the HTML5 link does not seem to work
itch.io link seems broken?
Seems broken?
Interesting concept. The graphics and theme were really nice. I was just a little confused trying to figure out if I had to hit the targets and make them a certain color to unlock the track. I just kept shooting them all until they disappeared which appears was the goal. The quit menu item didn't work for me and also the itch.io link appears to be broken. Thanks for the game!
sound design is quite loud but the music is good anyways. Cool idea but the obstacles are also not bright enough
I second the game being really loud compared to other games on here. Also it would be nice if the ship shot bullets automatically - there's no reason not to spam the fire button anyway and spamming the spacebar while trying to navigate was kind of hard so I used two hands for it.
Thanks everyone for playing. I'll be adjusting the volume after voting, and as for spamming the fire, you can actually just hold down the button. You can also use the left mouse button in the same way if that's more comfortable.
Pretty good on-rails shooter, but the avatar and presentation of the itch.io page gave me a completely different impression of what the game would be.
The itch.io link worked fine for me. I thought the game was pretty good, I especially liked the music and having the ship rotate when moving was a small but much-appreciated touch.
I third the game being really loud, but I'd like to add that the sound effects for flying and shooting drown out a lot of the music and should be significantly lower in volume. I was also not a fan of the Y-axis controls being inverted by default, I would have liked to see a toggle to uninvert them.
That is an interesting concept, I love games with gameplay having an effect on the music (I also made one for this jam ^^), but the sound of the shoot is so loud that I could not hear the music properly while I played. The gameplay is pretty cool.
Controls and figuring out what to do was a little difficult at first but I'm also not very good at these types of games so I kept dying too quickly to figure things out aha. The inverted up and down really threw me. The music was good but like previous comments have said, the other sfx drown out the music. I like the graphic style though and really went with the music to give a proper nice arcade vibe. Awesome job! Well done!
Interesting concept, I think 2 things would make the game a lot more playable for me personally, and those would be to have the option for inverted vertical controls, and also a cross hair or some form of indicator as to where the ship will shoot as it was a bit tricky to line up notes on the edges of the playing field due to the way the perspective changes further from the camera. Overall though, I think it is a really unique idea and has the potential with a few small tweaks to be a really fun game. Great job!
Cool idea! I think it would be great to have an option to invert vertical controls
Cool idea! I would have also liked the sound effects to be a bit quieter, and to have a crosshair or laser sight, but I had fun playing :)
