Love the art style and your great story telling.

paragonraptors 2019-10-08 10:10

This was absolutely phenomenal! Extremely impressive end-product for such a short amount of time. I love that the gameplay was so simple, yet I felt complicit in everything as a player. I ran into some issues trying to get it to play right in full screen on my laptop, but definitely going to bookmark this to play on my desktop later. Fantastic job!

chocolat-endive 2019-10-08 10:19

I'm not sure I've understood everything but I really like the mood and audio is top. Not sure about the gameplay. That's quite experimental, I like it but I feel that it need something more interactive.

sleepyhippie 2019-10-08 15:58

So genuine!

fredbernardo 2019-10-08 15:58

I really like the mood and story! But got lost on the language puzzle.. the game difficult increased too quickly hehe

shadow30 2019-10-08 16:22

The graphic was very nice, good job! I loved the story until the language stuff. There I tried out many thing, but nothing worked at all. Maybe you can give us a hint, what we should do here.

holyblackcat 2019-10-08 16:23

I liked the graphics, and it looked like there is some deep lore going on. :P I've reached the 'chat in alien language' thing, and I wasn't sure what to do next. Repeating the messages I got didn't seem to do anything. I assume that's the end of the game?..

jordanvang 2019-10-08 16:47

Yeah, I want to say, what got me were the visuals and the audio. It's very stunning work I would expect to see in a final product, done in such short time! It was enjoyable to progress through the history of the world in such a funny and quirky way, and it leaves me wondering what the alien thing was... The game however kept freezing up, but I don't know if that's my connection or not. I think adding in more feedback when you pressed space would go a long way--everytime I pressed space, I didn't know if I was doing anything, so I just spammed it. But it was a really cool experience!

theufo 2019-10-09 08:46

Very interesting game. It feels so different from another ones, I've seen on LD45. Maybe I'd be better if there were some comment for each scene: era or year. Storytelling is very good, but I think I hadn't understood it completely after the scene, when the alien asked me to press spacebar for the second time. Good work!

martin-sellmair 2019-10-09 11:28

Great Atmosphere, but I too got lost at the language part, to be honest, I didn't feel like deciphering the script :/ maybe that means I just don't deserve to see the ending... Anyway, cool little game

nachtwitch 2019-10-09 11:35

Atmosphere is amazing, story is perfect, art is well crafted, this is one of the best games in this jam, love your entry

owc 2019-10-09 11:36

Very interesting entry. Looks more like art project then game. Anyway good entry. Congrats :)

wevel 2019-10-09 11:38

Cool game, the art works well, and the alien writing looks really good. Well done.

whomakeworse 2019-10-09 11:42

Your game is very good, you miss some steps of the evolution ;). But good work!!!

purpoappo 2019-10-09 11:50

Simple controls and great pixel art, good job!

florian-oster 2019-10-09 12:08

Cool graphics but i don't know if i was at the end or not.

vhalenn 2019-10-09 13:55

A really cool experience ! Loved the pixelart, audio, the mood isgreat !

realitycheck 2019-10-09 16:15

Awesome atmosphere and nice art. Sound was a little bit low for my liking, but I cranked up the volume a bit. The first part was really easy, but the language screen had me stumped. I had a few letters down, but ended up always missing one piece of the puzzle. I'm a little tired right now, so I might give it a shot later when I can remember more letters at at time ;)

Overall, I liked the entry and enjoyed the weirdness of it. Great entry.

caberu 2019-10-09 18:23

That was really interesting and the art was good! You should maybe add more immediate feedback when the space button is pressed

toxiccomputer 2019-10-09 21:38

Great graphics and story telling. Good job :)

andreas-roschal 2019-10-09 23:52

The mood and presentation in this game is definitely very unique compared to any other entry I've played yet. While I'm not completely sure what I just played, I still think it was very interesting. Well done.

marmeladki 2019-10-10 08:17

Love the mood ant the feeling that I'm making the World history ha-ha. Good job!

velvetlobster 2019-10-10 13:49

What an interesting idea, unfortunately though I had already read some comments before reading “better played with no explanation” And perhaps you are truly right, it would be better not have any info before só folks don’t read the comments and go straight for the game for its a very worthy experience, congrats for your work on it! Hope to play some more for a more accurate feedback later tonight

death-is-cold 2019-10-10 16:55

This seems like it could be a life changing game but I've spent multiple hours on the language cycle bit and I can't seem to get anywhere, even with all the letter deciphered. I get that it's supposed to be repeating things back that you just typed. I tried "sike" but that just starts me back from square one. Is this all there is? The atom's text about how this is it and you can go now makes me think there should be more but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Potential is super there, and I really like what i've seem so far, but I'd give the player something else to work with. Good job guys.

ryzy27 2019-10-10 18:48

@death-is-cold We applaud your dedication! To be honest we didn't think anyone would spend their time to decipher the messages. It was added as something extra, a "Thank you" to dedicated players, like you. Thank you so much, your comment moved us deeply.

goldenglade 2019-10-11 06:40

Visually interesting, though not very interactive, it may have worked better as a visual piece that didn't require any spacebar input. In addition, it would have been better to indicate that the language section at the end was optional. However, impressive work for such a short time period, especially with the amount of animation.

rhoka 2019-10-12 00:38

Interesting entry. I understand you were going for more of a minimalist/ visual story type thing but a bit more interactivity would've been good. I think there was more game that I didn't get to but I got stuck on a black screen with a single alien letter on it? It seems like spacebar was the only key you can press and if that's not the case it wasn't obvious. As has been said in other comments more immediate feedback when you press a button would be nice. Didn't really feel like I was interacting with it at all. Great job on the art though!

dock-frankenstein 2019-10-12 09:22

This was cool. It seemed like I was watching a movie.

martynas 2019-10-12 18:26

Love the pyramid part

excy 2019-10-12 19:52

I admit I may have spent too long deciphering the language too haha, great game.

f1krazy 2019-10-13 16:49

I like the art style, and the general idea, but I feel like there's not much of a "puzzle" to it. You just press Space and that's it. Then you get to the part with the alien language, and just like everyone else, I had no idea what to do or how to decipher it. It's very atmospheric, but I feel like it underused its potential somewhat.

marcel-oyuela-bonzani 2019-10-14 01:36

Love the mood and action of splitting the atom

mrerdalural 2019-10-15 12:56

This game reminds me of Monty Python. Any inspiration from there?

Thank you for the game! Graphics and the audio was very cool! Did I get the game? I don't think I did! hahaha! But it was still nice. I enjoyed it a lot!

humphreysmedia 2019-10-15 17:47

Audios and visuals were great, the scene with the knight was my favourite! However, some scenes were a little difficult to understand what was going on, such as the flying car and the chemstry class. Other than that, loved the journey you put me through!

purrseus 2019-10-15 18:10

Incredible journey that makes you feel things. I'm not fully sure ewhat things and I am a bit confused, but it touched something inside. I will ruminate on this. I was not dedicated enough to decipher the strange language in the end, but I got "nothing" and "ludum dare" out of it, so it might have been the credits? Anyway, great job, great presentation!

karrar-home-student 2019-10-15 18:59

nice but beginning is too boring

derek-volker 2019-10-15 19:01

Im not sure if i understood what exactly was going on. I just pressed space and the scenes went on.

Well, the graphics and sounds were great.

Good, uh, experiment?

storrs-steelers 2019-10-17 18:53

really interesting and engaging.Bit hard to review as it is meant to be a mystery but having a bit of a little hint of a sense of direction would draw more people in as it is hard for a game like this to draw an audience.but overall a really interesting game

jkniest 2019-10-28 19:34

The pixel art is really impressive. Nice job on that! Especially the animations looked very great!

In terms of gameplay it's super simple but I really was interested what comes next. I really like the idea

o2o 2019-10-29 11:03

Cool style game
