Wasn't able to play game even though I had python and pygame installed.

Endurion

Please provide a Windows executable.

Mike_W

I was able to get it to run - the first time I clicked move it crashed and went away

Covenant

I started playing, then I choose one city, selected the number of units to move and then clicked on the destination, and it crashed...
No idea what I was supposed to do, though...

PsySal

Hmn, this game needs instructions! It looks like it's headed somewhere interesting but I couldn't figure it out. It didn't crash or anything though, despite lots of clicking...

5parrowhawk

Runs on my machine. It didn't crash.

But I was able to send units over walls. Odd.

Oh well.

Hmm.. The directory in the zip is called LD13, and the game screen seems to feature roads prominently. Meanwhile, no advancing wall of doom is in sight. Sure you're in the right compo here? =)

Anyway, the game ran here, but I didn't figure out how to actually do anything. I could click on points and get some info, but that's it. Tried clicking other places, dragging between points, pressing keys, nothing seemed to have any effect. I'd guess you didn't have time to implement any actual gameplay, but your journal and 5parrowhawk's comment implies otherwise.. so I guess I'm just dense. Some instructions would've helped perhaps.

I had no idea what I was supposed to do, and when I clicked on a destination after the move dialogue it crashed. I suppose you're using features new in Python 2.6. I should upgrade one of these days.

muku

I get the exact same crash that Covenant does :(

Deepflame

No windows executable.

agj

Lacks executable, so I can't play it.

There just isn't enough gameplay here to make it compelling, and I'm not seeing much of the theme in what there is. :(
