Really have to praise you on the animations! The character was so adorable and the idea of delving deeper and deeper into the belly of the worm was pretty smart :) Welldone!

I liked the run animation a lot! It was also cool that you had another attack animation for run attack.
Entertaining and exciting art direction. I only ran into a few clipping issues other than that great game.
Loved the concept and the main character (his halo was a fun touch!) First game I've played with sphincters in it :joy:
Two comments:
* I got stuck - I couldn't figure out how to get to the sphincter that was below a wide platform. I tried holding down and jumping to fall through, but couldn't figure it out. I looked around the level too, so I must've missed something. * I couldn't quit the game. Alt+F4 and Esc didn't work. I had to alt-tab and manually kill it.

@macaroni.dev you have to hit the torch on the bottom right in order to open that "gate". We cut it too close to be able to add more hints at that or an Esc feature but thank you for the input!
I really enjoyed this one. The combat needs a lot of work, but that didn't even stop me from completing the game. Just on the narrative concept alone got me hooked.
The paladin's animations were so good!

Animation of the clerc is so cool !! With a little more feedback on attack and be attack, it would be great !
Funny and great art direction. Combat would have been improved by enemies that respond to your attacks a bit more, maybe a brief stun when they get hit
Great Game ! The Art is awesome (I'm in love with the run animation, so cute!) and the game feel nice too. I think the only thing that seems weird is the combat system, maybe add some screenshake, sound effects and a white shader when you or the enemy get hit (this way the game will get "juicier"). But I really had a great time it was fun. Good job !
nice characterization and animations! didnt realize it was necessary to hit the torch, though i did try just going to it. would have been nice to have some feedback for getting hit by an enemy, but overall nice work!
Great creative and humorous take on the theme. As everyone else mentioned the animations are pretty charming and makes the game feel more fun. The portraits during dialogue look a bit squished though. I also don't like how attack is assigned to the mouse button, it should've been some keyboard key instead. The music loop feels a bit repetitive and doesn't really fit the mood in my opinion. Finally it would've been nice if the paladin had an animation for when getting hit, the health bar alone doesn't provide enough visual feedback on its own.
Other than that it was a fun little game with a nice idea.
@lalaki7 Thank you for the feedback! the portraits shouldn't be squished but that might be more of how the characters were designed. We had some hit animations and attacks etc lined up but couldn't manage to get them going in time. Thanks for taking the time to play our little game :)
I beat the game! Fun characters, I got stuck at the torch too, I thought I slashed it but I guess not to the right enough. I liked the run animation, but because there was no air time after going off a ledge it felt very unforgiving. The slash doesn't have any knock back or reaction on the enemy so it feels a bit weightless, and you have to find gaps and kind of go back and forth. If you press down while drilling down, you can fall through the platform, this happened once where I hit the killzone before the level ended and had to play the level over. Overall though interesting world and concept. nice job!
I like the graphics and the game is a nice length for a jam. I agree with some of the previous comments that it would be nice to have more feedback when being hit/hitting something.
really like those character animations, GJ. agree with others that there is a lack of hit feedback. Hope you won't forget about game and maybe transform into something more polished
