It's a bit slow and confusing which is bad for a jam game but once you get used to it it's actually pretty fun. I like the blend of collecting resources and building defences. It would be cool if the player had some other ability to help hold off stray enemies but still really fun and well executed game.
The aesthetic is super nice I love the audio and visuals but it seems like there was an endless stream of missiles keeping the sun at full size and none of my actions had any consequence (other than opening and closing the doors)
I like the backgrounds and the day-night cycle. The gameplay reminds me of kingdom two crowns. I couldn't figure out how to get any crops other than wheat but other than that it's a very well made game.
Innovative concept I do love the split screen gameplay. It would probably be really fun with 2 people. The whole experience was very polished from start to finish.
I like the concept. I think it would be a lot better if the camera kept the player centred in the screen. Being at the edge makes it hard to see what's coming up. Other than that it gives off a really strong feeling of slowly losing control of the crowd of zombies. Great work.
The assets in the game look great but there's not very many of them and the gameplay is extremely simple. I think having to outrun the enemies without a way to fight back is a cool concept however it needs to be supplemented with an interesting movement mechanic either a grappling hook or a dodge roll or some kind of jump. With something like that this could be a really fun arcade style game.
The visual design is impeccable I would easily play a full game like this if getting the little worm to go where I wanted him to wasn't so annoying. Gave up on the second level after getting stuck on the plank for 5 minutes. I would love to see what else the game has to offer.
It's a very simple tower defence game but still impressive that you made this during the jam period. All the fundamentals are there I just wish that there was more information in game about what everything does. For example, how much cash does the money worm generate, and how often? Cool game especially cause it has worms in it, I love worm games :)
PS I'm not so sure that dying is inevitable image_2022-04-05_224735634.png
(Spoiler warning)
@glove thank you so much for the praise, I'm so glad you liked it. I think that is a rare bug on the browser build, one of my friends said they found the same thing. It just says "Thank you for playing" and has the number 1 793 457 366 which ticks down like the clock in game.
Wow! This is one of the best LD games i've played so far I was really expecting to pick up twigs on a small map until there were none left but I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was progress and an ending. A super polished and complete experience great work.
I think I got carpal tunnel from mashing the spacebar
I made everyone immortal surely nothing can go wrong with that
I like the style. The intro cutscene especially reminds me of old point and click adventure games. The ending battle royale is cool. The gameplay is a bit basic despite having quite a few mechanics the lack of enemy variety makes it a bit repetitive. Still what's there is impressive for the time constraint good job!
Really great mechanics here I could see this being a $5 game on steam if there was just a little more content, super polished and one of my favourite games from the jam so far.
I love the pixel art, the shooting feels alright, if there was a little feedback on hitting enemies like flashing white or knockback it would take it to the next level. I don't understand what buying more time does? It seems like it just loses you time. Overall I really like it.
I love the aesthetic from the music to the art. I really wanted to finish the game but every time after I sacrificed the derelict stickman to the Greebo I would lose my ability to jump or fall. At first I thought it was a bug but after restarting a few times it happened every time. I think I got every character sacrificed except for the hidden koala. At the end I was unable to progress down the Greebo's throat due to the controls bug. Either way I enjoyed the many hours I spent trying to finesse my way to that koala bear and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Great jam entry.
The core gameplay is fun and the abilities are all pretty cool. All of the abilities were fun to use but the bike and the dog seem like the most useful. It would be cool to see some meta progression between rounds like keeping your previous cards and adding onto them.
Very cute game and unique concept the timer at the top compelled me to keep going so I was a bit disappointed when there was no win screen at the end. Still a pretty fun little game!
The game is solid but typically in a typing game it's better to show the whole word at once that to reveal parts of it as you type. Cool interpretation of the theme.
Great mechanics. The main gameplay is fun. I do wish there was some kind of meta progression where your plane could get stronger but I understand not being able to do that within the time constraints. The art design is nice and the sound design compliments it well.
I love the fake desktop at the beginning. The game is concise and polished, it's pretty addicting and with a little bit more substance could easily evolve into a full game. Great work!
P.S. I got the genocide high score image_2022-04-06_214727757.png
It's a fun game a good concept it could use a little more polish like having the enemies react in some way to taking damage, and allowing the player to hold down the spacebar to shoot but for a game jam entry this is pretty good work!
I like the collection of different styles of platforming mechanics each one was done pretty well and the game moves on before any of them get stale. Solid jam entry.
It's a very cohesive product, everything fits together and the game is very charming. Surprisingly engaging for such a silly concept. Also a very creative take on the theme. Very well done.
I liked the sound design and the graphics but I could not figure out what to do at all.
Fun game I sold everything for $1 and all the customers loved me. One of the best tycoon games of Ludum Dare 50
