Super fun game! I think the idea is great, good take on the theme, and well implemented. I like the interplay between object size and reward. I wish the game were longer / harder! I never really had to make any tough decisions during my play though.
I enjoyed it! I'm a huge fan of space games and this was a pretty neat mix of ideas. If you make a more updated version in the future, I would pay a few bucks for it. Nice work!

Well it was an interesting concept. It would be great to buy fuel, or to had the ability to select several cargos at a time; and the space of the shift it's really big for the size of the cargos... it may be a good idea to make some 'incremental concept' and make the player chase the goal of a 'new ship with more space'. And it would be interesting if the map had several paths between which the player could decide.
Enjoyed the Resident Evil 4 like inventory system :P. Game was pretty fun to play, although, I couldn't find any way to obtain more fuel ;-;
Good job on the entry, though.
Tetris + Shipping = Fun. Nice job!
I liked the game, we can relate to the struggles, the space trips and the good feelings, it's all about 42!

Good mix of design ideas! It definetely needs some sound, like you say. A solid entry!

The concept of this game is very interesting! Great job! I know that you had a reason why there's no sounds but they really would have made the mood better!
I also found something. It's nothing major but I could move the "cargo" before it was in the ship. Was it intentional?
Anyways, great entry with fun tetris-like gameplay that only needs some audio to be even better. Nice job.
I'm honestly blown away by the good feedback and the amount of people who apparently like my game, even without sound. :) I'll try to address some of your comments here, now that I figured out how to "at" people lol. I *DO* intend to flesh out some ideas a bit more and put up a follow up on the itch.io page once it's updated, for anyone who might be interested in that. @schasm Initial idea was to start with a 3x4 cargo hold size that you have to buy upgrades for, and/or bigger ship, so that cargo is harder to fit. Also, the longer you play, it was intended (but not implemented) to have a higher chance to get larger sized cargo so it's even harder to fit it all in your ship
@lynn-young Definitely planning to update in the future. Thanks for playing!
@mattincho I like the idea of being able to select more than 1 cargo
@bladesides I haven't thought about Resident Evil in a LOOONG time, but you're right, it DOES remind me of turning that first aid spray to make it fit beside things lol
@fingamer You're definitely NOT supposed to be able to move the cargo before it's in the ship. Also I noticed on my playthroughs that sometimes you can see some already placed cargo when you get to a new area to pick up cargo (it's between the cargo selection cards)
Thanks everyone who has played / rated so far, and I'll DEFINITELY play and rate any that I've not already done (I got quite a few in, then I had to pass out) :)
Great game! It fits the theme very well in my opinion. Yeah, I agree with @mattincho 's idea of being able to select more cargo at once. Also, more planets would be cool if you decide to keep expanding the game. This is a really nice first entry!
pretty neat game! i like the inventory / tetris meets space travel theme. this would have been epic with a nice background music. It was pretty easy (and has some bugs) but I'm sure if you add more things to do this would be very addictive.
I'd love to see this game progress. Kind of like a slow-style version of tetris. I lost because of fuel so I definitely would love to see somewhere to refuel or something like that, but this is a great concept that mostly needs polishing.

Nice entry! It felt like I was playing Galaxy Trucker, the game! Thought the path looped, so my Earth cargo ended up being useless :( Had a fun time playing, though. Definitely would play a more fleshed out version of this.
Love the idea!
My playthrough ended once i ran out of fuel, but from what I could play of it, I feel there's a pretty solid concept there. I highly encourage making a post-compo version now that things have cooled down. Play around with it a bit more, I think there's a lot of potential!
Cool little idea. Loved the use of tetris style blocks. I'd suggest having some way to gain fuel so you can continue, maybe fuel takes up cargo space. I just felt like my running out of fuel was out of my control as it was random events that occurred to decrease it. I'd recommend adding some way to restart the game after you have failed. At the moment it just sits on the game over screen. Fits the theme really well.

This game fits the theme really well however it does feel like the game has a set limited length, which is determined by random occurrences. The Tetris style blocks fit the game really well and is a good addition. However, as you are only able to select one cargo i didn't run out of space on my ship and ended up just going until i ran out of fuel. Good game overall, lots of potential to build from on the idea.

Really cool! I definetely did not get to 1 million, but I tried :)
That was really nice, liked the graphic things a lot in that section where I was going to different planets. I would have wished for some music, but that was still a very good. I always like tetris block games :D
Good job dude!
I dig it! I like the mix of managing tetris-like cargo and planning what to take based on the route. The random encounters add some variability to the experience too. I know you mentioned planning to have refuel/repair stations and that would be great. Also being able to take multiple pieces of cargo from a drop would be ideal. You should definitely work on this after the jam because it has potential!

Really innovative idea. Played few rounds until I ran out of fuel. Some notes:
Would be nice to place the cargo with mouse instead of arrow keys.
Game needs sounds and music.
I would like more control over the random events that occur during the travels. Like in FTL and paradox games, you always have different options to choose from. Something like that.
I think this game would work best as a board game.
I leave humor unrated as the game is not going for that approach.
Overall the game fits the theme well. Graphics are clear and functional. Gameplay is solid and the idea is nice.
I find the best part of this game the combination of themes. Graphics could've been improved, but they work well and are simple. I had fun playing this game and really enjoyed it.
Nicely done :) Pretty neat twist on the tetris style gameplay. I could actually see this being a full game. I could especially see it as a cool mobile game. I think perhaps the only thing lacking is audio. I think some nice music and sound effects could have really kick this up a notch but overall very well done!
Good entry. I enjoyed playing it. Really missed some sound to create atmosphere.

So has anyone won in the current build?
Nice game! I was a bit confused at first but slowly worked it out. If you are going to work more on this game, I suggest adding some kind of tutorial so people know what is going on. Can you also check out my entry as well? Thanks
This game needs more development and features! The idea is nice, I immediately remembered trading part of Eiite on ZX Spectrum.
@vekstr No, and I don't believe it's possible to win the current build :) @alastairwyn I intend to add a tutorial to the post jam version, or maybe some better hints as to what you're supposed to be doing @roman-petrov Right on! I never had a Spectrum, being from the US here, but I watch a lot of gaming videos and have heard good things about them :)

Love the idea behind the game - playing tetris with the blocks was fun, although as others have stated it was usually ok to just take the biggest one, but with a bit of polish (fuel stations and repair stations etc and the other stuff you metioned) it could be a really great game. Had a lot of fun playing it - great job!

Great concept. Could have used some larger cargo, or multiple items at the same time early on.

Even without refueling I the game felt good to play
The concept is great ! nice use of the theme and nice rework of Tetris :)
The only question, we can't refill fuel?
Else, Overall nice entry, good job !!

I like how you implemented a gameplay mechanic that hinted so much at tetris.
I will say however, that the gameplay was unrewarding, and that everything was too fast. For example, when you click start at the beginning, the game was instantly there. I would have made it ade in and out a bit.
Great game, and hopeto see more from you in the future!
