Oct 6 05:15:44 Unstable Cubes ♥ 1 Beat it! Interesting jump puzzles, I kept going off the edge sometimes by accident though as it's a bit sensitive. Would be nice to have feedback when "how much off the edge" is close enough to trigger the explosion. nice job!
Oct 6 05:39:17 23m 33s Kattonauten ♥ 1 I beat it with like 125 deaths! it was pretty hard, I found it a bit inconsistent in how i would explode sometimes from the hitting the side wall, but overall pretty good. I had the hardest time with where the bombs where introduced, I ended up very carefully hovering to the next flag and didn't even use the midpoint bomb.
Oct 6 05:50:14 10m 57s Unstable Ground ♥ 1 got to day 17! I like the art and seeing the people walk around. Pretty hard to keep it balanced though for very long. nice job!
Oct 6 06:22:34 32m 20s Stronkey Kong ♥ 2 I beat it! I kept dying at first. The first time I played I died on a ladder and climbed beneath the level and had to restart. Another thing I took advantage of is a barrel would get stuck at the bottom of the ladder so I could keep jumping over it to get money. It took me a while to realize I had to have scaffolding go past a platform to build a new one and couldnt just extend one a platform was already using. Overall had fun, nice job!
Oct 6 06:35:34 13m 00s Shifting Skies ♥ 2 I like the setup, but the shooting schmup part was a bit too hard for me. It is hard to see the enemies and hard to dodge them. I was able to get enough coins the first time to have a high rate of fire and 5 shots, but the 2nd time there's not nearly enough time since the stats reset and you are more likely to hit the enemy before killing them. I thought the upgrade system was very interesting though, added a nice timing element. I thought the sine waves at first were decorative and didn't know it was important for timing. Nice job!
Oct 6 06:55:40 20m 06s gunstable ♥ 1 pretty fun! I think my highest score was 3640. It was nice to see the different weapon variations and how they could stack. I tended to run to the edges, but that felt pretty risky as I wasn't sure if a bug would come in from there. I think my favorite weapon was the laser, it tended to pierce through everything and get the most enemies. Nice job!
Oct 6 07:03:29 7m 49s Eerie Erratic Expedition ♥ 1 I liked all the different kind of shots! I would like to move while shooting, maybe that can be dependent on the weapon you are using? I tried using the shield, but it was a bit slow so it was hard to time. Keep up the good work!
Oct 8 04:46:22 45h 42m Ghosting the Party ♥ 3 phew beat it! the game is too hard. The controls are actually pretty good and the jumps are good timing puzzles, but its just way too precise. Not being able to see things (especially if they are coming behind you, means you have to memorize the pattern, which I could see as a thing but it's asking a lot for the player to do by the third level). When you dash, you move the ghost forward on the level which can throw off the timing of things. This was utilized somewhat painfully in the last level, where by the time you are done dodging all the knives you are at the front and think you are done, and then an obstacle hits you, so you just need to know that it's there before hand to jump. I would either add some more air control, add variable jumping (holding does jump or dash longer or shorter), or smaller hitboxes. Some fx would also be helpful with the reads- I really like the poof with the dash. I enjoyed the characters and writing. Keep up the good work!
Oct 8 05:03:04 16m 42s the cards we're dealt ♥ 4 really enjoyed it! I played several times until I got the stable outcome. It was interesting how you could be too happy or in awe or you would end up manic or overwhelmed, so my stable play though was all like not great events that happened, but good enough to feel okay. It was nice how you same options could have different results too. Great job!
Oct 8 05:13:28 10m 24s Demolition Viking Man ♥ 0 Beat it! Interesting way to defeat enemies using the buildings. Perhaps if there was an easy way to get out of the way while the building fell on the balls, or to know how the building would fall. nice work!
Oct 8 05:20:16 6m 48s Political misdirection ♥ 2 I like how you mapped the arrow directions to the political leanings, very interesting! The base system feels like a very good start to something, nice job!
Oct 8 05:35:28 15m 12s It will Fall ♥ 1 itwillfall_score.png Had fun! I think I came up up a fairly reliable-ish strategy. I like the block shapes and how they slot in. However given the fact that they are in full physics mode after they hit the ground, you can stack them from the center with a bit of horizontal velocity so they get tossed to the side. If you alternate this, you get a sort of sand hourglass effect where it stays reasonably balanced. Anyway nice job, solid game!
Oct 8 05:53:31 18m 03s Law and Disorder ♥ 3 I beat it? I would have liked more options to choose from, and know which one of my laws passed and which ones didn't. It would be interesting if there were different endings if you won the election (im not if there is or isn't). I liked the voice acting of "TV saying something indiscernible," but it did get a bit repetitive. Keep up the good work!
Oct 8 06:03:25 9m 54s A Crumbly Planet ♥ 1 Got Mr. Bear and beat the game! I like the fake out moment in the middle, and the explorations of tiles appearing and crumbling. I would have liked a bit more feedback or explanation as to why platforms would just appear though? A lot of the game ended up being memorizing where the steppable platforms were. Perhaps if you had a limited amount of time before they break, or maybe rocks falls and create platforms, etc. I liked how you were able to get a bit of story in there. Keep up the good work!
Oct 9 21:24:44 39h 21m Drifter ♥ 1 I got 17 shards! Easy to get a hang of, and interesting thoughts to start and try to optimize movement. You can bounce off the top, but you fall through the bottom, which makes me think while it is in space maybe you are in low orbit over something? Could see it as a good base for something more exploration-based. nice job!
Oct 12 02:36:53 53h 12m Heating plant tycoon ♥ 1 Interesting ways to connect wires and split them, I like how the town would grow and you would have to manage that, and how you could draw out the wires really in any way you wanted. The controls are pretty difficult to get at first, maybe if the different kind of pipe switches/splitters were introduced one by one? Or perhaps smaller levels where you just have to do one thing and the move on (perhaps out of scope for jam but if you were to keep developing it). I found the music a bit jarring as there were many instruments that would suddenly come in or it would feel like it changed music tracks very suddenly.
Oct 12 02:55:25 18m 32s Bennet Froggy ♥ 1 I couldn't get to the end after like 15 min (darn those ponds), but it feels I could get it eventually if I play a bit longer. Controls are in a nice spot where you can adjust but also over do if you're not careful. I like the art of the frog carrying the tadpole. nice job!
Oct 13 03:21:26 24h 26m Last Mile ♥ 2 Had fun! It was really interesting that I keep thinking up was forward, but I also liked that the arrows were directional sometimes. Not sure what made the switch in my mind, I think because up was not the same as up on the road as it was a bit tilted, so it made me think pressing up should make me go forward? The boxes were pretty hard to drive when stacked, so I couldn't make it past 5 deliveries, though maybe I could have done the deliveries more piecewise? Maybe the game could be about "how much you can balance at once" versus "how many within a time limit" if you wanted to focus on the balancing part more. nice job!
Oct 13 03:28:31 7m 05s Colon: Colon ♥ 1 Really interesting mechanic! Fun to play around in. I wanted a level where there were a ton of food-balls that you would have to squeeze through haha. The levels were fun little metaphors turned physic puzzles though. nice job!
Oct 13 03:48:52 20m 21s Black Cat Apothecary ♥ 1 I played it through and was too good and died and then played again and picked potions at random but then felt bad because people were not doing well and started healing them and survived (but the old lady died 😢 ) I think it's interesting that you survive if you wait longer to heal people and that you're not too effective. It kind of feels like a loss to me though, even if you survive, if you had to sacrifice someone else's well being to do so. I think I'd rather go through with how I played through the first time though hard to say how one might respond in a situation in real life. I liked the character art and how they were somehow idealized? It was like realistic but at the same not with slightly adjusted proportions, like hyperreal. Really made me pay attention to the faces more haha. Nice job!
Oct 13 04:08:52 20m 00s Chickie Catchers ♥ 1 Ah so good, love the cats. I see the cats have returned for this game 😀. At first I didn't realize I had to hold to jump further, but that sound indicator was good feedback and cued me in on it (the animation there is very cute too). Game is really hard single player but I can imagine it would be pretty fun 2 player. I liked how the poles behaved different in the levels and you had to figure how to best use it/deal with it. Great job!
Oct 13 04:23:45 14m 53s Angry Girl Wants Buns ♥ 2 Beat the game! Getting angry was a great surprise for me, and herding cats was an unexpected result. The control felt a bit floaty (I had to restart that level where you could fall down and get stuck several times) but otherwise had fun. Great job!
Oct 13 05:56:16 1h 32m It Crumbles ♥ 1 finally beat it after a while! I got to level 5 and then did the thing where I just kept falling till death after finally finding the exit haha. So I had to replay it. Could see how you could add a lot of things like weapons or reducing knock back to make it easier. I had also see how you could make something really hard, like a floor is all indestructible blocks but really spread out so you have to bomb jump to all of them, or a floor where the blocks start to fall after you step on it (maybe it resets if you fall). Nice job!
Oct 14 04:46:24 22h 50m The Worm ♥ 1 I was able to beat it! The controls as far as I understood it: Up Down not only control how under the surface I am but also can speed up or slow down the worm if you're pressing in the direction of the slope (up will speed you up uphill and down will speed you up downhill). Left and Right can eventually make you change direction, but it takes a long time to do so especially if you've built up a lot of speed. I tried going around the planet to see if it was a wrap around, but it was taking a while so I just went the direction was pointing in. Since it's a zoomed out view I think it's nice the people and so can just be dots. Nice job!
Oct 14 04:55:22 8m 58s The Yellow Wallpaper ♥ 1 I like the concept and how that drove the art direction! The platforming was not bad and had some nice timing elements with the bouncing, though sometimes you couldn't tell exactly where to go and just had to fall a bit down first. For more polish there could be more animation to some the environment, like the eye balls jiggling or mushrooms bouncing a bit after you jump on them. These would make it feel more organic and less "blocky." Keep up the good work!
Oct 19 05:33:42 120h 38m Death?Box ♥ 0 Beat it! It's not too difficult, but it gave me time to realize the atoms would decay after a while. I like the theming, you are dodging literal particles from atoms and you are Schrödinger's cat, haha. nice job, keep up the good work!
Oct 19 06:06:42 33m 00s Dizzard Wizzard ♥ 2 Had fun, beat it! Liked the amount of spells you were able to get in and the variety of them. Some ideas if you take it further, I could see some of the spells helping you with certain level obstacles (hitting a switch you can't reach otherwise, etc) and perhaps enemies that can be only affected by certain things. Nice job!
Oct 21 06:15:41 48h 08m Violently Unstable Rabbits ♥ 0 I beat it! I like how you had to use the unstable rabbits at the end to help balance. Overall I liked the upgrades and also how the unstable rabbits made it not as straightforward to win. nice job!
Oct 21 06:32:35 16m 54s Radish Kid Ascension ♥ 0 I beat it after dying once or twice! Really fun, liked the different shapes and figured out how to build more stable structures with the falling islands. I could see some more specific setups where you build it straight first knowing it'll fall and make a bridge, or knowing you have to cross a span so making a more triangular stable structure. Great job!
