"Best Trip I ever took"
Great spin on the theme, hilarious snorting sound effect on pickup of the certain white substance had me diving for it every time.
Pros: - Great take on the theme - Nice stats at the end tying together everything you picked up on your "trip" - Nice effects caused by various pickups
Cons: - Graphics applicable but a little lacking
Overall a great entry, had a good laugh playing this, thanks!
I loved the aberration effects and the changes in graphics were fun. Nice simple little time waster.
Such a nice game! I just missed a menu or a key to close the game, everything else is great!
@jean During this compo I had to cut something down to make the deadline; figured it would be the menu and the exit button instead of the music. Thanks for playing!
ahaha awesome theme!))))
Died going at 91 km/h with a blood alcohol level of 0.48%! I really like how each drug was linked to a different post-processing effect. It felt like you had to try and balance the drugs so you could still sort of see where you were going.
I really like the mushroom effect and how the controls of the car feels. I wish that the cocain made you a little bit faster than it does now, but i guess that is just a matter of taste. Overall great looking Compo game! And thanks you for testing our game Kirill. Totally agree with you that it is interesting how different our approaches were even though we had the same Theme etc.
@jynspielt I will definitely increase the amount of boost you get from cocaine, it is nearly impossible to win the game at these settings. Thanks for checking it out!
Great connection to the theme, nice graphics, nice controls, nice effects and nice sound. Well done!
Lots of cool effects in this game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0hdEq4T8dE
@jupiter-hadley thanks for playing and making a video!
Cool game with nice effects. I would be awesome to have more points, not just final speed and alcohol level.
**Pros:**
•Fits the theme well
•Crazy graphics effects
**Cons:**
•Would have liked an end goal (other than getting shwasted)
Nice 3D graphics, was really smooth!
@pvtroswold Thanks for playing! There actually is an end goal - get to the other side by taking cocaine (but not too quickly). Unfortunately, neither I nor anybody else I know of was able to actually get to the other side; it's way too difficult.
Yes, I took much cocaine to become faster. And sometimes I smoked weed, to come down. And it is a very long way to mexico. Nice idea. The graphics are really ok, especially the shader. But after a time it gets repetitive. But all in all a nice entry.
Kids: don't do drugs. Or they do you! Hehe.
The sound fits very well to the game. Hero on the run to mexico.
Love this game and the drugs!! :D
At first I thought you had to avoid taking them all, then I was glad that the road turned into a giant pizza and my car was cutting slices for my friends the leaf and the house. Then we ate pizza, there was too much flour tho. I gave a hug to my friend the house Then went to sleep in a pile of leaves. 5/5 wouldn't try in real life
Pretty fun game, controls were great and the graphics/audio was spot on. It feels like once you get to .4% alcohol content there's nothing you can do to prevent crashing, which I guess is fair, but I wanted to become one with the roadbooze.
Wow! A compo game of this quality is rare. Well done!
**UPDATE:** After reviewing the Ludum Dare rules, I have reclassified this game as a ‘Jam’ game. Despite having completed it alone within the Compo-allotted timeframe, some assets were created by others (namely, @quaternius kindly provided 3D models for the vehicle and buildings, while the sounds were found online). Sorry about the confusion.
