Oct 4 00:29:24 Space Way ♥ 1 It plays great and the graphics are a nice touch. I felt like the difficulty curve was pretty gentle and I was able to complete all the stages. I think if you had more time you could make a lot more stages and explore new puzzle layouts. I think experimenting more with the green tile placement would be an interesting way to add variety since you can go over it multiple times. Also one small suggestion would be to decrease the angle of the text, making it a little more horizontal. Overall great job though.
Oct 4 00:41:33 12m 09s Eye of the Storm ♥ 1 I think the idea is pretty interesting. The edge of the storm is a little difficult to see until it's right up on you. It might be cool if there was a wind marker on the ui or something to show you which direction the storm was heading.
Oct 4 00:45:29 3m 56s BIT Busters : Virus Warfare ♥ 0 It looks like you zipped your Gamemaker source code. You'll need to compile an executable for everyone else to play it. I can't even open the file in Gamemaker. It looks like an interesting concept though.
Oct 4 00:55:00 9m 31s Deep Sea ♥ 1 The atmosphere is creepy and I think its an interesting idea. Seeing a countdown timer to your death definitely makes the player feel tense at all times. I think maybe 1 or 2 more systems to keep online with a different mini game each would give some more variety to the gameplay.
Oct 4 01:02:44 7m 44s Ghost peppers from someplace ♥ 1 It's fun, but I thought it was pretty challenging. The ghosts seem pretty strong. I'm not sure if the mouse needs to hover over them for a certain amount of time or if I need to click on them a number of times to kill them. In addition to the strong enemies the walls closing in made it difficult for me to get a high score. I think 5 was my highest.
Oct 5 00:04:12 23h 01m Work Until You're Undead ♥ 2 This was fun. The lighting effect is nice and makes it really creepy roaming around. The voice over was cracking me up. It would be nice if there were some more colors to the office or some kind of signpost or something to help tell the different areas apart so that the player could start to recognize where they are and orient themselves while they're exploring.
Oct 5 00:20:12 16m 00s Alien Abduction Adventures and Astral Anomalies Abound ♥ 2 This was an interesting game. My first playthrough I didn't do that well, but that I was able to plan better for the next playthrough. My only suggestions would be to fill out some the descriptions of what's going on more, and maybe add more random events.
Oct 5 00:42:42 22m 30s Hole in the Well ♥ 1 This was really fun. It made me laugh multiple times. I really liked that some interactions would influence following events or later interactions. Every now and then I would get the same prompt come up a few times, but I'm sure you could fix that after adding more content later. The voice acting was so funny. My only suggestion would be to move the UI like volume bar to down at the bottom of the screen so it wouldn't overlap with the prompts.
Oct 5 00:52:48 10m 06s Sick! Virus Busters ♥ 1 I think it's an interesting concept for a game. I like the idea of switching the power to different areas of the ship, but found it difficult to do quickly which made it too cumbersome to switch often. I think some sort of map that could be drawn as you explore or a slightly zoomed out view would help ensure the players aren't going in circles. I like the song too.
Oct 6 02:00:27 25h 07m Whack-a-Soul ♥ 1 This was fun and pretty addictive. I only meant to play 1 or 2 runs but probably ended up playing 10 or more. It feels like it could be an old arcade game. I wasn't too sure what the different color tiles meant at first which was a little confusing, but easy enough to figure out quickly.
Oct 6 02:09:14 8m 47s Mantra ♥ 0 I really like the pixel art and the controls feel good. I'm not great at these kinds of games, so I couldn't get that far, but it seems really well made for just 3 days. I think I'd like to play this with a controller more than the mouse and keyboard.
Oct 6 23:39:47 21h 30m KAAMOS ♥ 3 I didn't get any audio at first, but after I died it started working the next playthrough. I like that UI, it looks sharp. The level looked really cool too. I was getting a minor bug where the outer edge of the level tiles kept popping in and out sometimes. I did a few playthroughs but didn't find anything to interact with and ran out of gas. Is there a beacon of some sort to point you in roughly the right direction? Music and sound design was great and helped with the mood.
Oct 6 23:51:32 11m 45s Pyramyth ♥ 0 It's a fun game. It's pretty challenging and took me a couple tries to figure out what was going on. I think the game would be just as good without the timer. There were a couple times where I got stuck and there weren't any moves so I had to wait until the level shifted again. I don't have a suggestion on how to fix it though.
Oct 7 00:09:46 18m 14s Everything Must Go ♥ 1 This was really fun and pretty polished. It's crazy to think you all could make this in only 3 days! Lots of great sounds, UI animations, voice acting, and character animations. After adding more content I think this could be a great game for Steam or the Switch.
Oct 7 13:46:58 13h 37m FELL OUT ♥ 2 It's really impressive you could make all this in just 3 days. Did you use many existing assets or was everything made from scratch for the jam? I really like the art style and the music. The controls feel a little bit floaty to me, but maybe that is what you were going for. Overall it turned out great.
Oct 7 13:51:07 4m 09s Packed to the Gills ♥ 1 This was a lot of fun to play. It could easily be released as a full game if you added more content.
Oct 7 14:03:27 12m 20s Phone Booth Boxing ♥ 1 Interesting idea for a game and fits the theme well. I like the rock, paper, scissors style gameplay. I think the timer could be a little shorter to keep it moving and more exciting.
Oct 8 00:07:20 10h 03m Garbage Stack ♥ 1 This was really fun to see how high I could get it. I like that each object has it's own shape and will gradually cause you a problem for future stacking (unless they are all refrigerators). It took me a second to figure what I was doing, so if you could improve the UI a little to show in game how to play, I think that would help players get going faster. You could track the score by the weight of the shipment or the height or both!
Oct 8 00:12:14 4m 54s STARCHILD ♥ 1 I like the interactive story idea. I think it might be cool if there were a couple options in each prompt to allow the player to explore the story on their terms more. Also I think music would go along way in this one since its mostly text.
Oct 8 00:17:43 5m 29s The High Seas ♥ 1 I wasn't able to make much progress. I kept starving or getting sunk before I could do anything. I think starting in the player in a safer area first so they can get used to what's going on might be a good addition. Was I supposed to be robbing the other ships or are they all the navy?
Oct 8 00:21:24 3m 41s Unlimited space ♥ 1 Sorry I tried to play for a little bit but couldn't figure out what was going on. Maybe you can have a short tutorial level to show the players how to play in a simple example.
Oct 8 18:40:28 18h 19m Fairy Tale 2: Big Trouble in Pixie Hollow ♥ 1 This is an interesting idea for a game. I think it might be cool if there was a way to increase your tillable land every so often. I like the use of the theme. It would be more interesting for the player if there were some more ways you could interact with what is going on during each season after the initial layout is done.
Oct 8 18:47:45 7m 17s CARGOMBULATOR ♥ 1 I like the atmosphere. The controls took a little getting used to. I think it might be worth trying a little bit more zoomed out camera for the isometric view. There were a few times I thought that might help the player view the scene better. Good use of theme.
Oct 8 19:09:27 21m 42s OneSocket ♥ 1 It's a neat idea for a horror game and a good use of the theme. It took me a min to figure out how to play, even after the tutorial. Maybe instead of the clock counting up to an unknown number, it could count down instead so the player can have an idea of the finish point. Checking for the monsters was always tense. One more suggestion would be to narrow the side movement bars. I accidentally kept turning when not intending to.
Oct 8 19:23:43 14m 16s Island City Builder ♥ 2 It reminds me of playing strategy games like Tropico. I like the balance between income, tech and attractiveness. It keeps the player always having to think about the best build for that moment in time. I think it would be cool if you could destroy a building you built earlier and rebuild there. Maybe its already an option but I didn't see it.
Oct 9 02:23:33 6h 59m Tiny Rogue Rumble ♥ 0 This was a fun dungeon crawler. I liked getting loot and exploring around. Things like traps and obstacles were a little difficult to tell what they were at first. I think an alternative way to move the view might be a good option (hold right click and move or even WASD or arrow keys). Also the defend sound volume was up really high when I was playing. Might just be my computer though.
Oct 9 02:35:51 12m 18s The Bullet Box ♥ 1 This was more challenging and interesting than I thought it would be initially. I like that your shots bounce off the walls and become a hazard for you. It gets really crazy once several enemies are spawning in at once. I like that you can hold a shot to make it bigger as well. Good use of the theme too. Maybe an update could include different weapons that have different bounce effects, etc.
Oct 9 02:49:14 13m 23s Gremlin Books Incorporated ♥ 1 This was an interesting game. I like the voice over a lot. When rotating a book to see what section its in, it seems like I had to rotate it all the way around to the back. It would be nice if the side label was viewable so it could speed up that confirmation. Also, is there a way to remove a book that you have placed?
Oct 9 03:00:18 11m 04s Nice Park! ♥ 2 Cool concept and implemented well. It's easy to understand how to play and controls feel great. Good use of theme too.
Oct 10 02:28:36 23h 28m Escape from the clutches ♥ 1 Nice character designs and animations. It took a few rounds to get into the flow of the game. It feels kind of like a turn based fighting game which is pretty cool. It might be cool if there was a visual way to show the cooldown time for a move (like color gradually changing back when it's ready to use again or a progress bar) so the player knows what is about to come back to be available again.
Oct 10 02:43:26 14m 50s Before The Trip ♥ 2 I like the idea. Some of the small items I wasn't sure what they were. Maybe in the UI somewhere it could say what the item you picked up is. I think adding a little bit of challenge to the game would add a lot to the experience. I think it could still be a relaxing game, but adding just a little bit of a challenge would go a long way. Music and art are both great!
Oct 10 02:57:04 13m 38s Co2pia ♥ 1 I couldn't figure out how to play. I tried it for a little while but it kept flooding before I knew what was going on. Is there a tutorial mode? The UI is a little difficult to figure out.
Oct 11 00:58:27 22h 01m Seat Fighter ♥ 1 This was fun. It was a little hard to figure out which moves were being effective and what wasn't, but once I switched to only shoving, I became a master! Great use of theme.
Oct 11 01:14:02 15m 35s Keep It Burning ♥ 3 I like the main mechanic to keep gathering resources to stay on fire. Maybe it would be interesting to respawn the additional gas cans if the player dies? I fell through a couple of platforms that I thought should have been safe. I'm not sure if that was intentional to trick the player though.
Oct 11 01:27:30 13m 28s 3 Spots Castle ♥ 1 I had fun playing this. I think the horses should be a little stronger since they are taking up two slots. Also, I think it might be nice if the market was only 1 slot and provided less money. It's too risky to have a market for long when it takes up 2 slots.
Oct 11 01:44:03 16m 33s Lockdown: 1986 ♥ 2 This was fun to play through. It would be nice if items you can interact could highlight if you mouse over them. The art and music were great!
Oct 12 01:20:17 23h 36m LIGHTDANCER ♥ 1 The game plays great. The sound effects are really good. I didn't hear any music though. Maybe it's a bug or there isn't any yet.
Oct 12 01:27:15 6m 58s Prickle ♥ 2 The puzzle design is clever and challenging. The game is simple enough to understand quickly and get to playing. Art and sound are top notch too.
Oct 13 00:46:09 23h 18m Apocalypse Mall ♥ 0 I had fun playing. There were a few collision issues though. Once a survivor got stuck to a plant and I couldn't move them away. Had to switch to another character. Also some of the teal walls to the right of the start area didn't seem like the collisions or maybe the depth wasn't set up correctly. Overall concept was fun to play.
Oct 13 00:53:33 7m 24s Last Light ♥ 1 I really liked the lighting system. It adds a lot to the game mood. The jump felt a little off at first (like the character was too heavy), but then I figured out if you hold it, you can jump further. In level 2 there is an area where it looks like there is platform that might carry you up to a new level, but it wasn't moving (maybe I was missing something). But then I checked to the left of that platform and fell through the level and couldn't get back out. I wasn't getting any sound effects or music, maybe a glitch on my end though. Overall it was really cool.
Oct 13 01:04:25 10m 52s Out of Side ♥ 1 I liked the controls and overall gameplay. It seemed pretty challenging at first until you realize there is no timer counting down or anything so you can take it as slow as you want. The moving obstacles added a lot to the challenge. I wasn't getting any music. If there isn't any, I think it would be a good addition.
Oct 13 23:38:23 22h 33m No Gloop, No Glory ♥ 2 This was fun and a neat idea for a game. I think it might be good to spawn the player away from the enemy more to get used to the movement and basic mechanic, then add in the enemy. I kept spawning right next to the enemy and if I didn't move immediately I would be killed. I think maybe turning the enemy AI aggression down a little bit might make it more fun to play too. Its fun right now, but quite challenging.
Oct 13 23:43:01 4m 38s Phobia ♥ 1 I couldn't figure out what to do. Once I got to the second dialog box in the closet, I couldn't select the 'Yes' option and the 'No' option just ends the conversation. After that I couldn't find anything else to interact with. Seems like a good start though. Nice sounds and pixel art.
Oct 14 00:11:23 28m 22s The Not-So-Spacious Spaceship ♥ 1 I think the game is solid, but I have a few small suggestions. I think the resources take up a lot of the player's view, so shrinking them a little might be helpful. I know the ship is supposed to feel small, but I think it might be a little too small. Navigating it can be challenging. Maybe extend the hunger timer more so they player has more time to get oriented and explore. Also it was a little difficult to figure out where to take the resources that I was finding at first. Overall it was fun and I think it's a good start.
Oct 17 01:59:16 73h 47m Pazuru Packing Sushi ♥ 3 Great entry! It plays well, has a chill soundtrack, and great pixel art. I'm glad there is no timer so it can be kind of a relaxing puzzle game, instead of a frantic 'make the order' game. The ingredients are a little easy to mix up. A couple of times I couldn't get the order ready, and then realized I misread the items in the order.
