| Oct 7 01:19:13 | Loop Online Mmo | ♥ 2 | Pretty cool game and a nice concept.I like the minimalistic art style although, just a tiny bit more colour/stronger colours would stand out nicely. Collision can be a little jerky at times but nothing crashed which is always a plus! Really good job on doing a successful multiplayer for a jam. | |
| Oct 7 01:39:17 | 20m 04s | Sisyphus Beetle Takes His Daughter to Work | ♥ 4 | For such a simple game, I loved it! The whole concept is so random and unique, there's definitely not ten of these floating round the jam! The style was funky and really fit the vibe. I think it could have been made slightly clearer how you earned the souls to buy the timeshare though and balance the audio a little better. Dad jokes were a great touch and actually made me laugh out loud not just sharply exhale through me nose in mild amusement. Awesome job overall! |
| Oct 7 14:00:17 | 12h 21m | Sinner's Hotel | ♥ 1 | Really liked this concept and was a great take on the theme! Storyline was good and although I got the answer wrong first time pretty much every time, kinda made me understand afterward why that was the correct answer (or at least my interpretation based on the character). Maybe got a little too repetitive which I get was the point but by the time I'd done it 10 times, those corridors seemed longggg. Maybe shorten them just a little which would make the game a little more enjoyable but still repetitive :) Graphics were cute and sound complimented it well. Thought the different characters were good too. Overall, an enjoyabe story that hit the theme but just could be slightly less frustrating when you have to go back again after the sixth dorr! Great job guys! |
| Oct 7 14:17:56 | 17m 39s | Stuck In A Loop | ♥ 1 | Really good concept and I liked the touch with the calendar. Felt like there was a story despite it being such a short game and hella relatable after lockdown! Took me a little while to figure out what to do because I couldn't really see the writing on the corkboard and had to walk around a bit to manipulate the camera to get a closer view (well done in managing the camera relatively well though since you said that was a struggle!) Once I knew what I was doing, it was pretty easy although, not sure if it was me, there were times where the interact and pick up buttons popped up, I pressed them, and they didn't do anything that I could see? Liked the audio feedback which let me know that I'd actually completed a task although the art seemed to be three different styles. I quite liked the hand drawn vibe of the main character and would proabably have preferred it persoanlly if the whole game looked like him. Maybe the rooms wouldn't have looked as "good" but I think it fits the vibe. Overall, an enjoyable game when I got to grips with what I was doing and managed the camera! Great concept that was relateable and fit the theme. Awesome job, well done! |
| Oct 7 14:45:10 | 27m 14s | Endless Ocean Cleanup | ♥ 1 | Great little game that fit the concept and has replayability with the scoring system. Love the low poly islands and the movement of the background ships bring the game alive a bit. Enjoyable to play but I agree wth you and others that there could be more audio and visual feedback for actions to make it more immersive and clearer what is happening. Overall, a really great game! |
| Oct 7 15:18:20 | 33m 10s | A Night Around the Fire | ♥ 2 | The graphics and audio were amazing and really made the creepy atmosphere. RIP guitar man... Loved the animation of how he walks, runs, hides and even looks around when hiding. Makes it very engaging and more dynamic. The only criticisms I'd have would be the lack of replayability. With it getting more difficult every "loop", you could have added a simple loop counter which would then give people a reason to play again and try and run round more times! However, I'm sure you had more things you wanted to add but lacked the time and what you made is already impressive for a solo game as well! Overall, great job and I'd love to see a more fleshed out version if you decided to carry on working on it. |
| Oct 7 15:38:34 | 20m 14s | Mom! I've got a job! | ♥ 2 | WELL THAT WAS ADORABLE! If pressing F wasn't the first thing people did, they need to revaluate their life decisions. Graphics and audio worked well together and made a real nice, dynamic game atmosphere. Level progression was nice although I agree with previous comments that it gets a little tedious having to walk so far. The other thing I would say is maybe increase the jump height since I found myself getting stuck between bookshelves on the third level, getting hit by goats, not being able to move coz they froze me then having to wait for them to knock me out. That may have also just been me being a bit bad at the game though aha. Overall, a really nice game that filled my cuteness requirements for the day! Well done! |
| Oct 7 15:53:33 | 14m 59s | Inside the Planet | ♥ 3 | Really cute game and loved the concept! Audio and visual feedback was really nice except I would agree with some people that the respawn animation should be quicker. Levels progressed nicely although I did find it quite difficult and had to quit at level 4 but I am just pretty terrible at platformers haha. |
| Oct 7 16:04:33 | 11m 00s | iLoop - the 2D endless runner game of a robot stuck in a loop :) | ♥ 2 | I know some people mentioned before but it definitely reminds me of the dino game on chrome! Graphics are cute and I like the scores, ranks and stats that add to the replayability factor. Unfortunately, I think the gameplay was a little lacking and you could add some more variation in frequency/speed of enemies and put more vertical gameplay in as some people said before. I wanted to play again to get a higher rank but it wasn't interesting enough to make me want to play again unfortunately. However, givn the limited amount of time and the fact you put in the stats etc that a lot of entries with more developed gameplay don't have, you did a really great job in making a cute game! Well done! |
| Oct 7 16:37:37 | 33m 04s | Home Sweet Home | ♥ 1 | Such a beautiful and relaxing game. Would happily play this on the commute to work to pass the time! Simple but original concept which is a little different to the other colour matching games out there. The beautiful, bright block colours and the music really create a nice atmopshere too. Only thing I would say is that the ship can be difficult to manoeuvre when trying to stop on a small planet. |
| Oct 7 20:51:16 | 4h 13m | Manipulate the Loop | ♥ 0 | I like the concept although I think the theme is a link to the theme is a little tenuous. Love a good puzzle game and the puzzles were well made but as someone who isn't very good at precision and timing with game controls, I found it a little too difficult. |
| Oct 7 21:01:02 | 9m 46s | Of Kats and Carens | ♥ 2 | Cute and funny concept! Let out your Karen frustrations in game form 😆 I agree with some previous comments about the circle being a little difficult to deal with and level difficulty increasing with speed not just number of Karens and circles. Graphically very good with the character animation and speech bubbles making it a really dynamic game. The visual and audio feedback was really nice with the loops as well! Great job! |
| Oct 7 21:13:42 | 12m 40s | BagJam | ♥ 3 | I liked the concept of this with the increasing difficulty keeping it interesting! I especially liked having to remember which bags are okay after the scanner and maybe for future levels, passengers standing in different places would be interesting to make you run around a little more :) Graphics were cute and the audio and visual feedback from doing different tasks was really nice. Only had a little problem when some luggage rejoined the main conveyor after going through the voucher machine, they overlapped with other luggage so I always lost a life when I tried to push one of them since they got pushed together. I also agree with the colour issue that others had but on top of that, I found it quite difficult to tell what bags were damaged on some of them as well. Overall, a really cool game! |
| Oct 7 21:24:37 | 10m 55s | Loop Something Something | ♥ 3 | Really enjoyed the unique concept and the link to the theme was quite subtle but definitely strong especially after the first few times I dind't know what I was doing and got stuck! Found it a little tricky at first to place blocks where I wanted them but I got used to the movement pretty quick with the feedback being really nice as well. |
| Oct 7 21:32:24 | 7m 47s | Shatter | ♥ 1 | Loved this concept and I would definitely play a lot of this on the way to work if it was a mobile game! Really nicely polished with a relaxing atmosphere. Like others, I would have loved some more levels but I also had the same issue struggling with time for puzzle level design so I completely understand! With a litte more time, I think the shatter animation could be worked on so it doesn't click back together so obviously and be a little smoother but really great job overall! Well done! |
| Oct 7 21:55:55 | 23m 31s | Stuck in a Soup Loop | ♥ 4 | Such a cute game! You've made me want to become a soup chef! I liked the graphics and the audio feedback was great too. The only thing that tripped me up at first was I didn't realise I only had to stir the soup one rotation as I didn't realise the buttong was already green to start with! Possibly making the soup chang colour slightly when it is ready to be served would make it clearer especially in the early levels when learning. (A touch if there was more time that would be nice would be for the colour to change depending on the ingredients you put in) Level progression was really good and the scoreboard at the end of each level was a really nice touch. It didn't get too difficult too quickly but I also didn't find it too easy. You really did well with balancing it! Overall, a really great game! Would have to say it's one of the better ones I've played so far so well done! |
| Oct 7 22:09:36 | 13m 41s | The Jolly Journey of J.J.'s Jelly-Jamventure | ♥ 2 | Really cute and visually pleasing! Loved that he grew which was surprising as I wasn't expecting it which also made it easier to get jellies you'd missed the first round. Nicely polished as well with the audio feedback being really nice. Would agree with previous comments about making enemies more obvious but other than than, great job! |
| Oct 14 13:38:38 | 159h 29m | Anything For You | ♥ 4 | Really nicely polished game and the narrative at the end was a really nice touch after all the text! Well done! Possibly one thing that may have improved it would be some more random items as I found the flashback scenes a little too quickly I think. But great job overall! Well done! |
| Oct 15 22:29:46 | 32h 51m | I've Been Busy Being Dead | ♥ 2 | Really nicely polished game with awesome graphics and audio giving it a great atmosphere that's really dynamic and engaging! Would agree with some previous comments about clarity for the game mechanics though as I didn't know why it was taking me so long to haunt things! Really great, original idea though! Awesome job! |
| Oct 15 22:34:41 | 4m 55s | Bird Beats | ♥ 0 | Very charming graphics and audio with the dynamic music creating a really nice and relaxing mood. I did struggle to memorise the letter binding but soon realised it didn't matter since I could just press all the buttons and hear those birds sing haha! Maybe have the bindings on the side as a reminder and have some kind of negative for pressing the wrong key like taking off a layer of the music. Other than that, really cute game! Well done! |
| Oct 15 22:49:59 | 15m 18s | Ribbon | ♥ 1 | Really awesome concept that has so much potential! I did struggle to get used to the movement of the ribbon but it was really smooth and well done especially for compo. The ribbon graphics were really cute with and really appreciated the little detail in animation of background pieces in the second ribbon. However, I feel the background graphics didn't quite match the aesthetic of the ribbon graphics but of course, this could have been a time restriction. Music was a little too intense for my liking and I'm not sure it fit the rest of the vibe but it definitely gt me pumped up! Overall, really awesome game that I would love to see developed and play more levels of! Amazing job! |
| Oct 15 23:02:03 | 12m 04s | Stuck in a loop-Puzzle Game | ♥ 1 | Definitely lots of potential here for more difficult levels and complex gameplay although I appreciate that time was an issue here. I think I would have preferred less of the easy levels which may have freed up some time for some more complex level design for you. Graphics are nice with a subtle glow and although there's no audio feedback (again, assuming time was the restriction here) I would have liked some visual feedback even if it was really small like the commands in the loop flashing when it was being done which would also be nice to see it looping round. Or maybe if the robot lit up the path it took. Possibly a very small celebratory animation when you reach the green target like just a simple spin. Just something small to make the game a little more engaging and dynamic :) Overall, really solid compo entry! Well done! |
| Oct 15 23:29:41 | 27m 38s | Fire in time | ♥ 2 | Nice concept here and level progression was well paced. Ngl, I was a little disappointed that Flammy didn't have a face in the actual gameplay :( Even if he had little eyes, that would have satisfied me haha! The animation was good and audio feedback was satisying so I knew exactly what was happening. The detail of adding flame animation to the start menu was a really nice touch too and it's always nice to see small things like that as it makes the whole game feel much more polished! Awesome job and well done! |
| Oct 19 13:22:26 | 85h 52m | Resurrection | ♥ 10 | It really is a shame that you couldn't be like the rest of the community and do your equal part in leaving good, honest feedback on the games you play since this is a solid entry. I really like the art style and colour which, combined with the audio, creates a really nice mood and atmosphere. The theme was done well too. Some constructive criticism I may have for it would be to maybe make the first level shorter as it seems unecessarily long, possibly add a little more vertical challenge into the platformer level as it would mix things up a little more, and also, you could make the last level a little more challenging by maybe making the flowers smaller or something. These are just small criticisms for a game well done overall. After reading the previous comments, I know I don't need to say again, but I hope you've stopped the spam and left genuine feedback on the games you've played now. If you are unable to manage your time efficiently, consider playing fewer games and leaving good feedback on those as this pushes you up further than purely rating loads of games anyway. This is a community that I am relatively new to and I have been overwhemed by how friendly and helpful everyone is so it's a shame to have someone acting in a way that is so disrespectful. I hope you can learn from this. Great game though and a solid submission. Well done. |
| Oct 19 13:29:55 | 7m 29s | CONTRAST | ♥ 0 | Interesting concept and great addition of the minigames that added another level to the gameplay. The simplistic graphics and atmoshperic music combined with the background narrative made for a great mood. I think it could do with a little more polish with the actual game mechanics and hitboxes feeling a bit weird but solid effort for a jam! Well done! |
| Oct 19 13:40:25 | 10m 30s | Paradox Planet | ♥ 3 | Nice little game with cute graphics. The enemies were really nice and animation was good with the little movements of the grass making it more dynamic. I liked the visual and audio feedback although the gun would still make the shoot noise if you'd clicked it too soon after the previous shot but the gun wouldn't shoot which made me think I was shooting a lot more than I was. I have another couple of things that could add to the polish. One would be maybe moving the origin of the character to the middle of the body rather than including the gun as it was a little strange having him almost walking in circles instead of turning on the spot when the mouse was moved. That said, movement was really nice and smooth. Also, the background was a little too busy and distracting for me. Maybe try making the tiles a little bigger and the contrast between the light and dark colur little less so the pattern isn't as in your face. The purple of the enemies stood out nicely against the green though and I liked the dead slime puddles on the ground as well which made it nice and easy to see where everything would spawn. I'm sure there's lot's more you could have done with it given some more time but great game given the time constraints and well done! |
| Oct 19 13:47:22 | 6m 57s | Asteri | ♥ 2 | A great atmposhere created here and really relaxing as well with the polished graphics and audio making it really soothing. The orbit is a nice subtle link to the theme. The dynamic colour was a nice touch too and not having defined levels but just increasing difficulty made it nice and fluid too. I wasn't expecting the extra obstacles so that was nice since I fully expected to get bored of just slowly going round the planet collecting things. On that note, I did find it was a bit slow not being able to accelerate forward and mainy just upward but maybe I just wasn't very good at controlling him! Overall, really nice game that I would happily play to pass the time on the train :) |
| Oct 19 14:07:15 | 19m 53s | The Witch's Tower | ♥ 1 | I like the concept and the audio and visual feedback was nice. Really nice mood created althought the game mechanics could do with a lot more polishing. There were few occasions when all my loops just disappeared, all the orbs flew away and I had to build a bunch more. Space seemed to duplicate rather than move a turret so that was a littl op. I'm sure this will be an amazing game with a little more polish but it's a really good jam game! |
| Oct 19 14:42:08 | 34m 53s | File 47: An Incident in the Exclusion Zone | ♥ 1 | Okay I really loved this game and played it for farr longer than intended! The only reason I stopped was because I felt like I was going in circles. I really wanted to know what happens and I'd gathered so much information but it was a little unclear of which rooms led to which especially in the casino area where all the rooms seemed to lead to the same place. That said, the story that I got through was good and so complex with all the different pathways making it soooo good for a jam game! Super impressed with the content and the UI is incredbly polished with really nice visual feedback as well. Awesome job! |
| Oct 19 15:06:29 | 24m 21s | At What Cost? | ♥ 4 | Well damn. I realised I was wasn't very good at platformers but thanks for making me realise I'm terrible haha! Really loved this and having each robot named was a great touch and really added to the ending. Nice puzzles that didn't get too samey as a lot of puzzle games will use the same button mechanism for the whole thing but your game made me think harder since you had to figure out what the buttons did and what sequence to use them and for how long. That cannon really had me stuck for far longer than it should have as well! Anyway, really nice graphics and cute animation. The audio was cute too but maybe make it quieter for things happening further away since the cannon firing all the time did get a little distracting. Nice mood created with the lighting as well and just an overall great atmosphere! As a couple of improvements, you could put a little "E" symbol or intruction for the first button as it is quite small and I didn't notice it for a while as I wasn't looking for it. That first door had me stumped! The other thing would be to just poligh off that jump mechanism that doesn't quite work up against a block like people have said already. Really awesome game though! Well done! |
| Oct 21 23:16:30 | 56h 10m | Neon Embrace | ♥ 3 | Like previous comments, it took me far too long to figure out what I needed to do to actually score points so maybe make this clearer. It was also ludicrously difficult especially at the beginning so maybe making the outer circle larger to start would help to ease the player into it. Other than the actual gameplay, amazingly well polished game with great graphics. Love that you can buy more music etc as well. Overall mood is good and the music definitely gets you pumped up! Overall, a very solid entry with just a couple of gameplay tweaks needed to make it a really enjoyable game! |
| Oct 22 11:06:00 | 11h 49m | Exit Only | ♥ 3 | This was a really nice little puzzle game. Felt very original still despite being inspired by antichamber with the addition of the little mini layout which I thought was very clever and the size changing as well. Graphics were simple but fit with the game well. Great entry overall, just wish it was longer as I wanted to keep playing! |
| Oct 22 11:24:36 | 18m 36s | Liftman | ♥ 2 | Really awesome concept with the puzzles being clever as well. Difficulty of the riddles was good as well but there are still a couple I don't know the answer to after playing twice so I could find out what happens after I kill a few too many aha. The nice graphics and simple animation kept it interesting as well without it just being a plain text game. The build of the unknown monster really built a nice moody atmosphere gradually which contrasted nicely with the humour. The fear of the unknown really drives you... Awesome entry! Well done! |
| Oct 22 11:31:56 | 7m 20s | The Magician's Maze | ♥ 3 | Nice concept with a great mood created here as well! I would agree with previous comments with maybe making it wasd to move and mouse to move camera as it felt a little awkward with not being able to walk sideways etc but really solid entry! Well done! |
| Oct 22 11:38:48 | 6m 52s | Ballroom | ♥ 2 | This was a really sweet little game with really nice graphics and I was really rooting for the guy aha. Like prvious comments, I found it was really difficult with the beats not syncing with the music since I had the block out the music in order to not automatically tap in time. Other than that, really nice entry! |
| Oct 22 11:46:42 | 7m 54s | Sock Mates | ♥ 1 | Cute concept but I would agree that the controls felt a bit weird and really random. I also thought it wasn't working as I thought I was the centre sock and ended up accidentally going outside the washing machine? 😆 Nice graphics and audio though! Possibly some feedback when you're freeing the sock would be nice even if it's just a little ding or the centre sock shakes more just so it's easier to tell when you're actually freeing. Really nice little game though! |
| Oct 22 17:15:29 | 5h 28m | Tuneloop | ♥ 2 | Controls and figuring out what to do was a little difficult at first but I'm also not very good at these types of games so I kept dying too quickly to figure things out aha. The inverted up and down really threw me. The music was good but like previous comments have said, the other sfx drown out the music. I like the graphic style though and really went with the music to give a proper nice arcade vibe. Awesome job! Well done! |
| Oct 22 17:27:32 | 12m 03s | The Hanging Tree | ♥ 2 | The intro gives a really nice background to the game and really adds to the polish making it feels more like a full fledged game rather than just a jam game. The visuals (especially the sky) and the music after that dark intro really set the whole tone. The colours work really well together as well. Like other people have said, I also had some trouble with the controls and found it quite difficult but it probably didn't help that my computer ran it a bit slow so it probably didn't run as smoothly for me as it should. However, I totally get that it is hard to make the difficulty well balanced without the time for play-testing etc. Overall, awesome game and the whole atmosphere really makes your game! Well done! |
| Oct 22 17:33:05 | 5m 33s | T O R O I D I R | ♥ 2 | Really nice concept and original too! The black and white graphics make it beautiful yet simple. I would agree with previous comments about possibly putting some audido feedback fro picking up the wrong thing as this would make it clearer and just easier for the player. Really nice job overall though! |
| Oct 22 17:42:21 | 9m 16s | Puppy Loop | ♥ 2 | Really cute game and loved the detail of the little light at the top flashing qhen puppies go by! It's little details like that that make a game feel so much more complete! However, I would agree with previous comments that it is a little repetitive with no goal. Possibly just adding some variation into speeds would make it more interesting as well. Nice entry though! Well done! |
| Oct 22 18:11:08 | 28m 47s | The Turning Point | ♥ 3 | I actually really loved this game. I was just stuck in the loop the first time round thhen I read the comments and realised there was more to it. The concept is great and really reflects reality well. I also quite enjoyed that office job haha! After starting to talk to the girl, I found myself really wanting to get through the day and find out what happens next so I spent longer playing this and held my attention than a lot longer than most of the jam games. I do have a couple of things that could be improved to make it more enjoyable though. On the metro, I found it quite irritating how far apart the arrows were and kept misclicking especially when I was trying to do it as quickly as I could against the clock. Maybe consider having the option to use arrow keys since it's not a skill based game so it doesn't really matter if it's a little too easy. Personally, I found the falling in love over the internet in a week just a little too fast... Maybe if they'd just found the common want to run away they could have just done that as I feel the love part was unnecessary and took away from the reality of the storyline and the relatiablity of the game as a whole. Overall, a really nice game with only a couple of things that pulled it down slightly for me. The moody atmosphere with the music, bland graphics on the metro and in the bedroom and the repetitveness really made for an incredible game! It was engaging, well polished and hit the theme in a beautifully original way. Well done! |
| Oct 22 18:26:39 | 15m 31s | Isolation | ♥ 1 | I really liked this game! The whole atmosphere was nice and I liked the fact that you had to gather those things before leaving the house. Very topical! I think some of the sequences didn't have enough clues there like it doesn't suggest anywhere that the secret code would by for the painting so it did feel a little like trial and error sometimes. However, the commentary was brilliant with a really nice level of humour. Really well done! |
| Oct 22 18:40:48 | 14m 09s | Rogot Slide [Prototype] | ♥ 3 | Really cute graphics here and really love the audio feedback for every little thing, even scraping against the wall, which makes a game so much more polished! The addition of the pop animation was a super nice touch too! The increasing level difficulty was nice with the different elements being introduced nice and gradually. This was especially nice to see in a jam game since I find a lot of them don't have clear instructions or tutorial due to the time limitation. You did a lot in the time with the levels, different blocks and funtioning UI as well! The scoring system was nice too which gives the game an element of replayability. Awesome job, well done! |
| Oct 22 19:14:41 | 33m 53s | Stranded | ♥ 2 | Nice concept but like previous comments say, there are a few things I agree need ironing out such as making it a little clearer which objects you are able to interact with which can be done visually or through sound as well. The graphics were cute but a few more simple animations would have been nice to make it more dynamic and bring the game alive. I think the clues were a little too easy but I know it can be difficult to put together good riddles within the time frame of a jam. Not a bad effort overall though and it definitely has a lot of potential! Well done! |
