Mind Wall Fun game. The background along with the audio worked very well together to give it a sort of Towlresque "you're losing your mind" feel. Very good.
Sky Upon Us Cool concept, but unfortunately it doesn't stay fun very long. The art is quite good.
Bunny Press One of my favorites do far.
The graphics were excellent. The audio wasn't fantastic but it did the job. The blood and damage to the grass left by the walls was a very nice touch. So many different elements to interact with make it a shame there are only 11 levels. Me wants more! :D
The only downside I found was not having a restart button for levels that you obviously lost and have to wait to die and, more importantly, the ones were you can't win but where the crushing walls have left, leaving you stuck :S.
Sir Henry Placeholder and the Badly Timed Parade Yay cake!
Very nice. I respawned in the background once and had to reload the game, but despite that it was very fun. The last boss was tricky, but in a good way.
We Control the Purple Creature Cool game. Looking forward to the next versions.
DoomCake I found the controls a bit uncomfortable.
On the other hand the idea of a wall of cake with teeth is delightful and the graphics are quite nice.
The falling orange jelly beans were a bit confusing despite the shadows.
Deathbeam I liked it, but there were big problems with collision detection, I could often fly through walls. Despite that it was a fun game and I felt the graphics, simple as they were, worked really well. I really liked the screen whiting out when the beam got too close. The easter egg beyond the exit was also a nice touch.
Die, you Stupid Hurdlers! Nice story, & the graphical style is very nice too.
Gameplay wasn't that fun though having the traps appear gradually was a nice touch encouraging players to stay around to see what the next trap will do.
Happy Blob is Unhappy! Nice graphics, being able to destroy a bunch of stuff and having it leave a mess is nice. I didn't really like the music though and it was too hard for me, I gave up after the saws.
The Great Wave off Kanagawa Interesting game mechanism. The audio works very well so it's a shame it was made out of competition. The graphics are very nice too, especially the waves.
StarFerret Awesome plushy dialogue. I was disappointed there wasn't a boss fight, especially since Evilosaur said his minions were disposable.
Snap To Grid no source
Jach’s Lava Flee The jumping physics were quite weird. I finished it, but only by having the character commit suicide at strategic places.
Despite that it is a pretty neat game.
superflat’s Balls Of Legend [Mac / PC] Way too unforgiving.
Its quite polished though and the graphics and sound work well together.
Fleedom Flies Fun game. The highscore makes it quite addictive. :)
Manually Operated Cool plot. As others have said the mid game is somewhat tedious.
A thing! Quite cool, but much too hard for me, though I guess playing with a touch pad doesn't help.
Sound and some stronger weapons could make it even better.
If You Don’t Run Away From the Fire Then You Will Die So Thats Why You Should Run From the Fire My best score so far is 3662. It's surprisingly fun. I predict it would be incredibly addictive with an online highscore table. I loved the little ghost guy when you crash into the spikes.
The Dark at the End of the Tunnel Very cool!
One of my favorites. I found waiting for the monsters to move slowed the game down though.
arcticum It's a shame the victory screen was missing. The ice wall was very well done. I found the music volume was too low compared to the sound effects. Wonderful backstory, great minds think alike. ;)
Hill Climber: Extreme Edition Nice to see a roguelike in LD. As Osgeld mentioned, once you get to the white area it becomes very hard to keep track of where you are. The messages were funny, but having a "funny" command seemed like an odd idea, it would have seemed less artificial if the messages just popped out at random or when eating (a fortune cookie) or something in game rather than the player having to explicitly ask for them.
WALLS OF DOOM! Cool idea, but the collision detection didn't work, the wall of doom would just go through the character.
Put the Ball in the Basket Quite polished and nice visual style, but I felt the game didn't really work as a puzzle, pretty much all the levels could be solved by just putting yellow launch pads underneath the ball when/whereever it got stuck.
Laser of Doom I survived for 28 seconds by holding the right key down. Not terribly exciting. I liked the way the walls disappeared when the laser crossed them.
Heart Very stylish, I loved the music, the use of color, blurring and effects (though some guys turned upside down with seemed more like a glitch).
However I wouldn't really call it a game.
The Growth Yay, cake!
Not very challenging, but quite enjoyable nonetheless. As mentioned by others, building walls is a bit too finicky.
Defend your castle Kind of fun, but it seemed to have some balancing issues, also you can use walls to block a monster or two at the early levels to get enough time to get a large population and then raise taxes to have pretty much unlimited money for the rest of the game.
Crushing Pressure! Not much of a challenge, it gets boring way faster than it gets hard.
Closing My Eyes Quite bleak. As mjau said, it's more art than game.
The best I could get was two tokens.
empire the wall It has a nice old school look and feel, but without instructions I had no idea what to do or who to play. I tried a few games but gave up on trying to understand it.
doomdoom The physics are kind of fun, but the level generator ruins it in my opinion. Horribly difficult levels are mixed with trivial ones (spawning on a platform just underneath the target thingy). Perhaps pre-made levels would have been better. Even so, it was rather fun.
Peak I managed 4091 years. Much of the game is about being lucky enough to be able wipe out the yellow dots quickly. Only after that step is the game really interesting (IMO).
Pretty nifty.
Wally the Wall Loved the pixelated graphics. Sometimes you can die if you try to U-turn and hit the keys too fast which is quite annoying.
Typo of Doom The music was quite nice. The fact that it has to be launched in a shell for the highscore should be mentioned in a readme or something.
Robo-Jimmy and the Bouncy Adventure of Doom It has a really cool playable menu screen, but there's no game afterwards. :(
As others have said, you should make some levels for a post compo version.
Short Fuse 2: The Escape Fun little game. Quite difficult, it took me forever to get to the end.
Speed Blazer It starts off nicely but gets a bit boring rather quickly. Perhaps if there were a victory condition, say a race to finish or something like that, it would be more fun than just "stay alive as long as possible".
Advance 2 – Aftermath It reminds me of agj's entry, it succeeds wonderfully at setting a mood though excellent use of graphics and sound. But I didn't find it to be fun; it seems to be an art-game with too little focus on the game part.
Hello It's a shame it was so short. Pretty nice nonetheless especially the bird songs and the exit message when you win.
Soverign Wars Neat, but kind of buggy and the controls aren't very friendly.
Humpty Doompty! Neat idea, but it lacks some sort of indicator to show you're making progress.
Save the Sheep Feels like it could be made into a fun game, but I find it too hard as it is. I only managed to get to level 2 before giving up. Props for recording sheep sounds.
Squeeze Maze Cool idea, but it's a bit too easy and the sticky collisions really kill the fun.
Nice audio as well.
Shifter According to the readme the music was made out of compo which is a shame as I rather liked it. As for the rest of the game as others said there isn't much to it other than sitting in a corner since the shifting "wall of doom" moves too fast and randomly to avoid.
Wall Wrecker It's very well executed, but it's still a breakout clone.
Walla Zombies! Very nice intro and nice graphics. Seemed rather easy but quite fun. There's a bug where you can throw a doughnut off screen and it will draw zombies towards it but not disappear.
Flood of Air Better than I expected. The different sounds for better moves was a nice touch.
Run Moron Player animation rocks and the monster looks pretty good too. The gameplay was too simplistic though.
Unnamed Entry I had no idea what I was supposed to do, and when I clicked on a destination after the move dialogue it crashed. I suppose you're using features new in Python 2.6. I should upgrade one of these days.
Ludum Dare #14 It was terribly slow and unresponsive, I had to force quit it as it didn't want to shut down. I couldn't make sense of how to play the game clicking sometimes made blocks disappear and even when the blocks filled the whole screen it went on so there didn't appear to be a lose condition.
Wall I don't know why, but I liked the fact that the wall was a bit messy rather than just a straight black line.
Escape From Hell The graphics were nice (except for the player). I found the sound rather annoying though. As mentioned before sometimes impossible levels are generated and the fact that the player isn't visible when the game starts is a bit annoying. I also liked the frame.
Falling Wall of Doom Sadly I also only got a grey screen.
Diodontidae necandi Beautiful graphics, nice sound, but off theme and not much fun.
My game Trippy graphics :)
Quite basic and sometimes it seems to throw impossible to avoid block combinations at me.
abandon compo release Not really sure what I'm supposed to do, when I collide with squares the bottom number increases and a pleasant sound is heard, when I collide with a rectangle, the top number is increased and an unpleasant sound is heard. If I go too far in either direction I'm alone.
Walled Off Nice journal and food pictures. The cranberry cookies looked delicious as did the peanut butter and Nutella sandwich. On the other hand I'm not much of a fan of vegan pizza. Perhaps the blackberries with the breakfast cereal could have been supplemented with strawberries, but that's just nitpicking.
