I got stuck on the spike area where you're introduced to the right-click ability. However I am not sure if I'm meant to use that ability to get pass the spikes; the right click ability seems to add a linear force downwards so when I try double jumping across and then use the ability, I'm moving towards the spikes instead.
I like the art work, it's not every day you play as a nacho dip. Other people have already mentioned the controls so I won't mention that. Would've liked to see a UI for me health to indicate how much health I have remaining. Also maybe some bullets being visible would've been a nice addition. With shooting being assigned to the mouse button, I was expecting some kind of crosshair. Not sure if you're aware but when the red enemies chases after you, the character looks in the opposite direction.
Good effort!
Good game, quite short but overall would be a nice platformer. I would've liked to have the player's collider to a box collider/ freeze it's z-rotation so as to avoid slipping off the edge of the ground. Well done
It is unfortunate that you ran out of time, the concept of jumping between enemies sounded really interesting. It would've been nice if other parts of the game had been finished, such as taking damage from the robots, so that there's a bit more to the game to play.
Good effort
That music in the beginning is stuck in my head now. Other than that, this is a very polished game, you could probably publish this on the app market as it is. Well done
Very atmospheric mood and the visuals are really nice. Definetely an simple exploration game which I don't really play a lot of. I managed to get all upgrades but was a little lost about finding alien technology. Eventually I found the end and completed the game. It could do with a bit more stuff to do; maybe some lore text, but overall I quite enjoyed the aesthetic of the game.
Well done
Interesting idea, it was a bit hard to read the text at some points. So even though I read the description saying to allow NPC into heave if they have more good deeds, I kept sending a few to hell because they burned a baby alive; basically I thought the serisousness of the deed mattered when it doesn't, so probably made that a bit clearer
Overall, I actually enjoyed the game. The art style is good, some weird looking faces were generated; seeing ones with the big cutesy eyes on a bald was funny to look at. Good job
Really fun metroidvania style game. I think you could've had each of the abilities for purchase as upgrades that you unlock when you explore different parts of the map rather than having them as items your buy from the shop. That would probably require more time to implement so it's good as it is.
The art style is pretty cool. I did like how each of the map has a sort of color palette scheme, giving a different vibe per map. Maybe a variert of enemies would also enhance the map variety.
Good game, well done
I don't play a lot of puzzle games but the mechanics used here is quite novel (I haven't come across anything similar before). I've managed to reach up to leevl 12 and still scratching my head around it.
Didn't realise the game had any audio until I read through the comments; default audio slider setting had the music muted even though it looked as though it should be playing. Sliding it a bit higher, I was able to hear the music, an nice calming loop although until it finishes playing
If I were to point out an area for improvement (I'm realy nit picking here, the game is really good given the time frame it was made in) would probably to work on the player sprite and UI buttons a bit more so that it's a bit more consistent with the whole underwater theme.
Overall, it's a good entry, well done.
Really liked the grungy mood and setting that was being conveyed here, and the music adds the to mood. Game is really simple and short. I got confused with what I thought to be coins, was actually sprites for the plastic bag. Overall a nicely polished short game
Definetely a game where I'd need to make sure that I have some spare time. It's a an interesting game that tickles the resource gathering part of my brain. By the third or fourth day I managed to get about 100k because gold skyrocketed in price
I wasn't aware that some of the calls were taking money. With the exception of certain prices rises, others I weren't sure what the effects were i.e. police donation or giving staff meals although I might've missed something during the newspaper transition.
Overall, very good game, well done
The drilling noise was really satisfying to hear once you get a couple of the speed upgrades. Around the halfway mark, I ended digging everything. Not quite sure if that was the way to go but I ended up with $73,319.
Interesting how you moulded the LD theme and implemented elements of minesweeper. The game screen was quite big on my monitor. I've gone through a couple rounds of this, eventually managed to beat all 3 levels. Having the number for the mine's distance added a bit of suspense when I played through it. Wish there was a bit more levels, overall a fun game
I dont' play rhythm games a lot beause I just can't get the timing right and lost all coordination. The first few levels were alright. The 3rd and final level were the tricky ones for me, it didn't seem like the notes scrolling were in time with the beat. I wasn't able to pay attention to much of the animation since I was focusing too much on the incoming notes. They were a bit too fast for me; last level I had to put the volume down very low to just barely audible levels
What artwork I was able to see is really good, and the music is fantastic... Don't suppose you have a Soundcloud for the last track? Would like to enjoy listening to it without worrying about inputting the right keys.
Overall I enjoyed the game, good job!
Really well polished game, really like the aesthetics. It's a little awkward having you click and drag to move the magnifier around and pressing F, but once you get use to that it's a good looking game
