Does this game have an end? The game doesn't seem to get any harder, just longer. I stopped playing with wave 11 started with 1007 enemies. Nice concept, though.
Wow, this game is weird. Definitely a nice atmosphere. I played long enough to use an item to see more stuff, but then I got stuck. though. Now I wonder where the story was meant to go after that...
Yeah, more maps would have been a good idea. For the background, I painted the background all black then applied a noise filter that randomized the color of 1% of the pixels. For some reason, the pixels seem to twinkle when rotated slowly. Asteroids naturally rotate anyway, so it works.
I wonder what caused that crash. It crashed a few times in development when the function for how many seconds between enemy spawns had a divide by zero. I thought I fixed that.
I wanted more of a HUD, but I couldn't draw text in a consistent location on the screen. For the radar and everything in it, I had to calculate its new position in the level every frame based on the camera's current location and rotation. I was able to rotate the text, but the location of the upper-left corner of the text would skew a little bit based on the camera's rotation.
In retrospect, I could have still done a health bar for the player. Next time I compete, I'll try to set aside some time at the end for adding variety.
This game is loads of fun. I couldn't stop until I had over 1000 buildings "examined," and things finally started to slow down. This game has a sort of Katamari quality of picking up bigger and bigger buildings.
Nice game! Wow, level 30 is hard. If you don't have tons of money saved up, you can actually get stuck there.
How evil! How fun! What better interpretation of the theme could there possibly be? Genius! Too bad there isn't much of a game here. Good work doing 3D in a Ludum Dare!
Wow, there's, uh, a lot going on in this game. There were lots of buttons, and I feel like I was going all over the keyboard and mouse buttons to do stuff. Music was good for the first few minutes, but it got really repetitive toward the end of the game. I'm looking forward to the next version!
Yeah, I made a last minute change to the player character's width so that he could fit though one-block wide gaps, but in turn that made those jumps a lot harder. I did some testing just now, and that first jump in the third area is a two frame window. Sorry about that. The goats can make it!
Good game! The enemy bullet pattern has one fatal flaw, though...
Given some time to iron out the interface issues, this could be cool. This would totally make a good mobile game.
"This is the video game equivalent of James May explaining torque." -Jdetan
It's a logic gate puzzle, I get it, but...it doesn't feel like a game to me. It feels like homework. I quit the game at level 4.
Having to use an installer is kind of a pain for someone like me going through and rating a bunch of games. This is okay because I'm probably going to keep this game installed after the compo and play it with my friends. Good job!
Hmmmmmmmmmm .............
"That had atmosphere dripping off of it." -Kinkaido
Wow! Much ugly. Sound much missing. Yet, couldn't ending. Many difficult. Such game.
Nice procedurally-generated maps! I want to wander around and see how far it extends, but I'm constantly fearing for my one HP life. I'd love to see a post-compo version of this with better jumping mechanics.
I get what the game was going for, but the crazy high mouse sensitivity throws off the feeling of peace. My stream viewers were divided over the Q+Y button combination, but I think it worked. This whole thing kind of reminds me of LSD Dream Simulator in a good way.
Pretty good game! I could see a post-compo version of this having like 80 levels. Could use some sound, better graphics, and bigger puzzles.
Please make a post-compo multiplayer version. This is awesome.
"Makes me seasick. This camera is a sin against God." -Jdetan
The way the buildings bob up and down like that...I'm sorry, but this game actually gave me a headache too. Good job submitting a game, but this really didn't play well at all.
My friend and I both had trouble getting this game to run. Also, a cheat code isn't a cheat code if it's mandatory to beat the game. On the bright side, good job pulling off a tile engine and scrolling in HTML5. That's hard!
This is the best interpretation of the theme I've seen so far. Good job! I hope you follow this up with a post-compo version.
Whoa, you made a game about Mr. Shake Hands Man from Banzai! And it's hilarious! Great job!
