LD33 — You are the Monster

I Want To Be The Bully! by Toccio 2015-08-25T11:35:00

Extremely difficult, I couldn't get past 3 or 4 captures before I was hit and the meter was reset completely. I liked the concept, and I liked the F Graded paper transition between games. I don't know if the meter had to be full to get a +1 to size, but I didn't notice any growth. Overall, not a bad game, just extremely difficult !

Monster Trader by Treks 2015-08-25T23:43:00

A great take, would have never thought to be an economic monster. How dare you swindle those poor traders?!

My only criticism is that its possible to buy from a trader and sell directly back to him at a higher price. Besides that, I enjoyed the game immensely!

The Chase by Caracole 2015-08-25T11:14:00

I have to say, this game is a blast! I was immediately drawn into it. I love the simple tutorial being part of the game, you immediately learn all the mechanics right off the bat. The concept of a monsters perception was great, and was implemented well, definitely worth the download. Great job!

Weregoat by bakpakin 2015-08-25T12:08:00

I really liked the graphics! I couldn't figure out what the buttons did, I saw the charge and kick meters but couldn't find the button that controlled them. Finally I stumbled upon the pause menu that explained it. The animation and design of the weregoat was perfect though, and I also liked the cactus and other environmental designs!

Plus, who doesn't like to eat townspeople?

INSIDIAE by FistBumpGames 2015-08-26T01:43:00

Awesome setup and story. A bit lengthy in the rounds between. Great mood and very fun.

Stealth Yeti by cottontrek 2015-08-25T23:57:00

Tough game, but the graphics were slick and the audio well executed. Seemed to be a few points where the game would lag (such as after I was shot while breaking blocks). The lighting was also a nice mechanic. Great game!

A Devil in Disguise by BUNN1E5 2015-08-26T00:19:00

I liked the graphics, there is just something that draws me to 3D characters with no borders. The lighting was well done, I liked the color change. And the pentagram effects were great. I enjoyed it!

Wolfman Kills World Peace with a Vampire Mech III by theBobcatte 2015-08-25T11:20:00

You had me sold with the vampire mech! I liked the floating/attaching head mechanic. I would have liked to have a scoring mechanism (even though death wasn't implemented), just so I could see how well I was doing between play throughs! Not a bad game for the jam though, it had me entertained!

uZombie by HayManMarc 2015-08-25T11:05:00

I liked the direction you were going in! The damage mechanics worked consistently, and a good change between melee and gun-wielding zombies. The menu backgrounds could have used a little more consistency with the rest of the game. Overall, I had fun, nothing quite like beating zombies with a bat!

Monsters...BRAWL! by A-Flat Miner Studios 2015-08-26T01:26:00

Great job guys! Was expecting to use WASD for single player but ended up having to use arrows. Well-thought out directions screen and fantastic art!

Around the Waterfall by incobalt 2015-08-25T11:49:00

I liked the conversations with the slimes, very good humor! I would have liked to have been able to fight with my fellow slimes against the humans, even if it would have been a futile fight. The tiles might have been able to blend a little more with each other, but thats not a big deal. I was teleported to the other side of the game boundary though, that was fun to explore :D

Overall, I see the direction you were headed in, and enjoyed conversing with the slimes!

TANGO by BOSSER 2015-08-25T12:17:00

I am also unable to run the game, I am missing the same 4 dlls as loesch94.

A Meal For The Gods by Code Medicine 2015-08-25T23:20:00

This was great! Took me a playthrow to get the throwing mechanics down, I was trying to fling the mouse too fast. Slow and stead over the rock was the trick. I liked the assets, the lighting was nice, and the audio was perfect for setting the atmosphere. Great job!

You are a monster by Gokul Raj R 2015-08-25T12:27:00

The graphics and animations were good! I liked the variety of people walking around, and the sound effects were amusing. The buttons on the start menu seemed kind of finicky, I had to click off to the left to get them to activate. Overall, it was a fun game though!

Home Wrecker by CurlyFries 2015-08-25T12:14:00

The sound effects were a nice touch! I enjoyed my playthrough, I only wish that there were more villages to eat people in!

Human Complex by Shpuld 2015-08-25T11:57:00

I liked the variety of levels! The art and animation of the bad guys were also really nice. I didn't really get a feel for the "You are the Monster" theme, though. Not a bad stealth game though, I enjoyed my playthrough!

Monster Adventure by pyokoanarogue 2015-08-25T23:33:00

The platforming mechanics were solid on my run through, I didn't experience any of the falling through platforms that others have. All deaths were purely my fault. I liked the retaining abilities on death, that was a nice touch to make a death more bearable. It could have used some music though! Overall I enjoyed it.

LD 33 The monster and your city by 2011petia 2015-08-25T23:26:00

Took me a couple of seconds to realize that I had to stomp the buildings, but once I got that I was having fun! I would have liked to see a scoring system in addition to the health, so I could compare how I did on successive runs. The main monster sprite also had some graphical issues on the sides. I was also kind of dismayed at the fact that I hit an invisible wall on the side, I expected to keep roaming the city forever!

Besides those, it was a fun game for a couple of run throughs. I enjoyed it!

Dead Love by Vidinu 2015-08-26T00:02:00

I liked the graphics, and I like the idea of invading the body of an enemy and using them to attack. I wish there was more content, I seemed to have been stuck in the first room. I had fun though, good work!

The Curse of Koomba by Eldan_Knight 2015-08-26T00:10:00

I liked it, the graphics were great and the platforming was fun. I couldn't figure out a way to stop the magic projectiles. I like the different kinds of enemies. Good weekends work, guys!

Monster is Life by hdong 2015-08-25T23:49:00

I've been meaning to get python on this computer :P This was fun, I always loved choose-your-own-adventure books, and this fits the theme nicely. Some great writing (although not always grammatically correct, ie, "What if the human was not kill."), and it seemed like there was a lot of content!

I enjoyed it!

Business Demon by LeReveur 2015-08-26T01:13:00

Decent concept and funny premise. Could have used a bit more direction.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Xonatiuh by dementor561 2015-12-17T01:29:00

Not sure what the other white squares do, but they're difficult to "collect". Not sure how to finish the game, managed to last for a few minutes on my second play and didn't see any end. The boss patterns and timing are good and solid, though. Not bad.

Sweet Tooth Mouse by markusfisch 2015-12-15T23:13:00

I like the look of it, and can see the 'more food makes the mouse move faster, but eventually it gets fat and moves much slower' mechanic being really cool for a time-based puzzle.

Keep at it!

Utter Chaos! by Jacob123 2015-12-16T01:41:00

It was fun, I liked the particle effects.

Keep running or face your doom! by Anton_D 2015-12-15T23:19:00

I really liked it! The level design was great (and I liked seeing the text files that they are rendered from, really neat to see). The music was also nice. Seemed that there was a few times in which I thought I made a jump over the sludge but died, but thats probably just me being grumpy over my lack of skills. Keep it up!

ICECUBE by Stuntddude 2015-12-15T23:26:00

Great concept, I liked how there was a sort of tutorial level to teach you the gameplay mechanic right off the bat. Only missing music/sound, but great fun without it! Good work!

Seicho Boru by Robert 2015-12-16T00:16:00

Much fun! The models looked great, and katamari-type games are my favorite!

Robot Boxing by Green Lightning 2015-12-16T22:43:00

Controls took a bit to figure out, especially since the 'punchable things' come fast from the start, but pretty neat once I got the high/low idea. Liked the music and audio! Changing rate of movement would be a cool addition - start out slow, speed up the longer the player stays alive.

Frontman by Claire1605 2015-12-16T23:03:00

very nice graphics! 'Growth' theme is a bit tenuous, but still a fun game. Liked the music, sound effects clashed a bit. Didn't initially get that some objects are ok to jump on while others cause damage, but picked it up as I played

Growing Dragon by Erfeo 2015-12-16T22:35:00

Nice way to combine the themes! I liked the shift in control style between forms. Couldn't manage to die or lose (either by getting stuck behind walls or by falling off the bottom of the screen), not sure if that's a bug or if you ran out of time to implement.

Hand of Deity by Ludorverr 2015-12-16T05:30:00

Nice style, sound, animations. Trouble on multiple monitors - mouse kept leaving the window, takes a few seconds to get back into the game. Took a couple tries to realize how to play. Fun once I got into it.

Grow Pandora by Shivur 2015-12-16T01:37:00

It was a fun game. Didn't really follow the growing theme too much though, as it was much more fruitful to just have a single hut and make more units then it was to invest in higher tier buildings.

Defuse Run by dreadzilla 2015-12-15T23:31:00

It was fun, although I kept getting stuck in corners or upside down. Maybe implementing a mechanic where if you don't change position after a couple seconds, it picks up and moves your car so you can continue to play without restarting. It was fun to just drive around though!

Gravity Flip by pvwradtke 2015-12-16T05:18:00

Nice music. The rotation is pretty abrupt, some brief animation would help a lot with keeping the player oriented. The tutorial text blocked the player's view, but it was a good tutorial. Cool entry overall.

Happy Little Flower by Reccy 2015-12-16T23:24:00

First playthrough, red button all the way, haha. Tried a few other ways after that initial customary defiance - I like the multiple endings! Great typeface too. That and the sound gave it a C64-era vibe. Would suggest a skip button so replays can progress a little faster. Probably the most enjoyably unusual game I've played for LD34 so far, nice work.

Snowballin' by Frenchie 2015-12-16T05:57:00

Fun game, but no way to lose plus being forced to roll through several forests kills the challenge. Really enjoy the procedural generation though. Would be really neat if play could continue forever. Nice entry.

Rollin Lemmin by PixelStuff 2015-12-15T23:37:00

Love the look of the graphics, but couldn't get past the first mountain, that fox is just too fast!

MusiChaos by SigmanZero 2015-12-15T23:54:00

Very fast pace, took a while for me to get the muscle memory of orange/blue, but once I got it, it was fun! Good work.

keep it growing by arseneauol 2015-12-16T13:04:00

Loved the art style and music. The bridges being either up or down made it challenging to get past, especially with some of the 'powerups'. I couldn't replay though, on restart my guy wouldn't move forward. I had to quit and reload after each death. My only suggestion would be to have some kind of scoring system, so I could see if I did better or worse on subsequent playthroughs.

Super Kawaii Timeshift Desu by chaomoon 2015-12-16T00:08:00

I loved the mechanic, and the game looked and played great! I liked the thought put into level design, it was fun to go down a path, realize it was the wrong path, and be able to fix the mistake. Great work!

Playing With Fire by sonelliot 2015-12-16T00:23:00

A fun, enjoyable game. Just the right level of challenging, took a few times to get the concept down, but it was fun!

Samurai Cinema by Koda 2015-12-16T22:56:00

Great graphics and audio! Quite original idea, too. Difficult to understand how to play at first. Second time I understood better - though would like keyboard controls (hitting the right items with a trackpad is difficult). Also, maybe some adjustment to the numbers - when characters have 500-900 HP, doing 10-20 damage per turn leads to long fights

Fat Cat: Cosmo's Quest by PickleCrew 2015-12-16T05:38:00

Cat games unite! This was fun. The music gets repetitive and the early levels can drag on as you wait for a match to happen. But the later levels are a fun challenge. Nice one!

Personal Growth by Maniac 2015-12-16T23:11:00

Minigames were fun and well-implemented. Do you have to fully complete the first day? (Asking since I could only 'finish' on the second, despite wanting to tell my boss to go get stuffed.) Audio was a little grating. Overall, interesting and fun twist on the theme!
