I like the movement, music, and art, however the game was a bit too difficult for me personally since everything is a one hit kill. Maybe include a lives counter? Otherwise really fun!

Very simple, but a silly and fun idea, I like the art-style that it gone for and the way it uses the theme! I think obstacles can be kinda tough to dodge if you're not expecting them, so it feels a little like some trial-and-error is involved, though that's nothing too bad. Overall, liked it!
This is fun! The trade off between high/low for the hand vs the frogs makes for some cool gameplay. I had to turn the sound off though because it was freaking me out lol
This is super fun! The art work really well and remind me of some games like warioware and stuff like that. I'm getting slapped a lot but I can't resist playing again!
Very concise game, enjoyed sucking all the blood out of my toes. The only downside is that the sound of the main character makes you want to chuckle even when it's -24 °C outside.
Very polished game! Nice entry, the controls almost were a mechanic in themselves, it would have been really cool to see some sort of gust of wind or something that would inhibit or change the user's ability to fly straight. Overall very nice entry!
awesome game! the art and sounds are great , I like the mechanics, simple but challenge lies on how fast will the mosquito draw blood before being hand swatted or becoming a frog snack, a simple concept but you presented it in this well done game. This has a very good replay value , I enjoyed playing this one! congratulations! keep it up!
It took me about few minutes to realise i can stop this mosquito. Frogs and people are your enemies, beware! This was really fun, and special thanks from our SoundDesigner, who uses Ableton as well!
This is quite well done. I really appreciate that the people can kill the frogs.
Ok this game is incredible! Very well done and intuitive, it's really easy to get adictive to it haha, good joob!
Super fun game , no bugs , controls are responsive and fun gameplay.
My only complain is the difficulty , it's a bit hard. maybe I have to git gud
Fun and hilarious :D Though it's so awful to hear that mosquito sound, terrible memories come. Or is that just me?
Excellently crafted! I love the amount of detail and polish you put into this. So many great little things like figuring out how to kill the frogs, moving more slowly as you get full, deciding between flying high/low around certain areas, and humans becoming more aware as you irritate them more over time. I also really like the different game over scenes, depending on how you died.
It's fun being able to strategize about which human to go after first, so you can save the more exposed ones for last when you're more vulnerable. Just a lot of really smart design decisions here, and a very impressive jam entry all around. I've played about 70-80 entries so far, and there are a lot of great games, but this one is the only one that's earned 5 stars across the board. Well earned!
Fun art and sounds! I got pretty far but didn't make it :) Like the details of moving slower when you have more blood and the people slapping faster the more you take from them.
Delivers the the summer annoyance in the countryside perfectly. Well done :D The gameplay felt satisfying but I didn't really get why the game kept speeding up and slowing down.
Probably the most original take on the theme I've seen yet, haha. I'll be honest, this game made me angry at myself for giving those people itchy legs. On the other hand, I did eventually get 100% blood, so take that!
Very simple and tasteful. I drank all the blood, and I liked it!
Really interesting idea! The game was a litttttle tough for me, took a decent amount of attempts to get a good run going. Those frogs are tough to dodge! Really did like the press your luck feel of going for more but being in danger, really cool!
This is a really cool take on the theme. Definitely a hard game.
Love the below the thigh mosquito view and the color pallette choice, giving the game an eye-catching style. Looove it. Yes it's a bit hard, but I reconsidered and realized that mosquitos in real life are playing in a even harder mode risking their lives, and thus all the difficulty can be forgaven lol. And how you fly slower with more blood in ur belly is a nice touch.
my god I hate that fly sound! having said that, I mean you did a great job on all the sound effect! I respect all lives, mosquito have to make their living so they bite which I understand. but still, I can't forgive anyone of them!! dieeeeeeee
so so so creative. also its cool you used GDevelop
Great game! I love how simple it is. Man those frogs are brutal. Took me a handful of tries to beat! I like how you used the mosquito on the menu to subtly teach the player how they'd be controlling the game. Nice work!
Nice I keep getting eaten by frogs, but it is fun it's like the opposite of those swat the mosquito to get an iPod adds. The controls are Niceley implemented music is nice and I liked the graphics. Makes it easy to just start another run too which is nice.
All in all, had fun would attack people again. Yip yap!
Edit: If you want a non-farming or soul harvest game you should do my game and fish with some kobolds. Yip.
Somehow, I can imagine the song "Mosquito" by DJ Aligator playing in the background.
This was a fun game and a unique concept too! It took me a few tries to get the hang of how to avoid getting slapped by a person or eaten by a frog, and I had a great time! Nice job!
so much fun, thanks

I tried to make a working game with a simple concept, and it's really awesome to read that you had fun playing this game, discovering details, strategy tricks and sucking all the blood you can! And i am super touched to see that ou liked the art style and sounds.

Some of you pointed out the fact that the game was not super easy, and that you might need something to make you not fly always straight… These last days i've been working on the post-jam version of Buzzy Business, taking account of these comments, and now i've released it!
**If you enjoyed playing and/or want to check what has changed, you can play the post-jam version [here](https://amarokczukay.itch.io/buzzy-business-post-jam)!**
__________
@spacecadet to answer your specific question: when you achieve to fill up the bite progress bar, you trigger the "Element of Surprise" buff that gives you speed x2 for a small amount of time.
I think you nailed the theme very well. It was a bit difficult but once you understand the timing you can do it. Well done.
I don't know if it is supposed to be that way but if you bite the person in a low part of the leg (e.g. the heel) the hand is then disconnected from the body (it is hilarious though :) ).
@tttt tttthanks for your feedback! understanding the movements of the hand and dancing between legs according to them is one of the tactics yea haha
the hand was supposed to be this way because i was seeing it more as an entity in itself, like *the* hand. I was not sure about giving it a long arm or not, but if you find it hilarious that way, i think i've done it the right way :D
Oh man, those frogs get me every time. This game made me itchy. This game is fun, but irl mosquitos or not lol!
Super creative and fun to play! Incredible submission!<3
An unexpected take on the theme! Can't say it's made me empathize with mosquitos at all. In fact, it's being in a mosquito's shoes has made me despise the mischievous creatures even more. =P Well executed, a nice set of difficulty levels, and nice to see what improvements you were able to make with the post-jam version as well!
Fun game, kept me replaying until I beat it
Found the best strategy - just bite the first guy in the heel haha
@rincs @artsyomni @renrok thank you for your comments, i'm really happy you found it fun to play/addictive (or at least frustrating enough to want to play until you finally got your bloody 100%)!
@renrok this strategy is waaaaay harder with the post-jam version, consider giving it a try one day ;)
@amarokczukay just tried it on hard mode in Post Jam. First thing, wow, a lot of new content! Sencond - yeah, you're right, way harder  But I'm sure it's possible :smiling_imp:
hey it looks cool concept...great work yoo...reminds my game
Well dome!! soooo fun to play it! I like post-jam ver more than Original ver. It's kinda changeable! Graphic's nice, Looks like some graphic novel vibe in this game! And... That the sound of mosquito wings...LOL so enjoyed! Thanks for made this game!
Cheers!
10/10 would get eaten by a frog again
Nice game! Very simple and addictive gameplay that is a lot of fun to play!
This was the most complete game I've played in LD52! Loved the mechanic, especially how you got slower as you got more fed. Good tension between getting more blood and risking getting swatted. Great job!
Interesting and funny concept! Also great sound design (especially the frog ending sound)! Well done!
This is so fun! I've always wanted to be a mosquito, and this game does a great job of letting me achieve that dream! Super addictive and just the right amount of tricky! Great job! :frog:
very nice jam game
This is great, I love the funky artstyle (reminds me of a warioware game a bit?) and the game idea is fun. And I love the polish with the sound design and music speed and stuff like the different death screens, it's great.
My minor critiques are that since the mosquito is controlled with the mouse I wish you could bite by clicking rather than pressing space as it's a bit awkward, and that the frogs are really hard to avoid, especially when you're moving slow, lol. Overall though it's fun and I like it! It's really tough, I got really close to 100% but I haven't been able to beat it ;-;
@mr-lazy @binney @dmitrygalias @machwerx @zyper @david-mason thank you very much for these comments! it goes right into my heart!
@his-the-unknown-painter @alex-garbus thanks a lot for streaming the game too!
@cassowary thank you for this feedback. I agree, the frogs are extremely hard to dodge, that's why some strategies are biting only the first pair of legs, or lure the frogs all the way to the left. For the controls, i see your point. Using mouse click to bite was my first idea, but i thought players would then click on legs even when they are not on them. I'm not sure the space bar really settles that or not tbh
This is great. Great idea, great theme use, great graphics. No fault, all admiration. Full on KUDOS
Thats how fun games should look like :) A lot of laughing, nice sounds, great characters :) Like a lot!
I loved this!!! It was so fun trying to stealthily get the same person repeatedly -i think i played this around 20 times and still couldn't 100% -very difficult (in a good fun way!)
I really liked how you slowed down the mosquito the more blood it was carrying -also that game over screen with the hand whipping the mosquito off was a really nice touch!
The music was great and i really liked the art style -this was easily one of my favorites of this jam -amazing work! :D
Great game. Didn't manage to beat it but was lot of fun trying. The different death screens was good.
Really fun game, even if i hate mosquitos. It was a pleasure to see them getting slapped so many times. But what can i say...in the end they always win..
WIN.png
I hate mosquitoes but I love this game 🦟
This is fun! It manages to strike that sweet spot of being difficult but not infuriating: you just have to concentrate and know where the next hazard is likely to come from. It's short, but well-polished, and with a great sense of humour. Well done!
Fun gameplay and nice art! resim_2023-01-23_111742479.png
I managed to kill a frog  Very cool artstyle (I like this clean but detailed look) and very convincing sounds. Gameplay was also pretty good: The mechanic that you get a speed boost when you get surprised is cool and the frogs add some nice variety. Just towards the ending when the fly became slower it feels a bit weird to play (I just did a ton of very short stings). But still very cool entry!
Haha this is such a hilarious and cerative addition to this jam! Definitely one of the more creative ones i have played. Well done!
Pretty innovative idea! The game is also kinda smooth! Though I got jumpscared when the hand suddenly appears from nowhere =)))
Such a great idea, really enjoyed it! Took me a little while to figure out you could actually hold down space to keep sucking blood. Really liked the mechanic of how the hands become faster and more often the more bites you took.
