| Aug 13 23:01:49 | ShortServe | ♥ 0 | The music is so chill, I kinda want to leave this open in the background. The concept is quite simple but it's quickly challenging so I had fun playing. | |
| Aug 14 06:47:45 | 7h 45m | Slay The Slimes | ♥ 0 | Neat game, I'd place the camera a little lower so we see where we're jumping. Music and graphics are nice too. |
| Aug 14 06:59:50 | 12m 05s | Cat Cat Attack! | ♥ 2 | Cute game, I really like the graphics. Had fun overall. |
| Aug 14 07:02:17 | 2m 27s | Slimeblast! | ♥ 2 | Is that this Splatoon game everyone is talking about? |
| Aug 14 07:09:37 | 7m 20s | Bus Mayhem | ♥ 1 | Why is the backdoor open? It's a really dangerous way of riding a bus. |
| Aug 14 07:17:47 | 8m 10s | Orenji-Shima - Orange Jelly Puzzle Island | ♥ 1 | That's a really solid game! Graphics, audio and gameplay mechanics are so nice ❤️ I also really like how you design your levels to introduce new mechanics step by step. Nicely done! |
| Aug 14 07:28:04 | 10m 17s | Cryptographer | ♥ 1 | Cool idea, some levels were quite hard 😝 |
| Aug 14 07:34:47 | 6m 43s | Space Escape | ♥ 1 | Classic concept, but managing resources while playing a match 3 game is a nice idea. Would not need much to have a much better feeling: some more feedback when the player interacts with the game and maybe bring their attention to the ships at the top of the screen from time to time. 👌 |
| Aug 14 07:55:34 | 20m 47s | Bon☆Guys | ♥ 2 | Nice ambiance you got there, I would have loved to have some musics and sounds to top it off. @saoi-games I struggled on that too, you should click the dialog box at the bottom. |
| Aug 14 08:05:46 | 10m 12s | Don't Miss! | ♥ 1 | Five stars for the shooting sounds, worth it. |
| Aug 14 08:13:35 | 7m 49s | LETTERBOX | ♥ 1 | Wow that's a nice one. Graphics, music and sounds are nice, controls are neat. Well done! |
| Aug 14 08:32:19 | 18m 44s | Backspace Bouken | ♥ 1 | Hey, that's a nice game you have here! Loved it. |
| Aug 14 08:42:20 | 10m 01s | Crystalmancer | ♥ 1 | I'm amazed by how polished this game is. It's really hard tho. Nicely done. |
| Aug 14 08:49:43 | 7m 23s | Get Comfortable | ♥ 1 | I love it! That is a really great jam game ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ |
| Aug 14 08:55:06 | 5m 23s | ground_0 | ♥ 2 | The graphics, the music, the rhythm, there's everything to put you *in the zone* while playing this endlessly. Well done that's a great entry. |
| Aug 14 09:41:26 | 46m 20s | HANA | ♥ 2 | Nice game, I did not understand what I was doing at first but after that I had real fun playing this. |
| Aug 14 10:19:47 | 38m 21s | California Jane | ♥ 1 | Awesome graphics and music! I found the controls a bit junky when I kept the direction pressed but that's really the only criticism I can make. I really had a great time playing. Congratulations! |
| Aug 14 10:26:59 | 7m 12s | There is Never Enough Space!!! | ♥ 1 | Aaaaah the mood in this game is so right, well done. Had a great time playing this! |
| Aug 14 10:48:39 | 21m 40s | What Is On The Walls Inside | ♥ 1 | I really liked your game. Everything, from the graphics to the audio etc., is here to set the mood and it works imho. Felt really personal. I might try it a couple of more times to get other endings. |
| Aug 14 13:53:49 | 3h 05m | Exhaustlands | ♥ 2 | Nice game! Although I did not really see the relation to the theme. The atmosphere you achieved to set up here with few things is really impressing me. A little bug: when you click on the radio to cycle between stations, the click still drives the car around 😛 |
| Aug 14 15:20:26 | 1h 26m | MULT | ♥ 1 | Fun game and the music is quite nice. I'd like to be able to restart by hitting space instead of reaching for my mouse and clicking the button 😛 |
| Aug 14 15:59:55 | 39m 29s | Reverse | ♥ 1 | A solid game, loved it! |
| Aug 14 16:23:42 | 23m 47s | Reaper Boy LD42 (Remix) Edition | ♥ 0 | I have the exact same issue as @titos2k on my Win 10. |
| Aug 14 16:44:52 | 21m 10s | Dr.Helper | ♥ 2 | This was unexpected. Great game overall, very polished. The meme humor is at the same time very cringy and very funny. And I definitely didn't expect the game to transform into a manic shooter out of the blue. The end is a bit underwhelming, kind of like the computer version of "it was all a dream" but the experience was worth it nonetheless! Good job! |
| Aug 14 17:04:07 | 19m 15s | ToFSDfSftPDRRoDwL | ♥ 1 | The controls are pretty rough and the mechanics are obscure to say the least. I've got to admit that I don't get the humor at all, but that might just be me. Graphics are... well it's programmer art but I can feel that an effort was made. I don't understand what dropping people on the monster is supposed to do? Some visual and audio feedback would be great to help make the game more understandble, the private jokes tend to create too much noise unfortunately. |
| Aug 14 17:42:11 | 38m 04s | CRAMMM: Totally Accurate Studying Simulator | ♥ 1 | What a nice entry! Everything feels polished, the idea is simple and great at the same time. You could probably drop this it the iOS and Android app stores and I bet it'll sell. |
| Aug 14 19:48:41 | 2h 06m | no-kill | ♥ 1 | Please, make the walk a little faster. Aside from that it's a cool game, I really really like the graphic style. |
| Aug 14 20:07:13 | 18m 32s | Volant Islands | ♥ 3 | Cool game, I would have played more levels 😄 |
| Aug 15 07:16:47 | 11h 09m | Very Original Puzzle Game | ♥ 1 | Hey there fellow Godot developer! I really liked your game and the graphics are slick. Obviously it's not a revolutionary idea but it is well executed. Would have liked a background music and some more levels though. |
| Aug 15 07:27:09 | 10m 22s | Cosmic Escape 1999 | ♥ 2 | That's a nice game, graphics and audio are nice (audio is a bit trippy though 😁). |
| Aug 15 07:33:48 | 6m 39s | Overgrown | ♥ 1 | This game is pretty 🤗 |
| Aug 15 08:38:23 | 1h 04m | Camp Snuggle | ♥ 1 | Great game overall! I'm not sure I have anything really constructive to say so I'm just going to congratulate you for your game. Cheers ❤️ |
| Aug 15 10:42:55 | 2h 04m | Alive | ♥ 0 | First things first: everything is really tiny on the screen, it would really be more enjoyable if everything was a bit bigger. It's a shame because your graphics are neat! The pace is a little slow indeed but not that much. Overall it's a nice entry and I had fun playing it. It would not take much to enhance it to the next level. Cheers! |
| Aug 15 14:42:06 | 3h 59m | Space Runner 2048 | ♥ 2 | Yaaaay, that's a nice game! I was really happy when the rhythm and the music changed, that was a good idea. Everything feels nice and polished. Next step is to make a more ambitious game I guess, because you nailed this one. |
| Aug 15 15:16:10 | 34m 04s | Pats Pack | ♥ 1 | Oh boy this game is going to be addictive. As other people said it, the controls are a bit awkward but in the end I got used to it. It really needs some high bpm music to get the player *in the zone*. Overall it's a good entry. |
| Aug 15 15:32:10 | 16m 00s | CRUMBLE | ♥ 1 | I LOVED your game, it's so nice. It feels like I could play hours. I don't have much to say, you nailed what I like 👌 |
| Aug 15 16:40:37 | 1h 08m | modbot | ♥ 0 | Nice game with cute graphics and on point music. What can you ask in addition of that? As said before, the helicopter controls are a bit off but aside from that it is top notch. |
| Aug 15 17:05:01 | 24m 24s | Get Comfortable | ♥ 1 | That's a fun idea! Controls are a bit janky but that's part of the fun. It's quite hard to make it through the night though. Nice entry overall. Just so you know, I added your game on my [list](https://gist.github.com/paulloz/2966cb9c674146d0a1ba44899ac6ab4f) of games made with Godot for this LD. Also, I had the same issue with particles and Chrome, I'll check if it's already known and report the issue if not. |
| Aug 15 17:22:49 | 17m 48s | Dear Leader's Diet Plan | ♥ 1 | I don't really understand what I just played. Well done, I guess. |
| Aug 15 18:09:46 | 46m 57s | Smoke: it's ok to feel | ♥ 2 | Hey, paulloz here. Obviously graphics are awesome, the music is really nice too. I think my life changed when I started speaking to that fish. The dialogue mechanic is neat too but maybe underexploited. Overall I had a real nice moment playing this random thing and that's what's important. Also, that ending sequence is top notch. |
| Aug 15 18:49:34 | 39m 48s | Red Square | ♥ 1 | Graphics and sounds are cool. The concept is simple but everything is well done. This makes for a pretty good entry! |
| Aug 15 20:13:41 | 1h 24m | Flesh Packer | ♥ 1 | It's a cool entry. I really like your art style. Makes me realize there isn't much point and click games during LDJams… That's a shame. |
| Aug 16 09:54:12 | 13h 40m | The Sand Will Bury Me | ♥ 2 | First of all, I liked your graphics and sound a lot. You made a cool atmosphere right there. Now there's two options: either I did not understand something (which is reaaaaaaally possible) or I have a design issue with your game. For me, there's no way to predict what walls will *move* when I press Space (that's the part I might be wrong about, please correct me if that's the case). So you pretty much have to try out hitting space one or two times in each level to see what the *movement pattern* is, and thus failing a first time before being able to think about how to do said level. And that's a pretty weird design for a puzzle game if you ask me. But that's not something really hard to fix. Aside from that I still had fun playing your game, it's a solid entry! |
| Aug 16 11:08:29 | 1h 14m | ChromeSmasher | ♥ 0 | Well, there's not much to say as it's a really simple game. You could easily iterate on this one to add different kind of chromes coming in, power ups etc. Also the game lacks of impact / feedback on player actions: sounds, shakes, flashes etc. Two small issues: sometime when you destroy a chrome the *explosion* animation does not play entirely (or at all) and the music is not looping properly, we ear the looping point. Aside form that it's a cool little game. |
| Aug 16 11:22:25 | 13m 56s | Rise and Shine | ♥ 0 | First and foremost: I could not play more than two minutes to your game because this camera rotation made me really dizzy. Please don't do that. The idea is great and the art (both graphics and music) are neat. However the game may feel a little too luck based. I did not have a great feel of satisfaction when achieving things nor a great feel of failure when I missed. Also you really need to introduce your game mechanics to the player because here I was dropped out of nowhere in this game with a gauge in the upper right corner, a *“tolerance”* number in the middle and no clue what those were about. I feel that it would not take much to enhance the game experience though. It mostly is fine tuning and/or rethinking small parts of the games to make it more enjoyable. Still a nice entry 🙂 |
| Aug 16 11:36:19 | 13m 54s | ClapBang | ♥ 1 | It took me some time to understand who I was, maybe add a small animation at the beginning attracting the player's attention on its mech. Controls are awkward but I totally see where you were going (and playing on my laptop trackpad is not helping me). IMHO it is a nice take on mech games which are usually quite harsh to wrap your head around. Graphics and sounds are nice too. Had some fun playing even if it felt a little inhospitable at first 😅 |
| Aug 16 11:45:45 | 9m 26s | ENCRYPT3D | ♥ 0 | Okay so that's a nice idea, I like this kind of multitasking thingy. However in the end you're only playing the ball game and just clicking whichever file seems the closest to your mouse. Maybe adding some variety in the files or some other mechanic in that part of the game would make the player strategize which file should be removed next. I think it's a good base to iterate from and make a better game out of it. Right now it feels like a good idea which did not achieve its potential. Nice first LD entry though, kudos! |
| Aug 16 13:26:29 | 1h 40m | Download Defender | ♥ 1 | Pretty simple game but overall well done. The SFX are a bit aggressive. |
| Aug 16 16:39:54 | 3h 13m | Demonic Digestion | ♥ 2 | Your game is gorgeous, that's for sure. The music is nice too. Overall I think there's a nice atmosphere in your game. It's not a revolutionary idea but it's undeniable that it's well executed and a really neat jam entry. Like a lot of other games, I don't understand that your game menu cannot be navigated with the keyboard when the whole game controls with it. On another note, I'm a little concerned with this changelog of yours. Sure, we'd all like to integrate all the feedback we have in the comments in our games but that's really not how the jam is supposed to work. If those were just game breaking bug fixes it'd be OK but here it seems like you're refining and polishing the game after the deadline, which feels… wrong. |
| Aug 16 17:49:36 | 1h 09m | Refugee Rescue | ♥ 1 | First thing I have to say: you nailed the boat engine SFX 👌 Seeing the little cover picture I launched it with an apprehension: “oh no, a game about refugees showing only white people” but I was relieved to see I was wrong. In the end I liked your game, managing resources is always fun and I don't think the boat was *that* slow. Well done. You should probably change the colors on the minimap, it got me confused at first. And add some music or some ambiance sea noises. Maybe the next step would be to handle some kind of weather, at sea it is not always that calm. I'd like to see where this is going if you're going to continue working on this for a bit after the jam. P.S.: oh, and the shape of the little boat schematics in the lower right corner got me… *confused* at first. |
| Aug 16 20:02:15 | 2h 12m | Zachary's Memory | ♥ 1 | Well… How can I begin? That is a wonderful game, I think that's undeniable. Your writing is top notch, the graphics and sound fit perfectly with it, and on top of that you even went through the trouble of making both a French AND an English version during the jam. I'm now stuck in this weird melancholic feeling between being very sad and somewhat happy. A kind of feeling only good (great?) storytellers are able to instil. Put in a nuthsell: your game is probably the best one I played during this Ludum Dare. It is both a good and a bad thing. The good is obvious, the bad is because I kind of feel like this about you right now: Sans titre.png 5/5 |
| Aug 16 20:36:59 | 34m 44s | PistonBreak | ♥ 0 | Why oh why would you make all the menus navigable with only the mouse when the rest of the game is played on the keyboard? This is infuriating! With that fact out of the way, this is a pretty good game! A bit short, obviously I would have liked more levels. Also everything is really tiny on screen, you could probably just scale it to 200% and imho it'll be more enjoyable. You have a neat basic game, I can only encourage you to continue with it and make a lot more levels! |
| Aug 17 11:02:47 | 14h 25m | Game Jam Jam Game | ♥ 1 | It's a nice entry! It really needs a background music though, even just a free track matching a bit the art style / mood would be a great improvement. Speaking of the art style, it is really neat. Haven't found how to make Lady Marmalade yet. |
| Aug 17 11:13:36 | 10m 49s | Borderblast | ♥ 1 | Once again, I don't understand why your menus aren't navigable with the keyboard when the rest of your game plays with it. I think the physics are a bit too floaty for it to be a really enjoyable platformer. Aside from that it is a pretty good entry, graphics are neat, it only lacks more levels. Kudos. |
| Aug 17 11:23:06 | 9m 30s | Mr.Tobro | ♥ 1 | Nice game, graphics are lovely. As others mentioned, the space is quickly not an issue but nonetheless it is fun to play. |
| Aug 17 13:07:43 | 1h 44m | Vupu | ♥ 1 | The game is gorgeous and sounds really good. Too bad there's no death animation, it's kinda frustrating. Otherwise controls are neat, you probably still can tweak them so they feel great though. |
| Aug 17 13:19:28 | 11m 45s | NOOR | ♥ 2 | Is it called Noor because it's a game about light? Anyway, the graphics and audio are great, you've got a good atmosphere going on here. My only issue is that everything is unforgiving, you kinda touch one pixel outside of a light and it is instant damage and, because in addition there's no checkpoint, it's really harsh. I'd love to play this more if you're going to work on it after the jam. |
| Aug 18 10:27:02 | 21h 07m | Deck Adventure | ♥ 1 | Nice game! The game looks and sounds nice (maybe some SFXs are a bit harsh though) and the card mechanics are well thought enough that it's easy to understand and still deep enough do be amusing. Well done folks! |
| Aug 19 11:42:45 | 25h 15m | Feedrun | ♥ 1 | The music is neat but a little repetitive for me 🙃 It would have been great to find another solution to explain the controls than a big **?** menu, but for a jam game that's not a big issue. At first I thought the game was broken because the first screen I saw has half a button displayed in the upper left corner. Feedrun_2018-08-19_13-39-47.png Otherwise that's a fun game, the graphics are simple but work and who won't want to free this good boy? Kudos. |
| Aug 19 12:07:52 | 25m 07s | Potion Seller | ♥ 2 | Yaaay! You did a pretty good job making a great game! The voxel style, although classic, is neat and the sounds are good. Controls are simple and effective. I can easily picture myself playing at this game when I have a five or ten minute break. I don't know if that's intended but sometimes gold coins get stuck behind my little ingredient bowls and I can't collect them. It made me rage quite a few times 😡 I'm not sure I have really more to say aside that it's probably in my top 5 games from this Ludum Dare. Kudos. |
| Aug 20 19:53:46 | 31h 45m | Backpack Quest | ♥ 1 | I had a nice moment playing your game. Unfortunately there's not much to say about it... It is well written and restarting over and over again to try and get a higher score / read other possibilities gives a nice value to the game. Maybe the interface could be a little more elaborated (instead of just stacking the paragraphs one onto the other). Anyway, kudos! |
