Nice game. The portal mechanic is fun! I enjoyed the dimension switching mechanic, and the controls felt responsive.

Controls are responsive and the overall gameplay feel really good. A shame it is so short.

lavialee 2021-04-27 20:09

Interesting mechanic, I whish it was explored more in depth, right now It's very short, but still very sweet!

boxedmeatrevolution 2021-04-27 20:09

This game looks nice and I like the mechanic! I was hoping there would be more levels, but it brought me back to the title screen after level 2. An expanded version of this game with more levels, and more dimensions within the levels, would be cool!

xeke-death 2021-04-27 20:09

Good puzzle idea. Lots of room to expand upon. Good work

jlmast 2021-04-27 20:13

I liked the portal mechanics, it's a cool idea. Two levels is too short, I would have gladly played longer to your game, with new maps, etc! Fun!

cal 2021-04-27 20:14

Very great take on the theme and game mechanic. The look is nicely polished and everything works well :) Constructive feedback I would give would be that the puzzle-element of it could have been more complex

tim4 2021-04-27 20:14

I engoyed interdimensional transfers, great idea)

trei 2021-04-27 20:15

The concept for this game is great. Seems like it could be a great puzzle platformer with a bit more fleshing out.

kelvination 2021-04-27 20:15

Cool concept, really short but a really innovative idea. Enjoyed the music and the art too. Well done.

jasontherand 2021-04-27 20:15

The graphics and sound were so cute! I really enjoyed the game, I wish there were more levels!

sanemsky 2021-04-27 20:16

great idea having multiple layers. cute character. I wished there were more levels though I understand it's a jam, we all have a little time. Good job.

joris-valette 2021-04-27 20:16

The character is so cute when it jumps \o/

Pretty cool mechanics, maybe a visual hint (like a different background color) would have helped to know which dimension you're currently playing.

With a more profound story and more levels I would definitely try again!

maximegammaitoni 2021-04-27 20:16

nice little game with good mechanic, feedbacks and level design are clear. Bravo l'équipe !

quinn-patrick 2021-04-27 20:17

It seems like the deadline snuck up on you here, which is a pity, 'cause the premise is so interesting! I was looking forward to seeing the concepts develop over several levels, but it seems that it wasn't meant to be. Oh well.

aflatthrasher 2021-04-27 20:17

It's always a credit to the creators when I'm playing a game and disappointed when it ends. Very well done, controls were responsive, puzzles were good for "beginning of the game" levels. I think that if you had had more time, you could have had more complex puzzles, but that's what happens sometimes with limited-time events like this. Still, I enjoyed it a lot.

vknauss 2021-04-27 20:17

I thought it was fun and the dimension switching mechanic was clever! It's a small game but seem like you polished what you have pretty nicely.

andreadbx 2021-04-27 20:18

Very nice and original idea, the main character is incredibly cute! Good Job!

yamzho 2021-04-27 20:18

Nice game idea to be developped !

tomh1 2021-04-27 20:19

Nice idea! It was a little bit confusing what to do at first but got the hang of it eventually. Platforming feels pretty good as well!

jaybaus 2021-04-27 20:20

Well that was adorable :) Love the art style, the music and the sound effects. Nice job!

romanempire 2021-04-27 20:22

Looks good and feels good to play. While the graphics could use some more variety, they do their job and look good as they are. I like the dimensions mechanic, and I can see some very cool puzzles being made with it. Together with an original interpretation of the theme, a good entry, with great potential for expanding.

zettelkasten 2021-04-27 20:22

very promising idea and nicely polished! nicely done, i also wish there were more levels! i think it would become very interesting if the swap mechanic would lead to less one-dimensional gameplay. good job!

yetrecalllaw 2021-04-27 20:24

A good platform-puzzler with smooth controls. I enjoyed the different dimensions, including the 'dark' one. It would be nice to see some indicator for what dimension you're on and where you can move on that axis.

erkberg 2021-04-27 20:27

Cuteness is certainly over 9000! Art and audio are just adorable! The gameplay works quite well too, was wishing for a bit more content. At least one more level that actually has more than two dimensions (and thus a bit more of a puzzly character) would've been great. Really enjoyed this short romp nonetheless, good job!

matif100 2021-04-27 20:29

Pretty nice, i really like the idea of puzzles split into different dimensions with different rules in some of them. Really nice idea :D

clevraven 2021-04-27 20:30

Very nice idea with the dimension swapping. I can see it expanding into further additional dimensions, and have your position in 1 dimension affect your position in others.

The sound design was good, and fit with the movements and the overall feel of the game. You nail is the mood of a platformer.

With a little more time, it would be interesting to see where this idea can be taken to.

snip-man 2021-04-28 01:40

That jump animation was so unexpected. I loved every moment of this game :)

chimp 2021-04-28 18:34

Good game, quite short but overall would be a nice platformer. I would've liked to have the player's collider to a box collider/ freeze it's z-rotation so as to avoid slipping off the edge of the ground. Well done

makkurataichou 2021-04-29 04:15

I really loved this concept and the mechanics and wish there was more!! The gameplay felt nice and simple and responsive, and the first level was a great tutorial while the second had a really cool taste of some mechanics to come in the future maybe? :eyes: amazing job!!

kr4ft3r 2021-04-29 20:26

Well I honestly wanted to play more, which is a good thing. Also the main character is adorable.

millingmadly 2021-04-29 21:15

Cute game, solid controls, and I like the implementation of the theme! Would like to see more levels!

sirred 2021-04-29 22:29

Good platform controls that felt solid. Wish there was more levels that explored the mechanics more.

ismael-rodriguez 2021-05-01 22:13

Cute little game. The dimension switch was interesting, I think there should something to tell you which dimension you're in as they look similar (maybe sky color or different tile-sets?). The character is very cute, and the jumping feels good. Not sure if the stars did anything other than keep count, but they're all just there and don't seem to require any extra challenge. I think you could have done a little bit more with the mechanics you have, but it's still a good entry. Good job.

tarcisiotm 2021-05-02 02:35

Hi, everyone. Thanks for playing our game!

Sadly this entry was a bit of a classic game jam situation: we just took too long to "find" the game. Once we did, though, we got the systemsin place, we could have done any number of dimensions, but we basically had no time left for level design, UI improvements, etc. We managed to make the second level one our before the deadline. But this was so much fun!

We really appreciate all the comments mentioning desire to play for more. We might keep working on this and see where it will take us.

omiya-games 2021-05-07 02:40

Daw, the game was over as soon as something interesting emerged on the second level. I actually enjoyed this a bit: there's a lot of really cool things you can do with dimension swapping. I really liked that the game stored your prior in-game position when you return to said dimension.

There were a lot of design decisions I thought were really bizarre given the current lack of content, and certainly would be interested in learning what sort ideas you all had in expanding this. For example, I thought it was unusual despite there only being two dimensions, two different buttons were dedicated to swapping between them. Were more dimensions planned? Perhaps a HUD indicating which dimension you're in would help emphasize that? It would also be interesting to add elements that affected both dimensions as well.

Lots of interesting potential here. Just a shame it ended so quickly.

tarcisiotm 2021-05-07 16:45

@omiya-games thanks for the feedback!

Sadly we ran out of time. The system supported N dimensions, but we just weren't able to create them in time.

We also weren't able make cosmetic changes between the dimensions within the deadline, as mentioned by @ismael-rodriguez, or add a HUD indicator. Those were things we really wanted to do, but we might actually keep working to make this into a proper prototype and see where it goes.
