May 1 16:31:13 Bora Bora Or Bust ♥ 1 Made it to Bora Bora! I think I had to go below the exchange rate first to get things started, but after that things worked fine. I didn't hear any audio, I'm not sure if there was any? Anyway, nice work!
May 1 16:49:05 17m 52s A Heart of Gold ♥ 1 art is nice, though the pixel density of things is not consistent. The slash was a bit unclear of where it would hit for me, especially when I increased the range and some enemies like wolves got close and kind of stuck until I was able to kill them. The game feels like it lags a bit after I hit an enemy, but I'm not sure. It would have been nice to see how I could progress in the game other than upgrades, not sure if there was a game ending or not (do I have to get all the upgrades, collect a certain amount?). I didn't really need to use the dash. Anyway, keep up the good work!
May 1 17:03:21 14m 16s People Poker ♥ 1 finally escaped at least one person. Pretty hard, though you start to plan a route and then just have to execute and hope the pokes don't come from certain directions. I think more cover or ways to avoid pokes or different kinds of pokes could be interesting. Keep up the good work!
May 1 17:11:51 8m 30s War Crimes ♥ 1 Nice upgrades system, though it took a while sometimes for tanks to spawn. I think it was balanced with overall with the upgrades, though tracking shots is always a bit difficult. Keep up the good work!
May 1 17:28:54 17m 03s Haemogoblin ♥ 3 beat it! I died the first time around since you can get in a bad state if you spend too much in the beginning, but after that I was able to figure it out and save up enough money. There were times where I probably collected more blood than I needed, so perhaps awarding player or making it more clear they shouldn't collect too much? The art and expressions on the shopkeeper were very good. Keep up the good work!
May 3 08:23:14 38h 54m invertebrae ♥ 1 really cool variation on an adventure text game! I ended up using the guide as it wasn't immediately obvious sometimes to me what I should be doing (usually if I thought I was in the office but I was still actually in the stairwell, or I thought I was still on subway, not outside of office). I ended up collecting all the words I used as I went backwards so I think I needed to do, but then I had a lot of choices that I could potentially make. Perhaps having more alternate pathways? Anyway, nice job!
May 3 08:29:48 6m 34s Don't Die, Dumpstercat! ♥ 2 I beat it! I liked how easy it was to try the different options. The platform was a bit difficult, but I realized I could actually traverse most things on the ground so that made it a bit easier for me. keep up the good work!
May 3 08:57:59 28m 11s Star in a Jar ♥ 0 Liked the planets! even though it was explained with the voiceovers, I still had some difficulty understanding what the different powerups did (mix of not paying attention and a bit harder to hear for me). I liked how the planets got in the way of sending light as you would eventually destroy them. Keep up the good work!
May 3 09:38:09 40m 10s Force of Nature ♥ 3 I died, but when I restarted, the percentage left off where I died so I beat it! Overall I liked growing the different buildings, though at first I thought I would be able to place it versus checking to see if any plants have grown (maybe you have to plant the seeds or something to let the player know where the plants are?). The towers didn't seem to do too much even after I upgraded, it seems more effective to just attack the soldiers directly, so maybe there can be some balancing there? Overall though I liked it. Keep up the good work!
May 3 16:42:28 7h 04m Shibbal the Pig ♥ 0 Nice art, but I had a hard time with the spikes (usually hitting the upper left corner of them). Perhaps if the hit boxes were a bit shorter? It would be nice to start at the beginning of each level after dying, but I liked the upgrades. Keep up the good work!
May 3 16:56:03 13m 35s Lifser VR ♥ 0 Tested it with the Oculus Rift and beat it with like 1-3 life remaining (I wasted some life trying to select next). I liked that you could hold down and sort of aim that way, but that meant each shot would take at least two life (shoot to aim, shoot to hit), though I could just hold down after hitting something and aim that way. VR adds the novelty of shooting with the hands, but would be nice to see something more interactive and taking advantage of the space. Keep up the good work!
May 3 17:06:43 10m 40s Cowry - A game about change ♥ 1 I reached the end! Interesting mechanic, I liked the physics-based movement where you had to sort of rock back and forth to get moving at first. I did have to restart because at the end I skipped the last shell and went down as just a shell, so couldn't progress - could be interesting to have alternate paths in the future though. Nice presentation and nice job!
May 3 17:12:44 6m 01s Slot of Life ♥ 1 I lost! Interesting narrative, was interested in what happened to the souls. nice art, keep up the good work!
May 3 17:25:50 13m 06s It can only hurt ♥ 1 Got to wave 5. I liked the different options to upgrade from trading health. Shooting the zombies was pretty straightforward, would be nice to see more variation other than increasing speed and amount of zombies. Keep up the good work!
May 7 12:35:21 91h 09m Space Robots: Fight for Freedom ♥ 0 I won! nice art. Could be interesting to see mechanics that simulate other events, like resistance always rising regardless of what you do, or defending your own planet. Keep up the good work!
May 7 12:49:41 14m 20s D E A T H S G R A S P ♥ 3 I played through I think most of the options, mostly to see what would happen. I like that the better choice appeared after my first playthrough, though it wasn't a hard choice to make as a right choice. Nice job!
May 7 17:24:11 4h 34m PATH, a game of life ♥ 1 Very nice! I found the flower and book ending. I like how finding the different possible paths is a puzzle, though I guess you're not supposed to waste time walking around haha. Nice job!
May 7 17:29:49 5m 38s BLOOD FIGHTERS ♥ 2 Really nice polished package! I like the color palette and art. The different powerups were a nice touch. Nice job!
May 13 06:57:12 133h 27m Fireflies ♥ 0 I beat it! The last level was tricky. Trading health and light was a bit confusing as first but it made more sense after a while. Maybe if there a visual for fireflies that light up the room other than it just being brighter? In a sense it's like two different layers- could be interesting to explain that better visually. Nice job!
May 13 07:23:06 25m 54s Drytown ♥ 1 I was able to finish the game! The 1 bit look is nice. The animations on the enemies were nice, though unsure how human the blood is if I'm killing creatures to get blood back, haha. nice job!
May 13 07:34:35 11m 29s Town of Currency ♥ 1 was able to revive once, which was a nice surprise. I was kind of expecting upgrades, but overall pretty polished. nice to see a leaderboard for a jam game. Keep up the good work!
May 13 07:48:26 13m 51s Escape from Hell ♥ 1 I was able to beat it! Pretty straight forward, but looks like a nice start to something. Interesting idea with the adventure starting after you die, and then things perhaps resolving quickly when you get revived. Nice art, keep up the good work!
May 14 06:23:44 22h 35m Dusty ♥ 1 I played until stage 14, and upgraded the crossbow until it was like a death laser. Overall the balance was pretty easy, but the upgrade loop can be pretty addicting as you can make the weapons potentially overpowered. I had to read the comments to figure out to click the text to upgrade. One thing I would've like to see is the hitbox to go away faster once I killed an enemy, so extra shots keep going and hit the next enemy rather than being absorbed by the already dead enemy. The different enemies like the llama and the mage was interesting and made me switch weapons a couple times to see if they worked better. Nice job!
May 16 06:17:27 47h 53m Mint ♥ 1 Nice game! Making one coin was good enough for me (Persian Daric). It took me a while to figure it out, but following the manual made things easier. I liked the 3d art, but the game in general was very dark for me, and gold seems to be missing its label. The UI on the manual and text was easy to read though it scrolled very slowly. Since the general process of making the coin is the same and just about getting the material, size, and stamp correct, it would've been nice to see a progression where maybe you just have to choose the correct size, and then it gets more and more complicated so there's a difficulty curve. Or perhaps the gameplay is like a idler where you can start to automate the process of making coins, or you can pay things are different stations to reveal lore or story. Interesting premise though, nice job!
May 17 05:37:11 23h 19m Dressed in Red ♥ 1 I couldn't get enough blood, but I liked seeing all the characters come in. Perhaps if there was some way to see how much people are expecting and how much blood they have? It's a lot of guessing if I don't know the standard exchange rate. I did get better with it closer to the end though. Keep up the good work!
May 17 05:43:10 5m 59s Les Pattes (The Legs) ♥ 0 I can't rate it because I don't have that many controllers, but nice 3d art!
May 17 06:07:46 24m 36s Idle Idol ♥ 1 I won! nice short clicker game. The art is very nice. The game is very peaceful for hundreds of cultists dying, it'll be nice if their deaths felt more significant? Overall though nice job!
May 17 06:22:42 14m 56s Knight's Test ♥ 0 Wasn't able to win, but liked the dialogue and art. Not sure exactly what the game was about, but I hope you keep making stuff! Keep up the good work!
May 17 06:41:54 19m 12s Seed. ♥ 2 Really nice! I lost the first time, but was able to grow enough trees the 2nd time around. Really well done- liked the mutations mechanic and there's definitely a rush to keep growing as humanity cuts everything down.
May 18 05:11:16 22h 29m Soul Searching ♥ 1 Interesting game! I couldn't find anyone to give life to that was dying, but it was interesting to think about who should die. The platforming was a bit difficult since the jump was just below the platform, even though you would sort of stick to it and get on top- but that felt kind of weird. Usually the expectation is to jump on top of a platform versus going through it. If you're changing that expectation, there needs to be enough visual feedback or sound to support that. Was the getting light and dark related to anything game wise, or just passing of time? Anyway, it seems like a nice start to a couple different systems - it'll be nice to perhaps to see just one focused on. Keep up the good work!
May 18 05:20:07 8m 51s Lifelust ♥ 1 really nice art! I was able to sort of get away with just standing and attack right when they approached me, which would usually kill the enemy in one hit. Once you get hit though you get in hit stun and die very quickly. I think I would have liked to be able to slash while running to keep up with the action. Keep up the good work!
May 18 05:31:44 11m 37s Fortress Knights ♥ 1 The graphics are very interesting with the kind of blurry pixels. took a bit to figure out brick building was, game was pretty easy after that. I like how bopping the brick would defeat the enemies instantly. Keep up the good work!
May 18 05:44:19 12m 35s Piggy Butchery ♥ 1 I beat it with one pig left! Great art and nice game. Timing took a while to get, but figuring out the gameplay was pretty fun. Nice job!
May 18 06:15:30 31m 11s Baby Benjamins ♥ 1 nice game! it's like threes + idler + physics. managing the pile was hard! Would be nice to see upgrades like bills combining for you, or a spread clicker or something. Nice job!
May 18 06:32:24 16m 54s Angry Planet ♥ 1 resources depleted after 553 years. Liked the game! The drawn art style is nice and the sounds are very cute. I wish things were a bit more zoomed in so I could see it better, like where the people are on the planet. The shaking mechanic was really nice, could be cool to see more done with it. The clouds were useful for buildings, but they were very slow to move. Nice job!
May 18 06:41:45 9m 21s Contract Cleric ♥ 1 I couldn't win, but I liked the different heal types and managing it between the two characters. I wasn't sure as much what the second one did, the other abilities worked pretty well. Keep up the good work!
May 19 04:33:25 21h 51m safecrack ♥ 1 Beat it! It gets pretty fun when you spawn a lot of enemies and see all the coins come out. Nice job!
May 19 05:01:23 27m 58s Mr Moneybag ♥ 0 I had fun! Good balance of figuring what to upgrade and also careful movement. Nice job!
May 19 05:14:01 12m 38s Life Bet ♥ 1 Got to deadly difficulty. The scrolling is a bit faster than I would like, but like the idea of trading off life for greater reward. At first I thought when you died you would be able to continue but have less life, but looks like if you die that's it, so I don't know if it's a good deal haha. Keep up the good work!
May 19 05:18:04 4m 03s Rollin' Bonez ♥ 0 I like the art! I don't know how to play craps, but the game does a lot of the work for me. Not sure what exactly is happening though. So if I bet a bone and win, do I get more bones? Can I get back bones I've lost? Like the theming and music, keep up the good work!
May 19 05:23:45 5m 41s Chimera ♥ 1 Interesting! I like the reveal of what you look like at the end. I ended up getting 4 arms. Could imagine a setup where you're collecting different body parts, perhaps not even human, in order to get through the maze and becoming some kind of monstrosity. nice job!
May 19 05:32:36 8m 51s Zap Signal ♥ 0 Interesting! The art and animations are very and the voice controls are interesting. I had a bit of a hard time because of the reticle bug (my laptop is older so maybe it's a framerate thing?) but very cool to see the voice controls working. I would have liked more feedback when an enemy was hit (a sound or fx). I would see the laser hit but wasn't sure if it had killed the enemy or not. I noticed with the waah to recharge it was more likely to detect for me when it heard the beginning of the sound (so more wa-wa-wa-wa than waaaaah) haha. Nice job!
May 19 05:38:56 6m 20s Tunnel Bug ♥ 1 Interesting shader effects and transitions! The game was hard for me but I like the concept and the trade off to make the level easier. I assume the game gets harder and harder, so I assume buying some things from the shop only delays the inevitable? Anyway, nice job!
May 19 06:13:51 34m 55s Kitchen For One ♥ 0 was able to cook meat, flip meat, open drawer, turn on lights, turn off lights, open fridge, close fridge, open window, wash dishes, clean table, get bread, get cheese, wash fork, and then the screen stayed black for a while so I closed it. Got to the scene about placing mice traps though. My joke is to befriend the mice and keep them as pets, but that doesn't appeal to everyone haha. Liked the vignettes you were able to get in of everyday life, coupled with the interactions of typing something to eat a meal. The line filter on the meal videos was a cool effect. Would be nice to have some more hints as how to progress, but nice job!
May 19 06:26:34 12m 43s Inflate Me to the Moon ♥ 1 The turts got eaten 😮 though I guess they are also coins. Really funny, though I'm not sure how the metaphor of inflation works hah, though I guess that's part of the funniness. Great art, I like how my expectations had to be adjusted (turt coins, birds powered by inflation, gooey moon..). nice job!
May 19 06:33:23 6m 49s Vumpires: Night of the Bat-men ♥ 1 Was able to beat it! The balls thrown was a bit too fast for me though I did reflect back a few of them. Liked how I could bat or throw a baseball. nice work!
May 19 06:55:48 22m 25s Tecuhtliztacuhxochitl's Sacrifice Simulator ♥ 1 Played several games and able to manage things ok. Some win conditions seemed to hard to meet, like x5 lvl 7 warriors - then most people would be starving if I was able to get that many people. There's definitely a delicate balance between surviving and advancing the peoples. The whole system was interesting between farmers soldiers and civvies. I was able to get away with fighting by switching people to solider at the very last sec, but people didn't retain their levels so it undid any progression I made. Keep up the good work!
May 19 07:23:33 27m 45s Dear Substance of Kin ♥ 1 Interesting premise! I had the game crash for me at the very end when the coppersmith floats, but could be cool to see what the actions did. The drawing thing was a bit confusing to me at first because I thought I had to follow the line, but then realized I had to cross it. I could just click though as well to "cross" the line and sort of pick and choose. Not sure if any particular one changed the outcome. The pixel art is really nice, but the game is a bit too dark for me and it's hard to see what's going on. Nice job!
