Oct 4 03:30:51 Monster's Dungeon Shop ♥ 1 I think my best score was 33! I liked the variety of weapons, and trying to figure out what they were asking for. I would usually end up trying to satisfy the goblins instead of recycling. I tried going for a strategy where I would try and drag as many weapons down to see if goblins would just take them (I think this only partially worked). nice job!
Oct 4 03:53:52 23m 01s Symphony of Legend ♥ 1 I got 13/133 perfects haha, not great. I liked the expanding circle effect, it was very smooth. I don't necessarily think the arrow keys have to be the attack, but it would simplify the keys. I think I actually would have liked more feedback in the beats. I would consistently always judge by distance, and usually it was a bit too late. Not sure if this was the case, but if they all blink white as roughly the same distance from you (and always a bit farther than I would expect), maybe there could be a circle marker to show you visually when you should attack, or have it so they are a bit faster and only blink right when they get much closer to you. The slash was also pretty small which made me think the enemies would have to get much closer. I think at first I kept expecting sort of a rhythm heaven where you would hear the spawn times and then match it, but that wasn't reliable since the enemies have different kill times/speeds. If you didn't want a circle, I could also see the distance matching the beats, so that faster enemies would spawn at different distances away and they would all have the same speed. Another thing that could maybe help is enemies have smaller flashes at every beat or some kind of ui that shows how many beats till they can get to you. Overall though I liked the music and the level progression, nice job!
Oct 4 04:15:29 21m 37s Watch Out ♥ 3 Got 11:12.12! Haha really liked you manipulated the theme, really creative. Liked some of the puzzles that you had to do with changing the time, and also how you played with the concept and had some of the blocks "animating" - that was very cool. I also really appreciated the commitment to accessibility and how you included subtitles with your VO even in a jam game (as well as color blindness too). The acapella was nice and really like how committed you were to the bit haha. Great job!
Oct 4 04:28:27 12m 58s Type Traveler ♥ 1 haha, really like the variation of how it's going back in time. I got to the part with just one more key before I kept messing up and died. I liked how the keys are a bit random to keep you on your toes on replays. Only thing that bothered me was I would always click or press by accident and miss the ending screen/end score. Great job and well scoped!
Oct 4 04:44:11 15m 44s Factory Reset ♥ 3 I beat it! The last level was pretty challenging. I know setting way points slowed down time, but I didn't really understand what else it did? Does it speed up time again once you reach it? At first I thought the game was laggy even though it was smooth before I remembered it was time slowing down, haha. Perhaps some visual or screen effect when the slow down is happening to make that more clear? Liked the 3D art and the level scenarios - I think since the missiles had a bit of a delay it made for some interesting timings to make sure you could use them when you needed to. I kind of want to see a long one that takes most of the 10 seconds. Nice job!
Oct 4 05:21:43 37m 32s I'm Just Hungry ♥ 1 I got 24! Like all the different variations to the shooting from collecting power ups. I would always die by getting to close to the enemies. I like the premise where the slime is just hungry and trying to eat food but people keep attacking it. I think it'll be interesting if eventually you can then eat people for powerups... haha. I think I would have liked a but more different outline on the food (maybe thicker or brighter?) so that I can more easily tell the difference from enemies, and also have them always on top so I can see them easily. Nice job!
Oct 5 01:03:23 19h 41m The Curse of Tencond ♥ 3 haha, had a good time! Liked how I kept discovering new things after I thought that'll be it. The visuals were also very smooth and polished. great job!
Oct 5 01:09:48 6m 25s mood swing simulator ♥ 1 Very good visuals, interesting stuff going on with the shadows. The set up is pretty funny, I was able to give away something pleasant to all the bad thoughts :) nice job!
Oct 5 01:40:38 30m 50s Gastronauts ♥ 1 I finally beat it after a while! I got 5160 with 1149 profit on my 13th try. I didn't realize I could sell stuff at first so it was much easier once I realized that. I would get stuck on asteroid sometimes (maybe they can just explode or break after you hit them the first time?). I think it was interesting to see what the different plants did, but in the end I'm not not sure the difference for each alien plant or so (I guess one is more spicy and one is more cheesy?) great sfx (haha), nice job!
Oct 5 07:05:39 5h 25m autoball ♥ 1 phew, realized you could make it more reliable if you use the cannons and make a sort of predetermined route. Furthest I got I think was 89 rounds. it took awhile to find some good strategies, but really easy to try again and try to figure out how to do better. great job!
Oct 5 07:27:53 22m 14s Tenjutsu ♥ 1 Was able to beat it! Thought it was a bit difficult at first, but I liked how I had to figure out how to get skulls and stun the enemies with the flying kick. I also liked how you could only destroy most objects if you hit someone into them. There was a nice ramp of enemies. On the 2nd last level I think I got hurt and dodge rolled to the last level through the level blocker? Overall had fun and great job!
Oct 5 07:34:09 6m 16s The Phaser Machine ♥ 1 I liked it! The mechanic is simple but the puzzles ramp up quite nicely. I could see how it could get even more complex. It is interesting how even though you are trying to make the two lasers meet, essentially you are creating one continuous path. Nice job!
Oct 6 04:29:24 20h 55m Sweet Nightmare ♥ 1 I think my best score was 24! Is this multiplayer? It feels like a pretty good simulation if not, I liked that all the enemies are essentially other players that are also switching. I kind of want a bit of a hint on how all the controls work, but I think there is also some fun in figuring out the controls. Not sure if there was a way to "attack" for every control scheme though. Overall interesting idea, nice job!
Oct 6 05:02:57 33m 33s Decaedia ♥ 4 Great art, nice to see some shader stuff going in with the dithering when behind objects. It was a bit unclear to me what the mechanic is and how every 10 second interval counts. After trying the game a couple times I think there are a couple bugs I noticed, but some of it is just the messaging of how to play the game. I'm just going to list things I noticed, there's probably a lot you may know about already. - It's not really stated that the game is turn based. First couple times I was playing I was just clicking around and trying to attack the enemies as fast as possible, but clicking a lot gave enemies more turns so I quickly died. - The game locks up if you die and you can't restart. - After talking to the merchant and getting the quest one time, I went right and got teleported into an evening area, and got the password. Upon returning I was back at the beginning, and after i killed the enemies again the game locked up. - After talking to the merchant and getting the quest, I went up, which led me talking to a scientist and I got another quest. I accidentally talked to the scientist again and got the quest twice. After walking around again, I got teleported into an area where there were a lot of enemies (guy with a chain saw) but they were all noninteractable, and then eventually was teleported into what felt like a last battle. But there were two of me and a little wizard guy. I thought maybe they were all in my party and so I got killed by the wizard guy. - corruption I assume is the dark miasma that grows during battles and prevents you from moving, but I'm not sure. Level design wise, while I liked a lot of the environment and tiles, most of it was empty dead ends. Overall really good art and it feels like there is a lot of content in the game, but as a player would like some more direction. nice job!
Oct 6 05:12:16 9m 19s 10 second switch (aka help my pain) ♥ 1 Was able to beat it! I think the jump sound seems to be in the update function or when the jump is detected - might be good to have it play only once on `JustPressed`. Also, if you don't want the yellow block to move after jumping on it, you could set `immovable=true;` There was some interesting levels, but a lot of the levels can be beaten without waiting for the timer to finish. I think the best level was the one where there were a lot of spikes, and you had to jump at 10 sec to get to the floating islands, which you had to jump across before it was 10 seconds again. It would be nice to have a preview or so what what may swap so you have an idea of what to do before the 10 secs is up. Keep up the good work!
Oct 6 05:24:32 12m 16s Sokobyo ♥ 1 Was able to beat all the levels! I think it makes for some interesting puzzles, but it's still a bit unclear to me how the zombie moves, since it doesn't seem to always chase after me. I liked the art, nice job!
Oct 6 05:43:07 18m 35s Be Fast! ♥ 1 beat it! I definitely took advantage of the beat it after you die "feature" haha. Pretty tight platforming controls, I think I would've have like to slide off the walls a just a bit faster. Nice job!
Oct 6 06:01:16 18m 09s Near Death Sentence ♥ 1 Was able to beat it after several tries! I tend to be really aggro and end up killing myself when the laser comes around. Really cool setup, like how there are sort of different fighting strategies you can do in order to survive. Liked art and music, great job!
Oct 6 06:35:16 34m 00s Assault on Hartblood Hotel ♥ 1 I beat it! Nice dialogue and story, with a pretty robust turn based system. I liked the art, though sometimes I wasn't sure where to go next (though I eventually figured it out). Great job!
Oct 6 06:46:04 10m 48s Heartbeat ♥ 1 I think I beat it? I was holding the brakes and it flashed and restarted (maybe because I instinctively pressed space?). Very cool, like the ramp up of doodads to manage and the reassuring text. I liked the variation in the different controls. Nice job!
Oct 9 02:44:34 67h 58m Impact-Effect ♥ 1 nice and clean, was able to beat it! I like the upgrade system and the variation of enemies. I was able to usually dodge most things save some missiles exploding. I did like the sort of are of denial effects from the laser, it would be interesting if the screen was broken up is more ways like that. Overall nice job!
Oct 9 03:30:51 46m 17s Intomb ♥ 4 Liked the story and was able to get to the end! Liked the puzzles and the how the music changed when you were solid. I also liked how the textures felt like they were inverted, but both color palettes worked really well to communicate when you were a ghost versus ghost. Nice job!
Oct 9 04:19:38 48m 47s DRILL BILL ♥ 2 I beat it on casual! The art is very good, and I really liked the visuals and the level transitions. I did have more trouble with the platforming than I liked and dreaded any level with precision jumping. I think I would often slide off into the lava, or when double jumping just miss the platforms by a little bit (probably by hitting the wall). I really like how you can see the level before you started and you could plan your route though, I enjoyed the levels where you had to figure out the correct order to shoot or to go the most. Great job!
Oct 13 05:00:12 96h 40m 10 Seconds Cycles ♥ 1 my final score was 4215! Pretty straight forward, with nice 3d art. Could be cool to see different power up or enemies. Enrage mode was very helpful for defeating more enemies. nice job!
Oct 13 05:26:08 25m 56s Neon Speed Gauntlet ♥ 1 I got to stage 3 but couldn't beat it. I figured out how to dash on the walls but I would keep running into the lightning and not have enough lives to finish the stage. Overall liked the platforming but would like more feedback for when I'm on the wall and when I can dash. I liked the different palettes and the hub world, nice job!
Oct 13 05:54:29 28m 21s Ruins ♥ 1 Like the art style! I ended up skipping through levels because it got very difficult. The collider did feel a bit too big and I would often slide into spikes by accident. I would've liked some visual frames for the dash. It was interesting to see what kind of shortcuts I could potentially get with the gravity switching though this got harder to do later on. Overall nice entry!
Oct 15 02:17:09 44h 22m Love is Legal: Speed Dating For Criminals ♥ 1 Got one of the endings with Robbin. I think starting off the game is very difficult as it's unclear what items do what and what the characters like. By the end of 5 days though it's pretty obvious given the character names and what you can get away with. It might just mean in the beginning decreasing the number of Xs you can get or just making the character not like you so the figuring out can happen during the first play through versus multiple ones. overall nice job!
Oct 15 02:42:48 25m 39s Soul of Seasons ♥ 1 I was able to beat it! I think I ended up doing the hardest course first, which was the winter one to the left. There ends up being a lot of waiting since its every 10 sec to the next season, so you end up having to wait 30 sec if you miss the season you wanted. Overall though the platforming is not too difficult and I liked the different season mechanics. nice job!
Oct 15 02:55:55 13m 07s Ten 'em up ♥ 1 I think my highest score was 2465. Overall the small ships are very hard to hit and there can be a lot of enemies making it hard to dodge and survive, but the allure of upgrading the weapons and speed is pretty strong and I ended up trying to upgrade them for a while to see what would be next. I feel like if the ship wasn't as big, or if there weren't the small helicopters in the beginning that might make the difficulty ramp a bit better. good job!
