LD27 — 10 Seconds

Four Bombs by AgentParsec 2014-04-24T20:25:00

I like your game. However it is kind of a pain to restart the game once you died. However, after investigating the included source code and figuring where unity stores the Playerprefs I was finaly able to re-play.

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Hot Diggity by DragonXVI 2014-04-27T18:52:00

Wow. I love it. You should consider further developing this game. It brings two of my most beloved features together: Mining for ore and upgrading stuff (in a cool and visual non-stupid-shop-dialog-window). If this was done in 48 hours, I would love to see what more time can bring.

Seamless by Jeffalisk 2014-04-28T17:55:00

The graphics are excelent and create a good mood around the whole game. I wish that you had more to for the gameplay though. Overall, I like it.

Dig Beneath The Surface by ItsSacraficed 2014-04-28T18:00:00

Just a little bit faster gameplay...
Besides that, I totaly like it. The graphics are pleasent to look at.

Wriggle Worm by gikdew 2014-04-28T17:46:00

Took me a while to find the health bar. Besides that, good for wasting a couple of minutes on it. The game continues your usual graphical style from the other games on your site.
Simple. Effective. Fun.

GroundBreaker by Figglewatts 2014-04-29T18:29:00

I am a big fan of digging games.
However I had some troubles playing those one.
I think that the way you implementet the jet thing is fairly good and quite special. However, in my oppinion, there are two flaws with it:
1. I spent a lot of time just waiting for it to recharge.
2. On some maps, even before you dig anything, you can not get back into the shop because your jet runs out before your're in it. I found that very frustrating and was quite the game breaker for me.

Another thing I find worthy re-thinking are the controls. Is there realy a need to move with WASD and dig with the arrow keys? Why not put both on WASD? I'm not sure, just a suggestion. However I like the arrows that show up in the top-right corner of the screen to indicate where you can dig to. (Without those I probably wouldn't have figured out how to dig at all.)

Overall, I grant you a 4/5. I think that you have created a solid game here that's lots of fun to play (if you aren't stuck outside of the shop).

Radix by phi 2014-04-28T19:09:00

I actually like plant growing games...
Now that that's said:

I am now more terrified of mice than I was ever before. Perhaps you could have made them a little less overpowered, for example by not letting them destroy _all_ the roots below the one they bite. Another thing that bothered me a litte is that resources are so far away from each other. This also makes it hard to catch a mouse in time, since you have to spend half a minute scrolling.

Tweak mice and the resource spacing a little and I think the game will play a lot soomther. But I wouldn't expect that in 48 hours. For that, it's great! (And it already is a lot of fun)

LD29 Jam : You Are The Magnet by robopossum 2014-04-28T19:14:00

Interesting aproach on the theme. The game is much more difficult that one would expect. Yet it's fun. I like that you added two different settings as well. Heck, even a tutorial and achievements. Well done!

All is one by Erkberg 2014-04-29T18:19:00

Well, this game quite hit me. I enjoy to see a less direct aproach to the theme, though I can't loose the feeling that you'd have prefered the "Everything is connected" theme to the "Beneath the surface one". I wouldn't mind though, since you found a creative and touching way to bring both together.

The way you interact with the world is well implemented and draws me into the game quickly. I don't realy see the need to add more puzzle/gameplay elements, because I think that a game does not alwas need to be challanging. What's more important is the experiance it provides. Which in this case was excelent.

However, I kind of lost the logical connection when "everything was everything". I mean, it makes sense that a stone was a mountain and will be a rock. To a ceirtain point it also makes sense that it's all the three at once. But how does that connect to a seed, tree, fire "evolution(?)"?

Besides that: Great job!

PS: I realy like the way you implemented the fog of war.

All is one by Erkberg 2014-04-29T18:48:00

Sometimes I come back just to see how long my comment was.

Drill Bill by mactinite 2014-04-28T19:50:00

I liked the concpet, but all the bloody flesh explosion stuff realy put me off. But besides that, good game.

Breathless by Wakka 2014-04-28T17:29:00

I'm in love with the idea. The only source of air is... underwater. It seems ingenious.
As some people already said, the levels get hard very quickly, which I didn't expect at the beginning. This sets it apart from the usual "lay pipes to some place" game. How ever, I personaly find that this difficulty rather comes from sticking all the tiles together in a way that is a pain to disasemble than that the puzzle is realy difficult.

Super Miner 2000 by ezombort 2014-04-28T17:14:00

I realy like the cool blue enemy graphics.
However, collision detection seems very buggy. I almost made it to the top on the second side, and the fell all the way down to the bottom... That was quite frustrating. Also, on the left side, you can pretty much bypass the whole thing by jumping down on the sides, since there is no fall damage. Also, the rocket wasn't realy the best weapon. It just a little slow after the fireball.

Minecart Tycoon by NikinCZ 2014-04-28T16:30:00

I like the idea, but I am a little confused by the fact that you don't have to get the cart's back from the mine in order to sell what they "harvested". Also I don't understand what the lightning(?)-symbol next to the sell icon does.

Pressure by Covenant 2014-04-28T19:30:00

Amazing. At first I found it a little slow, but after traveling a few planets far it gets quite interesting.
+1 for assisted landing.
I feel like the ammo could be a little more powerful by default, but realy, that's all. Quite amazing for 48 hours.

Beneath-Concious by igwb 2014-04-28T16:21:00

Thank you for your positive reply, actually I thought that I ruined the atomosphere completely. I'm glad that someone tells me otherwise.
I completely agree on the scrollbar, it has been bothering me the whole time, but for whatever reason unity doesn't support scrollboxes with their scrollbar on the left side... I've read about a workaround, but I couldn't get it to work.
Then I thought about placing the whole text thing on the right, but that was even worse (since you move to the right most of the time).

The Puddle by lonewookie 2014-04-28T18:56:00

I like the idea a lot. That there are more than just the three keys you need makes gameplay interesting. Also the game is quite difficult because the fish kill you instantly, even if you touch their tail only briefly. The controls make this even more difficult. Don't get me wrong here, I like how you implemented the controls, they convincingly convei the feeling of swimming. I would have like to have less swimmy controls while you are not inside the puddle though. Also I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get out of the puddle after making it to the top, due to the fact that jumping out of the water is not possible...

The graphics are pleasent.

I think that you have created a good framework for this game, implemnting powerful, yet simple, components.
Perhaps a litte more finetuning on the difficulty and more graphical diversity in the blue-ish background and this game could be even better.
Perhaps even a second level?
Oh yes, and definitly some sound.

I like the game a lot, keep it up!

Ores! by TinyMeteor 2014-04-28T16:35:00

I totaly like the idea that you have to find the ores with a radar. However, I find the radar sound extremely unpleasent.

Focus Shift by ForeignGuyMike 2014-04-28T17:50:00

I like the concept. However, I find the game quite difficult due to the sliding effects.
I like the simple graphics style. Looks very clean.

Unminor by Sébastien Bernery 2014-04-28T16:44:00

As mentioned before, the controls are quite tricky. -1 for not beeing able to use WASD and not beeing able to move backwards. good concept though.

The Moon Has Monsters! by KunoNoOni 2014-04-29T17:50:00

The game may not be very complex, but you did a wonderful job at writing and the idea is very nice. I like it. A lot!

Coin Diver by VDZ 2014-04-28T17:20:00

Quite enjoyable, I love the music and the swimming animation.
It's fun to play and the temperature adds the little interesting aspect that prevents the game from getting boring.
I can confirm that you stick on corners though. That's the only thing that realy bothers me since it cost me a few lifes beeing stuck right on the edge to an airbubble, not able to get there.

Subway Tycoon by metjm 2014-04-29T19:01:00

As stated before, controls are good and intuitive. I had no trouble getting into the game at all. Except for placing stations, I would like to be able to stay in station-place mode without the game switching it back to select. Also it seems that I can't place stations on shops very close to each other. Also I was able to place stations under any building when beeing in the underground view.

Besides that, the game suffers from something all simulator/tycoon games do: It get's repetative very quickly.

I would like to see more rail types and a way to create more complex routes. Also it is currently not profitable at all to connect shops that are far way from each other, even if there are no shorter connections to satisfy the demads. So a supply/demand calculation might be apropriate to determine your revenue.

+1 for the idea of an undergound transportation network. Very unconventional, therefor entertaining.

I'd love to see a post-compo version.

RoBroMiner by CiderPunk 2014-04-28T17:07:00

The falling rocks sure came unexpected, I realy like that. However I couldn't realy figure out how to advance to the next level. I had collected all gems and the bot was back at the surface... Nothing happened.
Nice concept though.

Beneath the Mushroom by Zer0XoL 2014-04-29T18:47:00

Yet another plant game. Just kidding.
I've seen many plant games, but not one with a mushroom.

Graphics are simple, yet straight forward.

What took me a while were the controls. I didn't realy understand what these green dots are until I accidentaly clicked one and found that they are controlable.

I was a little disappointed by the food/water not flowing through your mushroom-roots(is that even a term?).

Besides that, this game is an interesting take on the plant grow genenre. I haven't see it this way before. Perhaps with some finetuning and clearer graphics for the levels this game could become something I can imagine to play. I already spent more time on it that I thought at first.

Arctic Antics by Miltage 2014-04-28T19:34:00

+5 for whales.
No, seriously, it's amazing. It took me a few tries to figure out how to get moving the way I want, but then it was just pure fun.

Escaping of the Cave by The Tophat Demon 2014-04-27T15:52:00

Cool!
Almost impossible with a german keyboard though. You know, x and z are quite far away from each other.
