Seems that on level 2 I am stuck in the water and it's difficult to move and maybe impossible to reach the land.
@AClockWorkLemon: any of those new features you were talking about in there?
@AClockWorkLemon:
> What i did was ovveride FlashPunk's Rednder function, telling it not to clear the screen completely then redraw like it normally does, but to overwrite with a partially transperant Buffer
How come the thoughts and the player don't blur, too, then?
Hahahhaa... killer boss battle + ending!
> HTML 5: Last weeks performance finally

> them)! Now that's progress!
@Endurion: You've levied a common complaint about the web platform, but in the case of Javascript: think again!
The CANVAS element is gaining support for hardware-accelerated graphics (with OpenGLES API) and people are doing some incredible stuff with it. There is something very awesome about using GLSL from my web browser :D
Download a recent nightly of Firefox 4, or Chromium (you must enable WebGL in Chromium... somehow) to see!
What is a hyperjump? Is that just moving? Can I measure distances where neither of the end-points are my own ship?
Fun game :)
Sometimes whenever I encounter an enemy, all of my fuel is exhausted moving a small fraction of my trip!
Did you do your GUI with HTML/DOM or in CANVAS?
MSWindows only :(
Running with wine...

This requires further study!
I discovered that if you lower your shields before the "incoming" thing arrives, you will die! But then nothing else ever comes :(
I think the reason people are having negative reactions is because of the psychological impact of being virtually killed several times.
> Lost Discoveries is a Visual novel ,mixed with quiz/riddle game, the idea is that the hero Hal have strange power called " The internet" ( yeah i know ..) ,that power can give him instant access to unlimited amount of knowledge.
That really made me LOL -- very clever
@EricTheCoolDude: I second what joekinley said, it seems to be listed as a Windows game but is a Flash game. Although because I used my searchable LD19 interface, I saw yours listed anyway :)
The music really makes this game :)
There are a couple of bugs but other than that it's okay.
LD needs a bug tracker for the compo entries!
The helmet of numbness' blur effect makes the game VERY SLOW. At first I thought it was meant to be this way, but then I saw my CPU usage spike when I got it
The room that is filled with water and contains, left to right, piece of key scroll, drip, low platform, drip, door:
I was able to solve this without the float spell! It took me at least forty tries, and I really wondered whether or not that room was meant to be solved the way I did it...
Immediately after that I returned to the that contained the float spell and figured out how to solve it a much easier way than the way I had been trying
Awesome game :) needs music!
I really enjoyed your game :)
The ending was especially rewarding! "RAINBOW MODE" and the knowledge that I could suddenly go through all the barriers was a lot of fun, and then there was CAKE

My trackpad is disabled when I press keys on keyboard. Can't play many LD games for this reason :(
> A violent story about social evolution
nope
nice graphics and sound though
Your game is sort of a dream I had once.
I once had a dream that took place in a Perfect Dark (N64) multiplayer map. But when things took damage, like a person being hurt or a bicycle whose presence was unexplainable, it deteriorated into older-looking graphics. I woke up when I was reduced to a few solid-colored polygons.
Well done!
I got this game to run on GNU/Linux. You'll need to have Python, Pygame, and numpy installed. Download and extract the "Source" download. In the "painterscat" directory, you'll need to patch painterscat.py, removing the line "import pygame._view" then just run python painterscat.py
It was a little hard to figure out how to play. I died six times in a row less than a second after the game started. I survived a while, finally, by holding down space before I saw my cat. Avoid the colored squares!
Thanks for specifying "Web Unity," instead of just "Web." I will be able to try it on another system later (no Unity on this one!)
Runs well under Wine.
