Apr 6 05:52:12 Ripple ♥ 1 Very cool! Fun to play with, though it's a bit unclear how the sound changes and when it does change with where it touches the shapes. I was thinking if I could avoid some symbols and see if I could stack some to see where I could go with an effect, but since I have to constantly make sound that is kind of hard to do. I also didn't realize I could just hold mouse down instead of just clicking a lot at first. Since silence is always inevitable, there isn't as much agency on the player's end, the player will always eventually stop playing. If it was preventing something in a game from being silent though (as an example), that would require more action and choice on the player's end, and that might make it more of a mechanic versus a sound toy. Overall I like it though!
Apr 6 06:00:27 8m 15s Over the Rainbow Bridge ♥ 1 short and touching game, nice job! I wasn't sure if the runner mechanic would work well with the story, but since it's short and it switches from collecting to avoiding, it makes a nice point. I'm not sure if what is collected changes the story in anyway though?
Apr 6 06:58:17 57m 50s chronis ♥ 2 Got a 420 high score! Definitely just tried playing the puzzle game at first, and then just had to get used to how the time square could change things you wouldn't normally expect in the puzzle game (like cutting up pieces, reusing pieces, etc). nice job!
Apr 6 08:06:05 1h 07m Block or Bust ♥ 2 haha, that reveal on the third stage. Does a really good job depicting balancing different work things despite the absurdity. I found it also really funny that as the player it is very easy to just go along with it as a "I guess this is what I should be doing." Liked the run cycle and the changing costume sequence. Nice job!
Apr 6 09:00:54 54m 49s Ydunian Prune ♥ 1 fun clicker game, really liked the progression you have in the game. I think I got to a point where it would be very hard for me lose (oops I was wrong here). I got the 2nd ending. I did not get the axes though... Impressed by the amount of art and events that kept appearing in the game and the different possible endings. Nice job! How many endings are there? I kind of want to see, but it does take a while.
Apr 7 04:03:43 19h 02m Onslaught ♥ 1 My laptop keyboard could only hold 4 keys at the same time. So that means i kind of have to spam the keys so all of them are pressed. It doesn't seem like there's much change other than just shooting, perhaps adding some variation to the kind of guns or maybe targeting the martians in some way? For example, if the player has to hold down 5 keys in order to shoot, why not just make the guns shoot automatically? Then maybe there could be some interesting modifiers on top of that - maybe enemies move a bit and you have to adjust the guns to shoot them. Or maybe you can place walls and affect enemy or bullet movement. That would give the player some more interesting decisions to make. I did like the music too.
Apr 7 04:18:00 14m 17s JUGGERNAUT ♥ 1 I liked the little cells the buildings were made out of. Since the game gets harder to play and ends sooner when you are going faster, I kind of wanted the levels to be longer? Or perhaps the premise could be you actually can't be going too fast in order to reach the end, otherwise you might just skip past it? I also kind of wanted a situation where I could just keep increasing in speed and watch things whiz by. Anyway, couple thoughts on how the gameplay could vary maybe. Since you mentioned this was a high score chaser, I would've liked to see the high score at the end screen to see what my score was, but I don't think I saw it. Overall nice work on making your own engine and game!
Apr 10 04:03:09 71h 45m BOX IN OX ♥ 1 Liked the puzzle mechanic, and how building up blocks were good for blocking off the bull, but also made it harder to place more blocks in a safe spot as there would be less space. I tended to keep confusing rotating and pressing down for some reason, and i felt like the game didn't count the very top row as something that could be safety placed, so something where you try and fit a r shape it wouldn't work? Other than that had something fun seeing how far I could get. I think my best was around 24 matches. Nice job!
Apr 10 04:18:38 15m 29s Unladen Penguin ♥ 2 I got to the ground! but I still exploded. I wonder if there's a way to survive somehow. There were sooo many bombs, I would've liked to have a bit more air control even when my wings were spread out, but there is a sort of hilarious futility that results where you hope you don't hit a plane to fast or get hit by a bomb. nice job!
Apr 17 04:40:57 168h 22m Crows ♥ 1 Like the art and the mood! I was moving around the people, but felt bad since eventually they would get killed by something. I wondered if I was running away from something or if I could avoid it. I kind of wanted to read more of each place, but since moving takes a whole turn, I could only do it slowly and the people died before I could check out everything. I got the sense that I crashed landed somewhere during a war, but wasn't sure what my goal was after that other than to find shelter or something? I liked that I had to figure it out in the game, perhaps if the game could give some more hints though so more story can be found. nice job!
Apr 17 04:51:43 10m 46s Cristalia Time ♥ 1 Nice effects on the visuals, I found the enemies a bit too hard to get away from. Not sure if anything persisted between playthroughs. I liked the text at the end to give some more story, but I thought the audio was a bit too loud and crunchy sounding. Keep up the good work!
Apr 17 05:12:56 21m 13s Against The Horde ♥ 1 I survived until day 32! You kind of get into a good rhythm of maintaining your food and health but eventually you get a lot of monsters you can't avoid, but I like how you have to adapt with what you got. Infection slowly killed me.
Apr 17 05:17:29 4m 33s Volcano Crisis ♥ 1 I saved 120 people! At first I thought I was making water so I could reach the green tiles by boat, but then realized I could also block the lava with them. I like the little visual effect as the lava went to the next tile. nice job!
Apr 18 02:18:14 21h 00m Mighty Crossroad ♥ 1 I got 1180! I didn't notice a car in the corner was overheating. Overall I liked that i could kind of figure out how to play just by looking and seeing how the tiles were placed. I could see the gameplay getting ramped up with different kinds of roads or vehicles. nice job!
Apr 18 02:36:20 18m 06s LD50: The Mages Massacre ♥ 1 Fun story, I happened to mostly do well on my rolls so it was pretty straightforward. Liked the amount of interactions you were able to get in with the mages and also helping the people build the boat.
Apr 18 04:42:12 2h 05m Kiwis Can't Fly ♥ 1 very sweet story, love all the animations that happen after you bounced on them, great work!
Apr 18 05:05:39 23m 27s Sakura Shrine ♥ 1 loved the environment and walking around. I kept walking into rocks and so though but I guess that's kind of part of navigating the area. I lost the first time because I was too slow, but beat it the 2nd time. I had a hard time seeing where the demons were, and kind of wanted to just read the different prayer petals. overall great job!
Apr 18 05:32:01 26m 22s Rising Tide ♥ 1 oo, further I got for now is section C. Really loved the color shifts as you switched sections. I wanted to point out how sometimes you just don't know where the jellies are if too many are grouped horizontally, but looks like you've got some ideas on that already. nice job!
Apr 19 02:36:52 21h 04m The Twilight Bane ♥ 0 Was able to drag cards to the center, but I wasn't able to find any successful combinations, they all brought my health down. I tried pressing space to look at recipes, but a blank panel came up. I like the voxel guy in the middle though!
Apr 19 02:49:34 12m 42s Closure ♥ 1 Great framing and story. Perhaps an experience someone can have isn't trivial. Liked the audio a lot. nice job!
