Fun. I really liked how hectic it got really quickly and how the better you're doing the bigger the monster so the harder it is for it not to pick up a bad item. Nice job!

Loved the graphics, specially the rotating earth view. Really liked the in-world explanation behind the gameplay too.
Nice work!
I didn't realize what I was getting into when I played the game hahah Found it really fun! I'd like the controls to be a bit more responsive, I sometimes steered into a trap when I feel I shouldn't have, but overall it's a fun game.
Hahahha what a fun surprise of a game. Had a great laugh. The music is great, and the dialog during the game is even better. Loved the inclusion of different dialog choices when talking to the king and how in-character is for him to ignore whatever you said. Nice game!
Loved the art, and the dialog was great too :)
I found the game a bit boring at the beginning, but the last three rounds were brutal. I was constantly trying to repair the towers, placing new ones because the splash damage was destroying them and frantically making sure that the area was covered.
Nice game!
Found it a bit confusing too, but I think I kinda got the hang of it after a while. I like the idea of having to use different characters and swapping between them.
Nice mood going on, those sounds had me super tense, so it was a nice little surprise once I ran out of fuel lol. I also only found 2 oils, not sure if I'm running in circles or if I'm supposed to do something else. Nice little prototype for sure
That was more challenging that I anticipated! It has a little layer of strategy where picking the resource and not giving it to Vizbig immediately so you can score some fruit, but then you're racing against the clock to get back to in time before the timer runs out. Nice job!
Nice game! I really like the vegan zombies mechanic, however I have to agree with the others, it feels a little empty right now. I tried to play it as a regular tower defense the first couple rounds but I died pretty fast. Then I basically did two rows of plants right by the shop and it basically was over, there was nothing the zombies could do haha.
Here are a few additions that I think would keep the core idea while making it more engaging: - Add obstacles that the zombies need to go around, either static or placed by the player. This way there will be a bit more randomness in how the plats are approached. - Make more waves of zombies, each with a few more zombies than the last. Add a longer difficulty curve. Right now you either get swarmed immediately or you're not bothered at all - Make plants cost more money. I basically created an impenetrable 4*2 wall of plants by the end of the second wave. Either making the basic plant more expensive or making it weaker so you have to buy more.
That plus the suggestions of the others should make a fine little game :)
Found a few issues with ease of controlling the character and such, but the gameplay loop I found really fun, having to balance between the needs of the guests + the police, running back and forth. Really fun!
Nice balance! There are several reasons to stay by the generator, to keep it alive and to not let it get attacked, and several reasons to go out, to kill enemies before they swarm you and to get the missing parts. Going back and forth between the two was great. Additionally the fact that you can't stay too long by the generator because the enemies keep getting stronger means you have to make some cool choices.
Nice job!
@lcstark I found the balance was pretty good. Technically there is nothing forcing you to leave, you could just defend indefinitely, but as soon as I saw the first missing part and saw the parts counter I wanted to explore and find them all.
Nice game, really liked the life sharing mechanic. Not sure how hard it gets alter on, but after a couple minutes playing I suicided by sending all my life to the heart just to see what happened haha Good job!
For some reason I found the small guys really well animated, if that makes sense. Even though it's pretty much a static sprite that points towards where you're moving, but its blank expression went very well together with the fact that he's trying to coordinate a massive beast that is always hungry. The fact that it was expressionless gave it a very resigned look, which went together with the them really well.
I mostly ignored the enemies, time/food was the thing that had me most worries throughout.
Nice game!!
What a fun concept! Right before the first wave I thought that killing the cats was over the top, but then I realized the gun shoots water haha. My only issue is that the player moves really slowly so getting to the TV and back between waves was a challenge. Nice work!
I've got to say, for a while in the comp I though of making a tamagotchi-like game, but this is on a whole other level. What a fantastic game, even though I got stressed out of my mind hahaha. It took me a second to figure out what I was supposed to do, but once it clicked I had a blast.
I love how there's two interpretations of the theme, keeping him alive in game and in the in-game game.
Nice work!
What an amazing entry! Fits the theme perfectly, it's original, and it has me wanting to know more about the world and the characters. I found it a bit too easy, maybe I haven't played enough, but I found myself waiting for something to break so I could move around. Overall great game!
My train of thought went: "wow, he messed up the controls, my camera moves all weird... wait, why am I rotated... wait, why is there a stereo on the ceiling..." Then I was hooked. I really liked the weirdness and having to figure out the couple puzzles. Found the massive beer in the fridge super funny for some reason too. The woman said she wanted a drink so I obviously went to the fridge, and what else could be in it but a massive can of beer. The music was great too.
Nice job!
Loved being able to get out of the boat, it made for some interesting dual gameplay. I was also a bit confused at the beginning but I figured out what to do pretty fast. Overall a nice little game!
Nice hypercasual gameplay, but boy is it hard to play haha. I couldn't survive for more than a handful of seconds.
At first I didn't quite understand the game, but then I read the story, was thoroughly amused and understood the game perfectly! Great theme and humor, and nice puzzle/farming mechanics. Nice job!
That was a ton of fun, and definitely quite out of the ordinary. Found the dialog and the dangerous gangs of otters in the park quite funny. Nice work!
I definitely didn't expect playing a NES game. Not only that's more work than the usual, but you also provided super easy ways of playing the game. The game itself I found interesting, definitely very reminiscent of the era. I found it quite hard as the virus moved too fast for me, however that's also on brand for NES games, as they usually weren't very easy.
Nice job!
Nice little game, I thought the bounce mechanic plus moving towards the mouse is a nice change of pace and made the game harder. I did find that once I was past the second upgrade I simply destroyed any close enemies due to the amount of bullets/swords, yet at the same time there was little I could do to prevent enemies on the other side of the heart damaging the heart. With a little balancing it could be a great game!
The asteroids always follow the same path, so you can just stand in a single spot and survive. With a bit more variation in their paths it might make for a fun game :)
@justalocalhero I originally wanted to add more deck building elements (starting with displaying your draw and discard piles) and complex mechanics, but ran out of time. There's also more UI feedback I wanted to add to address the lack of info once crops are placed. Really glad you liked it!
@seriouslycrunchy @lcstark Funnily enough I actually went in a different direction for a while. You had to play the 3 cards each turn, but you could also draw a hand of just tools with no crops to use them on, so you were stuck. I changed it so you drew up to two tools per turn, however that made tools so rare that it made the game extremely hard, so I reverted that and added the skip turn functionality. Having a way of regaining hearts and adding hitpoints to the crops sounds like great ideas too!
@liam I'm so glad you liked the audio, it was the thing I was most anxious about making myself. Ended up going outside and leaving my phone recording for a while haha. Is it possible that the problem was due to trying to place a crop next to a full bed of crops of the same type? That's something that I feel the game doesn't explain as well as it should.
@mincho @johnjoemcbob @loig Thanks a lot for your comments! I'm glad you liked the game!
@khopa Thanks a lot! That's a way higher score than what I've ever gotten, very well done! I've also found that there's little warning when you're about to die (be it because of a crop dying or skipping the turn). Something worth adding for a full release :)
@maumau @lanalux Thanks a lot for checking it out, I'm so glad people are liking it!
@zwodahs @spthiel Thanks a lot the feedback! The game definitely lacks difficulty at the moment (and you can also get a bad start that guarantees losing) so there's a lot of room to improve just there.
I had a great time building it and got really into the game idea. Given that plus the warn reception it's gotten here I am planning on transforming this into a full game. I'll post updates on itch.io, so follow me there if you want to check it out once it's ready/in progress :)
@spthiel oh and yeah, you aren't supposed to haha. Originally I only had tiles in the center area and the rest was default grey. In the last hour before submitting I added the fence and wanted to make the rest dirt too, so I extended the tiles there, not realizing that given the card logic it meant you could prepare the soil there too haha
@pierre-cilluffo @stanleygray yeah you're definitely right, the balance is way off in this version. And yeah, the it lacks a bit of feedback to let you know when you're about to lose a heart. It's sometimes hard to spot a crop with a single water among others that have multiple.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, and I'm really happy that you liked it :)
Nice game, I thought the orbs were a good addition as it meant I didn't have to go back and forth so often. Good job!
What an interesting take on the theme and genre. Would love to play a full game version of this mechanic, nice job!
