Nice job! Really love the graphics (good graphics are typical of an art centric engine like blender)
really well done graphics and music, very moody :)
euh, the game never goes past the cut scene thingy for me :P
lol! this is simple, but I loved the artyness.
hey, I liked your game. It was short, but funny. Sound would have been nice, but I cant really say much as my game diddnt have music either. I would have liked more content though. For what it is, its well done, but I think that it might have been better suited as a fast paced mini game inside another game.
I enjoyed it, but I would have liked a little more dynamic movement using the GM:S physics engine. The audio was also quite good. I wish that the gameplay was a little more varied though, because it did get a little boring after you played through a few levels. overall, solid entry.
Good idea, but the execution wasnt perfect. The game is almost impossible, I couldnt even get past the first level (supposing there were levels)
with some work though, this could be turned into a great game. I also really loved the minnimalistic graphical style :D
I enjoyed it, but I would have liked a little more time, and to compensate harder levels. Nice random levels by the way :D
Great game. i really enjoyed it, but it needs a restart button :P
nice job. I really liked the graphics. However the game was a bit repetitive.
Really solid entry :)
Thanks everyone for the feedback. How do you think that the controls could have been tweaked? I might make a post jam version.
Oh, and all of you mac users out there, im working on a port to that platform :)
h.attilla: I highly recommend the GMech API. I literally implemented it in like 30 mins :)
Plus, it lets me see how many plays I have. (currently I have like 20)
note that it only works for GM or GM:S :P
lol, I used sfxr for the sounds, just to have sound in the game XD
I know its kinda annoying :P
thanks for the feedback :D
@suve: I totally agree with everything you said, mayhem is fun. I also agree that I should have decreased the health, perhaps down to 200 instead of 500? I found a way to decrease the loading time by a few seconds, so if I make a post compo version expect to see all of these things, as well as tweaked controls. btw, nice job at getting the second highest score (the first one is from me testing, so I might delete that :P)
Edocentrique: Thanks, glad you liked it :D
Amoaeba Junior: Yes, the world gen sometimes does this. I had no prior experience with prodecural generation, so I basically winged it. Thanks for the great feedback ;)
Tyren: yeah, I was going to make something so that made sure that the blocks at the floor and walls didnt despawn, but I just didnt have time :P
but im glad you liked :D
Dylan McCall: Thanks for the feedback, and glad you liked it. I currently have a post compo version in the works, with reworked controls and a optimized world gen!
Amos Wenger: Yes, the controls are a bit off :P
glad you still liked it :)
FrederickK: great, glad you liked it. really happy that people are giving me such constructive critisum too! I will work more on getting the controls just right next time (and likely less time sleeping XD)
Jeremias:
- I had some time at the end, and thought that it would be a good idea to add :D
- I know :P. I did this to myself last time I entered in a jam too :I
- good to know :). This has happened to a few people
- agreed. particularly in small passages
Patrick64: Glad you liked it. I think I know the source of the bug, and it should be fairly easy to fix it.
REALLY good entry. Extra points for actually making a decent game in 3d :)
good game. extra points for making a decent game in 3d.
Nice job! I liked the graphics :)
Looks like a good idea, but I couldnt seem to kill a single guard :P
Nice job. I liked it alot.
I found it interesting, but I felt kind of wrong being a canible (lol)
Solid entry, I really liked the graphics.
Nice graphics that had great potential, but it was a bit hard to get used to the broken platform engine :P
nice job :)
I got 100%
very nice art, and fun too.
hey, I will try out your game when I get my linux box back from a friend :P.
lol! I liked the game. There wasnt much in the way of gameplay, but I tend to like those games where you upgrade specs to get to the end. Good job :)
lol! I laughed. Its not much of a game, but its funny XD
<3 totally legit error messages!
really great entry, easily the best one ive played so far :D
i was thinking of making a game like this, but this was way different than I would have done it. I think that I would have created a system where you earn money, to buy ships, but this system seems way faster paced. Awesome job :)
A solid entry! Enjoyed the graphics a lot. However, I would look into seeing if your game engine has surfaces, as that would improve the look of the light. The music was pretty good too. Keep up the good work!
Deige101: Thanks!
Dark Acre Jack: haha, that was the plan. Glad you enjoyed it.
Imagnity: Uhhhhhhh...... did you try anything other than the space bar? z to shoot is pretty standard.
TedTonToon: Yeah, I had very little time to balance it unfortunately. I had other plans for the weekend, so I basically only had time to shove whatever content I could, and get it working. Its really more of a prototype, as I wanted to try to make a shmup that was powerup driven (unlike the last one I made). I'm not sure why the game kept throwing the side missiles at you, it really shouldn't do that. I had some problems like that though, in testing. Not really sure whats causing it, as the enemies code is purely random.
I had originally planned to make a procedural system for enemy spawning, but sadly didn't have time :(. Thanks for the feedback!
cool graphical, but the sword is broken. You might want to make the players colision mask not encompass the sword.
Haha! That was funny! Really enjoyed it, even if its more of a joke. My one critique is: Hey! whats wrong with arcade fire!
lol.
cool game. Loved the audio!
SHIT! This is completely the wrong file. Appologies, I'll fix the link.
solluxx: You should be able to just double click on it... You will need to have python installed.
@LD_LAN_Party: Thanks.
Visually, its very interesting, and I love the mood.
However, it could be hard to find the path if you ever lost it, and it sometimes felt like that game was killing me for no reason :/
Not entirely sure how the theme fit in...
Overall a very good entry
Personally, I am a huge fan of the art. Overall, it feels very polished.
From a tech point of view, its pretty cool.
However, the gameplay get very repetative very quickly, and its not all that interesting.
Still, kudos.
When I tried it, it had no audio. This may or may not be intentional, so I didn't mark it.
