I was kinda lost but the game is fun
was hard to understand what different things do, but loved the idea
Very many things is available right away, and it's not always clear what each building does and how units differ. I really like the idea of indirect control - I'm a big fan of the old game Majesty, if you know it. The graphics are stylish and pleasant. Well done!
It looks really fun, sadly the web version seems to be broken, on the LD website it gave this error "Error The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing: Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers) SharedArrayBuffer - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)" and on itch it made my computer freeze and never loaded. I don't have windows so I can't download the files. If you can fix it I would gladly play. Good job!
@poutine-studio Sorry to hear that! It's an issue with Godot exports not working properly on the web without special features enabled, which LD doesn't seem to support. As for the itch issue, we're not sure what could be wrong but we'll try looking into it, thank you!
Fun game! GG!
It was neat! It took me two tries to learn how to play but once I did it made sense. Some of the sound effects were really loud compared to everything else. I liked the variety of units!
I am impressed by the amount of options the game gives you, as a counterpart players may need a tutorial or hints on what to do. Very good job on the assets too, the game has a clear identity, good job !
I am not sure what so many thing are and/or do.
do the units have stats different than health? Are some better for crafting/fighting/gathering? What does crafting do exactly? What does the count on buildings control/do? Is there a way to know what a building will do before I build it?
I like that you can set priorities for each unit. Even though it quickly becomes really unmanageable. It would be nice to have a setting that applies priorities to all future summons. Also it would be really nice if you could tell what a unit is currently doing. Like a little icon above their head that show you what their action is. I was being attacked and I see a bunch of my guys coming to fight, and then walk past the enemies to collect recourses :)
Wow, this game reminded me of the cell phone game WorldBox)
@blank-3d yes units have diffrent stats like damage, working time and speed. Crafting allows you to get resources which you can't gather. Count in building add crafted resource to queue so units can craft it. Unfortunately we don't have time to make it so there is no way to check it
also thank you for your feedback
I enjoyed it! It was rather confusing in the beginning though. I wish dudes gathered stuff nearby instead of running around from one side of the map to another. But maybe that's how actual demon management works.
Quite an interesting game! Reminds me of WorldBox but if we took one of the sides, coolio!
Amazing job within the time limits. Took a couple of play thoughts to get the hang of enough of it to survive a couple of rounds, but never did get far. I could benefit from some tool tips on the summons and buildings to indicate what the did, or what they were strong in, etc.
fun game its nice to just chill and play for a while it took me a some time to figure out what everything did but once I did it was a vibe. it really does remind me of WorldBox.
I love the gameplay, It reminds me of Minecraft and its relaxing comapred to other games on here, it makes it stand out :)
Interesting game. I think my favourite part about it is the art assets. It was difficult to manage the priorities of lots of different minions, especially with humans attacking so frequently in large groups. But the underlying idea is strong. Cool game ^-^
Cool game! I like it!
It's a good game, but I feel like the controls are weird.
I kinda missed having a way to scroll away to see all units since they move around so fast and the area is so vast.
I found it clever the priority system you devised fels a lot better than having to command them to do things in specific and I can imagine how useful this can be in a big big area with hundreds of minions
Great! In our game, people also interfere with our demon’s life. Maybe we can join forces?)
The game provide a lot of content and mechanics. Of course, during a jam, you do not have time to build tutorial levels to teach about them one by one. So, we are a little bit confused about what building do what.
But it is a great proposal, a very ambitious one. So far, it is very cool.
Very cool! I love these kind of games. And this is very well done for a jam game. But there are too many different resources, buildings and units that I have no idea what they are good for or how I get them lol
Really nice game! A very ambitious game for a jam, but you managed to pull it off well :) I enjoyed it a lot!
Interesting game! There is a lot going on and it can probably do with some tutorials/hints. I was a little lost in what to do and how to achieve things, but still fun!
Cool game, lots of fun art and a good idea for a mechanic
This is great! I liked the squish you gave the units when they were summoned and when the game started. A lot of breadth to this game. Impressive. Would have been cool if the humans had bases we could surround or destroy. The sounds were nicely chosen too.
What a charming game! It's a bit difficult to understand what I'm supposed to be doing, I just kept summoning minions and buildings but always ended up defeated by humans at some point, and my minions would sometimes stop doing anything. Maybe I should've managed my priorities differently?
Apart from that, I enjoyed the experience. The pixel art looks nice and the simple animations create a nice child-like vibe for the game. The core concept of accumulating ressources to grow an army of demons can be pretty satisfying. Kudos for making music and sound effects too.
Cool entry overall, good job!
Honestly, I don't know what to say about the game. A bunch of things were missing - primarily visual display. It was not clear when you received a resource (unless you monitor them and the entire map at the same time), it was not clear when you dealt damage, etc. Well, there were problems in the UI such as the fact that you can click priority (? ??) commands only forward. And because of all these little things, it was difficult to play in the end. But overall, well done and good luck to you in the future
