch the scenes calmly, in that cozy vibe.
Oct 9 12:35:31 7m 56s First summer - a bee story ♥ 1 Wow, this is pretty cool. It's like those ant colony games, but here you're managing bee colonies instead. I particularly liked this style of art, as it truly makes it stand out. I found the choices for these evolutions quite interesting, such as the astrological tower. It steers in a different direction compared to games like ant colony simulations, where you're drawing from real ant concepts. Yours includes a certain element of fantasy it seems.
Oct 9 12:41:01 5m 30s Oh God Please Don't Kill Me Mr. Frog ♥ 2 I truly enjoyed the artwork, particularly those animations. That doodle effect, kind of wobbly, adorable. Something that happened to me, is that during the main cutscene, there was that big button to skip it. After waiting for quite a few minutes with nothing happening, I ended up having to skip it. But I was really curious to see what it was all about! Screenshot 2024-10-09 093657.png I had to press it over there, and after a few minutes of nothing happening, I think it might have frozen.
Oct 9 12:44:05 3m 04s Ludum Dare 56 ♥ 3 Okay, this is quite enjoyable and gives you some laughs right from the start. My favorite child was the one with sunglasses. 😎 Screenshot 2024-10-09 094312.png The news is even more hilarious. 😂 Screenshot 2024-10-09 094222.png
Oct 11 12:46:53 48h 02m Peculiar Pickings ♥ 1 Hey, I really enjoyed the soundtrack here. It has an atmosphere that leans towards psychological horror, which I found quite intriguing. The artwork of the face is particularly interesting. I think I found a bug though. When you grab more than one creature at the same time, it seems like one of them gets stuck in your hand, and you can't capture any others or release the extra one that's in your hand. Screenshot 2024-10-11 094400.png And it remains right there even when you pick up the hammer. If you look behind, you can see the little ball. Screenshot 2024-10-11 094808.png
Oct 11 13:20:26 33m 33s Fairy Haven: The Search for Home ♥ 2 Wow, the number of texts here is quite impressive! I've experienced numerous ways of 'game over' and ended up with various scores. I get the impression that this 'True' wasn't supposed to be there. Screenshot 2024-10-11 100618.png Certainly, it’s worth mentioning that the atmosphere of the game is quite captivating. The artwork is impressive, and it keeps you at a certain level of constant tension, which cleverly contrasts with the fact that it's a story about fairies.
Oct 11 13:24:47 4m 21s The Little Life ♥ 1 This seems like a sort of terrarium simulator, quite interesting. I can see this with a soundtrack, perhaps a bit like a slightly melancholic lo-fi. It would transform into those cozy games you keep playing on your second monitor while you work, watching the progress of your terrarium.
Oct 14 11:32:40 70h 07m Will of the Wisp ♥ 2 The playfulness with the name is quite clever, kinda "Ori and the will of the wisp." but here its the will of the wisp without Ori. The movement is smooth the camera zooming in and out feels nice. The art pairs wonderfully with the music, crafting a mood that's delightfully introspective. The concept of showcasing thoughts while you navigate is quite intriguing; it enhances that introspective vibe even more.
Oct 15 00:27:06 12h 54m Personality test ♥ 1 Screenshot 2024-10-14 212114.png anyone like mine? I'm genuinely thrilled that I returned to find this game—it's truly something special. You can definitely notice the personal touch, with the dialogues, the sounds, and the texts. It's all really well done. By the way, it doesn't say at the beginning, but I think, like in every RPG Maker game, you can move by clicking on things with the left mouse button. This might actually be a faster way to interact with objects.
Oct 15 21:08:30 20h 41m The drunk bassist of Hamelin ♥ 2 how did I miss this one until this moment, this is amazing omg please release it on steam and let me pay for it Ah, the text, the music, and the cutscenes are all truly impressive. Just impressive. It's my favorite. I watched the trailer and remember not being able to hold back my laughter at more than one moment. I truly believe it's quite challenging for anyone to score higher than this in humor. Screenshot 2024-10-15 180726.png
Oct 16 13:37:26 16h 28m Stuart's Perfect Day ♥ 2 I got a baby faced fish. Screenshot 2024-10-16 103434.png this one was also nice Screenshot 2024-10-16 103408.png I really dig this thing of expecting the next cool creature ... the art and ambience are awesome btw this is really a nice experience, I just wish there was more feedback or some fishing minigame like the one in dredge ... I often had no idea what I was doing to do the fishing and just went clicking everywhere randomly
Oct 21 11:42:27 118h 05m Make Your Board & Climb In It ♥ 1 I really enjoyed the sounds; they are quite pleasant. As for the gameplay, I must admit it took me a little while to grasp it. building the path and after walking with the spider is quite inventive and original. it seems simple, but it turns out to be complex because you can create a quite unfeasible path, as was my case most of the time 😄.
