Apr 28 04:06:14 self reflection ♥ 1 Had fun, beat it! 2nd-3rd level took a while to get, but there are only so many things in the level so I figured it out. Nice use of backtracking to influence later puzzles. Ideally self reflection doesn't turn into rumination, but that happens sometimes. nice job!
Apr 28 04:14:23 8m 09s Deep Voice ♥ 1 love the birds 🐦 I was able to just hold my voice out and keep flying on the top. Interesting style and very bouncy planes. nice work! I tried Firefox first, but I have a bunch of add-ons that prevent things from taking permission. On Chrome it asked and then it worked fine.
Apr 28 04:51:49 37m 26s RAMnesia ♥ 1 Really nice! Unfortunately I think my laptop was not great at running the game, and so sometimes inputs would be a bit sticky, especially after I picked up or reset something, making timing (especially the last one with 10 keys) very hard. I was able to beat in 30:47.1 min. Though I might have cheated at the first block puzzle, something happened when I made the key into a block and looked into the mirror, I reset very high and then fell through the level. As I was infinitely falling I was able the skip the next level and reset at the last level, and was able to beat the game that way. Anyway nice job!
Apr 28 05:11:10 19m 21s Snake Match ♥ 1 I got to "The Earth looks more arbitrary than before", but then my snake got to maximum length so I couldn't keep going. The match-3 aspect doesn't become too apparent until you start hitting the walls, but then it's not too hard to try and find a match 3 to clear it. I guess the puzzle here then is more how efficiently can you go down without eating fruit, though I think that might be harder to figure out just from looking at the screen as you don't know what fruit will appear next. Overall pretty interesting, nice job!
Apr 28 05:18:37 7m 27s grem ♥ 1 Beat it! some levels I was able to beat just by randomly walking around in the dark, but I liked the torch mechanic. I think it'll be interesting to see how else you could use the light (perhaps something like a fuse, or a chain reaction of lights?). Nice job!
Apr 28 05:31:44 13m 07s Press Space To Jump The Gap ♥ 1 hahaha this was great. It took me 9:04 min. The zooming in sound made my laptop vibrate a bit which was like haptics on the computer. great job!
Apr 28 06:07:30 35m 46s Solar Subs ♥ 1 very nice, I got a score of 44! It gets much harder once it gets pitch black, but I also like the slow progression for it getting darker and darker. Makes me feel like there could be some story in there if you can get to the bottom. Two things from me is having to click on the sub (though I guess that can prevent random clicking), and sometimes the sub will spawn near a sub or spawn in the light (it'll be nice if the subs also faded in or so rather than just popping in). I really liked the atmosphere and the lighting, nice job!
Apr 28 07:09:49 1h 02m Descend ♥ 2 I think I beat it! A lot of nice mining, though if you miss a letter it's somewhat easy to get stuck for a bit (especially if you forget what level of dirt you can dig through). I liked the story elements mixed in with the mining, pretty cool. nice job!
Apr 29 05:53:25 22h 43m Walls ♥ 1 beat it! very interesting mechanics, I think the playing with the convention of walls in a room was really fun. I think I would have liked to see what made the walls move or an explanation of it, or if time could be visualized in some way more thematically (a clock on the wall, but it's moving really fast (still goes forward or back according to fast forward or rewind), cabin fever of being stuck inside)? Anyway nice job!
Apr 29 06:19:58 26m 33s Out of Gas ♥ 1 Nice art and I enjoyed how same events could play out differently. I got like 4/5ths the way but never quite close enough to beat the game unfortunately. Trying to fight a hot rod with only one weapon basically most likely dooms the run. I liked the game though, nice job!
Apr 29 06:40:46 20m 48s Fallumns ♥ 2 haha, at first I was like oh a match 3. But then things started happening. Really cool take on the genre, I really enjoyed it. great job!
Apr 29 06:51:18 10m 32s Burry this… Thing ♥ 1 my best score was 152, I'm really bad at pressing the right keys. I could see a version of this where its less trying to trick you in pressing the right keys and more about pressing the keys in the right way, but there is also some interest in seeing what is at the very bottom (even if I wasn't able to reach it). Keep up the good work though!
Apr 29 07:13:37 22m 19s Far Side of the Mirror ♥ 0 Loved the game! Nice to see story elements and game mechanics work well together, the characters were very good. great job! ha aol lukpun, P ohwwlulk av svvr hdhf huk Whzals huk aol vaoly jha hyl nvul, rpuk vm ipaalyzdlla lukpun pu aoha zluzl. Apr 30 02:59:20 19h 45m Unpaid Serenade for Future Solution Group [2026 eCon Grief/Heartbreak Singalong] ♥ 1 I enjoyed the experience, I liked the dithering and the colors. for the choices, I thought it'll be better to think about external factors harming me (that's not in my control, and maybe won't happen) rather than personal negative feelings. nice work!
Apr 30 03:11:49 12m 29s grGRIDid ♥ 1 I beat it in 7 min 21 secs! I liked how the tiny parts looked pretty complicated at first but once you zoomed in it was like you were focusing on the problem and so able to figure it out. I would have liked to move a bit faster but other than that I liked the puzzles. Nice job!
Apr 30 03:17:35 5m 46s Clear Your Mind ♥ 1 I was confused about controls at first but read through your description again to figure it out. Perhaps would be nice to see how different emotions could effect others, but I did like the safeness of not getting hurt and being able to take the time to sort the bouncing emotions. Keep up the good work! Oh yeah, my tip for gimp is to go into prefs and set your own hotkeys, that speeds things up a lot, especially hot keys for setting a grid and what you use most (ex. q=brush w= pencil e= eraser r=rect select) There's also somethings like increase/decrease brush size that are hotkey-able but aren't normally hotkeyed.
Apr 30 03:27:58 10m 23s Bungee Thief ♥ 1 After dying I thought I would be able to reach the bottom, but I guess it just appears when you die 😂. I could see the returning being some kind of upgrade loop. The movement was very interesting since the rope is "swinging". One thing I kept trying to do was tap the key to go left or right faster, but it was actually better to hold it down. Overall nice work!
Apr 30 03:37:02 9m 04s Puzzle Cove ♥ 1 I beat it! Nice puzzles, I like how the trident stretches. I liked how the visuals supported how the mechanics work too, nice job!
Apr 30 03:56:30 19m 28s Zombie Movie Marathon : A Game Remotely about Zombies ♥ 3 I found the remote! I didn't know it was a remote at first, it looked like an ancient stone tablet, which made it seem more mysterious. I didn't really get the premise until I read the description, but I liked the art and things that got in. I had a hard time telling it was a hand at first, I think it might help to think about the silhouette read from further away when modeling, but I liked that initial shot of the dust bunny. At the very end I walked back to the beginning and infinitely fell haha. There's a lot of 3d character and animation work for a jam, it'll be nice if it was showcased better. Anyway keep up the good work!
Apr 30 04:05:40 9m 10s Mini Miner ♥ 1 I beat it! I think I would've liked to see how the mechanics could be explored more. Perhaps a stage where you have to dig though a whole lot of blocks? Or what if all blocks were diggable and you can you figure out how to get to the goal that way? maybe if you could step on the enemy, have the enemies fall into a hole so you can walk across them. I think there are some ways you can take some of the more conventional mechanics and try and do something else. Keep up the good work!
Apr 30 04:32:15 26m 35s Asquid ♥ 1 I beat it! I liked figuring how what to do, but my biggest feedback was to give players a bit more time - this is especially true in the last level with the worm eating my stuff. I think since you can get into states where you can't really fix it (at least after the first two levels), you kind of want a quick restart. As the end the controls get easier, but there's actually too little drag, making the time to push the remaining blocks a bit more stressful. The audio was very cool especially pushing on the water blocks. I like how you start to think of the squares as animals (yellow cubes I think of as some kind of plant cows that are paired together). Anyway nice job!
Apr 30 04:44:23 12m 08s Dhromur ♥ 1 Not everyone has played HOMMIII, so people may not get your reference. Overall after figuring out how to move it was nice. I liked how you were able to set up the grid with the battle system and movement, I think I would have liked some highlighting of enemies so I could see which character I was controlling. These kind of tactics games usually take a long time to balance and figure out move sets for, so nice job for doing a bunch of it in a jam!
Apr 30 04:58:27 14m 04s Low Notes ♥ 1 I played through all the songs! I think the thought behind the mechanic, but it mostly ends up as feedback that you're doing badly. I think since rhythm games are a pretty established genre, you'll get compared the games that are doing it well. That being said I think the what would probably help it the most is better feedback for when you get a note right - that way the player can establish a good cadence with the rhythm of the song and not have to rely of visual matching as much. Overall, really nice job for your first jam! nice work!
Apr 30 05:31:01 32m 34s Match! Drop! Match! ♥ 1 Had fun, it took me a while to remember to do the L shapes, those are pretty key to keep going. Nice mix up of match 3! Since the results trickle down you get less and less blocks, there's something about that that feels it could be more balanced maybe? Like being able to make longer combos or something. Nice job!
Apr 30 05:39:58 8m 57s Oumuamua - From Outer Space to Deeper and Deepr Down the Well ♥ 0 I was able to land on a planet! Once I did though it was very hard to reach escape velocity again. The orbit line preview was very nice. Perhaps once you got close to a planet you could zoom in or have more precise controls, I think getting realistic space orbit controls to feel good can be hard since it's not initially intuitive (though cool).
Apr 30 06:10:42 30m 44s FALL DEEP INSANITY [R16+] ♥ 1 phew I beat it, but I started to ignore the dialogue more and more because I was very focused on not falling. The nice thing about RTX was I skipped a bunch in the 4th level by just zooming to the end. I'm not sure about the fun factor of making things harder, though there is this intense teenager energy I'd like to see in a narrative or so. I liked the art and the characters. Anyway nice job!
Apr 30 06:19:02 8m 20s all the king's men ♥ 1 Very nice, liked the message and the simplicity of it. Nice work!
Apr 30 06:59:17 40m 15s Fathomless ♥ 1 this game was wayy too hard. The hit boxes feel a bit big, or maybe it's the capsule collider that is big. Anyway I way able to beat easy after 138 deaths at 35:59:12, after figuring out that inside of going up into the room with the tiny spikes and gaps you just jump after you run off the moving platform going up and you're able to get to the right side. I think if there were check points were challenge versus room than that would feel a lot better. nice work.
Apr 30 07:15:42 16m 25s Belly O' The Worm ♥ 3 I beat the game! Fun characters, I got stuck at the torch too, I thought I slashed it but I guess not to the right enough. I liked the run animation, but because there was no air time after going off a ledge it felt very unforgiving. The slash doesn't have any knock back or reaction on the enemy so it feels a bit weightless, and you have to find gaps and kind of go back and forth. If you press down while drilling down, you can fall through the platform, this happened once where I hit the killzone before the level ended and had to play the level over. Overall though interesting world and concept. nice job!
Apr 30 07:58:50 43m 08s Dahla's Journey ♥ 1 got to level 12! It's a nice puzzler, I think options really opened up once I realized I could attack back. Eventually I end up trapping myself in a corner though. Is there an ending? Nice job!
Apr 30 08:32:56 34m 06s Sleepie Cookie Eatie ♥ 1 Pretty fun! I got to 302 m. Pal was very bouncy, but I noticed there's sort of timing with the hover that I wasn't able to get all the time. I kind of wanted the cookie pieces to last a bit longer, maybe if they dissolved instead or something for balance reasons. great job!
May 4 07:20:55 94h 47m Experiment 626 ♥ 1 I got out! I think I found the exit before I picked up the last note. I think it would be nice to get some more explanation in the story, or perhaps a puzzle to figure out how to exit once you got all the notes together, but the dungeon had a good mood. nice work!
May 4 07:28:44 7m 49s Holey Moley ♥ 3 I was able to beat it with 7 naked mole rat younglings! I liked the different naked mole rat facts. The snake pursuing you was unexpected and I died the first time I tried playing haha. The layers was an interesting concept, though there's not too much time to explore with the snake chasing you, but I did like how you could see layers of rock and find gaps to get through that way. Overall I liked it, nice job!
May 9 05:15:29 117h 46m Journey to Atlantis ♥ 1 I beat it! At first I wasn't sure if the game had started since the cards have the game name, so I thought it was a title screen. But after the initial few clicks I got it. I like how it ended up being kind of a puzzle with figuring out how to get into the city with the different cards. Nice job!
May 9 05:29:24 13m 55s Underground Chaos ♥ 1 Interesting mechanics, I liked that you could walk on any surface orientation, could see some interesting puzzles come from that perhaps, with making shorter (or longer?) paths. I would've liked the walk speed to be a bit faster, but I like all art you were able to get in with the character and enemy animation. Keep up the good work!
