I like the Autofire option!
Is there any reason to not raise the tax? I tried raising it to 100% just to see what would happen, and I just got filthy rich. My reign of terror was unstoppable until the rainbulbs came along and slaugthered everyone. My rockets and soldiers went straight through them =(
The sound disappeared sometimes.
Anyway, it's not amazingly fun, but it's not terrible either. It's ok. =)
Timelapse is a bit long btw.
The barriers never didn't seem to do anything. I still had them put up but they also didn't seem to affect the rainbulbs at all.
I don't like level 6... But otherwise it's kind of fun. The soldiers must be there for a laugh, right? Your randomization seems a little broken since most enemies came in along the four orthogonal directions. And yeah... lesson taken away from this: taxes are best served incredibly high :)
Agreed with everyone else... A bigger game area would be more fun aswell, I think...
Weee liked it! I also beat the rainbulbs...the black dots were way harder (and too hard).
I also had to lower the taxes after I was attacked to get new civilians, so the sliders are useful, at least sometimes.
More usability polish and balancing please :)
I played levels 1-5 with taxes set to 5 percent. Seemed to work pretty well. The black dots were annoying.
...I wonder what that last upgrade does?
Pretty cool, I put too many walls which slowed things down however. Rainbulb ended up beating me, anyhow hehehe. Good job, fun little defend the fort game. Would have liked to see more sound effects, and maybe a larger playing field. Fun, nonetheless.
Kind of fun, but it seemed to have some balancing issues, also you can use walls to block a monster or two at the early levels to get enough time to get a large population and then raise taxes to have pretty much unlimited money for the rest of the game.
It took me a little while to figure out what was going on. I enjoyed it once I got going.
Cool game for the most part, but when I got to level 6, soldiers wouldn't attack the enemies, and missiles didn't hit them. Also, the explosion sound got pretty repetitive since I shot it a lot, really fast :p
Good stuff, impressive amount of gameplay and behaviour for a 48 hour competition.
Ah, I've always sucked at such games...
