Aug 1 12:59:29 Voodoo Lockdown ♥ 3 This game is incredibly creative! Great job getting each letter to interact without any issues with the world, I can imagine there are many different solutions to each of the rooms, different from the ones I used. I kind of wish the full keyboard would be supported (so numbers and special characters could be used) but you can go through the game with just the letters just fine. Great job!
Aug 1 17:39:03 4h 39m Recoil - Mike Said No Short Titles ♥ 1 Clever puzzle game. Was confused at first because I thought you were meant to link up all tesla coils but figured out how to play rather quickly. The game has a nice quick pace and simple controls. Nice work!
Aug 1 17:44:34 5m 31s Gems of Power ♥ 0 Really good Tower Defense game, presentation wise. Not sure if intentional but I did find it funny how the enemy cubes would sometimes flip around when trying to go through stuff or get attacked.
Aug 1 18:01:29 16m 55s Skelly Zone ♥ 1 Fun little shooter. For some reason the WebGL build was very slow, so I got the Windows build and while the motion blur was gone the performance was much better. I'm honestly not a fan of the tank controls, it makes the game awkward when aiming. I would suggest having the mouse aim and turn, and let the directional keys move and strafe (with gamepads you use the left and right analog sticks).
Aug 1 18:11:33 10m 04s Horrible Politics ♥ 1 The things you can make the President say is pretty funny, I like the variety of options and outcomes as well. Good work!
Aug 1 18:17:28 5m 55s Ludum Dare 39 - Untitled Fishing Game ♥ 0 The graphics look really great. I do agree with other people that there should be a way to refuel somehow. I also think there should be a little fish on the end of your line to show that you caught one for effect.
Aug 1 18:22:10 4m 42s Soul Gun ♥ 5 Nice platform shooter! I really like the graphics, I get a ZX Spectrum vibe from it. It's quite challenging to get through but the gravity switching aspect is pretty well designed.
Aug 1 18:59:14 37m 04s The Hackerman ♥ 2 Fun and frustrating game. Those popups and messages from your mom are annoying as hell!
Aug 1 19:05:21 6m 07s Mad Trax ♥ 4 I love the music and visual design, the titlescreen alone looks amazing and feels very creative. Brilliant use of theme by constantly managing your battery consumption between the train and guns. The game uses too much memory for my web browser but this worked great on my PC. Really enjoyed this one, particularly on repeat plays.
Aug 1 19:44:10 38m 49s Quoala ♥ 1 Good job here, a lot of options and a good amount of writing as well. Would be nice if there was an input to skip text, since it is a bit slow and repetitive. Other than that it's a good narrative that fits with the theme! :)
Aug 1 20:07:05 22m 55s PLUG ME ! ♥ 2 This is honestly one of the most entertaining concepts I've found in this games jam so far. The graphics are bright and colourful and I like the makeshift sound effects, they add to the humour. It's a shame the game takes up so much memory and ages to load, hopefully there are ways to optimize it.
Aug 1 20:16:06 9m 01s Batteries Sold Separately ♥ 4 Pretty fun twin-stick shooter! I liked the destruction and the easy controls. I felt the audio was a bit loud though...
Aug 1 20:46:36 30m 30s Super Power Frenzy ♥ 1 Very fun twin-stick shooter! I liked the simplistic pixel art style and the choice of music. Gameplay was clever but I feel it's a bit too heavy to control. It's difficult to move around and it doesn't help that moving drains your power. Still played through many attempts on this one!
Aug 1 21:09:55 23m 19s Limited Light (Tech Demo) ♥ 1 I like the graphics and the shading, although it's a shame how short the game is with little to do.
Aug 2 12:42:52 15h 32m MoonBall ♥ 1 Good job for a first submission! Platforming works very well, controls and collision are solid and the BB-8 design is very cute. I would say that there are some areas where you can miss one and are unable to go back to retrieve it. Well done on finishing! :)
Aug 2 12:47:13 4m 21s Extraction ♥ 1 The weapon management works really well, and I like both the art design and the music. Even the little voice has is quirky. Very fun and fitting game for the theme. Great work!
Aug 2 12:54:29 7m 16s [Web] Apocalyptic Gamer ♥ 1 This is incredibly innovated and clever use of the theme, the controls took me a while to get used to but I managed to get through a few of the levels. I can imagine if you wanted some extra difficulty, you can let the player disable audio for even more reduced energy, but make it especially challenging in rooms where sound would be important. There is definitely a lot of potential with this idea!
Aug 2 13:02:14 7m 45s MICROSCOPIC ♥ 1 Pretty fun game, had quite and simple difficulty curve. Tried restarting once and I couldn't move and no viruses were visible for some reason though.
Aug 3 12:54:29 23h 52m Growing Pains ♥ 1 Really fun title, did find walking frustrating because you have to have correct timing, and driving the car felt off, but this was a really funny entry.
Aug 3 18:50:16 5h 55m A LED story ♥ 0 I really liked that, especially the use of photos and models for the graphics, you really put a lot of thought into this. It's a shame that some of the later backgrounds had noticeable seams in them. The platforming was pretty good, although I think there is too much of a delay on the double jump, not to mention having the jump button also stop you from moving does kill the momentum, although I don't think it had much of a noticeable effect. The game does have a lot of charm to it, and it would be nice to see this expanded in some way. Great work!
Aug 3 19:00:45 10m 29s THUNDER RUNNER ♥ 1 Neat idea and solid autorunner, I like how there are multiple ways of regaining energy during a run. My best was 268m so not too bad. Pretty good pixel art as well!
Aug 3 20:54:30 1h 53m Unlit ♥ 1 Saw this on GamesPlusJames twitch stream. Really challenging and I like the use of monochrome colours and shading to distinctly show where to go and what to avoid. Shame there isn't a proper ending but this was a fun challenging platformer!
Aug 3 21:38:53 44m 23s Breaker Breaker! ♥ 3 Love a gameboy visual style! Music was pretty good as well.
Aug 3 22:07:21 28m 28s Super Helpful Man: An Old Man Super Hero Handy Man Simulator ♥ 2 "How can I ever repay you?" "By PAYING ME!" This game is charming and very hilarious! The writing is top notch! The last puzzle took me a while because I didn't inspect the van hard enough, and there are a few bugs with the audio and sprites, but this had a really good story with lots of funny and clever dialogue. Great job!
Aug 4 16:48:26 18h 41m Lionel's Weekend ♥ 3 This is a pretty fun memory game, the last level is especially challenging because you collect the box near the beginning instead of near the end and backtrack. Only issue I could find was the climbing a bit flimsy, as you can fall down immediately after reaching the top of one.
Aug 4 19:18:26 2h 30m Exile ♥ 1 Love a good twin-stick shooter! Love the 2-bit colour art style. Noticed the UI doesn't scale with the screen, was playing on 1280x720 and some of the buttons were going outside the screen.
Aug 4 19:23:25 4m 59s Plasma Arena ♥ 2 Really like the look of this one, reminds me of Quake graphics mixed with the red hellish design of Doom.
Aug 4 19:35:46 12m 21s Space Dog ♥ 2 I saw this game being played on a Twitch stream and I have to say it's really fun! I love the design of the dog and the power management handles really well. The physics can make switching batteries a bit awkward but nothing game-breaking. Really fun, great work!
Aug 7 13:10:46 65h 35m The Light City of Karola ♥ 1 Tried the first build, plays great! Felt a bit easy since you have plenty of time to run to each checkpoint before running out of time. I really like the blue colour scheme and the particles, and how the world has a nice glow to it.
Aug 8 12:52:34 23h 41m Constellation Exploration ♥ 1 Difficult yet clever game concept. Did notice the music stop looping after a while.
Aug 9 12:53:54 24h 01m Runic Forest ♥ 1 The graphics look really nice as well as the music and voice acting. Controls are clear and I like how straightforward the spell system is. Not to mention I like how the initial spell will always home in on the nearest enemy, it helps makes combat easy to get into for first timers.
Aug 10 12:22:14 23h 28m LOW BATT ♥ 1 A really good minimalist concept. I like how smooth the rotations are and how everything fits to the beat, I enjoyed seeing which directions made what sound. Very good music and instrument samples indeed. Great work!
Aug 12 13:02:39 48h 40m Devil On Rails ♥ 0 Really fun beat 'em up, I think it starts way too difficult though, way too many enemies to begin with. I also found the controls to be a bit awkward, although I'm not used to mixing mouse and keyboard controls in a beat 'em up. Looks really nice and I like the metal soundtrack, it does fit the setting I imagine you were going with. @filogc How dare you lie about beating my game! :P
Aug 17 12:42:58 119h 40m Exocharge Infinite ♥ 1 I really like the particle effects, and the twin-stick controls work very well. You should probably set the window to the right dimensions in the HTML5 link, in case people don't want to run the game at fullscreen.
Aug 21 19:45:53 103h 02m ANSWER ME! ♥ 0 Fun entries. I like the suspense of picking what to say, although I don't understand how the waiting system work. I definitely enjoyed the music and the fun dialogue though.
Aug 21 21:01:58 1h 16m Last Hyperjump ♥ 0 Works pretty well, controls are straightforward, no way to restart as far as I can tell.
