| May 1 16:45:14 | Becky's very very Small and TOTALLY not mundane World | ♥ 1 | Capture.PNG I liked the cute artstyle and the progressive challenge of completing each task in a short amount of time. Noticed an issue where overtime the music got progressively slower in tempo and distorted, but aside from that it was a good typing game to play! | |
| May 1 17:48:23 | 1h 03m | Super Collapse Guy | ♥ 2 | Really neat twist on the whole 3D/2D concept, I wasn't really sure how to beat the levels until I realised you could rotate the camera with the mouse and that you are not restricted by angle to where you can flatten the world. It actually makes you think three dimensionally in how to solve a level. Really creative stuff! |
| May 1 20:41:52 | 2h 53m | Enlightenment | ♥ 2 | Straightforward and short, really like the ominous soundtrack! |
| May 1 21:06:46 | 24m 54s | Path of the Rabbit | ♥ 0 | Once again, Managore has made a game in 48 hours that is incredibly creative from a simple and novel idea. I have yet to get below 40 tiles remaining, so there is probably a lot I'm missing, but from what I've seen so far the mechanics add a lot of strategy, thought and luck, as you lead into end game scenarios. I think the only issue is that if you lead a rabbit to the edge, you are forced to do nothing except waste tiles. Unless there is a way to save yourself, I'd rather the game just end as soon as the rabbit reaches the edge of the playing field. |
| May 2 08:00:08 | 10h 53m | Bunny On A Plane | ♥ 0 | Graphics and song are adorable, very bright and colourful, wish I could sing along to it. Perspective did make it slightly difficult to know where to aim though. |
| May 2 08:07:12 | 7m 04s | ghost story | ♥ 0 | Neat little platformer, nice body switching mechanic. Dark opening though... |
| May 2 08:14:30 | 7m 18s | Pixlets | ♥ 1 | Very cute and easy to pick up. |
| May 2 08:18:17 | 3m 47s | Murder Mitosis | ♥ 2 | Really enjoyed this one, would make for a really good competitive party game or something. Great would on getting AI players in there, it's usually the one thing you see lacking in multiplayer gamejam titles. |
| May 2 08:26:07 | 7m 50s | Invaders of Yekithar | ♥ 1 | Pretty solid platform shooter. I found jumping on platforms to be really awkward because they are really small, and you'd hit them when you are underneath. I think it would be good if you can make it possible to jump through the platforms from underneath. |
| May 2 12:16:06 | 3h 49m | Mouth Rescue | ♥ 1 | Neat idea, I really liked the art style and setting. I found the controls a bit awkward, since you have to coordinate between X, Space and B instead of Z, X and C which is what I'm more accustomed to. |
| May 2 12:20:10 | 4m 04s | Mr Antibody | ♥ 0 | Pretty good twin-stick shooter, works really well with the mouse. |
| May 2 12:26:48 | 6m 38s | Bullet Wrap | ♥ 1 | Really solid vertical shooter, seeing the world get smaller and your ship wrapping around blew my mind. Shame there is no audio but I like the graphics (like the parallax stars) and the difficulty. Love a good bullet hell! |
| May 2 18:18:35 | 5h 51m | Rogue Basement | ♥ 1 | First of all, excellent soundtrack. It's also good to see a classic roguelike with ASCII visuals make the submissions list this time around! I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of the rocks are, I pick them up and throw them but I'm not able to throw them at monsters and they do not appear to affect the playing field in some way. |
| May 2 18:37:05 | 18m 30s | Monolith | ♥ 2 | Really fun and fast paced shooter, love the 1-bit pixel art style. My only gripe is that the difficulty spikes way too quickly, partially because you are unable to shoot until you aim and lock on to an enemy ship, and the lock-on area is quite small. Maybe you could start off with a slightly bigger area and then progressively reduce its size as you go down. Still quite fun once you get used to it, tempted to play it multiple times. |
| May 2 18:46:47 | 9m 42s | uP-8: Microprocessor | ♥ 1 | The fact you were able to get a fully functioning CPU in 72 hours is amazing! I'll probably need to do a bit more reading into the assembly language in order to fully beat this game, but from what I can manage this is pretty fun, could make for a good educational tool to teach kids hardcore programming! Hopefully you can sort out the post-processing so that you don't have to run the game in fullscreen mode. |
| May 2 18:57:29 | 10m 42s | Polyorbis | ♥ 1 | Very fitting game, and a very clean low poly art style. Great work! |
| May 2 19:15:20 | 17m 51s | The Final Earth | ♥ 0 | I'm impressed by the amount of depth this game has, with the amount of features progressively increasing overtime, in particular the game starting to warn you about the lack of resources. I think having some ambient sounds, not specifically music, would really add to the atmosphere of the world. |
| May 2 19:21:24 | 6m 04s | Mind The Gap (First Ludum Dare) | ♥ 2 | Really nice first LD game, I didn't really find any game breaking issues, but aiming felt awkward since the firing direction didn't exactly match the mouse position. I'm not sure if it's because the direction is based on where the mouse is pointing or the camera angle isn't being taken into account, but for this kind of game, the angle should be towards the mouse pointer relative to the player's position. |
| May 2 19:25:30 | 4m 06s | Terraformit | ♥ 1 | Nice shooter, I like the challenge brought with aiming since you are always facing the planet. Since this was an issue repeatedly mentioned for my game, I wonder if it would be good if the bullets curved slightly around the planet, with the amount of curve dependent of how close you are to the planet itself. |
| May 2 19:32:56 | 7m 26s | SMALL WORLD of LOVER | ♥ 1 | This is a very adorable concept of a game. It would be nice to have some alternative input options, namely keyboard. I hope there is a happy ending for this couple! |
| May 2 20:11:59 | 39m 03s | Bound | ♥ 1 | Couldn't load web version because of too much memory required, you need to allocate more memory to the game for it to run. The windows build works fine though. I like the look of the 3D models and the levels of difficulty to choose from. |
| May 2 20:21:16 | 9m 17s | Small World Smasher | ♥ 1 | Pretty good game, I was hoping for something similar to either Arkanoid or Bust-a-Move, where the planets can ricochet, or hitting groups will destroy all of them. There is definitely room for addition. The planets look nice as well. |
| May 2 20:29:30 | 8m 14s | Depth Gun | ♥ 0 | Really cool visuals, but the aiming is really difficult. I thought that if I line up the rectangle with the enemy I would hit them but even when they are still there is no hit until I'm right in front of them. |
| May 2 20:48:25 | 18m 55s | Noizy | ♥ 1 | The way the level moves is really trippy in a good way. This is a brilliant way to display the world of a platform game. I felt the boss was too easy, since it doesn't move around as much, but this is definitely one of my favourites! |
| May 2 21:08:58 | 20m 33s | TinyPlanets | ♥ 2 | Really like the UI, lots of info provided that is easy to read and moveable. ImGui is a great choice to have! |
| May 2 21:37:26 | 28m 28s | W.R.L.D. (World Reconnaissance eLite Defense) | ♥ 0 | This game is insandly fun! While moving the ship can get a bit slippery, having to deal with so many projectiles puts you in a bit of a rush. I do feel like the orbital cannons shouldn't be able to aim directly at you from the side, their design seems to imply that they can only aim in one direction, in front of them. Needless to say the game has a really good difficulty and the leaderboards are a great bonus! |
| May 2 21:53:16 | 15m 50s | Afterbirth | ♥ 1 | Really funny idea. Took me a while to find a strategy but I managed to be able to beat the doctor without losing any health. Great stuff! |
| May 2 22:01:14 | 7m 58s | Digital Backwater | ♥ 1 | Really liked the persistant levels. Would be nice if there was a specific goal in mind, with some exclusive reward for those who complete it. |
| May 2 22:10:01 | 8m 47s | Stable Orbit | ♥ 1 | Very nice little physics game that I find unintentionally hilarious. Really difficult but I bet is really rewarding. |
| May 3 12:16:04 | 14h 06m | Techium Eclipse | ♥ 0 | Nice defence style game, I originally had the game running on High graphics mode and it laggy, and the controls were really sensitive. setting the graphics to Low did help with performance but I still feel like camera rotation is still too sensitive. Love the low poly art style, game felt easy to get into and reasonably increased in difficulty over time. |
| May 3 19:28:56 | 7h 12m | Small World Fighters | ♥ 1 | Cool game, shame there isn't a single player or vs AI option since I cannot really play multiplayer by myself. I do like the design of the game world. |
| May 3 19:41:54 | 12m 58s | Pieni Saari | ♥ 0 | Nice adventure game, it has the feeling of a RPG strategy-lite since there is a mix of finding the right path with role-playing, but simple enough for anyone to approach. I also really like how colourful the sprites are. I did notice a bug where if you lose all your hearts at the same time you level up, you are shown to have full health, but get a game over. |
| May 3 20:27:27 | 45m 33s | TINY | ♥ 1 | Love the palette used and the ability to pick up almost anything is really fun, although dropping items is a bit irritating since you cannot overlap any of the side walls. I think it could have been avoided by having the collider push away the player/item away from the walls while carrying. |
| May 3 20:38:11 | 10m 44s | Snowed In | ♥ 2 | The narration in this is brilliant, funny and helpful. The game is a simple one, and I did find it clever how you tilt and shake the snow globe around to solve puzzles. There is definitely some good in-humour in this. Great work! |
| May 3 21:01:38 | 23m 27s | Bio Noid | ♥ 0 | Nice boss rush game, I get a turrican vibe from this, in particular with the music. I really like the variety of the bosses and how each stage transitions between one another. It would be nice to be able to multitask, like shooting while in the air or being able to turn and shoot instead of one at a time. |
| May 3 21:32:04 | 30m 26s | SUPER Space Barrel | ♥ 0 | Finally, a version of Super Crate Box that is both fun and fair! In all seriousness, I really like the tiny pixel art and the tight controls. This was really fun to play, great work! |
| May 3 21:45:02 | 12m 58s | SUPER METROARIO | ♥ 1 | Neat idea, I like how the levels are designed based on the mario's sprite. I also liked the variety of inputs available, I ended up going with WASD with space for jump because I was able to jump and crouch at the same time (something you cannot do with the directional keys). I did get one case where by jumping while crouched I ended up stuck in some of the question mark blocks, but aside from that this was a pretty solid Metroidvania, great job! |
| May 4 18:25:28 | 20h 40m | Infectoids | ♥ 0 | Nice puzzle game, I especially liked the creative designs of the viruses. I did find a bug where the screen would momentarily freeze when you restart a game, yet the audio keeps playing. |
| May 4 18:38:25 | 12m 57s | Soleil | ♥ 0 | I liked the low-poly earth and the music, and the jumps were manageable, but the mouse pointer needs to be fixed to the screen and maybe wrapped as well, since turning with the mouse is a bit awkward when you stop at the edge of the screen. |
| May 4 18:50:56 | 12m 31s | Alienus-Alienas | ♥ 0 | This game is surprisingly difficult, there are a lot of bullets on the screen and not much chance to block them. I do like the simple art style. Also I would have preferred using a key to repair a missile launcher instead of left-click. |
| May 4 19:24:58 | 34m 02s | Orbitunes | ♥ 1 | Really clever idea for a music game. It would be nice to have a bit more varience of notes, or maybe even have more than one planet? Oh the possibilities! |
| May 4 19:33:37 | 8m 39s | Headspace | ♥ 1 | Simple yet deep game, I have a feeling it's about social anxiety? I also enjoyed the music as well. |
| May 4 19:54:12 | 20m 35s | Libre | ♥ 2 | Really like the ominous music and the dark sci-fi atmosphere this game has. The puzzles were really clever, and I liked the mechanic of inspecting and swapping the pieces, although I would have liked for a way to cancel swapping a piece if you accidentally right=click on one of the squares. I wasn't entirely sure of the plot as the telecom messages seem to give mixed messages, but I do approve of the addition of video in this game. |
| May 4 20:44:28 | 50m 16s | Hopper | ♥ 2 | This was a fun platformer, and both the sound effects and the happy expression on the player's face makes this game a lot more adorable. The gravity physics also work really well. The only criticism I can think of is that the transition between levels are too slow. |
| May 4 21:18:24 | 33m 56s | Six Degrees of Separation Between Me and the Party | ♥ 1 | Brilliant! Has the similar feel of classic 90s point-n-click adventure games, great job getting multiple endings as well. The music felt a bit short, although it was fitting. Great entry nonetheless! |
| May 5 12:50:50 | 15h 32m | Dwelling | ♥ 1 | Very sweet and kind of sad. I liked the pleasant music and the colourful art style, felt sad for the little creatures below. I ended up losing 12 in order to get back to heaven. :( |
| May 7 12:46:54 | 47h 56m | Tiny Venture | ♥ 0 | Really like the ominous music and the really clean low poly art style. |
| May 7 13:31:59 | 45m 05s | coollapse | ♥ 2 | Fairly simple but fun little game, I'm not sure if this was intentional but I found clearing blocks was much quicker when going horizontal, I was able to beat the game in 17 seconds at one point! If the world rotation wasn't automatic I bet I could get it down faster. I do agree with @Maldo19 that there should be some sound effects but aside from that, great game! Capture.JPG Also the music was strangley erie and I'm not sure if that was intentioned either. |
| May 7 14:05:18 | 33m 19s | iwantout | ♥ 1 | Really nice and simplistic. The buttons are really tiny and precise, so I wonder if the game would be better if the screensize was a bit bigger. |
| May 7 14:17:13 | 11m 55s | Skylands | ♥ 2 | Really nifty puzzle game, I especially like the clean and colourful graphics, I could see this work as a mobile game. It would have been nice to have the WASD or directional keys work for moving the player around, since clicking can get tedious. |
| May 8 18:14:55 | 27h 57m | Badass Hobo | ♥ 1 | Pretty neat entry, but it is a little short. It also bothers me that there is no way to dodge the bullets unless you shoot zombies when they are so far away they don't try to run towards you. I still found the graphics to be nice and the concept kind of funny, but I wish there was more than just a few zombies and a UFO. |
| May 8 18:22:48 | 7m 53s | COSMOMOMOMOº | ♥ 1 | Really clever game concept, and the bullet trails are incredibly smooth and clean! I did find the puzzles a bit easy because of it being a perfectly round world and the ability to aim straight, so I think a bit of extra challenge could have been added from making the world a bit bumpy, causing bullets to change direction slightly. Also not sure if intentional, but on the last level I noticed I teleported randomly and all bullets I previously fired were spinning inside the planet instead of on the planet's surface. |
| May 8 19:43:45 | 1h 20m | RASHLANDER | ♥ 2 | Man your game is difficult! Managed to finish area 1 at least once before running out of fuel. Really like how you used the scanlines and shadow effects. |
| May 9 21:30:40 | 25h 46m | Run, U Fool! | ♥ 1 | Really like the graphics and audio, the dark and gloomy aesthetic is surprisingly uncommon in this jam. I did find the colour switching to be a bit frustrating because the order is random, so you either had to guess which door way or wait until the right colour comes available. |
| May 9 21:37:48 | 7m 08s | Destruction Zone | ♥ 1 | Pretty good twin-stick shooter. I did notice that once you die, the game carries on. Unless I'm missing a restart button there needs to be a game over state of some sort. |
| May 9 21:45:07 | 7m 19s | Five Minute Fire Fight | ♥ 1 | Very hectic defence game. I liked the simplistic colours and the music, as well as the variety of options in to choose from. Found a bug with the learn page, the text would go too fast if you hold the mouse button down. |
| May 14 22:48:11 | 121h 03m | Gravity Trails | ♥ 1 | Really fun planetary platform game! I really like how it's more than just jumping from one planet to another, but the planets can have their own movement patterns that you need to work with in order to progress and not hit the spikes. Also liked the cute little ending at the end. |
| May 15 12:54:44 | 14h 06m | Yet Another Zombie Wave Shooter | ♥ 3 | Not bad for a concept. Found the sound effects hilarious, but you need a sound effect for when bullets actually hit the zombies because it's really hard to tell if you are hitting a zombie or not, especially since there is a sound effect for when bullets hit stationary objects. |
| May 15 19:33:50 | 6h 39m | drone | ♥ 1 | Really nice visuals and audio, although I kind of wish there was a bit more interactivity. Still though a great concept for procedural audio! |
| May 15 19:37:36 | 3m 46s | Earth Invaders | ♥ 0 | Call it a hunch, but planetary shooters seem to be a [common type of game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/little-blast-planet) in this jam. ;) Kidding aside, I like the graphics and I approve of the warning to tell players where the asteroids are coming from. |
| May 17 12:19:02 | 40h 41m | A Social Network | ♥ 1 | Very good game based on a simple concept, did have some difficulty making the people follow the flags, since they wouldn't go towards them if they were too far away and would walk away from them on occasions. Still easy to follow regardless. |
| May 17 12:23:18 | 4m 16s | War in the Sky | ♥ 2 | Nice world managing game with incredibly smooth graphics! The UI is very clear and concise and the game flows smoothly between events! Great work! |
