| Apr 23 04:40:00 | ascii world | Lovely! High score 1814 with music. :) | |
| Apr 23 04:42:00 | 2m 00s | OWWW | Now THAT's what I call MUSIC! |
| Apr 25 02:38:00 | 45h 56m | Little City | I loved this. The graphics are the high point, but it has a lovely style and tongue-in-cheek atmosphere and I actually said "wow!" out loud at how the game ended. :) |
| Apr 25 03:49:00 | 1h 11m | Super Strict Farmer | Wow, nice! So much polish! The title is LOL, and the game itself seems like it would be pretty fun to play with some Germans. I tried figuring out a strategy, but I couldn't figure out how to play cards even when I had enough resources. Is there a bug? |
| Apr 25 03:56:00 | 7m 00s | A Theft of Mass | Interesting mix of ideas. I didn't really see why I'd do anything but drill straight down, and it was frustrating to touch the ground a little and die. But I did play a few times to build up my ship. :) |
| Apr 25 04:02:00 | 6m 00s | WTF LEMME OUT!!! | I couldn't figure out how to run the pyc file, so maybe you should have instructions for that. But the .py worked for me. It's a very simple text adventure game with some oddities I don't understand (why does it ask me if I want to continue after each turn?) but a few cute twists, too. :) |
| Apr 25 04:25:00 | 23m 00s | Bright Worlds | Clever game mechanic and good music. The physics were quite loose, which made it kind of frustrating. I think with really fast updates and sub-grid mechanics this could be a very good game. |
| Apr 26 00:56:00 | 20h 31m | Little Biyubi | Very nice graphics and music! The gameplay was interesting. I liked how I had a very short horizon. It was frustrating to die because I felt like I was punished too much, and some stuff is avoidable by just walking on the walls. I didn't find the secret level :( |
| Apr 26 01:02:00 | 6m 00s | Tiny World Peace | Welcome to Ludum Dare :) Your game was charming. At first I didn't understand that I was supposed to keep the planets from fighting, rather than just defend Earth, and I couldn't figure out why I was losing. Ha! It's actually quite hard. My best strategy was to ignore Earth and just block the blue phasers, because once the planets were pretty small, missiles didn't usually connect. The sound effects were strange (in a good way) and the different win (lose) screens for each planet were a good touch. |
| Apr 26 01:08:00 | 6m 00s | caveman defending his cave from aliens while monoliths drop down from the sky | Funny! I didn't understand what I was supposed to do at first, but then I remembered the title. The chief challenge seems to be preparing for the sword, since it is really bad at catching up to enemies, and when the monolith is at far right you're at great risk of dying. Eventually it got repetitive, though. <br/> <br/>Hi-score: 9 monoliths. |
| Apr 26 01:13:00 | 5m 00s | Dessert Planet | This does play smooth and I like the mood. Dodging the meteors is not so bad, but I move so slowly around the world that the other half of it is basically irrelevant to me -- if a dessert appears there, by the time I can make it all the way around, it will have definitely crashed. Maybe there should be some slower-moving desserts too? <br/>Hi-score: 85 |
| Apr 26 02:51:00 | 1h 38m | Panopticon | Man, this is a creepy game. Good sound design and I love the drawings. The top down graphics and character movement could have used some polish. I didn't quite understand the end of the game, whether I beat it or not. But I did definitely feel creeped out, so high marks for mood. :) |
| Apr 26 03:05:00 | 14m 00s | Mr.No's Laboratory | The chip puzzle was a clever one, and I had fun with that. Moving around the game world was frustrating because my dude moved so fast (2,600 fps!) and even lining my character up with 1-width corridors was hard. Same went for the chip editor (is that an AT-AT walker? :)). The puzzles would have been more pleasant if I had just moved in discrete increments! Also, I didn't understand why the puzzles often involved symmetric pieces, like I was solving the same puzzle twice. <br/> <br/>Portal influence is transparent but I do like the talking computer. :) |
| Apr 26 03:09:00 | 4m 00s | Delirium | The graphics are superb and this is spot on for the theme. I feel like the mechanic could have a lot of good puzzles, but unfortunately there just isn't much content! I did play through it and liked it, though :) |
| Apr 26 03:24:00 | 15m 00s | Haxe Planets | Argh! So frustrating! I like the idea in principle of not being able to control my dude except for jumping. I think it would have been okay with just the platforms (which are hard), but those spiders just make it a matter of waiting for the timing to work out (the first one might be the worse one, too)... and if I die I have to start over! The graphics are good, too. |
| Apr 26 03:35:00 | 11m 00s | Stellar Nurse | This is a nice. The graphics are great (especially the title graphic!) and controls are really smooth. I found it fun to put stuff together, but the best strategy I found by far was to just fly around in the middle mashing space. I was hoping that something would happen if I *did* try to make a sun, by bolting the lava pieces to the middle thing. But nothing did, and I don't think the game ever poses any threat? So it's kind of like zen but I guess being a stellar nurse is pretty zen, when you think about it. <br/> <br/>Hi-score: 43290. |
| Apr 26 04:18:00 | 43m 00s | Pocket Planet | Awesome :) This fits the theme perfectly, has great graphics, and a cool tiny world! I found the secret heart at the top (pretty obvious) but the one on the right just vexes me... I know I can get into those little steps by jumping from the frozen world (hard enough), but I don't have enough vertical height to jump between the second and third one (I can land in the third one straight away, anyway), and definitely not to the top one. I know it's possible to double jump but this seems like a bug, and if I double jump I *still* can't make it to the top. What gives? <br/> <br/>I did beat it, but I think only by going back to the boss over and over until his hit points were worn down. He's hard. And the underhang spawn is placed such that if you die you're likely to just fall right off it, and then you have to suicide before you touch another respawn spot! <br/> <br/>But, I loved this; one of my favorites so far... |
| Apr 26 05:18:00 | 1h 00m | Three Trials | Cute game! I love the music. It's fantastic. I was pretty excited when I realized that the planet was tiny enough that I would eventually just reach the end and fall off. I jumped off of course (what am I falling to?) and died, but then I had error messages on my screen for the rest of the game. <br/> <br/>The jumping trial itself was pretty frustrating and I guess not that fun, probably because of how high my guy jumps and how I couldn't see far enough ahead. Other than that the controls were pretty smooth. Next time you will plan to make some sweet content! :) |
| Apr 27 23:00:00 | 41h 42m | Tiny Shards | Quite good. The music is great. The graphics are generally good, with the highlights being the character sprites; I feel like low-res art only works when the pixels are done by hand and some of the backgrounds (especially e.g. the platforms) did not seem that way, they just seemed low-res. The grid filter is a bit overdone but probably does help the feel. The high point is the story. It's sort of obvious, so I'm glad the end didn't beat my head in with it. I did like the metaphor and slowly realizing it and it was a good one for the theme. Nice job! |
| Apr 28 00:09:00 | 1h 09m | Exposed | You guys are crazy good. This one is light on gameplay (I was just clicking randomly and actually it was pretty frustrating) but it's so smooth and the graphics and music are totally pro. I'm jealous. |
| Apr 28 15:46:00 | 15h 37m | Civilized Pixel | The music is great! Why is it so loud on the menu and so soft in the game though? :) I really like the screenshots, but I was not able to make any cities nearly that big. Mine all died pretty quick, and then I was in debt so I think I owe you 20 dollars! |
| Apr 28 16:16:00 | 30m 00s | Worlds in Cards | Very good! It is indeed reminiscent of GB. The game idea is nice, and the levels were a good difficulty (I think #4 was the hardest) and the game was the right length. Nice! |
| Apr 28 16:20:00 | 4m 00s | pixTown | Love the intro! The music is nice too. The gameplay is basic and basically fun; the chief difficulty for me was that I felt like space should drop and the arrow keys should change color, so I kept mixing those up. :) I was sort of expecting the colors coming in from the right to determine what I could drop next, which would have added a challenge... <br/> <br/>High score 2720! |
| Apr 28 16:27:00 | 7m 00s | Bugs | A charming little game, mostly because of the character graphics, and the way they're used to write words. :) I played to the fourth level, but the game is not very forgiving and it's actually pretty hard to time the hacking since you have to remember where the unit tests turn around. So I did get fed up. :) |
| Apr 28 16:34:00 | 7m 00s | Dr. Biology's Educational Game | Yay biology! I got stuck on the one that is impossible without multi-push and I was going to come and tell you that it's impossible, but then I read the spoilers. I wish the game had telegraphed that better. But it's a good and creative puzzle with that rule! |
| Apr 28 16:47:00 | 13m 00s | microchip | I like the play mechanic and the mood. I was unable to eat the bugs on the ceiling down the tunnel! I tried so hard, even resetting, but once the block below it is eaten, I don't know how to get up there (when I'm stuck in one of my own blocks I can't swallow it?). The graphics and bug-style is nice, but it's too obviously derivative of Fez for me to feel good about it. |
| Apr 28 18:20:00 | 1h 33m | Mitochondrion | I made 'em all spin, but was there more to do? :) I liked the mechanism of needing to stay small to get through some of the passages, and it played pretty smoothly... |
| Apr 28 19:21:00 | 1h 01m | A Super Mario Summary | Heroic! This is a great idea and well-executed. Thanks for remaking the graphics so I don't need to feel weird about voting in favor. :) The biggest downside with this game is that most levels are trivial to finish, and I really didn't feel motivated to get all the coins or hit the top of the flagpole. So, I think a bit of difficulty adjustment would have helped. The game plays very smoothly but the controls took a bit to get used to, because they are not very mario-like (air deceleration seems high). Overall, very impressive. |
| Apr 28 19:31:00 | 10m 00s | Pixels World | Charming little platformer. :) It seems longer than the idea warrants, but I had fun with it and the unpolished parts (like misspellings and vibrating HUD and so on) add to the charm, for me at least. My favorite is the beginning with everyone warning me not to do the quest. :) |
| Apr 28 19:34:00 | 3m 00s | Uncle Istvan | Nice graphics and music. But why does the music loop at the point it does? Gameplay wise, well, it's non-trivial but it does get old pretty quickly. :) |
| Apr 28 19:39:00 | 5m 00s | Tiny World Destruction | Funny :) I love my eye lasers, and I had a good laugh when I encountered the Death Star! |
| Apr 28 19:51:00 | 12m 00s | itty 8bitty | Love the music, especially the title music. :) A good little game idea and well executed... |
| Apr 28 22:15:00 | 2h 24m | Craemle Zone | Wow, this is a super weird game! The graphics and music fit well together to create an uncomfortable atmosphere. Does sorta make me feel like I am going crazy... |
| Apr 29 16:11:00 | 17h 56m | Little Mischief Makers | Cute and fun. I liked drilling and making blocks the best, though one of the keys I don't see how to get to because I can't drill to the side (and what does the fist do?). I felt like the jumping physics were a bit off. Music fit well. |
| Apr 29 16:23:00 | 12m 00s | Lost | This was a nice little platformer. It played pretty smoothly despite the discrete inputs, I guess because my guy is pretty small. Fits the theme appropriately. I liked the wandering grain-slowed piano soundtrack. The part with the green dots was a bit aggravating, to have to go back and forth. But I liked the one-way passage; that was a deft surprise. Unfortunately it bit me later: After I get to the beach there are some trees (the screen right after your last screenshot) and it seems that the leaves are solid, and I got stuck inside the middle one because of the same one-way trap. I ain't starting over! :( |
| Apr 29 16:32:00 | 9m 00s | A Bathtub Story | Fun and funny! The graphics are the high point. The gameplay is simple and mostly consists of circle-strafing, but in the last few levels you have to have a good plan and do some bullet hell stuff to survive, and the very last level is a great surprise. :) |
| Apr 29 17:00:00 | 28m 00s | Tiny World War | Graphics are super good. The game plays pretty smoothly and I'm glad there was an end (Hi score 27.42s!) because without a weapon it's pretty much just a dodge-em-up. :) It was really hard to read the text when the screen was vibrating, and it seemed like that box was in the way sometimes in the tutorial. I liked this one. |
| Apr 29 17:18:00 | 18m 00s | Ancestor's Sword | Loved it! One of my favorites so far. The little world is charming and the (very talkative) NPCs give it some character. I love the exploration style of gameplay and deaths were not at all punishing, which is important because this game is all about learning the weird physics and dying a lot. I managed to beat it, though at the end I think I exploited a bug to win (how are you supposed to get up that long beanstalk?): If you are on a corner, you can slowly drift diagonally away from that corner by holding both directions, as long as no other gravities get in your way. You can do this to the grandpa platform. <br/> <br/>One of my favorite moments was sitting at "The End" and seeing a rat make its way around that island and to run into my inert body and get slain. ;) |
| Apr 29 20:25:00 | 3h 07m | Link | Beat it! This is not a new puzzle idea but your puzzles were pretty good; I was particularly stumped on the first one in the last world. Sometimes it was awkward to pick up the right wire when I was in a place where 'q' was ambiguous, but eventually I figured it out. |
| Apr 29 20:33:00 | 8m 00s | Gnome Purseuit | I love the graphics and the idea, especially the hand, but I can't for the life of me get it to do anything. Right clicks pop up a menu, so that might be part of the problem? |
| Apr 29 20:39:00 | 6m 00s | Quest^3 | This is an interesting idea... more graphics during the battles would have made a big difference. There are so many castles and towers that the Rubik's cube mechanism doesn't seem that useful, just confusing. The world graphics are pretty cool! |
| Apr 29 20:43:00 | 4m 00s | Diminutive Dungeon | Nice idea and good execution. :) I had trouble telling whether a weapon was better just based on its description sometimes, which was a strange play mechanic. The music was great. |
| Apr 29 21:37:00 | 54m 00s | Atom Planet | I like the graphics and mood. I can't figure out how to make anything happen! I put the water on the fire and it still goes? Are there clues in the game? |
| Apr 29 21:51:00 | 14m 00s | Biodome | The mood and music and art are super. The gameplay was really frustrating for me, because most of the puzzles were tedious (obvious what I had to do but lots of back and forth to do it) and it's so hard to get blocks stacked in this game! Some more work on that and making restarting less punishing would have made it more fun. But it's a nice looking and sounding game! |
| Apr 29 22:10:00 | 19m 00s | Superpixel | This is an obvious Super Meat Boy clone but a good one. The controls are solid and I played through the whole thing (easy) and it was fun. The music gets a bit much after a while. :) |
| Apr 29 22:24:00 | 14m 00s | Rally Mites | It's just like Micro Machines, one of my favorites! But where are the other cars, or even a lap counter? :) The graphics and music a great... |
| Apr 29 22:28:00 | 4m 00s | Turtles, all the Way Down! | Hilarious! There's not much challenge it seems, in fact, waiting seems to keep people more alive than meteoring them. But what's the fun in that? |
| Apr 30 03:33:00 | 5h 05m | 48 hour MMO | Love this idea! But the world is awfully empty, especially when all the other players are just standing still. :) The objective to "kill rats... so that you can grief other players" is indeed the essence of MMORPG. :) |
| Apr 30 03:37:00 | 4m 00s | 100seconds'World | I like the idea of "tiny" interpreted in terms of time. The game plays smoothly but I wasn't able to get much done with just buildings and trees... it would definitely benefit from more elements and interactions! |
| Apr 30 03:57:00 | 20m 00s | Catamari Meowacy | Drugs are a great invention. |
| Apr 30 04:14:00 | 17m 00s | Escape from Minimars | This is some pro stuff, guys! The graphics are great, and the music is wonderful. Ultimately the game is pretty repetitive and easy (except accidentally jumping off the edges of the world) and I did have weird performance on Chrome, but this is probably HTML5's fault more than yours. I played through to the end with like 314 kills. |
| May 5 16:24:00 | 132h 10m | Memento XII | Real good! A pretty compelling story and not too bad to figure out by random exploration. :) But when will I saw through the rusty pipe with the knife to fill the room with water, in order to escape?? |
| May 5 17:45:00 | 1h 21m | Overpopulous | Nice style! :) I liked the intro a lot. The planet pinball gameplay is pretty fun, though I only found 39/40 planets and I didn't really know how to make progress except explore randomly. I hope I didn't miss a sweet cutscene! |
| May 5 20:25:00 | 2h 40m | Drill It!: Demolition Co. | Great graphics! The controls were weird because I definitely need the C key, so the arrows (which are more natural for me) are obviously out. It's a little weird that while I'm drilling there's almost nothing to do but shoot down the narrow corridors where monsters might attack me. The bombs are pretty useless for this, and it's the most vulnerable time. Maybe some weapons that can arc around the planet more? |
| May 5 20:27:00 | 2m 00s | eat, sleep, work | High score 1 :) |
| May 5 20:31:00 | 4m 00s | orange thing | I love the character graphics, actually. :) But when I do it one more time, nothing happens! |
| May 5 20:35:00 | 4m 00s | Particulate Planet | This is a really odd game. :) But it hangs together and that is a good thing. The pills coming towards the house on the right are hard to hit. After they start getting closer I couldn't find any way to hit them. But fortunately once that building is dead I was able to stave off the ones coming for the buildings on the left. Glad I didn't have to go for 5 minutes! ;) |
| May 5 20:42:00 | 7m 00s | Slime Buster Micro | I like the graphics and music, but... <br/>How do I get the gems so that I can upgrade my weapons? |
| May 5 20:52:00 | 10m 00s | Aether | What a good idea! I love the graphics. I didn't find much in terms of gameplay since I can run pretty quickly to the stations, launch a few rockets, and the fact that the ground is deformed didn't play into it for me. But I had a lot of fun anyway. Good music, too! |
| May 5 21:01:00 | 9m 00s | Planet Life | Wow, this is super weird. :) I loved the intro and I was so confused; does bootman even come back? I want to do boot! |
| May 5 21:16:00 | 15m 00s | The Elves end the Shoemaker | Cute!! The graphics are great. The game is very short, as you know, but a fun and complete little bonus round. :) |
| May 5 21:21:00 | 5m 00s | The Cheesiest Game Ever! | 13! Please keep making games :) My favorite part is the graphics! |
| May 5 21:46:00 | 25m 00s | Terra Bellum | This is a great idea. It's really hard to get off to a start, because most advanced worlds will crush you easily (or you both just shoot ahead missing each other). And you may regret the way you built your level and I didn't figure out how to change it. But, I liked the concept and played it for a while and was finally able to beat some people, mostly by luck. |
| May 5 21:51:00 | 5m 00s | The Sheep Are Sinking | Hmm, I love editing the terrain and it's very smooth, but the sheep don't ever come when I press W. What's goin' on? They just sit there, whether on land or on water... |
| May 6 14:24:00 | 16h 33m | subAtomic | Great! I love this style of game and there should be more in LD. A nice complete story and lovely graphics. Sometimes the snarky dialogue didn't come across that well, maybe because it was just non-stop. Some of it was pretty funny, though. |
| May 6 14:27:00 | 3m 00s | It's a Small World: The F.P.S. | Haha. :) Actually, I think that the Small World ride would actually be pretty fun with laser tag rifles. Disney should consider this. |
| May 6 14:32:00 | 5m 00s | Fooling Yourself in Moderation | Weeeeeeeird. I can avoid the black balls for quite a while, but eventually the world spazzes out pretty hardcore. Eerie. I had a good experience. :) |
| May 6 14:55:00 | 23m 00s | Recluse | Excellent! The trick was a great surprise; the first I've ever seen that and very satisfying. The flashing on my computer was a regrettable distraction. Very smart, though. I like the graphics and the double entendres (shouldn't they be brown, though?) and secrets. Controls felt a little slow. Hi-score: true bro. |
| May 6 16:02:00 | 1h 07m | Subatomica | Really cool. I had a hard time getting the hang of it at first (might just be the controls?). I realized eventually that if you are neutral and moving fast then you will eventually reach the goal from bouncing around randomly. That's kind of a flaw (maybe you should not bounce, but drift off?) though your time system makes it still a challenge. <br/> <br/>Biggest downside for me was that the game got slow and crashed about 8 levels in. :( |
| May 6 16:05:00 | 3m 00s | Tiny Resolution | Tiny indeed! At first I didn't know I could double-jump, so I left the first pixel for later. But then you can't get it! |
| May 6 16:10:00 | 5m 00s | LHC | Quarkanoid! This is a pretty funny game though it doesn't really have gameplay that I can discern (doesn't bother me :)). A good concept and a good interpretation of the theme. |
| May 6 16:14:00 | 4m 00s | Where It Begins | If those are red blood cells what am I? Triglycerides?? <br/>I liked the mood on this one. |
| May 6 16:21:00 | 7m 00s | One Small Planet's Trouble | Charming. I even like the non-standard behavior of ladders and moving platforms. :) It's pretty hard but I played through it, dying an eponymous 23 times! |
| May 6 16:29:00 | 8m 00s | Mozi Life | This is a neat idea. The controls are pretty hard to get the hang of (I didn't know what I was controlling in the first one) though the Nom stage was very smooth and natural. I wasn't able to lay any eggs, even with your hint. Do I just keep running the mouse up and down? |
| May 7 00:34:00 | 8h 05m | terminus | I like this game. I played through it three times, first to try to get the "worst" ending (chopped down the mother tree and killed everyone), second to try to get the "good" ending (helped stack up non-useless trees, got the axe, hid in the cave), third to try getting another ending. Downsides: It wasn't at all clear to me what other things might influence the ending. It was hard to chop trees without accidentally killing guys. The 5 minute cycle was too long, and some kind of literal timer would have helped. I didn't see any need to actually go to sleep? Upsides: Good graphics, idea, interactions. It was gripping enough for me to try to play and get different endings. |
| May 7 00:47:00 | 13m 00s | Prince of Leaves | Very charming. I love the hand-painted background graphics, and the theme song is great too (though it is a bit repetitive for it to be the only music in the game). Fighting the ants was actually pretty challenging; it takes some timing. The other enemies were comparatively easy. I liked the other adventurers I encountered along the way. :) |
| May 7 01:04:00 | 17m 00s | Surrounded by Snails | This game is a lot more fun than it looked, and it had really great music. Thanks for the warning about the boss; I would have tried a lot. What was the (T) in the top left for? Another red herring? |
| May 7 01:26:00 | 22m 00s | Wunderworld | This is pretty cool. Minecraftesque. I do wish some levels came with it so that I could get the hang of what I should build, since in my first level I fell out of the world pretty quickly. :) |
| May 10 16:54:00 | 87h 28m | Intersection | This is a neat take on the two-players-moving-in-tandem style puzzle. I found it fun to figure out what's going on. But once you do, the puzzle is pretty easy, for the reasons you know. Maybe if you were forced to take alternating steps or something? Also, I got the dots to touch but still failed; is that intentional? |
| May 12 16:16:00 | 47h 22m | Rambros | Love this. I wish there was a win condition, but it's supremely fun and the graphics and audio are top notch. My favorite was the deformable ground and how I could dig through it to get around enemies or kill them in unexpected ways. |
| May 12 16:33:00 | 17m 00s | Jetpack Pixel | This is cute. The physics are pretty wrong for a jetpack (I don't seem to have any "velocity", but it seems like the world is at least created in such a way that I can continue forever if I'm good. I like the graphics (particularly the disorienting perspective on the windows). The high point for me is when the techno beats come in at night time. :) <br/> <br/>Hi-score 40 hours! |
| May 12 16:41:00 | 8m 00s | World In A Bottle | This is a cool sim. I really like the take on the theme and the graphics, and the calm music. The I don't have that much control over the environment (which I know is part of the point), but that leaves me feeling like the gameplay is limited. It's a great idea, though. |
| May 12 16:45:00 | 4m 00s | World Gone Wrong | The best part is this growing black hole, which makes the game really tense. Unfortunately it means that success is mostly luck -- if you go the wrong way at the beginning there's almost no chance you're going to make it back past the hole to find the exit. So it was a lot of trial and error for me and I usually used my teleport right at the start. Fog of war would have been improved if it was based on line-of-sight rather than just adjacency. Played through level 5! |
| May 13 21:42:00 | 28h 57m | CursorVsMan | This is a cool idea! It seems pretty buggy; it crashes with an exception when I press backspace and the typist doesn't usually succeed in correcting typos on my computer. But it is fun to mess with him. I think that with a decent model of likely typos (seems like any typo arouses just as much suspicion, even inserting @ every time or something), it could be a game of some skill... |
| May 13 23:16:00 | 1h 34m | Tinysasters | Very good all around! The graphics and event animations are great. The music is just right. The gameplay is reasonably fun, though I felt like it ended too early on my playthrough. Maybe just because I was on Easy mode. :) Though it wasn't too hard to figure out, more cues in-game to help you understand what buildings produce what resources would have improved my experience. |
| May 13 23:19:00 | 3m 00s | Tinysaur | The audio is super buggy, but I thought that led to an amusing urgency. I think the dinosaur's physics are a bit off-feeling (jumps and falls too fast). I got all the eggs though and had fun! |
| May 13 23:27:00 | 8m 00s | Tinytanic | Hilarious! The people graphics are so cute, and are they parametric? I was really impressed with the variety. The controls for fighting were hard for me to get the hang of, which is too bad, because I just love the idea of a beat-em-up on the titanic like this. Is the boat's flag the Windows logo? :) |
| May 13 23:28:00 | 1m 00s | Tinysoft | This played the opening screen for me but then the game itself never loaded. :( Chrome on Windows. |
| May 13 23:35:00 | 7m 00s | Tinyverse | Quite good. The music is great and adds tension; the integrated text gets me into the action right away. I found the right-dragging mechanic difficult at first because of the lack of feedback, but once I figured it out it was usually fine. The play mechanic is novel, though it didn't really seem like it led to a large variety of puzzles, so that was one downside. Good all around, though. |
| May 13 23:38:00 | 3m 00s | Tinyville Confidential | The graphics are super good! I think this is a really good concept for a game, though it went by too quickly for me to make real progress on arranging the houses during the night. So I mostly just watched. :) |
| May 13 23:44:00 | 6m 00s | Unusable Man and the Orbs of Exponential Growth | The gameplay is nothing new, but the mood (from the randomly? generated in-game music to the self-deprecating intro) did make it memorable. :) |
| May 13 23:48:00 | 4m 00s | TMORPG | There was nobody else online when I tried, too bad! I always smile at these tiny mmorpgs though, and yours worked the best of the ones I played in this compo. I killed some rats! |
| May 14 00:00:00 | 12m 00s | To What a Mountain? | Wow, that took some surprising turns. :) The game itself is pretty repetitive, but I did laugh a few times, and I found my main character's graphics really funny too. Big ups for the verse-based credits. That was my favorite. |
| May 14 00:08:00 | 8m 00s | Toad Warrior | The graphics are really great, and the game plays smooth. It's so hard though! In particular, since I can't control myself once I take off (even with bounces) I suffered a bunch of deaths that seemed unfair. You have to be patient in the air no matter what. I love that frog's gape though. |
| May 14 00:12:00 | 4m 00s | Tiny Word | Ha! That was confusing, but more than met the eye. :) Nice one. |
| May 14 00:16:00 | 4m 00s | Sako | Nice graphics, animation, and music! The gameplay was a little stiff and the deaths pretty punishing. I didn't understand why I seemed to die (?) when I got the key, or how to dig through dirt with the mole power? I guess I'm just encountering unfinished bits... |
| May 14 00:19:00 | 3m 00s | Trees of Life | The graphics are nice; I particularly liked watching the trees grow. I got stuck pretty quickly after starting in a crevice somewhere that I couldn't jump out of or move from. I find these first-person games really hard to play without the mouselook being "inverted", so a configuration option for that would have helped me! |
| May 14 00:22:00 | 3m 00s | Dusty | Wow, you win the award for most disturbing-looking player character! I was intrigued when I played the second level and realized that there good be some good puzzle gameplay, but it seems like it's just those two. Too bad! |
| May 14 00:27:00 | 5m 00s | Triskelion | Didn't accept my keys on the first try (?) which was quite confusing. Once I tried it again I understood pretty quickly. It's kind of like a hyperdangerous Bomberman, but I died just as soon as I got attached to my progress and then I didn't want to try again, you know? I liked the old-skool graphics. |
| May 14 00:33:00 | 6m 00s | Tronster Tiny World | I managed to beat it without really understanding the rules of how the trees grow, which I think is bad, though I guess the rules were intuitive. The overall mood is really good, from the music to the font choice and the sense of progress. I had a good time! |
| May 14 00:42:00 | 9m 00s | Trucking the Universe | Hah! Boy am I glad that driving is not really like that. The worm was scary since it reminded me of the experience of watching the movie Tremors. The game was quite challenging and sort of nauseating but I played through it and had a good time! :) |
| May 14 00:45:00 | 3m 00s | Universal Singularity | Your description is quite apt! :) I can only get about 4 cells. It's quite hard! The vibe is real old-skhool though, which and makes me forgive the controls... |
| May 14 01:50:00 | 1h 05m | Hamster Bowling | hahaha! :) |
