LD44 — Your life is currency

Bloodmoon Season by gogo199432 2019-05-03T05:24:14Z

An FPS for Ludem Dare, well done!

* The camera moved a little to quick for me, which meant I could only play it for a bit before it started to make me feel a little sick. * Some BG music might be nice, I do like the silence, but some subtle soundtrack would still add to the ambience * I couldn't figure out how to collect blood initially, it seems pretty touchy * My weapons were overlayed on top of each other, which seemed like a bug

Still, very impressive!

Dice Of Life by masterkrepta 2019-05-04T07:00:29Z

Seems like a cool idea and great music, but I couldn't really understand what I was doing. One thing that was particularly confusing was that I would click +4 for something, but then it would take 4 away from that category (e.g. -4, not +4).

Too bad I couldn't understand what was going on, because the over all aesthetic was great.

I just got a black screen, I think I hit a bug or something.

Cat Outta Hell by tifu 2019-04-30T19:24:49Z

Awesome game! It really feels complete and playable.

Couple tweaks I would make: * Lower the bg music a bit and maybe add some variation * Tighten up the cat's hitbox for platforming, sometimes I was falling and I didn't understand why * I couldn't make it through the first level, it just got to hard at one point and felt impossible (three slide-y things moving in different directions with limited vision meant I just died there every time)

I really liked the power ups. It might be cool to introduce them in the levels for moments like that spot I was stuck on -- otherwise it means you have to choose your power ups just to overcome specific obstacles, rather than having a more dynamic choice of which one you want to carry.

I did also get into a little flow-state trying to speed run while playing with a game pad. When the platforming worked, it felt really good.

Great job overall!

Mint Sprint by kaiclavier 2019-05-03T05:14:35Z

Really nice and complete game! The difficulty ramped up a little to quick for me -- it went from super easy to super hard in just one level. I love the infinifactory vibe though, nice work!

Voice control did not work for me, but I gave scores based on the assumption that the voice control was working (a friend said it worked for them)

BloodBath by Tiberiusuciu 2019-05-04T06:53:59Z

Nice! Nailed the theme and this is actually kind of addictive to play :)

The explode and transfusion effects seemed like they were attacks and took a while for me to figure out, but overall really nice submission!

Robots in Hell by Andreadbx 2019-05-01T16:30:58Z

Nicely polished! Minor comments for improvements: * Would be nice to vary the sound effects (tweak pitch each time one is played) * Would be nice to see the area off effect of the weapons when placing them * Could use some background music

Over all, very polished and easy to play and understand -- it was immediately fun, great job!

Infernum by slotha 2019-05-02T03:47:45Z

+1, the style is awesome, but there was no audio for me and I couldn't figure out how to interact with things. It feels like it needs more time in the oven, but you should totally keep working on this, it has a great vibe and I was looking forward to seeing more.

Coin Operative by davidsheadgames 2019-05-02T03:40:32Z

Would have been nice to have music or to at least vary the pitch of sound effects. Pretty neat game though, it had me guessing for a second if it was multi-player :)

Animancia by D1gital Cuts 2019-05-01T16:17:03Z

This is sooooo good!

Couple issues I hit (mostly opinions):

* It took me a while to realize firing was going to kill me (I went in cold) * The first weapon only shoots to the right, which means if you are stuck in a dead end with enemies coming from the left, you are dead * feels like a magical spell (your attack) shouldn't collide with walls * Feels like life shouldn't collide with enemies when returning

The aesthetic (design, visuals, and music) is AMAZING, seriously. The game play is marred by the fact that it doesn't feel like you can really control the attack and given that it's effectively an action dungeon crawler, this really hurts my ability to have fun with it.

But still, really great entry!

MassTransfer by IvanPavlov 2019-05-03T05:28:49Z

Such a cool idea, very innovative -- I would have loved to see it fleshed out a bit more though, with sounds and a better on boarding process to teach me how to play. I kind of got what was happening, but wasn't sure why I would win or lose mass...

I think the idea is super neat, you should keep working on this!

Pew Pew Crew! by Jonas Tyroller 2019-05-05T06:36:02Z

Awesome submission -- it was really fun watching the live stream and then playing the final submission. To echo other comments, yeah loosing control does not feel great, but at the same time, it's kind of fun to win against the odds of losing control.

Cyber Radiation by Alex Stacciarini 2019-05-02T03:58:39Z

Cool game, +1 for audio! I wanted to use a game pad and play as a twin-stick shooter, but ended up having to use gamepad + mouse instead, which is kind of awkward, but still better than keyboard :)

Great entry!

Current_CE by zoneoutapps 2019-05-03T05:04:59Z

Cool game! It was fun and I like the bouncy-jump mechanic. One issue I hit was that I ran off the end of the level and fell forever. Nice work!

Demon Pact by shadow30 2019-05-02T00:06:20Z

Great game, +1 to tweaking the controls to feel a little more responsive, also some of the enemy attacks felt a little cheap. The BG music was a little loud for me as well.

Overall, a great little game!

Really original use of the theme, great submission. The choices kind of felt non-consequential and the interactions were ultra basic, though it did add to the mood.

The writing actually got me a little, well done -- nit-picking the writing a bit, I think saying "god damn" to your daughter in a moment like that seems extremely unlikely and somewhat spoiled the build up to that point for me.

Minor nit-picks aside, this was a really unique and interesting submission, definitely one of my favorites so far!
