LD33 — You are the Monster

Starvin' Sasquatch by GertJohnny 2015-08-25T04:09:00

So fun! The art style is great too.

LD35 — Shapeshift

Reptilian President by deathray 2016-05-01T21:50:00

Hilarious idea - was fun once I figured out all the controls and UI. The improvements you made in the post-comp version addressed most of my issues :) I'm still not sure if I hold down space or not? Great job!

Splitter Critters by GertJohnny 2016-04-19T13:05:00

Amazing work! Fresh concept and extremely impressive execution. It was very fun to split the world and wrap my brain around how this mechanic works. Also the art style reminded me of Little Big Planet :) Great work!

Toyquake by Pickens Inc. 2016-05-07T05:47:00

Fun and tight game loop! Pretty easy to pick up and definitely addictive. Would love it for other platforms too :) Great job!

Bortman by Rscar 2016-04-18T02:31:00

Nice work! Quite a bit of art for a compo entry! Some of the sound effects sounded like a speaker issue - not sure if that was intentional :) It's quite challenging, especially on a laptop with a trackpad. I really liked the gameplay choices with the shapeshifting. P.S. your first 2 screenshots are exactly the same :)

Go Get Those Boxes by seanarooni 2016-04-30T05:52:00

It was fun to play, and I liked the variety of enemy shapes, movement patterns and travel types. I was a little confused why ammo == score - and due to the FPS perspective and constant high intensity, I had no idea if/when/how my weapon would change. The sound effects fit the with visual theme. It was fun :)

⬛R⬤PPING ONTO SH▲PES by Ovidios 2016-04-30T05:46:00

Loved the music, thought all the audio fit with the visuals well. The 'dancing' theme was a nice touch throughout - tough to get that stuff in a compo :D
I got stuck pretty quickly - it's an interesting mechanic, but I think the difficulty curve could use be smoothed out a bit.

Cloudy by Karl Schmidt 2016-04-18T06:52:00

Adam, that does sound boring :) The intended playstyle is to recombine at every opportunity...but I didn't add mechanics to support/encourage that. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

Cloudy by Karl Schmidt 2016-04-19T13:20:00

nervous.composers: Thanks for the feedback! After watching a few people play (after submission of course ;) ) I'm thinking about the same thing..
Roan: Yes a few bugs like that, have to be careful :) Thanks for letting me know!

A Tale Of Shifted Shapes by Odyssey 2016-04-30T05:37:00

Interesting concept. I found the controls a little confusing - I had to 'release' the mouse every try, but there didn't seem to be a point of moving the camera around in the beginning. Also the sound effects were very abrupt.
The very first level had quite a learning curve (just low amount of time, hard to experiment to learn the mechanic) but once I figured that out, I was able to move on much more easily and it became fun :) Nice work overall.

Shape Switch by stefvanschie 2016-04-18T14:23:00

Fun game! Some notes from playing on OSX: Right away the game opens a file system dialog and makes you choose a folder - I'm guessing for the save game? It was pretty confusing, I would suggest deferring that if possible. Also the Control+Arrow keys are bound to OSX shortcuts, so I had to unbind them in my system settings in order to get them to work in the game.
I liked the puzzles, and the progression. Great job!

Shape Shifter - Disco Labyrinth Inferno by treegemmer 2016-04-18T05:44:00

Wow, I had a really good time playing this. Pretty fantastic experience overall. Loved the variety of platforming based on some core rules, and even found some non-linear routes from time to time! The music and its variation also added a lot to the experience. Very nice work!

Little Girl by adamprack 2016-04-27T04:39:00

Nice work! I had to go find a mouse since this was unplayable with a laptop trackpad :( (at least a mac one) I felt like I didn't have a good handle on the controls even with the mouse. (While shapeshifted, it just felt out of control and random. Maybe that was the intention) The effects were nice and the sounds while shapeshifted were also a nice touch.

Shape Shifts by htspencer88 2016-04-18T02:46:00

Very interesting game! A tutorial would have helped, but some trial and error + instructions did the trick too :) Some notes: I think the compo requires all the audio to be original, I noticed attribution in the credits. Also the Quit button doesn't seem to work on the OSX version :) Great work, it's definitely fun!

Shape Shifts by htspencer88 2016-04-18T06:18:00

Oh I think that's ok then - I didn't realize that's how the sounds were made :) Glad to help with the Mac testing ?

LD46 — Keep it alive

Bait by Jcourt 2020-04-22T03:08:39Z

Nice work! You made a lot of levels, and each one felt unique. There was a great progression in difficulty too.

Please Stay on the Line by kleinzach 2020-04-25T23:42:39Z

Nice work! The art style was interesting, and the audio design was simple and effective :)

Space Engine Janitor by kschmidt 2020-04-30T06:05:41Z

@slimbun The traps are in the upper right, if you click on them your cursor will change, and then you can click in the level to place them. I hope you get a chance to play the game and to catch some Mites :)

Space Engine Janitor by kschmidt 2020-04-30T06:06:31Z

@xart2012 that is part of the challenge of the game - in the later levels there are other types of traps and objects. I definitely agree it's too hard for a first level!

Space Engine Janitor by kschmidt 2020-04-30T06:06:44Z

Thanks everyone for playing and for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

Good Squire by Eli Delventhal 2020-05-05T04:22:45Z

Wow amazing job, this is very complete and I had a lot of fun playing it!

FEED HOLE by Aj Jones 2020-04-26T00:36:17Z

Wow pretty cool! I played the web version and after respawning from being killed, I couldn't switch to any weapons, and getting killed again didn't fix it. Great intro and the companion was a neat idea. I also didn't know where to find enemies at first, and eventually found a LOT of them at once. Overall great job!

Peacemaker by Sandra Jasionowska 2020-04-25T23:55:41Z

Great art and fun music! I you are supposed to go to the coffee shop when you're done, it would be great to be reminded in the game when it's time :) Great job!

RushBomb by Gelgavish 2020-04-26T00:01:24Z

Wow very cool entry! Kudos for doing a console application. Music was fun, some feedback: I never noticed my HP bar. Overall great job!

Medically Inaccurate by Emperor Eagle 2020-05-09T17:51:20Z

Wow that was pretty fun, good collection of game mechanics, twin-stick shooting + managing two health bars. Nice work!!

Buzz the Fly Gardener by Flying Dog Fish 2020-05-09T17:46:43Z

Great take on the theme! A fun game, I wasn't sure what the point of all the other flies was for the first level, also maybe make the other flies look a little different than you do (beyond the size difference) Great job!

Saving Iyla by Darkmax14 2020-04-26T00:26:46Z

Wow this is a lot for a weekend game jam! Nice work!

> keep typing! by Yolziii 2020-04-26T00:13:29Z

Wow very cool, quite a lot of stuff for a game jam! Nice work!

HealWall by xart2012 2020-05-05T04:15:13Z

Cool twist, without the instructions I would have never figured out that I could tap on the bat to do things - I would suggest using bars that shrink instead of numbers counting down when you can use the block refill or tap the bat, and also some sort of "flash" or indicator when something is available to use. Maybe even some confirmation when you use it, like "stun!" text that fades out when you activate it. Overall a fun compo entry, nice work!

FIREGUARD by Puszkee 2020-05-05T04:27:21Z

Cute game and quite complete! Nice work!

LifeLine by pomeroyb 2020-04-21T04:31:05Z

Great job! I glossed over the instructions and so was just left click tapping at first :) It would be cool if there were some keys I could use instead of mouse clicks, it's a bit hard to do on a laptop touchpad. Overall I had fun!

The last baby ninja by SeabirdDigital 2020-04-26T00:59:00Z

Graphics are great, and I can tell there is a lot of gameplay there (ledge grabbing, double-jumping, etc) - but I had a hard time understanding what was going on. I didn't know which was my health meter, why my ninja stars couldn't hit red guys that were throwing stars that hit me, etc. I picked the left-most level since I thought that was the beginning, and it seemed to throw me into a lot of things at once. Maybe a tutorial in the future would be helpful for players like me :) Nice work overall!

Package Protectors by AeroSoap 2020-04-21T04:42:14Z

Tough to control, I could have used as more gradual introduction to the controls and game in general :) But I figured this is the genre you were going for anyways. Nice work!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Lights Out on Pluto by cad 2020-10-10T04:33:43Z

Nice work! The audio was a nice touch as well. Pretty spooky overall and was very surprised to see some mini cutscenes!

LD47: Stuck in a Loop by Jare 2020-10-10T04:32:48Z

This is great! Memories of Sonic :) Nice work!
