| Oct 6 02:43:23 | Drunk Fist | ♥ 3 | Graphics were very impressive to look at (though they hurt my head a bit)! I thought the music was really good and funny too. Like others said the options menu doesn't seem to work properly, but for the duration of the jam I thought it was very impressive. | |
| Oct 6 02:51:38 | 8m 15s | Durgon Outpost | ♥ 1 | The jam build crashed for me but the updated version seemed to work. I like the visual style and the dialogue was charming. Needs some more gameplay though! |
| Oct 6 03:19:02 | 27m 24s | The Trials Of Yoltic | ♥ 2 | Liked the feel of the game, good choice on the art and music! Liked the variety of platforms. I would prefer a bit more snappy controls for controlling the character. I thought it was fun though overall. |
| Oct 6 05:38:37 | 2h 19m | Unstable Valley | ♥ 0 | Very interesting idea, I've heard of audio-only games but haven't tried one before now! I think my main problem was having a hard time understanding the state of the game like others said, I would try to obtain some gold but then the game just announces what the enemy has, so I'm not sure if I successfully obtained it. I think some more SFX for audio clarity on the success of your actions could help maybe? Still though, a very ambitious idea and bonus points for accessibility :) |
| Oct 6 05:53:38 | 15m 01s | Life on Cards | ♥ 1 | I like the style of the game and the graphics are very nice. Feels very polished for a jam game! The only thing I'd want is maybe a score counter of how many cards you got through before you lose. |
| Oct 6 06:40:56 | 47m 18s | Pong-Anoid | ♥ 1 | I like the take on pong, lots of creative ideas! Maybe a simple 1 player mode where the opponent just attempts to follow the ball's y position would be fun. But for the time in the jam I thought it was well executed. |
| Oct 6 07:06:15 | 25m 19s | Herman's Fallacy | ♥ 2 | This is hilarious haha. Reminds me of like a mix between Battleblock theater/Stanley's Parable humor. I was having a ton of trouble and couldn't get past the first spike room after like 15 minutes of trying but I still enjoyed myself thoroughly xD |
| Oct 6 07:37:54 | 31m 39s | Horse To Home | ♥ 1 | Silly game! Not much depth there but it certainly fits the theme xD |
| Oct 6 07:55:54 | 18m 00s | Don't drop it! | ♥ 2 | Best game I've played so far in the jam! Requires lots of mouse precision but I didn't think it was ever unfair, aside from the yellow blocks being a little frustrating in one of the later levels. Lots of polish on this, great visuals/sound and just a great experience overall. Great work! |
| Oct 6 08:06:29 | 10m 35s | Fragile Arms: A Sci Fi Story | ♥ 2 | Cool game concept, I liked the art style a lot and the voice clips were funny! I liked that there was even some extra lines if you lingered in the boss room. I think my only suggestion would be maybe to put weapon crafting on the same screen as the gameplay, or like a quick craft option since that would help to maintain the flow if your weapon breaks during combat. |
| Oct 7 20:06:36 | 36h 00m | Horse Pile | ♥ 1 | Well that certainly was a horse pile game! Funny game idea, I definitely felt like it captured the theme "unstable" xD |
| Oct 7 20:46:03 | 39m 27s | Inertia | ♥ 1 | Seems cool visually and I like the music too. I was having a hard time testing it since I wasn't sure how to add in p2 but from the video it looks like a neat concept. |
| Oct 7 20:56:38 | 10m 35s | A Towering Climb | ♥ 1 | I like what you were going for. I would have maybe preferred fewer levels with more variety in mechanics, rather than a large number of levels that feel more similar. Good job overall! |
| Oct 8 05:43:24 | 8h 46m | Volatile Valkyrie | ♥ 0 | For a compo game the fighting and animations felt well fleshed out! I liked the extra stuff you added like the parry and how attacking/blocking in midair kept you floating in the air a bit more. It felt kind of hard to kill the enemies quickly enough once I reached the "unstable" levels but maybe I wasn't doing it right. Great job overall! |
| Oct 8 05:51:38 | 8m 14s | RoTable | ♥ 2 | Haha loved it, like a weird getting over it/qwop hybrid. Could not for the life of me get past the one with the stop sign and the bicycle but I thought the game definitely accomplished what you set out to do xD |
| Oct 8 06:07:31 | 15m 53s | Fantasy Quest | ♥ 2 | Nice game, I liked the creepy glitch feel to it. The graphics and music were very good for the amount of time, game felt polished overall! |
| Oct 8 06:26:47 | 19m 16s | This Is A Stable Game | ♥ 1 | Good game, I didn't expect it to be sort of a puzzle platformer going into it but it was a welcome surprise. Simple premise but I think the levels were designed well and the dialogue was funny. Good job! |
| Oct 8 06:58:45 | 31m 58s | Dragon's Odyssey | ♥ 3 | I liked the animations and sprites a lot. I had trouble making the jumps to get the collectibles, I think the movement could use some tweaking. Good job though! |
| Oct 9 21:15:38 | 38h 16m | Nuclear Routine | ♥ 2 | I really liked the mood of the game, the combination of graphics and audio really made it feel tense when things are going wrong. Game felt very polished overall too. My only suggestion would be a slower ramp-up of mechanics, like where you only start with 2 controls and slowly work up to the final number since it was a lot to figure out all at once. Great job overall! |
| Oct 9 21:26:17 | 10m 39s | Unstable Core | ♥ 1 | Liked the idea, the UI was a bit cluttered so I had a hard time figuring out the objective. The systems you made seem to work well though. Remember that simplicity is key! Good job for a first game jam. |
| Oct 9 21:44:33 | 18m 16s | Fractured Space | ♥ 0 | Love a nice casual game! I liked the art a lot and it was satisfying picking things up. I think I'd have preferred if you just lost some of the objects when you got hit rather than all of them - though I guess that it doesn't matter too much to the overall goal. Good job overall! |
| Oct 9 21:59:53 | 15m 20s | Potions for Dummies | ♥ 3 | If there were cutscenes at the beginning/end they weren't playing for me, on the WebGL build + Firefox - just got a skip button. I liked the game though, really cute aesthetic and I liked that you had to experiment to undo the problems that some of the fixes caused. Good job! |
| Oct 9 22:15:44 | 15m 51s | Crystal Town | ♥ 1 | Congrats on your first game :) There were almost too many crystals, I got stuck at 47/50 and couldn't find more, maybe a mini map could help. I like that you added some quests too to mix it up. Graphics were great also and were the highlight for me, the sprites reminded me of Stardew. Great job! |
| Oct 9 22:41:07 | 25m 23s | Castle of Chaos | ♥ 1 | Difficult, but polished feeling game! It's impressive that you even implemented stuff like parallax and all the animations in the amount of time you had. Good job! |
| Oct 10 18:22:46 | 19h 41m | Deep Space Defenders | ♥ 1 | Straightforward but well polished tower defense game. Graphics and audio really enhanced the experience. I couldn't get past wave 13 because my damage just wasn't keeping up but maybe my strategy wasn't good enough. Solid experience overall! |
| Oct 10 18:39:59 | 17m 13s | Unstable Volcano | ♥ 2 | I thought the game was well designed! I liked building up a lot of units. My suggestion would be to make buildings more expensive each time you build one, because once I got enough villagers I had way too many resources (but I also played on easy because I'm generally bad at rts's). Good game loop for the jam length though! |
| Oct 20 19:43:53 | 241h 03m | Gecko's Chronicles: The Miserable Men | ♥ 2 | Great visual/sound design, A cool take on a kind of walking simulator style game. The 3d scanned environments felt very dream-like and made for a cool atmosphere - the endless stairs in part 3 was cool. The little stories were neat but maybe felt a bit straightforward. Great job overall! |
| Oct 20 19:50:35 | 6m 42s | Stable Table | ♥ 0 | Pretty straightforward game, I felt like it wasn't very interactive since the objects just kind of fell into place neatly every time you press space. I think it could be better if you had to manually place them. Nice visuals though. |
| Oct 20 19:59:14 | 8m 39s | Unstable Caves | ♥ 1 | Cool puzzle idea, I had trouble figuring out to do them when they got more complicated. The systems seemed to be good, the only issue I found was if I picked up ladders sometimes the UI wouldn't show how many I have correctly. Solid entry though! |
| Oct 20 20:11:46 | 12m 32s | noCharge | ♥ 1 | Creative game! I like the idea a lot of a player trying to "outsmart" the developer while they try to fix the game, I'd like to see how this idea could be developed further. The visuals and mechanics felt pretty polished too. |
| Oct 20 20:32:09 | 20m 23s | Unstable escape | ♥ 0 | Very good for a compo game! I like the visuals even though they were simple, the torches with the smoke particles were a cool touch. I think I locked the game on the shape puzzle because I accidentally dropped one of the shapes through the wall and it disappeared unfortunately. Good job! |
| Oct 20 20:44:35 | 12m 26s | A totally normal Pacman | ♥ 1 | Silly idea and a cool take on the genre-shift type of game. I like the idea of random game enemies invading and having to avoid them, the enemies were pretty dumb though honestly and didn't pose much of a threat! I liked the visuals though and the lightning effects, game felt solid overall. |
| Oct 20 20:48:59 | 4m 24s | Rocket C h a o s | ♥ 1 | I liked the visuals and music a lot, controls were very iffy though like others are saying. I think with some polish on controls and more variety of objects/increasing difficulty it would be more fun, it was a solid base though. |
| Oct 20 20:55:12 | 6m 13s | Ungravity | ♥ 1 | I liked the visual style and atmosphere you created. The controls felt a bit clunky, like the long landing animation that freezes you in place, and sometimes gravity would shift like every couple seconds so I couldn't get anywhere. I think with polish to the controls you have a good idea though! |
| Oct 20 23:07:33 | 2h 12m | Chain React TD | ♥ 0 | It was a cool idea, I like the idea that you can set up like an intricate web of towers to attack your enemies. Some better indicator of when things are being hurt and how much health they have might be helpful - the towers felt kind of weak and it was hard to know where enemies would come from. I think the idea has potential, just needs some polish! |
| Oct 20 23:42:54 | 35m 21s | Alchemysterious | ♥ 2 | I was having trouble interacting with objects properly in the jam build. I could tell you put a lot of effort into the systems and it looked polished visually. Maybe just a bit too much scope for the jam length! Props for reworking it though, the updated build looked very nice, gives me an elder scrolls vibe with the appearance. |
| Oct 20 23:56:30 | 13m 36s | The Landscape Hates You! | ♥ 1 | The game felt solid, good art and sfx for a compo game. Some issues with jumping not working properly, but with the development struggles it's not a huge deal. Don't be so hard on yourself! |
| Oct 21 00:03:35 | 7m 05s | Bobby McStevie's Unstable Adventure | ♥ 1 | Pretty basic game, like others were saying the wait time is unclear, and having to wait for so long to progress is a bit frustrating. Good job submitting to the compo though, hopefully you learned something that you can apply next time! |
| Oct 21 00:19:18 | 15m 43s | Floemobile | ♥ 1 | Fun game! I thought it was fun driving around on the more smooth areas but when it got bumpy on the water part I kept spinning out, not sure if that was intentional. Great work overall though. |
