Apr 30 19:59:42 It's Cargo Time! ♥ 1 Very fun! Loved the little engine noise - the truck controls very well, and the style is clean and agreeable. The little thrown boxes and newspapers are so cute. Also, loved the secret strat - jamming the truck through an alley! Well done
May 1 01:37:32 5h 37m PRECIOUS CARGO (and some aliens trying to steal it from you) ♥ 2 I loved this! Innovative idea, adorable little pixel art - and surprisingly deep interplay between the aliens attacking the truck, or attacking my defenses. Also - the fact you were able to add little flora and fauna to flesh out the world - so fun! Nothing beats little retro dudes crawling around the screen! Other things I enjoyed: * Transitions, animations, and UI were all very polished * The silly level titles :D * Felt well balanced - an almost impossible feat for a game jam - though I was unable to get to the later unlocks All that polish, in compo, with no engine - insane. I almost don't even want to comment on that, lol. You mad lad. Excellently done! You should be very proud Also - love your vids! Very happy to see you checked out ldjam. Hope it was fun!
May 1 18:59:04 17h 21m Fertility Island ♥ 2 What a fun game! Love the ebb-and-flow between gently floating above the quaint village - to dive-bomb the infant into the ground! Creates a very fun gameplay loop - that somehow manages to be cozy and relaxing, but punctuated by moments of intense challenge. Really glad you went with the soft ukulele and wing flapping noises when locating a house - very pleasant mood. Enjoyable to just live like a bird for a moment. Also - the baby whining when you 'lose' crack me up. And your instructions / itch page look fantastic! Super polished Overall - you did a fantastic job, a truly wonderful entry. Excellent work!
May 1 19:09:47 10m 43s Signs of Corruption ♥ 1 I love this vibe! I can't attest to understand the mechanics well - but I think I enjoy that. A bit of mist, strange, dark dealings in the night, not knowing what strengths I wield - I think it fits the mood of the game very well. Makes me believe I am tinkering with some old and forgotten DOS game - which may hold bizarre powers untold. Love the audio, the graphics style serves this type of game very well, and the use of runes for usernames is a very creative touch! Well done
May 1 19:18:35 8m 48s Watching ♥ 0 Same issue: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Main has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 55.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 52.0 I'm using Windows 10, Java 8. Hopefully that helps? java.png
May 1 19:29:40 11m 05s Human Delivery ♥ 2 Oh my gosh - this game feels AMAZING! The controls are so satisfying - throwing the wheel to 3-point turn, fishtailing when zipping around a corner, playing chicken with the cops - so slippery and fun. Very glad you gave us the 1st deliver to explore the controls, so much fun just to toy with and get the hang of. There is also an interesting element of sussing out more info from the arrow - watching quickly it changes, to get a grasp of how close you are, or if you might be 1 more block off. I only wish it were harder - the cops mostly left me alone, but I liked the few moments the put up chase. I can tell you had a lot of fun with the concept, the writing, and the post-processing too. Very well done!
May 1 19:41:17 11m 37s And now what ? ♥ 2 This game is so dear to me! I am absolutely drooling over the art style - I want to visit this world so badly. The gentle, impressionistic shading, the lovely aging architecture, and the little hints at world building through our outfit, and through the enemies. There is so much to love: * Our adorable intrepid character! * The rhythmic sway of the camera as you walk across each plot * The soft shadows below the boxes * The warm glow and flicker of the sign * the box-building's sign being a little hint * How you give depth to the buildings with repetition - looking through the windows is so satisfying! * The gratitude of the stones * The clean backgrounds, and consistent color pallet * The enemies are so imposing and so juicy - such a well thought out design! heart.png ;) I played it through several times just to savor the sights and the music. You draw all this in <48 hours??? You are truly an artist!
May 1 19:49:29 8m 12s Delivery Boy Island ♥ 0 Very cool! A fun little mix of a classic platformer, and with some very cool ideas. I like the random placement of objects, and the enemy variety is phenomenal - especially the little spiked animals, very elegant design, communicating their 'twist' clearly. Of course, very jam game has a few rough edges, and I wasn't quite able to finish - but I enjoyed my time with this game! Also, I spent longer than I'd like to admit just staring at this sinister fellah, haha: bear.png Love their design Also the music is an absolute banger! Well done.
May 1 20:05:15 15m 46s The Simple Life: Expedited Edition ♥ 1 This game is such a joy! I was open-mouth guffawing the whole time. Fishtailing through the pumpkins - backwards, doing donuts in the cabbage patch, petal-to-the-metal carving my way through the farm. 'Simple Life' indeed! So glad to have a reset button, more than once I torpedoed myself out of bounds. A hard days work to deliver 4 crops lol. Deeply enjoyable, well done. Also! Can I ask, what did you set Unity's build resolution to? - the [embedding guide](https://ludumdare.com/resources/guides/embedding/) recommends "948x533" - but with the WebGL border thing, mine seems to be a few pixels off, even after trying to shrink it a bit. You seem to have gotten it perfect - what did you use? Thanks!
May 1 20:08:46 3m 31s Jitto ♥ 1 A cute little enjoyable game. Happy to see such a loving reference to monochrome hand-helds, truly fits that genre perfectly. The splash screen is a great touch! A nice idea, well executed. Well done!
May 1 20:24:14 15m 28s DreamLoom ♥ 3 Wow! What an interesting approach. There are some genius ideas in here: * Offsetting the rows, as alternating patterns are common, and the buttons are closer together to press * The oh-so satisfying click with every row * the gentle, soaring audio Love the generated backgrounds - fits the theme perfectly, very atmospheric, great choice. I can't imagine how you coded the vertical strands - hats off to you, I know it had to be a mind-bender. This game nestles into its niche so well, I could see it being an every-day relaxer for those who 'click' with it. I couldn't believe you had made this so quickly - I looked it up to be certain! Highly impressive. Incredibly well though out, and beautifully excecated. You should be very proud!
May 1 20:28:31 4m 17s Package Sorter ♥ 1 Very fun idea! I can feel the stress of this little sorting robot, trapped in the hot, noise room, as bags of trash and precious cargo flys past on the conveyer. A nice little game loop, very easy to pick up. Can be tough, tiring to slide-back in time for those red-packages - those made up the bulk of my mistakes. But I definitely had fun! Well done!
May 1 20:33:08 4m 37s Before Birth ♥ 1 Haha a very silly idea - but surprisingly well made. Definitely has all the trappings I would expect from a cookie clicker, which makes it all the more funny when considering the 'beautiful creation of human life'. A very funny - and high effort - joke, which I always appreciate. Well done!
May 1 20:45:26 12m 18s That one time I became Merlin's apprentice and was tasked with destroying his... ♥ 3 Wow the models and level are jaw-dropping! Amazing job - the characters especially are oozing with character and polish! The butt-crack on the ogre, the idle searching of the blunderbuss-goblin, and even the targeting reticle are all so lovingly crafted. So funny watching these precious items zip around me frantically as I battle it out. The lore is hilarious to! As others said the feedback and combat mechanics could use some work, but I greatly seeing this lovely little dungeon!
May 1 20:50:33 5m 07s BeWarehouse ♥ 2 Mmmm the sfx, outlines, background - all so juicy and satisfying. Could definitely get pretty frantic, trying to juggle packages, but it was great fun for the short runs that I had. I wonder if increasing the 'hitbox' for the packages, making them easier to grab, might allow me to squeak by a little longer. Looks so fantastic - definitely makes me want to try the pixel camera in unity. Easy to learn, hard to master - an ideal game concept, very well made - and I laughed heartily the first time I dropped a mailbox 'package'. Also - such a good name!
May 2 00:07:05 3h 16m Ultimate Package ♥ 6 The level of polish - between the into animations, the slow roll out of dialogue, and the wonderfully rendered backgrounds - *chefs kiss* I love this style of pixel art - so plucky, and easily readable. And the music is an absolute jam. It exudes humor on all fronts - from the lore, to the NPCs, to the enemies. I love how the boxes come spilling out, jumping over top of each-other, trying to kill you. Ravenous! Very fun, well done!
May 2 00:15:22 8m 17s The Silver Fleet ♥ 1 So cute! I love this! I really enjoyed the art style - spunky, cartoonish, and it reads very well! Between the swell of the ocean and the cannon smoke - it really does create an adventurous feel! Watching blackbeard tumble off into the ocean brought a big smile to my face. And the ghost-ship twist! So fun! I really like how the rope-swing and ball-jumps were telegraphed with the arrows - very well done. Excellent job!
May 2 00:19:02 3m 40s Delivery Champ ♥ 3 Very fun! A punchy, easily understood, and quite satisfying game. Very silly idea - 'hyper-realistic' indeed! Surprisingly addictive, trying to optimize my route between patients, and lock down a rhythm to accurately pull the correct direction. Between the sfx, the particles, and the color palette - this game is very juicy! It feels fantastic to play. Great job!
May 2 00:25:42 6m 40s The Mailman ♥ 2 What a well-crafted game! So many nice touches! The font choice, the enemy variety, the little doggie halos - so much fun! Lore was cute, and the title screen gave me a good chuckle. I'm shocked this was compo! Very well polished, and a joy to play. Thanks!
May 2 01:10:43 45m 01s 30 Minutes Or Your Potion's Free ♥ 2 Absolutely adore this game - deeply impressed with how balanced you were able to make it, and in such short time. A friend and I worked together to craft the perfect deck to defeat the king, allowing us to explore several mechanics and engross ourselves in this well polished gem of a game. Excellent work! You should be very proud!
May 2 17:52:35 16h 41m Postal Town ♥ 2 Wow - the polish here is breathtaking. I am having a hard time finding words - truly award winning entry here. I played several times, just to sink into the beautiful, soft aesthetic you have so perfectly crafted here. So many wonderful touches - each asset was so lovingly rendered with a consistent, tactile feel - everything from the score icons to the background envelopes just exhales a sense of comfort. Puts me right back to the release of New Horizons. Also, you managed to take the classic graph-solving mindset and turn it into a relaxing and fully-engaging game loop - a total act of game design wizardy to make something so familiar and 'banal' into such a charming experience. I will definitly be showing this game to friends, and only wish I could poke about the source code myself. I can already tell I will be inspired by this game in the future, and count myself lucky to have played it!
May 2 17:59:27 6m 52s Watching Eyes ♥ 4 So much to love here! The UI design, the city layout, and the consistent color pallet gave a very strong aesthetic. The map reminds me of 'Big City' from GMOD - if anyone is familiar. I had good fun just zipping through the buildings and exploring the limits of my range. I very much enjoyed the quick battle I had with the illegal delivery drone - I wish there were more! Perhaps an indicator to chase them around. Very well done! I love seeing games like this with a unique approach to movement, and a clear visual style. Great work!
May 2 18:07:57 8m 30s Lonely Train ♥ 2 Very interesting! I like the sudden twist there between two totally different game modes. Cool idea! Reminds me of 'Oregon Trail' - always like having to make those tough choices, juggling resources - and never quite knowing what is coming up next. The art here is phenomenal, and so much unique work too - you must be an incredibly swift and proficient artist! Very ambitious for a jam game! Well done!
May 2 18:26:10 18m 13s DETOUR ♥ 2 I am absolutely in love with this game design. It must have been such a struggle to get the rope-coding working correctly - but it performs perfectly, is very satisfying to use, and sets up some wonderfully engaging scenarios. I can't gush enough about how much I adore the puzzle design here. Good puzzles are so time consuming, and nearly impossible for jam games, but yours feel so well crafted - you truly have a talent! The way the wire pins to corners, allowing the player to only have to reason about a handful of angles at once, allowing them to solve the problem one step at a time - it just works so gosh-darn well. And the addition of the few agility-based elements? I loved every second of it. Also - On the home screen - I recognize that friendly face! Love his design - traded his rose in for a deliver box! And the confetti and end screen were such adorable touches too. The backgrounds are so wonderful to look at - such an excellent choice, providing a bit of a reference for the player to compare their lines and angles too. And the music is a total groove too! Truly innovative - fantastic work!
May 2 18:41:37 15m 27s PARCEL ROCKET ♥ 1 A very challenging, but very engaging game! I can't imagine how tough it must have been to perfect the thrust, weight, etc. Very fun just to zip around on the drone - shocked you were able to add such depth in such a short amount of time! Combat was thrilling, delivering the gold was precise and satisficing, and the thrust sounds and effects were so powerful and juicy. Though I wasn't able to get far, I really enjoyed my time. Thanks!
May 2 18:46:24 4m 47s FORMIDULOSUS partus ♥ 1 Very cool aesthetic! You pulled off that sense of retro unease very well. Reminds me very much of the creator 'Kitty Horrorshow'. Well done!
May 2 18:57:17 10m 53s earthmover ♥ 1 Very nice! I'm personally not a fan of the 'rolling-cube' puzzles, but I did love your twist of adding the extendable feet - and I absolutely adore the world you created. Beautiful, serene, funny, and totally unique. I loved your water effect especially! I will definitely have to check out that mat/shader. Shocked this was a compo game - your art and audio and writing really came together to present such a wonderful little slice of life.
May 2 21:12:33 2h 15m The Curse of Sentience as a Delivery Box ♥ 2 Very cute! The models, lighting, and perspective of the game make a fantastic, cozy, diegetic experience. I liked that every physics puzzle was unique, and would be very interested to see what you could do with more time. Well done!
May 2 21:31:35 19m 02s Shattered Reflections ♥ 1 Very cool! Loved the ending. The art is exceptionally charming - the little curl in our protagonists hair being mirrored on her shoes was my favorite touch. A lovely short story with beautiful visuals and a nice soundtrack to boot! Well done!
May 2 21:36:06 4m 31s The 50 Deliveries ♥ 1 Very cool! A bit of a spooky vibe fits this game well - jogging through the streets, trying to make all my deliveries. I really like the addition of using arrow keys for different items - a nice bit of gameplay, and keeps the player engaged trying to look at hazards ahead, while properly timing the fish-toss. Each piece of art is individually very well polished, and together they make the perfect endless suburb. (Almost liminal). Great job!
May 2 21:45:40 9m 34s Baby Delivery Service ♥ 1 Awesome! Very fun little game. Loved the music, such a great tune, and the pixel art for our stork and babies was so fun and cute. I did see the same bug others mentioned - but no matter, it is fun regardless. stork.png Can I ask, you mention OpenStreetMap (with Blender) for the houses - I'm very interested in how so? Overall, good work! I found it very charming!
May 2 23:45:37 1h 59m Purrfect Delivery ♥ 11 This game is incredible! A fast paced little puzzler wrapped in some of the most adorable, cleanest art I've seen. I could gush for hours about the vibes on offer - absolute top tier. Noting beats the off-kilter aesthetics of rainbow vista. And I love your sense of humor - "Best streamer is online" fuggen sent me for some reason. And the 'crashed' symbol - equal parts hilarious and adorable. Just looking at the itch page alone is a total joy - what I wouldn't give to have a little programmer cat icon. Absolutely amazing entry, I enjoyed every second of it. An absolute blast! Clearly a powerhouse of a team - you should all be proud!
May 3 02:02:58 2h 17m Delivery! NYC ♥ 4 This game is a riot haha - the sheer insanity of torpedoing my way across city streets with a cartwheeling train putting up chase - absolutely love it. Also, I'm a sucker for any game with grappling hooks - I love how you get a vertical boost on the first grapple, feels very nice. Excellent work!
May 3 18:03:20 16h 00m Eggs Delivery ♥ 1 Haha very fun! I love that the chickens produce different amounts - that top right hen is an absolute firehose! Very well done
May 3 18:12:59 9m 39s Terror in transit ♥ 1 Wow, this is crazy ambitious! The voice work, the visuals, the mechanics, the level design - I didn't think such a deep game could be made in a weekend! I really like the drone view idea - I wish I had more opportunities to use it, it worked well, and just felt cool to operate. I had a lot of fun, switching between short sprints, and tense moments peeking behind the curtains. Well done!
May 3 18:19:41 6m 42s Dave's Pizzas ♥ 1 The details here are so satisfying! The crunches as your fender drags along the hard sand, the sproingy glowing pizza icon, the humble shrugging grin from the downtrodden folk we deliver to - all if packs a punch! Something so dystopian and yet so heartwarming about a minimum wage driver trying his best to meet impossible standards - while literally every other element of society has collapsed. The game feels amazing - there is so much joy in bounding over the gentle hills and wrangling our sloppy little vehicle to skid-out infront of the shop, hurriedly load in some zaah, and race off to the next customer. I'm sure you could tinker with the physics endlessly trying to get the truck to feel just right - but I like it a little off-kilter. Really amazing entry, I kept coming back for more!
May 3 18:40:32 20m 51s RUCHKI ♥ 2 I absolute adore the aesthetics of this game! The clean, melancholic, charmed look of this world was an absolute treat for the eye. I am envious of your 2d art skills - and your dedication to such a strong visual language. The three color scheme never looked so stunning! The controls are so innovative - and pose alot of interesting problem solving to the user. The agency being separated from the camera, the hands continuing to move and swing even without my 'possessing' them, and the springy, uncontrollable nature of each toss encouraging the player to 'catch' each throw - rather than letting the letter land. Really innovative gameplay, I was super happy to see such a unique approach. And the audio is 1st class - the sfx were delightful, and I could listen to that soundtrack all day I was only able to beat the first level, and after much effort - even without any hearts. However, I greatly enjoyed the game, and would love to see it developed further.
May 3 20:53:52 2h 13m Sorting Center Savant ♥ 1 I had a ton of fun with this! Maybe the game I've spent the most time with. Love to see GameMakersToolkit referenced here - it shows! The puzzle design is excellent. Level 6 was, in my option, by far the hardest puzzle - not from complexity, but because I was not fully introduced to the 'shielding' mechanic, and the decoy bin was more confusing because you had not used 'fake' components so far in your design. But predominantly each puzzle rewarding, well thought-out, and fun! The assets are very well made - clear and readable. And each mechanic performs beautifully! Not a single bug, despite how complex the interactions can be. Really excellent work!
May 3 21:23:12 29m 20s Planet Quest ♥ 1 Ahhh such a refreshing entry! Well balanced, polished, a feast for the eyes, and a complete, succinct experience! So much love clearly went into this project - I adored all the enemy designs, and had a tremendously fun time learning each of my tools, and deploying them in just the right orientation to form an impressive bullwark. \- of course, until my capitalist masters left me for dead, that is! Right at the end, that epic flood of enemies was just barley what I was able to keep up with, giving me the joy of calling successive laser sweeps and a satisfying hail of misses to decimate their numbers. The perfect amount of challenge for our final showdown! Using the 'deliver time' as a core aspect of the difficulty was a genius idea, and shows what a strength the theme can be when considered carefully - excellent work there. And the color pallet can't be praised highly enough - it gives such a distinct, harrowing beauty to this game that perfectly fits the themes and pace of gameplay. Zipping up to the mothership, leaving the gentle pastel hills and atmospheric music below, and witnessing the industrial, grating might of the corporation that sent me - it just works wonderfully to deliver that emotional impact. "Who is the _real_ enemy", as they say. Astonished to see this was 'compo'. A brilliant entry! I enjoyed every moment of it. You should be very proud!
May 3 21:33:48 10m 36s Drop Dead Delivery ♥ 0 This was such a cool entry - I really liked the interplay between the limited ammo, and using the melee to give myself space. A stunning amount of mechanics for a jam game - between the defensive rolls, the upgrade system, and the 'capture point' deliveries - they all blend together to make a great experience! Love the vibes - that creepy ps1 style mixed worked so well with the stretched faces, a very cool effect. It was very enjoyable just dashing about that map, getting to explore the little areas. There were some cool encounters at the choke points, or when you could roll into a ditch, then had to navigate your way back out. And that stereo audio slaps! That kick drum has some real punch, love it! Excellent job with this!
May 3 21:39:33 5m 45s Same-Day Delivery ♥ 1 What a fun little entry! I can definitely see a delivery man taking his double-barrel to 'get his job back'. I had fun making my way around this little liminal slice of suburbia, admiring the textures, and taking out those poor little delivery pups, haha. Visual style is consistent, and the game-loop enjoyable. But especially... The music goes so hard!! This is [you](https://open.spotify.com/track/5lsSHzjyPrHU56JxGO6IRn?si=42f61263f8c14798) on Spotify, yes? New follower, for sure! Absolute bangers, love it.
May 3 21:53:43 14m 10s Last Supper Shuffle ♥ 1 Great work here! A very interesting take on 'delivery' - one I am glad to see. I enjoyed just picking up your excellently crafted food assets, and exploring this haunting, empty death row complex. Really cool vibe just standing in that hallway and looking out the one window to the shadowed mountains beyond. I wasn't quite able to get the first meal to register, but I had fun nonetheless. Great work!
May 4 00:22:42 2h 28m Deadmail ♥ 3 This entry just OOZES flavor and beauty! I loved the little game loop - swinging my scythe felt satisfying, and busily routing my way around town was fun - but mostly I was just enamored with this adorable world you created, and I wanted to explore! The colors were so electrifying, and the lovingly crafted curiosities you passed by on the path filled me with wonder for this adorable underworld. Imagining what Ms. Mushroom house must think of the wizard tower, or why this citizen's yard is littered with steel crosses. The music, sfx, and controls all played into that as well - delivering an enrapturing vista that kept my attention the whole time. An absolute delight, and proof that a strong artistic vision can yield an excellent game, even on a short schedule. Well done everyone! gold.png
May 4 00:37:08 14m 26s Deliver Inc. | A Delivery Simulator ♥ 3 Holy crap! You implemented a literal whole sim game in a weekend?! I can't fathom how this was possible - everything from the art, a massive, map, to the driving mechanics, to an upgrade garage, to the mission system (!!!) was fully fledged. I kept expecting to be like "ok, well this part definitely fell out of scope" - but nope! It's all there! And it runs on web too! You absolute madlads/lasses, you rascals. And our little friend up top has some real shmooves! He got in the way of the arrow indicator a bit, but it was worth it to see him bust it down. All in all - a wonderful experience. I may not have made much money, but I had a grand time cruising around this wonderful village. Thanks!
May 4 00:50:43 13m 35s DroidDash ♥ 1 This was so fun! I am shocked at how much art and how much voice recording you were able to do - I could never tackle a genre like this, yet you pulled it off so well! I loved the twist of 'learning new sounds' - such a cool addition to the 'tools' of a point and click, and allows the user to think differently about how to interact with the world, just to elicit more audio The humor really caught me off guard - I loved it! Everything about this game is so charming. Well done!
