ARCADE OVERFLOW by Remco 2017-12-06T05:30:38Z

Playing 3 games at once!??! Madness!

I really liked the idea of this, and trying to manage all 3 to some degree of skill was really interesting and hard to do well. Great job with the theme! The visual style was pretty rad too!

Electrical Overload by Skosnowich 2017-12-28T15:45:05Z

Took me a while, even with your text tutorial, to figure out the game. But the building elements and crafting work well. I like the graphics and sound polish, and props to having a working HTML version too, it's always really nice to be able to play stuff right in the browser. Great work!

Prinsen Gulden by King Kujito 2017-12-05T09:03:24Z

Nice work!! I really like the 2.5d perspective and the art and music, and the gameplay fits with the theme nicely. The level generation is a cool touch for a jam game too, overall I'd say well done!

Super Mailman by 0xDD 2017-12-09T04:26:40Z

This was a real fun game! I liked that you gave the player a bit of wiggle room and didn't require every single box to be delivered, a few of the trickier levels I lost a few boxes. XD Great job!

Keyboard Kitten by qzqxq 2017-12-22T05:37:59Z

I really enjoyed the concept and the puzzles showcased it off well! I could totally see this expanding into a full fledged game after the jam. Great work everyone!

COINS by oab 2017-12-28T15:53:20Z

Easy to pick up and play, very polished graphics, and a great example of a jam game. Well done!

GREED by Ethan Allwood 2017-12-28T15:39:36Z

As some people have already said, very high points for graphics and audio! It's remarkably polished for a compo game and I give you props. I had issues with the core gameplay being a bit too stiff and awkward, not to mention you can die surprisingly fast... but still, it works and fits the theme so nice job. If you were to continue this after the jam I'd love to see the same level of polish you put into the presentation be put into the gameplay. I could easily see this up on Steam somewhere. Nice work!!

Zombeer by justinooncx 2017-12-06T05:24:46Z

This was probably the most polished LDJam game I've played yet! Everything in it is up to a pretty high standard of quality for something made in only 3 days or so, and it's fun to boot! I really enjoyed the stacking crazy effects you got from picking up health... ahem, I mean a fresh cold brew from the tap. The shooting felt great and the voxel graphics were awesome. Really well done you guys!

Cat Clicker by Mr.MadCat 2017-12-09T04:33:21Z

SO MANY CATS! This was a great game! I really like the music and art, and it was fun to buy and place things in your catroom. Great job all!

Risky Robbery by Markus 2017-12-06T04:46:20Z

Really neat concept! I especially liked the mood and audio, and the lighting really helped set the feeling. Very impressive for a jam game too! Well done!

The 1D107 Exterminator by Gris 2017-12-09T04:47:11Z

This was a cool take on the classic top-down shooter! I really like (what I think is) the day/night cycle. Also the enemies attacking you if you kill too many of them makes sense and is a great mechanic. Really well done!

Team Of Super Awesome Robots! by IndieImpala 2017-12-06T04:41:17Z

Wow! Like everyone said before me, the voxel graphics REALLY work! I especially like how the enemies split up when you destroy them and lose color. Also the power switching idea worked very well with the theme once you got a bunch of them!

I unfortunately wasn't able to beat the game because I'm slightly colorblind (which probably made it significantly harder!) Typically match-3 and other color-based games also tie some kind of shape with color to help people out with color issues. Something to think about for future projects because color-blindness in some form is actually very common!

The game was very polished and fun though, congrats on the entry!

Hotdogs Hunger and Hand Pain by SeanW 2017-12-05T09:11:23Z

Dude this game is sweet! I really like how short and to the point it is, while being really funny and fun to play. I dig the multi-tasking button mashing concept too, it took me a few plays to get the hang of it! It's totally a perfect jam game, well done!

All Followers Lost by Tim Ruswick 2017-12-05T10:02:08Z

Yooo, Tim! I've been following your channel for a while but didn't get the chance to watch your stream of the jam due to being busy with it myself! Your game came out awesome! It's remarkably simple to pick up and plays really well. The way you move and shoot at the same time leads into all kinds of offensive/defensive tactics as you try and slay--err, convert those haters!

I'm especially impressed how smooth it runs through the web... maybe this is too technical of a critique but I used GameMaker for my entry and, unless I did something really wrong, their HTML5 port runs super choppy in browser. I might have to try the tools you used for the next jam! But anyway, great work on the game and good luck on the rest of Philophobia's development too!

Vice Life by meskaline 2017-12-05T11:42:41Z

I liked trying to build up my booze meter. XD This was a good entry for the theme, nice work! It was funny too!

Free to Play by Hooraygil 2017-12-06T04:30:57Z

I really liked how you could use the popups to drag them and use them as platforms, that was super cool! The game as a whole had a charming humor about it, and some of the ads were hilarious. XD Really well done!!

Mo' Gold, Mo' Dragons by tvance 2017-12-05T09:43:28Z

Anything with dragons is a must play in my opinion ;) but in all seriousness, this was a cool little game and it was really fun to run around the dragons and collect their gold when they fought each other. My little nitpick is the message box that pops up outside-the-game when you lose, I actually thought the browser crashed or something the first time! But overall I liked it!

Mo' Gold, Mo' Dragons by tvance 2017-12-05T11:44:35Z

@tvance well can't say I blame you there, coding dragon logic sounds way more fun ;)

Blinding Light by Gaminbru 2017-12-05T10:38:42Z

This was really clever! It was tough having to use a little guesswork when your light became too big, and fit the theme really well. Thank you for having generous checkpoints too. XD Great entry!!

Corrupture by Chyme 2017-12-05T10:27:57Z

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I'm not entirely sure why the HTML5 port slows down so much, I've had that problem in every game I've ported to HTML5 using GameMaker... the Windows version should run OK though. If anyone has any tips for the slowdown thing let me know!

DRAGLUTTONY by Reality Blind 2017-12-05T09:21:30Z

I absolutely LOVE the theme and art style of this!! It doesn't look like a game that was made in 48 hours at all, and that's a great accomplishment! Seriously rad, awesome work!!

Lose weight by kingswind 2017-12-05T11:32:26Z

I am really bad at flappy bird and this game is no exception XD I like how you innovated with the theme though. The art also looks good. GJ!

Bleeding by allanolivei 2017-12-05T10:45:17Z

This was a neat small shooter game! I liked the acid pool concept and it fit with the theme very well too. A light critique is I would've loved to see the powerups really beef up your gun, it felt to me like they didn't do much to help me slay the oncoming swarms of bugs. It was a cool game though, congrats on finishing!

Mo Money Mo Problems by Oivin F 2017-12-05T09:38:31Z

I really liked playing this one and I think it fit's the theme very nicely! It was cool to see new things pop up the more problems...err, money you earned. ;) I also really enjoyed having to "read the fine print" on the contracts... I feel like that could be a game all in itself. My only real complaint was that the game didn't seem to register my clicks or where I'd place coins some of the time, even if it was directly on an object. It killed the flow for me when that happened in the middle of a frantic sorting. Otherwise, I really liked it, great work!

Vermin by Hertz14 2017-12-06T04:55:25Z

It took me a few tries to really get a grasp of what was happening, but once I did the game is really a lot of fun! It's cool to have your swarm of rats massacre all the food in a plot of land, and feels awesome to guide a big swarm through the buildings. Not to mention the graphics and sound work well too! A super solid entry, well done!!
