| May 1 03:49:36 | Tribal Tension (Twitch) | ♥ 4 | This game is fantastic, and everyone should sit in for a few rounds. I've been pretty active on chat, and what I've got based on what you've built is... "MOAR PLZ." The gameplay, while intentionally simple, still feels like there's room to include more features. Still, as is, it's really fun. The game is decently bug free (and for this media, that's surprising) The graphics are simple, but it works for this. Thank you for this title. | |
| May 1 03:59:20 | 9m 44s | Terraform | ♥ 1 | Not a bad game! The graphics and mood are definitely the highlight of this title. I did feel like the controls were a little dry, as every action requires the same input. That being said, I had fun playing it! It was really well developed for 72 hours! Thanks for sharing it. |
| May 1 04:16:09 | 16m 49s | "It's a small world!" | ♥ 2 | I thought your game was very well crafted! It looks like your graphics were 3rd party, but you did a great job of providing a unified aesthetic. Your game had a very interesting premise, and I enjoyed playing it! I did have a couple notes. The game was difficult to control, and the hints didn't really sink in for a while leading to a frustrating beginning. I would broaden the view a little and let us see more of the area around us. Right now the car deaths feel a little arbitrary. Thanks for sharing! |
| May 1 04:32:16 | 16m 07s | World Destroyer | ♥ 1 | Looks like it's been said before, but you've made a great game here. The permanent bullets offer a uniquely creative answer to the problem of spamming bullets. The one thing I did dock you a couple points on is your audio- You should probably not have the song reset every time the player died, but instead play continually throughout the level. Still, excellent game, well done! |
| May 1 04:45:40 | 13m 24s | Naziverse | ♥ 2 | Pros: Your graphics and mood were very much on point. The sound and music is fantastic. The controls for the game are tight and well designed. Cons: Your game was too challenging. Enemies can shoot at the player before you can ever see them, and has a constant rate of fire that means the player either perfectly times their jumps over and over, or die quickly. It's a shame, because your game looks and sounds amazing, and I would love to experience more of it. |
| May 1 04:54:10 | 8m 30s | Dungeon In a Bottle | ♥ 1 | Fascinating and interesting mechanic. It was exceptionally well designed, and I encountered no bugs. I honestly can't find any faults in this title. Brilliantly done. |
| May 1 05:00:39 | 6m 29s | Lottery: you judge them I judge you | ♥ 1 | Congrats on putting this together! I had fun trying out your game. It was well designed, and functioned without bugs. The graphics and aesthetics felt cohesive and well put together. I felt the point you were trying to get across was a little heavy handed, but I still really appreciate that you put together a game that makes people think. Thank you so much for sharing this! |
| May 1 05:25:21 | 24m 42s | Planet Bash | ♥ 1 | An excellently done game with interesting gameplay mechanics. The world crushing is a lot of fun to do, your graphics are on point, and the music (especially with two alternating tracks) is really well done. |
| May 1 05:32:15 | 6m 54s | Destruction Zone | ♥ 1 | Hey! I think you did a great job of embracing the theme. For a first LD, this is really well done! Your controls were tight, and I feel like the progression was nice. The only complaint I have is the music is a bit much. Maybe turn the sound effects down and leave the music where it is. Anyway, great job! |
| May 1 13:56:46 | 8h 24m | Skylets | ♥ 5 | An over all stellar game. I like that your game makes a point about conservation without being too on the nose about it. I did find slipping between the world shards did not always give me a gameover, and there was no easy way to quit without Alt-F4ing. Graphics were great, music was awesome. Thank you so much for posting this! |
| May 2 00:17:10 | 10h 20m | Techium Eclipse | ♥ 0 | Really solid title! The controls are very unique, and the idea is really fun to play! My only complaint is that the game is a little hard to comprehend when you first pick it up. Very well done! Thanks! |
| May 2 00:24:18 | 7m 08s | Fast & Faeries | ♥ 2 | In my history of rating ludum dare games, I don't think I've ever found one I felt worthy of a 5 star review, with a 5 in every category. Your game is the first. Its simple absurdity made me laugh from the outset, the controls felt pretty tight and well put together. Your music was gorgeous, and I want to meet your artist. I played your game for a considerable amount of time, a treat I don't often enjoy when checking out ludum dare titles. Most of them are fun concepts I'd play more if it were more developed. I would love to see a post jam of this. You guys have something really special here. |
| May 2 00:33:56 | 9m 38s | HexCity | ♥ 2 | Very fun and interesting logic puzzle. Very cool feel for the theme, and I enjoyed playing it. The graphics are simple and inelegant, but they are definitely cohesive. The sound was simple, and good for what was there, but I felt like there was more that could have been done with it. Over all, I really liked the idea! Thank you for sharing it! |
| May 2 00:37:40 | 3m 44s | Just Another Pocket Universe | ♥ 2 | This was a valiant effort, but I don't think you had enough in your game to really sell the concept. The controls were a little wonky. I really liked the graphics you were able to put together, though, and the music was really good! Thanks for sharing this. :) |
| May 2 00:48:10 | 10m 30s | Routine | ♥ 1 | This was an excellently executed game, with fantastic graphics and music. The mood was on point, and the concept was very original. The game's mechanics didn't... *grab* me and hold me, but I think with some more development and a couple more mechanics, you could really have a great, long lasting game. |
| May 2 05:43:47 | 4h 55m | Meteor Jam | ♥ 5 | Solid title, with tight controls and great design. The graphics were pretty great for a jam, and the sound was awesome. The only complaint I have is that the gameplay feels a little one dimensional. If there was a post-compo version, I'd love to see some more mechanics in the game to extend its play. Over all a great title, and I had fun playing it! |
| May 2 05:55:58 | 12m 11s | Polar Protector | ♥ 0 | Great little game! Controls were tight, and the aesthetics were really well put together. the gameplay was a lot of fun, but I was a little confused by the idea until I played it a couple times. I'd love to see some kind of progression in the game, aside from what I assume was more rapidly spawning enemies. Aside from those minor problems, the game was excellently put together! Thank you for sharing it. |
| May 2 06:13:16 | 17m 18s | Marbleverse | ♥ 2 | Holy crap, I've never laughed out loud at a game before, but your ending made me crack up for like five minutes. Stellar game play, very original concept. I had a lot of fun. The only thing I didn't like was how chaotic the clicking got towards the end. But seriously, nihilism has never been more funny. xD Your graphics were great, the music was on point, and aside from my minor quibble about the gameplay, it was really, really well executed. Thank you! |
| May 2 06:37:24 | 24m 08s | Annulus | ♥ 0 | Fascinating game, and well designed. I really enjoyed the aesthetics and music of the game, and your premise was fun to explore. I will say the controls got a little confusing at times, especially with how the camera moved. Over all I had a great time with this project. Thank you for sharing! |
| May 2 06:42:57 | 5m 33s | Hassan's Ants | ♥ 2 | I think this is a solid first attempt, and you should definitely be proud of what you've accomplished here. The graphics are great, and I really like the aesthetic you've crafted for this game. I found the game a little difficult to understand and couldn't figure out how to stop them from dying at the base of the first hill, so I'd focus on cleaning up the mechanics and making them easier to understand. Still, your take on the theme was fun and original, and I enjoyed the idea behind what you're trying to do. I hope you make a post-compo version! Make sure to play other games in the "Games" tab to increase your coolness and your visibility. Good luck! |
| May 3 05:30:32 | 22h 47m | Shrink | ♥ 1 | First, congratulations on completing the jam! The gameplay is interesting, but feels a little one dimensional. I didn't really think there was enough challenge to the actual mechanics. The game might have benefited from obstacles preventing me from my goal. Your aesthetic is GORGEOUS... except the player and the one power up. I loved the low poly feel of your world, and even if you had just used a cube, a stock red cube object from Unity without even a material to make it visually distinct just throws me right out of the immersion you did such a great job in building. The music is fantastic, and I have zero complaints about it. I enjoyed the hoppy electronic sound, and it fit your game perfectly. I really hope you do more with this project. Try adding deterrents to the game such as barriers the player cannot cross, enemies that would kill the player, or objects with unusual movement like teleporters or three dimensional movement, and with those tools, give us more worlds to steal bananas from! All in all, this was a great project, with a lot of potential and a lot of ground to build up from. Thank you for sharing it! |
| May 3 13:46:01 | 8h 15m | Asteroid Survival | ♥ 6 | So for a first attempt at Ludum Dare, you should be damn proud. I finally figured out the control scheme (boy howdy, was that a trick...) and when I actually got in to the meat of your game it was a surprisingly well designed if staid survival game. A few tips- A help screen would go MILES in making this game more playable, and reduce the frustration of oncoming players. Also, label your UI. Edit - and some kind of selection icon to hover over a machine to let players know that a certain building is selected. :) For new players: Click on machines to select them. The ui on your left builds new buildings at the cost of metal parts. Clicking the items (Food water and air) will fill the various need bars you have. The fourth item is for construction. When you click a building and it's selected in the right ui, the first button will move the building, and the second button will collect its resource for you. Not sure what the third button does. This game is an excellent first start. I would love to see what you could do with this game in post jam :) |
| May 3 13:55:16 | 9m 15s | Communitas | ♥ 1 | What an interesting idea! I loved the concept, and it turned me on to a phenomenon I wish I hadn't totally missed out on. This idea is inspiring, and I'd love to see more done with it :) |
| May 4 01:37:57 | 11h 42m | Psycho Paul | ♥ 1 | Very well executed, but I felt the gameplay was a little disjointed, and the game didn't tell a decent narrative. The physics worked very well, and the game, for what it was, functioned extremely well for a jam! I'd love to see what you could do in a post jam version ^^ |
| May 4 01:43:55 | 5m 58s | Small World Collider | ♥ 1 | Well executed and pretty bug free. Fun gameplay but feels a little too frantic with 3 balls. The earth with its missles was a nice touch! |
| May 4 01:54:11 | 10m 16s | Snowglobe | ♥ 1 | Great game! Well done! |
| May 4 02:05:29 | 11m 18s | Slice of Life | ♥ 4 | Great game, well executed, would LOVE to see a post compo version! |
| May 4 02:42:41 | 37m 12s | Mind's Eye | ♥ 1 | FANTASTIC game!! |
| May 4 03:43:55 | 1h 01m | Agoraphobia | ♥ 1 | Great game! Great concept, very artistic. a wonderful example of telling a story through gameplay |
| May 4 04:08:11 | 24m 16s | Orbitunes | ♥ 2 | Great, great little game to play around with, and extremely innovative! |
| May 4 04:33:56 | 25m 45s | Prison Blues | ♥ 1 | Great game, great mood. Story was interesting, but could have delivered differently. |
| May 4 04:41:30 | 7m 34s | The Small Black | ♥ 1 | Thank you so much for the play! A humble beginning, but really solid mechanics. I can't wait to see what you do next! |
| May 4 04:51:47 | 10m 17s | The Inner Lock | ♥ 1 | Great game, very creepy. Perfect mood, I hope you take this game farther! |
| May 5 02:36:20 | 21h 44m | STACK | ♥ 1 | Great, fun game with a lot of potential! |
| May 5 02:48:45 | 12m 25s | Intergalactic Gold Rush | ♥ 1 | Great game with really fun mechanics. I wish the mechanics shined through in your game a little more clearly, but over all, this is a game I see myself playing over and over! Thanks so much for sharing it! Consider multiplayer in the post jam? <3 |
| May 5 02:59:20 | 10m 35s | Angery Ships Only | ♥ 3 | This game was a lot of fun to play, and I really think you accomplished something special here. I'd love to see a post jam version, my only complaint is I don't think you hit the theme very well. Everything else was awesome! |
| May 5 03:14:31 | 15m 11s | Strangeness | ♥ 1 | Great game, lots of fun! Needs some tutorial levels, and more time will make an awesome, complete feeling game. Great work! |
| May 5 03:24:11 | 9m 40s | Carefulzilla | ♥ 1 | You can tell you have a good title when people are screen capping their scores XD So close to a perfect game, only problem is I could actually move my feet such that I could no longer control them. Otherwise, an amazing title! |
| May 5 03:34:23 | 10m 12s | Down the Rabbit Hole | ♥ 4 | Great game, great aesthetic, awesome twist on an established board game. You really made Onitama your own! |
| May 5 03:43:25 | 9m 02s | Something Something | ♥ 0 | Really fun art and take on the theme! I want to see what you can do post jam with more time! |
| May 5 03:56:31 | 13m 06s | liftoff | ♥ 1 | Great little title! I loved that you tried to mix trading games with orbital physics, but I don't think it worked very well. I'd love to see what you could do given more time, because I think you're off to an awesome start! |
| May 5 04:31:00 | 34m 29s | Until Tomorrow | ♥ 1 | Great atmosphere, great adherence to theme, fun story (and yeah, I read the pillars and got the joke :P) Really well done! |
| May 9 02:28:28 | 93h 57m | Minos' Pond | ♥ 2 | Great little title! I thought it really stood out in mood and aesthetic. The gameplay felt a little staid, but it was really, really well executed. Your tutorial and how much content you generated in a weekend is inspiring! Great job over all! |
| May 9 02:48:17 | 19m 49s | EAT | ♥ 0 | Great graphics, audio, and gameplay! This game is a real standout. It looks like the character is invincible, which I didn't like, and the lasers felt a little uncounterable, but otherwise, 5 star audio, 4 star mood. You guys really killed it! |
| May 20 16:41:38 | 277h 53m | Hopeless Void | ♥ 1 | I really liked the concept of your game, but I didn't realize I could build things until about half way through. I definitely think there's room to expand this concept and do more with it, but it currently feels like there's a single solution puzzle thing going on. I felt the changes in music were a really nice touch, and the mood is spot on. Graphics could use a little work, which is fine for a jam. Also, next time I would opt out of humor. Thanks! |
