Apr 27 03:19:51 I'm So Deep ♥ 1 Hilarious little game! I played it thrice, I was once "So Deep" and the other two were bad poems, apparently. Nice take on the theme. Good job :)
Apr 27 03:24:17 4m 26s Inner Pieces ♥ 1 Good game! The graphics and mood were really beautiful, the audio was good as well. I didn't find a way to "win", maybe I didn't play enough, but I had so many moods already. Obviously in game instructions/tutorial would be great, but for a jam game it's fine. Congrats!
Apr 27 03:28:42 4m 25s Jojo's Treasure ♥ 2 Very nice art! Unfortunately I couldn't do anything other than trap the first bad guy into a hole I dug, I didn't find a way a advance to the other rooms to search for the keys. Thanks!
Apr 27 03:32:13 3m 31s RogueRally ♥ 2 Hi, I loved this puzzle game! Reminds me of a board game called Hacker. Nicely done, For some reason the audio was not playing on my machine. Good job!
Apr 27 03:36:53 4m 40s Quick Scrap ♥ 0 An excellent game vimlark! Great job. I love your art style. I liked the movement mechanics as well. I think you should add more levels, but it's really polished. Congratulations!
Apr 27 03:41:18 4m 25s Run Ant Run ♥ 1 Very nice concept, well executed! Nice way of using a generated maze.
Apr 27 03:47:05 5m 47s Depth ♥ 1 Amazing 3D game. Great job as always. It's a bit hard to figure out when you're going to bump with a wall, but other than that, amazing. Nice work!
Apr 27 16:00:05 12h 13m HELL deep is your love? ♥ 8 Hi, a difficult game indeed! Nice graphics and animations. I would make the hitboxes a little bit more lenient, but other than that it's a great concept that could well be extended into a full game. Congrats!
Apr 27 17:02:06 1h 02m DeepScape ♥ 1 Beautiful, beautiful game. Your pixel art skills are rad. Fun as well. I found two unexpected behaviors (I got stuck with the sub in the bed of the ocean once, and the bad guys do not swim on the canals but rather can seemingly go through walls). I think with more polish this can be a fully released game. Congrats!
Apr 28 00:17:44 7h 15m River, Carry Me Away ♥ 7 Beautiful experience and story. Obviously it's just a visual novel, so not much fun really from a gameplay perspective, but amazing graphics. I agree with previous messages in that further interactivity would be much appreciated. Congratulations.
Apr 28 01:02:02 44m 18s D&D&D ♥ 2 It's a good little game, the "Nooo!" sound is hilarious. You could easily improve this game heaps off-jam, introducing so many more features and stuff. The weapon and movement is overpowered - I won easily by keeping space held and zigzagging from left to right, while staying at the very top of the window. It also obviously does not feel as polished and especially since you're learning a new engine. But you have a very good strating MVP to improve on. Congratulations on finishing and submitting!
Apr 29 05:09:03 28h 07m The Deepest Space ♥ 2 Hi and congrats for submitting for the compo! I think the main issue I have with it is that it's really hard to find the fuel. The concept is good and you can grow it, just a bit rough for a game jam. I would suggest you make an easier game for next jams.
Apr 30 15:04:10 33h 55m Crust ♥ 4 Really nice game. Beautiful execution, great mechanics (love the pinballesque bumpers). Very polished. Amazing.
Apr 30 15:17:20 13m 10s Bunny Bunny Dig Dig ♥ 1 Good game, it's very polished, especially for a solo jam game. You are a talented artist. Should make a fine mobile game as well.
Apr 30 15:41:32 24m 12s Spin On ♥ 1 Hi, it's a great idea and I the graphics are good. I think the controls and physics variables need some tweaking to feel right. Also the difficulty is obviously in need of tuning, as you stated. For a compo game this is great. Congrats for submitting!
Apr 30 15:47:32 6m 00s Am I only dreaming? ♥ 1 Congratulations for your first jam game, you should be proud of submitting, especially for compo. Keep working and improving your programming and art skills and I'm sure you'll do progressively better (I can tell from experience). Regards!
May 2 04:32:57 36h 45m Below Earth's Crust ♥ 4 The game is amazing, I loved the mood of it. I finished collecting everything. I wish there was something else to do, also after I collected everything and docked, it only showed like a "vault" with all the stuff and would not let me do anything (apparently the game has the win condition programmed but no actions or text appear there). Brilliant game though, you could expand this into a purchase worthy game if you add more variation, things to do, hazards, etc. Congrats
May 2 04:39:56 6m 59s Animals in the Deep ♥ 1 Hi, first of all, congratulations on submitting a game for LD! This is a huge achievement on itself. I think you have a nice idea of a game and a cool concept. You need to work to refine and polish it. I'd work on improving the controls: the horizontal movement has too much acceleration (you don't need it), the jumps do not feel good and the player gets stuck into walls (work on the collisions). After you've improved that, you can work towards having more stuff to do. If you commit to it and keep working on it you will have a great game! Keep it up!
May 2 04:46:03 6m 07s Dungeon Faller ♥ 0 Hi thanks for your game. It's nice. I really wish it was a little bit more rewarding at the start, either I had bad luck or I didn't really see much reward from the first runs. I like the idea, but I think you need to keep polishing it. Congrats for submitting to compo, though!
May 2 04:52:00 5m 57s Nuclear blaze ♥ 2 Beautiful game. You can expand this into a full fledged release. The pixel particle effects and graphics are amazing. I would tweak the jumps (they're kind of floaty, they don't make much difference but they will feel better) and improve the controls (I did not like the keyboard mapping you have, I did not try the controller but I guess it's better - you should let them be remapped). This is impressive for a compo game. Congratulations!
May 2 04:54:07 2m 07s Depths of Fear ♥ 1 Hi, I could not play your game, the HTML5 build looks broken (probably server error). I did not rate it obviously, just so you know. If you can fix it, I will play it for sure.
May 2 05:04:33 10m 26s Afraid to Turn ♥ 1 Nice art and game! I probably suck at it, since I did not manage to win, but I loved the controls. I think it's polished for a compo game. I loved the theme and I agree with others in that you can make it even more terrifying by making the ambiance darker. I did not like that you throw anything at the wolf (not just rocks) and hence you have to go pick up more berries if you get attacked. My only other criticism is the problem with Opera GX/Chrome and HTML5 not loading. Great job overall!
May 3 03:54:08 22h 49m CTRL BASE ZERO ♥ 0 Hey, nice work on this one! Too bad you ran out of time, I can see this benefiting from many additional hours of grinding to expand the story and levels, fix the inconsistent game design elements and producing something more playable. The graphic style is great and the mood too. Keep working on it, I'd love to play it once it's more advanced :)
May 3 04:04:23 10m 15s Monkey Quest ♥ 0 Beautiful game, as others said it's very polished. The only thing I would fix is the hitboxes which are a bit too strict. Other than that, great job!
May 3 04:17:59 13m 36s Abyssonaut ♥ 0 Beautiful game and graphics, I love the physics of rock throwing. I didn't get the balloon part - since there's no fall damage and I managed to fall, I just kept going until I got the egg and started to use the jetpack to go back (unfortunately I died to lava). I think the keyboard controls are not very comfortable, I'd rather use W to go up/jetpack and mouse to kick, I wish there was a way to remap them. Amazing game nonetheless, great job!
May 3 04:29:13 11m 14s Third Party ♥ 0 Beautiful, beautiful game, amazing stealth mechanics. I love the way you let users use corpses. Everything is amazing, easily one of the best games I've played this LD edition, even though this edition I've seen really amazing games already!
May 4 04:11:12 23h 41m OceanMen ♥ 0 Hi, your HTML5 build seems broken. I wasn't able to load it in Opera GX. I did not rate.
May 4 04:15:44 4m 32s Archeo ♥ 1 Good job with this unique game, max points for innovation. I liked the mechanics. I felt the animations and the general UI are a bit unpolished, you can work on improving these. Like the music. Good job!
May 4 04:20:48 5m 04s 10,001 - A space exploration game ♥ 1 It's a good game concept, I think you can improve it by making sure the player has an objective and more things to do (fetch x, destroy y, refuel etc.). The graphics look nice. Overall your compo effort is very good. Keep it up!
May 4 04:23:52 3m 04s Down the Dwarvern Hole ♥ 1 Omg the humor in this one is amazing! This is the best humor I've played this LD, and the voice over just makes it better. The puzzle game itself is good as well, I think you can expand it. Good job especially for a compo!
May 4 04:28:04 4m 12s Dig Deep Get Gold ♥ 1 An amazing idea and well executed, the rhythm game combined with the binary tree is one of the cleverest of the compo. I love it. If you improve graphics and audio a little bit and introduce a little bit more variety you could very well publish that game into the mobile store. I'd play it for sure. Congrats!
May 5 16:14:55 35h 46m Deeper Into The Forest ♥ 1 The graphics are beautiful. The game does feel slow (movement itself and the floaty jumps) and there are some killing bugs (I managed to get stuck twice into a platform). If you fix the bugs and improve movement you might have a nice platformer concept to work on, that could become something much better in the near future! Keep it up.
May 5 16:42:35 27m 40s 20.000 LIGHT YEARS deep in THE SKY ♥ 3 Beautiful, beautiful game. Impressive. I haven't reached Eden yet, I reached ending B and C. But it's amazing! My only feedback would be to improve the instructions/tutorial a little bit. Amazing!
May 5 16:45:58 3m 23s Manic Miner ♥ 0 Very simple game, pretty fun. Nicely executed for compo.
May 5 16:51:00 5m 02s 1000 Fathoms ♥ 1 Nice concept. Two player coop seems much more fun than playing alone. Music and sound can be improved, but apart from that it's minimalistic.
May 5 17:11:09 20m 09s ROOTS ♥ 2 Beautiful, beautiful game. Amazing!!! Really well executed and polished, especially for a compo.
May 5 17:57:35 46m 26s Rabbit Rappel ♥ 2 The best game I've played of the Jam (not Compo). I feel the controls can be smoother and I don't like I can't jump with W, but other than that the physics, graphics and everything else is amazing. Congrats!
May 5 18:26:06 28m 31s The Stick of Many Things™ ♥ 3 Hi, the graphics are beautiful, especially the bloom and lighting effects. I did not find it particularly fun to play, mainly because it's a little bit bland, but I think you can develop it further. Congrats for submitting it.
May 5 18:44:04 17m 58s Untitled Simulator ♥ 1 A nice interpretation of the theme (great job there) and good game. My main gripe with this is the speed of text, it's way too slow and there's no way to skip it. I agree with other comments in that the camera should move independently of the text selection. Good job.
May 6 16:56:03 22h 11m depthscraper ♥ 2 Good game, I think it's a nice semi-casual puzzle game, it could be improved and released on mobile. It is a bit rough and could be polished way more with more sound, music, particle effects etc. but it's a great little concept for a future game.
May 6 17:23:56 27m 53s Dungeon Painter ♥ 1 Amazing game. Simple, but really nice at the same time. The painting mechanic is so cool, I wish there was more things to do with it (such as invisible enemies or items that become visible if you paint them, etc.). I loved the idea. I would improve sound/music and also tweak the movement a little bit (i.e. there's a little bit of inertia when you stop moving that I think is irrelevant for this game and needlessly makes you die in spikes etc.) Overall great job!
May 6 17:54:56 31m 00s Ziggurat ♥ 1 Hi, I enjoyed the game! The graphics are really cool in a retro, PICO-8 way. The idea is good. I felt the wall "grab" mechanic is a bit odd but it's not bad enough to not enjoy it or be able to play it. The audio is great. You can expand this and improve it into a full-fledged game.
May 6 22:43:40 4h 48m Deeply Organic ♥ 2 Amazing game, very creative, super humorous. Actual game mechanics need more polish (e.g. jumps are floaty, collisions etc.) but great job.
May 6 22:56:10 12m 30s Selkö ♥ 3 Cool little game. Very nice graphics and nice music. It's polished and it's fun, albeit very simple and short (I would love it to be much larger and complex). Congrats for submitting!
May 12 00:44:20 121h 48m Cutting Edge ♥ 1 Nice puzzle game, simple but well executed. I think you have room to polish it as it is a bit rough around the edges. Keep it up!
May 12 00:52:57 8m 37s Astral Abyss ♥ 1 Congratulations on submitting your compo game! I agree with comments above in the sense that the main thing lacking is motivation to keep playing and exploring. The enemies are passive and do not pose a threat and you can basically keep expanding forever. You can work on improving this to make a much more interesting and balanced game.
May 17 21:47:28 140h 54m Meltdown, Down, Down ♥ 1 As a fellow compo-er and programmer of a VERY similar game than yours (my game is a strategic take on this exact same situation and mechanics, yours is the action-packed take) I *loved* your game (also, fellow game engine programmer - mine is in GMS2 as well). It's the most fun I've personally had this LD48, and there are some very good games out there. I'm amazed at the polish on this. This is beautiful. Congratulations on pulling this off! I tried four times to finish it without success. The last try I managed to get enough money to buy the last upgrade, but couldn't make it on time to the surface before the volcano exploded. Really enjoyable game.
May 17 22:02:56 15m 28s X Feet Under ♥ 0 This game is really well done. A bit complex for my own taste, but interesting. Good job, especially for a compo game. Obviously with a game this ambitious has a lot of opportunities for polish. You can work on those later and evolve this into an amazing game! Keep it up!
May 17 22:16:04 13m 08s And deeper goes the keeper ♥ 1 This is a gorgeous experience, the graphics and mood earn top marks. Beautiful, beautiful game. I felt it just a tad slow and I think increasing this just a little bit would improve the overall game experience even more. Congrats, especially for compo!
May 18 18:49:59 20h 33m The Red Crystal ♥ 1 Good entry. The atmosphere/mood is nice as well as the graphics. The lore is cool. I couldn't finish it. I think the UI could be a little more polished, but obviously the time constraint for the compo is restrictive. Good work!
May 18 19:00:21 10m 22s Hole Town ♥ 0 I liked the game, it's a good compo entry. I played two times and managed to get the victory in both. My main feedback would be that I did not find a way to lose (lol), is there it? A time limit would also be nice. Overall good execution, congrats!
May 18 19:03:58 3m 37s Deep Golf ♥ 0 Good hustle for a compo game, especially the graphics! I found the game a bit boring to play and a bit slow, to be honest. I think you can improve it a lot.
May 19 00:47:26 5h 43m Fallumns ♥ 1 Congratulations, you won LD48!!! great job!
