LD23 — Tiny World

Big Atoms by Alink 2012-04-24T02:39:00

That was pretty good! It'd be nice if my molecule could rotate itself with the Q and E keys or something. Also, the fourth level is clearly broken :)

Antibody by fueelin 2012-04-23T22:31:00

I'm confused. The bacteria keep taking over, and nothing I do seems to stop it. I'm too dumb for this game. Not rated.

Tiny Defenders by glcoder 2012-04-24T01:37:00

Does this game have an end? The game doesn't seem to get any harder, just longer. I stopped playing with wave 11 started with 1007 enemies. Nice concept, though.

Untitled, So Far by angrygeometry 2012-04-23T23:13:00

Wow, this game is weird. Definitely a nice atmosphere. I played long enough to use an item to see more stuff, but then I got stuck. though. Now I wonder where the story was meant to go after that...

Asteroid Defender by Dr. Mo 2012-04-23T22:06:00

Yeah, more maps would have been a good idea. For the background, I painted the background all black then applied a noise filter that randomized the color of 1% of the pixels. For some reason, the pixels seem to twinkle when rotated slowly. Asteroids naturally rotate anyway, so it works.

I wonder what caused that crash. It crashed a few times in development when the function for how many seconds between enemy spawns had a divide by zero. I thought I fixed that.

Asteroid Defender by Dr. Mo 2012-04-27T02:40:00

I wanted more of a HUD, but I couldn't draw text in a consistent location on the screen. For the radar and everything in it, I had to calculate its new position in the level every frame based on the camera's current location and rotation. I was able to rotate the text, but the location of the upper-left corner of the text would skew a little bit based on the camera's rotation.

In retrospect, I could have still done a health bar for the player. Next time I compete, I'll try to set aside some time at the end for adding variety.

LD25 — You are the Villain

ARM: Alien Research Mission by Hume 2012-12-17T07:29:00

This game is loads of fun. I couldn't stop until I had over 1000 buildings "examined," and things finally started to slow down. This game has a sort of Katamari quality of picking up bigger and bigger buildings.

Zombie Tower Defence by Julgodis 2012-12-17T08:28:00

Nice game! Wow, level 30 is hard. If you don't have tons of money saved up, you can actually get stuck there.

Drive-over by celeron55 2012-12-17T09:09:00

How evil! How fun! What better interpretation of the theme could there possibly be? Genius! Too bad there isn't much of a game here. Good work doing 3D in a Ludum Dare!

Doc's Heist Starring Snuggles the Cat by hints 2012-12-17T06:49:00

Wow, there's, uh, a lot going on in this game. There were lots of buttons, and I feel like I was going all over the keyboard and mouse buttons to do stuff. Music was good for the first few minutes, but it got really repetitive toward the end of the game. I'm looking forward to the next version!

Burglary by TobiasW 2012-12-17T05:23:00

That's a really solid game! I liked running around with a light level of 2 or so to try to slip past the guards.

Waldo by h.attila 2012-12-17T07:45:00

Wow, it really is Waldo. Find Waldo! At level 9, I finally forgot what one of my targets looked like, and I was done. Great game! Could have used better audio, for sure, but every other part of this is nice!

Skeleton's Revenge by Dr. Mo 2012-12-18T04:22:00

Yeah, I made a last minute change to the player character's width so that he could fit though one-block wide gaps, but in turn that made those jumps a lot harder. I did some testing just now, and that first jump in the third area is a two frame window. Sorry about that. The goats can make it!

LD28 — You Only Get One

1 Shot Armada by aneeslol 2013-12-18T07:23:00

Good game! The enemy bullet pattern has one fatal flaw, though...

Fat the police by Zekyon 2013-12-18T06:54:00

Given some time to iron out the interface issues, this could be cool. This would totally make a good mobile game.

You have one NAND by Phyyl 2013-12-20T06:47:00

"This is the video game equivalent of James May explaining torque." -Jdetan

It's a logic gate puzzle, I get it, but...it doesn't feel like a game to me. It feels like homework. I quit the game at level 4.

There Can Only Be One... Ninja! by JeeshusChrist 2013-12-20T06:19:00

Having to use an installer is kind of a pain for someone like me going through and rating a bunch of games. This is okay because I'm probably going to keep this game installed after the compo and play it with my friends. Good job!

Hide The Baby by Nick Weihs 2013-12-20T03:37:00

Hmmmmmmmmmm .............

The hunter by MrTedders 2013-12-20T05:16:00

Doge for one, one for Doge by megaelliott 2013-12-18T08:38:00

Wow! Much ugly. Sound much missing. Yet, couldn't ending. Many difficult. Such game.

BULLETS ARE FATAL by pele 2013-12-18T07:53:00

Nice procedurally-generated maps! I want to wander around and see how far it extends, but I'm constantly fearing for my one HP life. I'd love to see a post-compo version of this with better jumping mechanics.

You can only get peace by Before Light 2013-12-18T06:25:00

I get what the game was going for, but the crazy high mouse sensitivity throws off the feeling of peace. My stream viewers were divided over the Q+Y button combination, but I think it worked. This whole thing kind of reminds me of LSD Dream Simulator in a good way.

You Only Get 1 Mirror by walaber 2013-12-20T05:47:00

Pretty good game! I could see a post-compo version of this having like 80 levels. Could use some sound, better graphics, and bigger puzzles.

Javel-ein by managore 2013-12-20T07:40:00

It's nice to see a game with some challenge. Nice implementation of You Only Get One Weapon.

The Hallowed Orb by ekun 2013-12-20T05:35:00

Please make a post-compo multiplayer version. This is awesome.

Unicycle Messenger by Sanguine 2013-12-20T04:11:00

"Makes me seasick. This camera is a sin against God." -Jdetan

The way the buildings bob up and down like that...I'm sorry, but this game actually gave me a headache too. Good job submitting a game, but this really didn't play well at all.

Bieb-Ar and the Chamber of Eternity by cambrian_era 2013-12-20T03:59:00

My friend and I both had trouble getting this game to run. Also, a cheat code isn't a cheat code if it's mandatory to beat the game. On the bright side, good job pulling off a tile engine and scrolling in HTML5. That's hard!

Bazooka guy by Wukkopi 2013-12-18T05:34:00

This is the best interpretation of the theme I've seen so far. Good job! I hope you follow this up with a post-compo version.

First Impressions by Norgg 2013-12-18T05:51:00

Whoa, you made a game about Mr. Shake Hands Man from Banzai! And it's hilarious! Great job!

One Light by baggyn 2013-12-20T04:26:00

Oh wow, I don't get to refill the lamp at all? This game is always over in about 30 seconds when I play it. Nice bump-mapped background though.
