LD59 — Signal

Trail Signal by uvwar 2026-04-21T16:55:18Z

An original mechanic that, unfortunately, doesn't fully realize its potential. At first, it's hard to figure out what to do or what the lines are for, at the start, I didn't even see the ball, and the camera work isn't very engaging. It would be nice to have “tutorial” levels that explain how to draw a line, how to position the ball correctly, what the different sounds are, etc.—all while helping the player get the hang of drawing lines and then letting them play freely, because right now I’m really struggling to make a cool sound. But well done for the mechanics, it’s still a great game!!

Signalbound by MSiddeek 2026-04-21T14:44:31Z

Maybe it's just me, but I can't seem to open the itch.io link

Ship Happens by Cambryx 2026-04-21T10:04:59Z

The core mechanics are really cool, the game looks great, and the sound design is top. It’s also cool to have different boats, it adds variety. Also, it would be nice to have like, three levels, where you have to collect a certain amount of resources to complete one level and after u change the levels. Also, adding traps in the water to create different strategies, for example, a mine that appears every 15 seconds and stays in the game for 10 seconds, could be fun. But otherwise, excellent game! Well done!

Trainsmission by WiredOverload 2026-04-21T21:21:30Z

WOW, the game is fully featured, the character designs are beautiful, and all the little animations are great, I love the music, the mechanics look cool (I say that because this kind of game isn’t my favorite, but I have to admit they’ve put in a lot of effort), the game itself is beautiful, the UI is really cool, the only thing I can say is that for the tutorial section, you should include images in addition to the text, because having just text is a bit of a pain. But well done, it’s incredible that you pulled this off for a Game Jam!!!

FIRE WALK WITH ME by Fadex 2026-04-21T14:26:47Z

The game is fun, but I feel like to put out the fire, the fire has to be facing you and not facing the thing that’s spraying water—that’s a shame. Otherwise, the atmosphere is really cool. Well done!

Earworm by Maxwell3000 2026-04-21T15:17:59Z

The game is fun and has a great variety of mechanics, not much to complain about. Well done!

Fading Signal by Doppler Effect 2026-04-21T10:16:36Z

The game is fun and easy to pick up, but it’s still interesting enough to make you think a little. The music is nice, even if it’s a bit jarring at times. I really like the visual and audio changes that happen when you move away from the signal. Well done!

Undefined signal (unfinished) by zer0nim 2026-04-21T15:07:45Z

That looks pretty good for a first time, well done!

Cleared To Land by JHax 2026-04-21T19:28:20Z

The game does a great job of incorporating the theme into its mechanics, which is really interesting. The concept is solid. That said, it can be a bit tricky to get the hang of at first because of the variety of mechanics. Still, it’s a really good game with great art and chill music. So, well done!

Pulse Rescue by Soul Grinder 2026-04-21T17:13:04Z

The game is good, but it’s a shame it’s a bit too linear. It would have been nice to have three ships on the map, or to have ships positioned in tricky spots to make maneuvering more challenging. There’s a lot of potential for great things in this game. But the foundation is excellent for a Game Jam, well done!

Seagnal by Pikario 2026-04-22T10:16:29Z

A really great game, both fun and funny. The graphics are cool, and the voice acting and music are nice, even though they’re homemade. The boat’s movements are cool. Just be careful with the level design, I don’t find it very intuitive. Maybe mark the “mountains” or things like that on the map, or, for example, have three maps: one showing where the mountains are, another showing where there’s a river, and another showing where there’s a river but with rocks. In any case, the game is great, well done!!

Tower Signal by Pierre-Marie 2026-04-22T09:54:00Z

Wow, the graphics are great, the music is super cool, and the gameplay is really deep, there’s so much you can do. I found myself thinking, “Wow, it’s amazing how much is in here,” so I really have to give you credit for pulling this off for a game jam. Obviously the balance needs work, but I’m only mentioning that to point out something to improve, because of course there’s no way to balance it all in three days. So well done!!!

Cosmic Relay by ghettobastler 2026-04-21T19:48:34Z

The game is really excellent for a Game Jam, the background music is super cool, the interface is beautiful, and the mechanics are fun and varied. It’s hard to do better than this, the only issue is that the music glitches when you repair a component. But well done!

Save the Plane by CandyZ 2026-04-20T20:42:34Z

It's not easy to finish the game, the concept is pretty cool, but you just have to watch out for how fast the birds appear.

S.I.G.N.A.L. by BigDippers 2026-04-21T21:05:38Z

The game is great, the atmosphere is cool, the music is chill, and the mechanics for handling lots of different situations at once are really interesting. On the other hand, I find the game pretty hard (or maybe I’m just terrible at it), and I also feel like the “signal” theme isn’t used very much. But it’s still a really good game, well done!

Signal Code by aboom 2026-04-20T20:54:20Z

The game is a lot of fun, and the concept is great, but maybe there should be more choices in the game, I think I only had three options, and in the shop, I was able to buy everything without really having to think about it. So try to include more choices more often and give players the chance to think through a strategy. But well done!

SpyMaster by vanny96 2026-04-20T21:19:56Z

The game is really good, it has a lot of different content and characters, great music, and clean UI. It's really impressive for a game jam, well done!!

Make Way for the Supreme Leader by starr 2026-04-21T15:01:50Z

The game is really cool, the mechanics are great, and the atmosphere and visuals are also fantastic. However, you end up doing the same thing over and over; it might be interesting to add random events that, for example, trigger a protest and block off entire streets, etc. It’s also a shame that you don’t get a chance to look at the roads and the city, since the game doesn’t have a pause function. But in any case, it’s a really good game, well done!

Resonance Protocol by PudinKiller 2026-04-22T08:51:21Z

The game is good, the visuals and animations are great for a Game Jam, and the mechanics are fun, However, I find that the transitions between waves are too fast. Personally, I would have preferred to be given time to fully understand the tutorial, learn what the new buildings do, develop a strategy, and then press a button to launch the first wave (this is very personal, but I still respect this design choice). Well done!

Low signal by Winbion 2026-04-21T12:12:46Z

It's an interesting game, the weapons and the enemies are cool, but the sound effects for the weapons can be a bit jarring at times. The game is still a lot of fun, though; the only downside is that the theme is only lightly touched upon by the signal you have to protect, and none of the gameplay mechanics really tie into the theme. Still, well done!

Low signal by Winbion 2026-04-21T13:59:53Z

@winbion You quickly get the hang of the game, but when you first need to upgrade your antenna, it can be hard to figure out where to tap. It would also be nice to have a prominent indicator in the interface showing that you can open the inventory to view your resources or set your skills. As for the resources, they’re pretty easy to figure out.

Send the Signal by Pavel Goncharov 2026-04-22T09:32:26Z

The game is fun, with great music, cool visuals, and a really good interface too. On the other hand, I find the vehicle controls complicated— it’s hard to be precise. Wouldn’t it be better if, when you press to go left or right, the ship stays stationary and only the rotation changes, and when you press to go backward, the ship moves backward without changing its rotation? In any case, these are just details, but the game is still very good for a Game Jam, well done!,

Laser Beat by Gotlib 2026-04-21T10:33:51Z

AMAZING, the music is cool, but the best part is the gameplay mechanics, which are well-designed and very well implemented. I would have loved to see more levels. It’s cool that you added sound effects; the game is really interesting, and if you added more types of sounds and different blocks with unique functions, it would make the game even better. But for a Game Jam, it’s excellent. The only thing is that the game doesn’t really tie into the theme, even though I can see a connection. But well done!

FISTAL by Splix 2026-04-21T06:52:49Z

Hi @ricna @vydra! Sorry about that. I just updated the ZIP file with a cleaner folder structure. If you'd like, you can try playing it again, it should work (I hope). It should work much better with Wine now! Thanks for the feedback!

FISTAL by Splix 2026-04-21T09:49:38Z

@jianghekai I tried compressing it with 7-Zip, but I couldn't make the folder any smaller. But thanks for pointing that out, and Hope you can still enjoy it!

Polar Expedition by Saumchick 2026-04-21T12:24:31Z

The game is cool, the setting is nice, and the art style is great. However, I don't think the music really fits the game, and the vehicle handling is too sluggish, which didn't give me much freedom of movement and kind of took away some of the fun. Still, the game is really good, well done!

Signal by PyDev 2026-04-20T20:58:53Z

The game is cool, just try to make it a bit harder by adding things like different types of traps or enemies, and try to include a goal, like finishing the level with 4 wires. Just a heads-up: the last level has a bug, and I can't do anything there. But other than that, great job! (The music is really cool.)

Lethal Signal by NullMoxy 2026-04-21T14:15:25Z

The concept of the game is really cool, but there are some issues that I find make the experience a bit unpleasant. First of all, correcting the messages by changing the frequency is fine, but when I see that Step 1 is corrupted, I change the frequency, but in the meantime the message has moved on to step 2, so I have to wait for step 1. Except that’s when the corruption happens again, so I have to change the frequency, and it goes on like that the whole time, which is a bit of a shame. So pay attention to when the corruption occurs and try to make it so that when you change the frequency, the current message switches to a readable mode. I don't know if that makes sense, but in any case, well done!

Crash! The Great Choco Cookie Adventure by zpdlf003 2026-04-22T09:24:36Z

The game is fun, though I'm not really sure how it ties into the “signal” theme. The music is cool, the visuals are nice, and the gameplay is pretty basic, but with the sounds and atmosphere, it's still a lot of fun. Just be careful with the level design, got stuck at one point. But well done!
