Hey, I played the game and here are my thoughts. It well done visually, adding the cutscenes is a very good idea, but I think this influenced the quality of the game. First of all the size is too big (ok, maybe that was intentional) and even with instructions I was frustrated about what I should do. The sprites respond too slow to clicking the mouse, and I couldn't get into the mind of the smallest lizard because of that (or, that's not supposed to happen?) Maybe you should have payed more attention to the gameplay than graphics: for now there's no competition in the game and no visible aim to play it. Maybe you could explain a bit more, if I was wrong somewhere in my critics. Hope you work on this project more in the future
That is some David Lynch thing going on in the game
Love the mechanics, the graphics and the hardcore :)
Awwww, so cute! You should totally make a longer one! With different doggo adventures!
I like character design and especially monster design. And the plot twist in the end! :) I stumbled upon on little problem though - at Stones location, a monster can block the way if you killed him there, so you have to wait for him to wake up and move. I thought that it would be more logical to kill monsters, not to knock them down. And it's unfair: bats are killed, monsters are just out. Bats lives matter too :bat:
I enjoyed this game a lot!
A really fun game!
When one looks at such a nice screenshot he|she automatically has high expectations. Unfortunately the reality didn't meet mine. I hope the author will find this critic helpful for future projects or for improvement in this one. 1) The movement is not synchronized. When I push the button the heroine starts moving before her legs start moving. The same goes for the jump. 2) The gameplay and keys are not intuitive. After picking the key I walked to the gate and tried to search for the right key on the keyboard to push for the gate to open. Only once I found the right gate I realised it opens automatically. 3) The ninjas are impossible to fight, too quick. 4) It would be nice if there was at least some sound: for that you can record the sounds of nature and that would be effortless yet suitable. 5) No menu or "game over" screen makes the game frustrating, these components make the game cohesive, and it's worth to spend some time on them.
Overall, I think this project can be finished in the future and would make a nice game.
I could not check this game and rate in most categories, because controller is needed. Versatility is very important for games.
I will definitely play it more. Best of luck to the author!
Don't know, why you outed yourself of the Audio category, but it's amazing and hilarious. I like this game!
This game is very atmospheric and I like the mechanics. I would be cool to add some levels and more features though. But for the 48 hours It's a nice polished project.
I like this game! The only thing, that bothered me a bit was that it's hard to smash the enemies :)
Hello! I played the game, and I think it's a nice start! It can be used as a base for a future project and I hope it becomes a full game. It has many pros: the gameplay, audio, overall nice atmosphere. As for cons: a felt like the butterfly moved too slow and it was hard to control when playing the screen-scrolling parts of the game. And also a little extra features for the gameplay would be great.
THIS IS MY FAVORITE GAME OF THIS JAM! Such a nice job!
*When I saved the boy, and he started jumping, his mom said "Oh God Why"*
Very good game with quiet a fresh concept and nice graphics and audio! Keep up the good work!
Well, that was a strange experience  But overall I think you did a nice job. I think, this game needs more storyline, because it's not obvious, that you touch upon such topics as depression and anxiety etc in this game. I like the black and white graphics, but the static objects were blurry and that wasn't pleasing to look at. I think you should try to make a polished project on this basis, overall nice job!
@weaverdeveloper
Thank you for critics! The fox appears randomly during the game. And may not appear at all :)
I managed to become a survivor by just making games and watching movies in comfy clothes and sleeping. Well, not far from reality! :relaxed: Good job!
A nice puzzle game! I think if you polish it a bit more it could be a good project for mobile devices, for example. I would recommend changing the fonts for the computer version of the game, because it's too large and wide and so hard to read on a big screen.
Nailed the game, because I have keys missing on my msi laptop :P Jokes aside, this game is very good, I enjoyed it. Maybe adding a bit fatal errors for missing the correct keys or not being able to put the detached key in time would be even better, but for 72 hours this game looks good and cohesive.
Well, that was unexpected, but very fun! :)
