Dec 4 11:20:50 Embol ♥ 3 I really love what you did with the theme. It's a shame it was so short, I can imagine this being a very fun and difficult game once the conversations get a bit more advanced. I just wanted to keep playing to see what would happen to the poor guy!
Dec 4 12:15:59 55m 09s Too Many Cooks! ♥ 1 Great work. Very hectic! I couldn't quite work out what some of the ingredients would do until they were dropped in the pot and my sous chefs loved fish for some reason... By they end I was just slapping away sous chefs left and right to try and preserve the broth I had.
Dec 4 12:33:14 17m 15s Greedy Buggy ♥ 2 Great work, I love the idea. It would be nice to see some slightly less punishing controls (maybe adjust the tilt based on speed, so going slow and steady is an option). I managed to score 6 coins, mostly through rushing the next coin to reset the physics. There's no way I'd have got that many using any other method! :D
Dec 4 12:41:15 8m 01s Post Mayhem ♥ 1 Great work and nice take on the theme. The addition of using tape is a great addition to the classic stacking games. I wasn't a fan of the audio but the graphics were very nicely done.
Dec 4 12:55:58 14m 43s Information OVERLOAD ♥ 1 Nice work, made me chuckle on multiple occasions. It would be nice to see how much health you have left but other than that, no complaints here.
Dec 4 13:04:17 8m 19s Snèèz! ♥ 1 Nice work, I'd love to see where you take the game with a little more time. It would be good if it had a bit more strategy and some different virus types / powerups, but it's a really good start.
Dec 4 13:51:18 47m 01s Corporate Ladder ♥ 0 Great work. Played havoc with my RSI though! I found that watching videos to recover happiness was only worth doing when you were at zero productivity (right after you get promoted), that way there's no down-side. if you take the game further, maybe implement a system that stops (or discourages) you from slacking off right after you get promoted.
Dec 4 17:24:49 3h 33m Danger Noodle ♥ 1 Great idea mashing snake and platforming! Love the graphics too, has a really nice retro vibe.
Dec 4 17:39:45 14m 56s Rogue-Light ♥ 1 Great art and I love the sound effects! The controls are a bit awkward, it would have been nice to have movement using WASD since the mouse is involved. A fun game overall though, nice work.
Dec 4 19:18:59 1h 39m Lampauttaja ♥ 0 This is a beautiful looking game. I had a hard time getting the sheep to follow me and they regularly seems to kamikaze off the level. Other than that I liked it. The level design was good and did I mention those graphics!
Dec 4 19:49:02 30m 03s SpaceCab ♥ 0 Nice work, this was really fun. It took me a while to figure out exactly what I had to do, so some short tutorial text would have been nice. It was also a little hard to see the brown against the black. Other than that, it was really good. I'd love to see a more polished version, I think it'd make a great mobile game.
Dec 4 19:57:08 8m 06s Smack`Em! ♥ 1 Simple but well executed. Really loved the visuals and audio. Would love to see it developed further.
Dec 4 20:25:34 28m 26s Get Rich or Sink ♥ 4 I really like the aesthetics of this game. It looks great. I wasn't a fan of the boat's controls but other than that I really enjoyed it.
Dec 4 20:35:25 9m 51s Interview at Cacophony ♥ 3 Great work, I love the concept. It reminds me of my days back at music college! The audio was great quality, and this isn't a style of game I've really seen before. A great take on the theme.
Dec 4 21:17:44 42m 19s DEEPER ♥ 1 Really nice atmosphere. I couldn't get all three chests, but I'll keep trying!
Dec 4 21:28:52 11m 08s .SWARM ♥ 1 This is a really interesting mechanic. Nice work. It would be nice to have the ability to erase part of the path, but it works just fine as is. Great work!
Dec 4 21:41:58 13m 06s Lights, Camera, Action! ♥ 1 Love the concept and the humor. It was difficult to get the one-liner multiplier up but the voice acting was awesome and the one liners were excellent. Really cool game, great work.
Dec 5 00:04:54 2h 22m Temple Hunt ♥ 1 Where are his clothes?! 🤣 I noticed a couple of issues with the collision detection and the level is a bit dark, but other than that it's really good. Great work for your first game!
Dec 5 00:24:37 19m 43s A Walk To The Finish Line ♥ 1 Really great puzzle game. I love the aesthetics.
Dec 5 00:31:23 6m 46s Sofra ♥ 1 Great work on this game. I love the animation and the game is really fun. My only complaint would be that the jump is a bit of a pain and some of those gaps seem to be nearly pixel perfect!
Dec 5 00:44:20 12m 57s Patient Zero ♥ 1 This has got to be my favourite game so far. Simple and elegant design, good strategy elements. Exactly my kind of game. I'd love to know if you develop the idea further after the jam.
Dec 5 08:40:48 7h 56m Growing Earth ♥ 0 Great work for the amount of time you had. I'd love to see where you take it with more time.
Dec 5 09:15:31 34m 43s DrugRunner ♥ 1 Died going at 91 km/h with a blood alcohol level of 0.48%! I really like how each drug was linked to a different post-processing effect. It felt like you had to try and balance the drugs so you could still sort of see where you were going.
Dec 5 09:52:03 36m 32s Money Dungeon ♥ 1 Nice work. I couldn't really feel the theme coming through but it's still a solid game that I enjoyed (Nice troll on the quit button!).
Dec 5 10:12:52 20m 49s The Shepherd ♥ 1 Great work on this entry. The herding mechanic worked well but the map was a bit too large and empty, so it was difficult to find the sheep before the wolves came. I like the fact that you included an instructions screen and the background music was really nice.
Dec 5 10:24:26 11m 34s Kalyuka ♥ 1 Great work for your first LD. I really liked the character design and music. It would have been nice to see some more variation in the enemies (holding space just seemed to annihilate everything) and the tentacles seems a bit unfair, since you never knew where they were going to pop up next and had a goo chance of killing you. Overall though, it's a solid entry and I really enjoyed playing it.
Dec 5 10:32:57 8m 31s Too Many Chooks ♥ 1 Great game! The mechanic is simple but it's the little things that really make it sing. I like the fact that you get a little pre-warning before the eggs drop and the unlock mechanic had be go back and play again to see if I could get them all. I'm not sure why the chickens are happy that you're eating there eggs though! The sounds fit the game well and the art style was nice. Great job! high score was only 76 and I unlocked all but 3 of the chickens.
Dec 5 11:14:52 41m 55s I'm tired of all your stuff ♥ 1 The sound effects were awesome, love the little one liners too. Gameplay was fun, and I currently hold the high score (45)! :D
Dec 5 11:22:14 7m 22s Greedy Balloon ♥ 1 Nice work, especially for your first jam. The balloon was a little hard to control and you have some gold bricks spawning inside walls, but other than that it was really good. I love the art style and the concept fit the theme.
Dec 5 12:57:40 1h 35m Get in Shape ♥ 1 Great work. Unfortunately I suck at these kinds of dexterity games! The music was pleasant and the graphics were nice and clean. I couldn't really ask for much more from this kind of game. Definitely in my top 10 so far.
Dec 5 13:09:00 11m 20s Robo Tomb ♥ 1 This is a really cool entry. It's like bomberman crossed with snake! The graphics were really nice and the sound effects did their job well.
Dec 5 13:26:39 17m 39s Gophergeddon ♥ 1 Great work, kind of reminds me of Conways game of life but with more layers. I thought the gameplay was really well balanced and the art was great.
Dec 5 14:06:26 39m 47s Deadline ♥ 1 Great idea and a really fun game. I like the simple graphics and the gameplay felt well balanced.
Dec 5 14:14:19 7m 53s Be Yourself ♥ 1 Really cool concept - simply but effective, and fits the theme perfectly. I really like the artwork, it has a similar vibe to some of the stuff from 2D Boy. I also like the little details, like being able to change your character.
Dec 5 14:25:31 11m 12s Goblin Ascension ! ♥ 1 That was punishingly difficult. A little extra work on the jump controls would have made it a lot nicer to play, especially since some of those jumps are pretty much pixel perfect. That said, other that the controls, it was a solid game. I liked the audio in particular. Nice work.
Dec 5 14:42:19 16m 48s Junk ♥ 1 Nice work, it's a neat twist on a classic game. I played it a couple of times and some of the previous players definitely weren't taking it seriously! The on criticism I really have is that it would be nice to be able to skip the opening instructions once you've played it for the first time.
Dec 5 14:54:53 12m 34s Dangle Copter ♥ 1 Fantastic, easily in my top 5 games played this jam. i absolutely loved the control scheme and it's not something I've come across before, which is great. The art was superb and the sound was great, some light background music might have been nice though (nothing overpowering mind, and having no music didn't detract from the experience). To make it harder, maybe add damage to the helicopter or people, so you can only screw it up so many times. Overall though, fantastic work.
Dec 5 15:07:52 12m 59s Quantum's Rick ♥ 4 interesting idea and fits the theme well. So, will be contacting adult swim after this and making a fully licensed version?
Dec 5 15:17:37 9m 45s The lost strawberry ♥ 1 Nice work. The game could do with a little more hand-holding in the beginning, at least until you get used to what you're looking for. There's a lot going on so it's pretty hard to tell what you actually have to do right of the bat. It's a solid platformer though and the controls were nice. Great job.
Dec 5 15:33:23 15m 46s Slithering Secrets ♥ 1 Nice work, especially for your first game. I liked the art direction and the sound design was good, although the snake was probably a little too loud. Since everything is dark, it's pretty difficult to find your way around, so I ended up covering the same ground a few times when looking for the pickups. Other than that though it was pretty good fun.
Dec 5 15:52:45 19m 22s Friends.OS ♥ 1 Cool, idea and very challenging. The audio was spot on and I like the visual style of the game (Is that blood on the lava lamp?). Great work and it fits the theme well.
Dec 5 16:04:02 11m 17s Horny Bunny ♥ 6 Got solid platformer with a really twisted sense of humor. The graphics were good (reminded me of the oatmeal) and there were no game-breaking bugs (although I did occasionally get caught on the corner of blocks). Overall though, great work.
Dec 5 16:18:31 14m 29s Coins of rage ♥ 1 Great work, this was a really challenging game. I love the story and the art is fantastic!
Dec 5 16:28:28 9m 57s Money Is Everything ♥ 0 This game looks beautiful, the animations are awesome and the controls handle brilliantly. The only downside is the lack of music to bring it all together. Otherwise, Fantastic work.
Dec 5 16:44:42 16m 14s Slightly annoying traffic ♥ 1 This was some good fun, if only to watch the carnage at the end. The difficulty curve was quite nicely balanced. The only downside for me was the audio. Other than that, great job.
Dec 5 17:31:34 46m 52s Catamari ♥ 1 The game is fun but the cat is quite difficult to control. Adding the ability to spin in place would definitely help with with lining up the head with the food. It's a solid game though and the art is spot on. Great work.
Dec 5 17:53:20 21m 46s Dense Revolve ♥ 1 Cool game. It took me a while to figure out how to get up onto the platform and not die but after I figured out what to do it was pretty straight forward. Unfortunately there wasn't much depth to the mechanics and I worked out a fairly dominant strategy fairly quickly. A few more levels probably would have fixed that problem though, so with a bit more time it could certainly be an interesting game. I love the art style and retro sound effects, they worked really well together. Great work!
Dec 5 20:36:37 2h 43m Kritter Keeper ♥ 5 Great work. It's like a turbo charged Tamagotchi! I really like the art and the theme is brilliant.
Dec 5 21:06:55 30m 18s CrudeCarnageCars40 ♥ 2 Great fun and complete carnage! (no pun intended). The car was fun to control and I loved the cardboard buildings. A really great entry and would be great as a couch co-op game.
Dec 5 21:42:18 35m 23s Do Ki ♥ 1 Looks like a great start and reminds me of some of the old retro games from back in the NES days.
Dec 5 21:56:41 14m 23s Odaya ♥ 0 It looks like you've made a good start. It's a shame that you ran into problems because the atmosphere is really nice. I look forward to seeing where you take it next.
Dec 6 12:52:43 14h 56m The Legend of the Bikini Armor ♥ 1 Funny story (although the English could do with some work) and fantastic artwork. It's a shame you ran into problems, it would be great to see where the game went after this. The platforming seemed solid, it was just lacking the polish that time would give you. Great work.
Dec 6 14:43:56 1h 51m Make Ludum Dare Great Again ♥ 2 Great idea and sums up the jam perfectly (so I've been told - This was my first and I did the compo). The art style was really cool and the game played well. Great work.
Dec 6 16:11:23 1h 27m The Floor is Lava ♥ 1 This is awesome! The graphics and sound effects are both awesome and the game is really fun to play. I did find that the best strategy was to just hug the wall, so if you keep working on it, maybe add some sections where you can't just rely on sticking to the side. Great work!
Dec 6 22:29:42 6h 18m 10 inches or less ♥ 2 Fantastic work. One of my favorite games from those I've played so far. The art and music are both fantastic. I love the animations and the difficulty curve is very well balanced.
Dec 6 23:38:42 1h 09m Laser Defender ♥ 0 You probably shouldn't bother entering a game you made that followed a tutorial to the letter. I'd argue that you didn't actually make it, since the game is virtually identical to the original source. On a side note, the course you're following is really good and you should definitely keep going with it. Best of luck with your learning and come back next time with a game of your own design. P.S. You don't seem to have finished the section you're working on and haven't exported your build to WebGL, so your game is currently unplayable (you'll need to upgrade to Unity 5+ for that).
Dec 7 10:43:57 11h 05m ANTagonist ♥ 1 Nice work and a cool idea. My only complaint would be the limited firing directions, which makes the game artificially harder. I like how the sound effects build the tension, really well done.
Dec 9 09:58:36 47h 14m Feed Them ♥ 2 Great work! The visuals are great and the controls were smooth, aiming was a little difficult though. The audio was nice but didn't really fit with the rest of the game. It was very laid back for a game that should feel quite frantic. This would make a fantastic couch co-op game, so I look forward to the inclusion of multiplayer.
Dec 9 10:05:23 6m 47s DRAGLUTTONY ♥ 1 Cool concept. It's was a little difficult to get the hang of but once I had the controls down it was good fun. I really like the artwork and the audio was spot on.
Dec 9 10:13:28 8m 05s Save the Hats ♥ 1 Great work. It's incredible that you managed to fit in a cut scene and dialogue in there too! The design has a great retro arcade feel. The only real downside for me was not being able to skip the dialogue at the start of each new game.
Dec 9 10:25:17 11m 49s Space War Never Ends ♥ 0 Cool concept and fun to play. It had that "one more go" vibe which kept me playing for a while. I like the idea of the projectiles being sold objects that can interact with each other. made for a nice cascading effect and you could do some serious damage with just one swing. I wasn't a fan of the graphics, but I think that's probably just a lack of polish. Otherwise, great work! I'd love to see you take this further and polish it up.
Dec 9 12:03:31 1h 38m Runaway Magic ♥ 1 Interesting take on the theme. The dialogue was well written and full of funny references. The game outside of the dialogue didn't really seem to do much. It looks like quite an ambitious project, so I can understand why some elements are missing. I'd love to play a later version of the game though, once you've finished adding in all the core features you wanted. It's a really creative idea.
Dec 9 12:09:39 6m 08s Escape Infection! ♥ 1 Great concept and I like the mechanic for clearing the screen of viruses. I'd say that gameplay should be a little faster, mainly the players movement controls, to give you a few more options on how to avoid the incoming viruses. I really like the theme though and the music is perfectly suited to it. Great work.
Dec 9 12:25:02 15m 23s Marching Band Parade ♥ 2 This is a really great concept and I love the clean simple visuals (although it would be nice to see the characters carrying some low-poly instruments too). The controls are a bit fiddly with mouse but I imagine this would work great on touch devices. Overall, i really enjoyed it.
Dec 9 12:39:08 14m 06s The 1D107 Exterminator ♥ 1 Really like the idea and the limited ammo forces you to select your targets carefully. The inclusion of the day/might cycle was cool, but I didn't see much variation in gameplay between the two (other than just the light). I like the fact that you could destroy the terrain but it did present a problem in some levels, where you could effectively bottleneck the enemy and then just blast away until you win the level. You could fix this by making the enemies potentially damage terrain over time. Great work overall though, I really enjoyed playing it.
Dec 9 16:10:39 3h 31m The more hair you have... ♥ 1 Nice work and an interesting take on the theme. It was good that you could complete it both ways for different endings. It's rare to see games tackle social issues like this and this one was really well presented.
Dec 9 16:24:33 13m 54s Space Overflow ♥ 2 great idea. Once I worked out that I was trying to be as slow as possible I got some pretty decent scores. It's an interesting take on the genre and is very well presented.
Dec 9 16:42:34 18m 01s A Spark of Light ♥ 1 Cool idea and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. My only complaint was that it felt a bit hollow, in that it felt like something was missing. It would have been nice to have some other kind of challenges/goals that you have to complete during the game, or in a specific level. Overall though, I really liked the concept and had fun playing.
Dec 10 10:46:40 18h 04m Jazzy Beats ♥ 3 I love the art style and the music is catchy, very cool! Nicely done.
Dec 11 09:08:52 22h 22m Squirrel Puncher 4000! ♥ 0 Interesting idea and could be really cool with some extra polish. I really liked the music, very catchy and fit the theme you were going for. I got 2 KOs and a run time of 02:31 before my RSI gave up on me.
Dec 11 20:14:03 11h 05m Super Power Omega OP Force Sigma: Lasers of Lightning (SPOOFSLOL) ♥ 0 That's king of the bullet hell right there!I really love the idea of the enemies getting the power-ups at the same time as you and it means that you remain constantly under-powered due to the number of enemies on screen. The intro also made me laugh. Great job all around.
Dec 11 20:24:42 10m 39s Catch the bomb ♥ 1 Cool idea for updating Minesweeper. The inclusion of different characters was interesting. If you're continuing with development then maybe introduce some additional classes and allow the player to select their preferred team. I really enjoyed this and would love to see where you take it. Great work.
Dec 15 12:58:51 88h 34m Orbits ♥ 1 Awesome work, this was a blast to play. The atmosphere was spot on and the gameplay was challenging. Literally the only thing that i'd change would be to prevent the player from spawning multiple planets in quick succession. I Found that spamming a whole load in at the start could get you a really high score, since being hit makes you temporarily invulnerable and you can use that power to knock all the planets into a reasonable orbit. Overall though, fantastic work. This is one of my favourite games from the Compo.
Dec 15 14:56:43 1h 57m A Hero's Burden ♥ 2 Cool idea, I like the idea that there are not good choices, but I didn't really feel like my choices had any real consequence to the overall story. It's amazing how my you got done in the time, but I'd have like to see a few more nods to the choices you made in earlier levels (even if that meant the levels were longer but there weren't as many). The atmosphere was great and the story was well delivered. I'd love to play a longer version if you're team decides to keep working on it.
Dec 19 17:20:06 98h 23m EA's spaceBattle ♥ 1 This was pretty funny. I can't really say much more than that.
Dec 19 17:32:12 12m 06s Brick Racer ♥ 1 I had great fun trying to beat the highscore (ended up around 8th) it's a simple concept but really enjoyable. I'd be nice to have your current health more centralized so you can glance at it easier but the mechanics are solid. Great work.
Dec 22 09:27:33 63h 55m Infinity racer ♥ 0 Cool game but the difficulty curve is insane! It seems like the levels use random generation, which can quite happily place blocks that are impossible to avoid. This really killed the enjoyment for me, as it became more about luck than skill. That said, I like the minimalist visuals and the audio was well suited.
Dec 22 09:43:35 16m 02s Tentagraba ♥ 0 Genius! I absolutely loved this game. Takes dexterity games to a whole new level if you try to play it slow, like twister for your keyboard. Very original and the audio and visuals are both spot on. Definitely in my top 10 for the compo, great work!
