| Apr 5 07:01:35 | Ludum Dare | ♥ 1 | I felt quite disoriented throughout the game which I think is part of the point. The music makes me feel uneasy and I think that's also the point. I really didn't understand what the objective of the game was, it was very unclear. Like everyone else said, some tutorial is needed. | |
| Apr 5 07:06:51 | 5m 16s | ...Rise of the Toasty Tomato | ♥ 1 | I love slay the spire so it was cool to see a deck builder in the jam. The UI was kind of confusing when it came to selecting options because I was expecting the option selected to be in white and not black. I think it would've handled better with a mouse, but otherwise a cool submission! |
| Apr 5 07:11:05 | 4m 14s | 1868 | ♥ 0 | Give me some south-park esque vibes to the graphics. The court was kind of disorienting and I found that spamming WASD at the same time when the were at the judge was a very effective strategy since I couldn't process them that quickly. The sounds were a bit jarring, but I get the limitation since it was a jam |
| Apr 5 07:12:38 | 1m 33s | Lords of the Deck: 50 cards to WAR | ♥ 1 | Interesting to see a card game submission. Pretty clever stuff and I like that anybody with a deck of cards can play |
| Apr 5 07:17:49 | 5m 11s | Elite Disaster Response Team - Volcano! | ♥ 1 | That was really enjoyable. I wish I had the ability to make more money so I could skip more and place better pipes -- it was frustrating to have that control taken away. But it was a lot of fun! |
| Apr 5 07:23:08 | 5m 19s | Aures-1 | ♥ 1 | Overall well done! The intro was a bit too long imho, but it set the mood well and it very clearly explained the different icons and the goal. I wasn't expecting the astronaut to just move around like that which was kinda funny haha. Fun stuff |
| Apr 5 07:30:24 | 7m 16s | One Sided Pong | ♥ 0 | Can't play on itch |
| Apr 5 07:35:43 | 5m 19s | Stacktics | ♥ 1 | Very solid game. Very responsive character movement, well indicated trajectory of the blocks. Reminds me of a physics-based tetris I used to play on Kongregate back in the day. Really well done |
| Apr 5 07:39:08 | 3m 25s | Tiny Tanks | ♥ 0 | Tried running it on my version of Godot and it said the version wasn't specified, so I couldn't test it. |
| Apr 5 07:39:53 | 45s | C.O.R.E | ♥ 1 | Not available on itch still |
| Apr 5 07:42:01 | 2m 08s | Gaia | ♥ 1 | Interesting concept. Charming graphics. I found that I could do nothing and the game seemed to be just doing fine haha |
| Apr 5 07:47:51 | 5m 50s | PsyDog | ♥ 2 | Says a password is required to play the game |
| Apr 5 07:51:18 | 3m 27s | TriangleEffect | ♥ 3 | Honestly really well done, really cool to see something hashed out from someone young. Pretty fun to schmove around and dodge the evil squares and I really like the effects on the shapes and the background music is very effective. |
| Apr 5 18:46:05 | 10h 54m | Last Day of Serenity Orbital Station | ♥ 2 | Cool that you were able to submit this to 3 jams simultaneously. I think the depth is not clearly communicated and I wasn't really sure what I was about to hit if anything. The graphics do look quite good though and I enjoyed the music. Overall impressive stuff |
| Apr 5 18:57:23 | 11m 18s | Dont Sleep | ♥ 1 | Graphics are really nice! Had no problem running it on my Windows machine. There's something very satisfying about just going straight to bed out of defiance haha. Well done |
| Apr 5 19:08:07 | 10m 44s | Protect The Light | ♥ 1 | That was genuinely really fun. I'm impressed with how much you were able to get done within the jam period. I do think you could've really easily stuck to the theme if the candle DID deplete and you had flaming arrows that could reignited it. That way you'd have to balance out shooting enemies and shooting your candle to keep it alive. But genuinely well done, my favorite game I've played so far from LD50. |
| Apr 5 19:18:05 | 9m 58s | Slime Zone | ♥ 2 | Solid game, quite polished. Music is great, did you not make it yourself? I can't vote on the audio, would've given it high marks. |
| Apr 5 19:33:09 | 15m 04s | It's like they knew... | ♥ 1 | Glad to see a fellow Godot user :). Getting pretty bad performance on my machine (I do have a GTX 660 to be fair). Also in the UI, the audio is panned to the left, did you use an AudioStreamPlayer3D or 2D there on accident? By default I believe 2D is panned to the left, at least it was whenever I used it. Sounds fine in the actual game though! |
| Apr 5 19:36:37 | 3m 28s | The Last Knight | ♥ 1 | Good stuff! I like the aesthetic and I think the music fits well. I do think that that the crossbow bolts fire too slowly, it's painful to aim with them. The most effective strategy for me was to stand directly in front of a projectile to shoot it. Also sometimes the ships would drop health packs that would permanently stay off stage, so I couldn't get them. Would've been nice if they had some gravity that was always being pulled in to the queen. Overall a well done project |
| Apr 5 19:40:22 | 3m 45s | Corridors | ♥ 1 | Nice to see other Godot games :) I liked the ambiance a lot, but I wish there were more enemies at the start and that there was less downtime. Also the game crashed once the monster got me. Overall I like the PS1-esque aesthetic, but I was hoping to just mow down hordes of enemies |
| Apr 5 19:46:36 | 6m 14s | The world is breaking | ♥ 0 | I didn't really understand the building concept. I was able to harvest materials no problem, but failed to ever build anything after a few tries. Not really sure what I did wrong there as I read the instructions. I think this has potential and I appreciate the sensitivity slider in the main menu since the default is insane |
| Apr 5 20:16:39 | 30m 03s | The Waiting Game | ♥ 1 | Would've been cool to see some idle clicker-like elements added to this to make it feel more game-like. I think the music is quite effective and the intro was very cheeky which I appreciated, but I do think there's something missing. |
| Apr 5 20:22:29 | 5m 50s | Secret Mission: Datastorm | ♥ 2 | There's a sound in the game that might be the motor sound, but it sounds like a crashing computer haha. I think having some doodads on the side of the track like trees would've made it a lot easier to gauge my speed because it wasn't clear if I was moving some times. Overall I like the aesthetic. Also I wasn't sure if it was intentional, but I think it's hilarious that the acronym for the game is smd |
| Apr 5 20:32:30 | 10m 01s | Kessler | ♥ 1 | Interesting stuff. I like the concept, especially since in reality we're generating a ton of space debris and it's going to be harder to launch things into space and have satellites survive. |
| Apr 5 20:36:01 | 3m 31s | X-1 - A Game About a Robot Shutting Down | ♥ 1 | Genuinely very fun. I don't usually like platformers, but this one feels really tight. I love the concept and I think it fits the theme very well. I like that you have to be conservative with the jetpack, reminds me of Worms. Well done! |
| Apr 5 20:41:21 | 5m 20s | Ant CRISIS | ♥ 1 | Interesting environment. I wasn't able to interact with objects or the environment for some reason, even after reading the instructions. Also at some point the ant just started moving by itself and I couldn't control it haha |
| Apr 5 21:11:07 | 29m 46s | Too Cute for Space Fights | ♥ 3 | That was a lot of fun! The music is hilarious given the destruction. I loved maneuvering on the welding cart so much that I used it rather than teleporting haha. Also I noticed that if you weld something then go back and re-weld it, it gets stuck in the permanent welding animation state |
| Apr 5 21:57:20 | 46m 13s | Can't Escape Your Past | ♥ 1 | Overall a pretty fun game! I do think the wall jump timings are a bit too unforgiving, but I really like the mechanics and enjoyed playing this |
| Apr 5 22:01:06 | 3m 46s | Battery Low | ♥ 5 | "Science... Energy" Lots of fun! Great graphics, great gameplay, just an overall really polished jam submission. |
| Apr 5 22:05:52 | 4m 46s | Chess? | ♥ 2 | Interesting remix of chess with some cool mechanics. I think some of the UI was a bit confusing, but I liked the idea of having to plan ahead to make sure my pieces weren't self-captured. |
| Apr 6 02:06:01 | 4h 00m | A Drag on Chaos | ♥ 0 | Really fun to play around with the the double pendulum! Sorry you ran into issues with Unity's physics, but I think the end result is pretty neat. |
| Apr 6 02:17:19 | 11m 18s | Save the Planet!! | ♥ 1 | Nice little game! I love quick clickers so this was quite fun |
| Apr 6 02:33:48 | 16m 29s | SILAS | ♥ 2 | Very solid game, had a lot of fun. Even did a little cheating to get to the end since I sucked at the last level and wanted to see the final dialogue ;) cheatin.gif |
| Apr 6 02:39:22 | 5m 34s | Ceaseless Rain | ♥ 1 | Very cool game. Really like the aesthetic. The art and music go really well together. Enjoyed the experience :) |
| Apr 6 02:46:51 | 7m 29s | Rocket Lawnchair | ♥ 1 | Pretty goofy game and I really have no idea how to control it efficiently hahaha, but it was fun |
| Apr 11 08:26:34 | 125h 39m | The Great Flood | ♥ 1 | Pretty solid game. I like the graphics and I think it fits the theme well. One thing I'd say is that I wish there was a more clear indicator of height since it was sometimes confusing. Overall though a solid entry |
| Apr 14 06:18:37 | 69h 52m | Hurrikeyn | ♥ 0 | Interesting take on the Worlde-like. I do think it's more of a traditional typing game and that the Wordle-like elements could've been a bit more prominent, but overall it was a fun and smooth experience. |
| Apr 15 22:34:57 | 40h 16m | Scarecrow Swarm | ♥ 1 | Getting some serious performance issues when there are multiple enemies on the screen |
| Apr 16 07:22:05 | 8h 47m | 4&1/2 Lives | ♥ 1 | Really well done. I was a big fan of Doodle Jump as a kid, so obviously this was my cup of tea ;) For a first game and first time artist/producer, you should be very proud. This is better than the average game I've played from this year's compo and that includes games from people who've competed dozens of times. |
| Apr 18 23:49:39 | 64h 27m | Garbage Collector Simulator | ♥ 1 | This is amazing hahaha. I really appreciate the concept. I do think gameplay wise it's a little too simplistic. Since you can't free anything referenced by the stack you can safely just star GC and spam away. It would make it feel more like a game if there was a penalty to freeing something you shouldn't be able to. Also I think this would benefit from being more real-time. It seems too free to be able to start/stop GC |
| Apr 20 00:27:05 | 24h 37m | Perseverance | ♥ 1 | The font is absolutely terrible. I get the aesthetic you were going for, but it's unpleasant to read. Music and sfx are solid. |
| Apr 20 18:42:16 | 18h 15m | Fox Driver | ♥ 1 | Pretty fun. Had no problems with the web version. I thought it was pretty funny that you needed to run into the edges/corners to make very tight turns. Would've been more engaging if I could've drifted around the corner, but the game played well without it, so what's the point. I liked the different climates you'd cross and how they'd affect heat. Would've been nice if there were some actual tunes that played when the radio turned on, but I understand not including it, especially if you don't already have a convenient audio engine ready to go. |
| Apr 20 19:41:59 | 59m 43s | Minecraftle | ♥ 1 | I don't know if using the Minecraft assets is in the spirit of the compo. You're supposed to create everything in the 48 hours, and we all know a team of artists created the MC assets over years. |
| Apr 20 19:51:17 | 9m 18s | Stay Safe | ♥ 0 | Wish there was some scoring system, at least to see how long I've survived. The enemies are all a little too easy to escape from and the sticks are always readily available. Never felt like I was in any danger and didn't feel like playing more than a few minutes since there was no score to beat or anything. |
