LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Chicken farm by Hadik 2022-10-06T19:36:24Z

It's pretty neat. Graphics are well done. Felt a little slow burn at the beginning though for me. I also agree about the pop up disappearing when you click off it rather than having to X it every time. I also do think as well if there was sound it would've popped it up several notches. I'm not sure about collision boxes, but some times the chicks would walk right through the water/food troughs. Good job overall!

Tiny Jukebox by bobo_oh 2022-10-07T19:01:13Z

Wow, that's pretty cool! I like how you didn't go overboard (or maybe you couldn't time wise?) on all the graphics and kept it fairly focused while giving the songs the most attention. It's deceptive cause it looks so simple, but the song writing probably took the most time. Great job!

Fun Time Games by LuckyFeathers 2022-10-06T20:14:57Z

That was really fun. It was simple but you played off the repeating games in different ways. Art style and music were on point! Great job!

Miller's Palm by kr4ft3r 2022-10-06T23:14:46Z

It's neat! I'm a huge fan of escape rooms in general and so this type of game was really interesting to me. The mood was set nicely and the art, albeit looking a bit rushed given your timeframe, helped set the atmosphere. I think it would've been more interesting if things you moved were reset differently to give the sense of the memory lapse aside from the opening line. Also the 2nd line of looking out the window was cut off unless I went into fullscreen. Great job overall, especially considering how much time you had!

miam by yopox 2022-10-06T19:58:34Z

It was pretty fun. I think I'm in the same boat where some of the keys made you think of different things. Perhaps limiting or naming things in the letters that don't overlap (B- buns, A- bacon?, and probably why the S- patty is "steak" and not "beef"?). I played another burger maker game here and you had to click on things but the naming convention was different cause of region I guess? I thought I'd do better here but it's almost the same.

I also thought "backspace" removed a single ingredient as opposed to the whole burger, but I guess that's part of the challenge. I like the look of everything and the Chef changing ingredients to make it so you almost have to throw out a burger if that ingredient is gone is an interesting mechanic. Great job overall!

FLV-51 by landosilva 2022-10-04T21:55:04Z

Great game! Love the look and theme and plays nicely. There are some times where I stick to a wall when trying to drop in a hole but I guess I need to jump in.

Long Shot by F1Krazy 2022-10-10T22:32:20Z

Haha, cool beans! The intro got me. Felt really authentic to the era this is imitating.

The simplicity of the graphics fit well into everything, the music was also a good match for it. The idea for the 10 seconds is neat, but didn't really need to be used if you're just dodging for most of it. Just nice to see someone else who made a bullet hell game for the jam. Well done!

Thornscatter by KeithSwanger 2022-10-06T22:39:09Z

The mood is definitely set by the art and the music. I can't decide if it needed sfx, as I was kinda expecting it, or if it's better without it as the music sets the tone. I'm undecided. For sure need to decide how to attack the thorns as it removes the placed thorns but you also set your own. Great job!

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-04T21:16:56Z

256 years!! It's really well made. Took a little for me to figure out what him getting angry did but it was all good from there. I like how there's no lose mechanic really, just score based and doing it better. I did notice a few parts (mostly at the end) where a bunny behind another bunny shows up above/in front of the front bunny. Amazing job!

Burger Rush by defilerzero 2022-10-07T20:38:39Z

It's pretty fun! I've tried a couple burger makers in this jam now, and it's neat to see the differences people can do. Much like some of them, it gets a bit complicated, for me at least, when there's different letters for items that start with the same letter. One thing I do like, is the ingredients don't have to be in a specific order. Great job overall!

Fast Food In10sifies by Grau 2022-10-04T20:28:29Z

It's pretty fun with a nice art style! Having worked in restaurants it's a nice nostalgia to those times. I too couldn't figure out the "peperoni" and was confused with the "salad" as well. It might be a regional thing. I understand it from a gameplay perspective, but I really wanted to work on multiple orders at a time. Great job!

It's balling time by Linus Szokody 2022-10-06T23:31:01Z

It's neat! I like the look and have played many of these types of games before. The gravity was weird for me, as it didn't add much, as well after gravity went the ball was travelling sideways for the rest of the time not hitting anything until gravity came around again. Had similar issues with hexagon. I would say that I miss the mechanic of moving with the ball to start and setting your starting point. Good job overall!

Connie by Payaosito 2022-10-04T21:00:35Z

It's neat! The button mapping screwed me up the most I think, and thinking "up" as jump doesn't really occur to me as I always expect a different button to be jump, but probably different on a controller.

I agree that 5 elements to switch between is a lot, but was it suppose to be cyclic in advantage/disadvantage? Like water beats fire, but in the line it's written it seems like water beats all? I feel like if you used 3 and used a rock/paper/scissors mechanic it would've been a bit easier. I forgot I had magic half the time haha

The looks is fun. I feel the orb could've been something. I kept forgetting the carrots/lifebar cause it wasn't easily in my line of sight to focus on. Good job overall!

Stormlight Manor by RogueBrain 2022-10-06T19:45:21Z

It was fun! I liked the art style and it meshed well with the the theme of the game and the music was very well done. Gave me those Nightmare on Elm Street for the NES vibes. I did wish to see more detail in the game and full screened it, but doing so cut off the sides as my main monitor isn't a widescreen. It'd be neat if each character had a separate attribute to them, running faster, larger lit area, longer delay in lightning flashes, etc. Great job overall!

Tattooz by Juels 2022-10-04T20:45:58Z

It's pretty fun. Reminds me of a Jackbox game in it's implementation. Would've been neat, as it's a tattoo not a drawing, if the piece of paper was a different body part each time, like arm, leg, chest, back, tramp stamp etc. I do like that you can import your own designs in and the grading collection at the end. Well done!

Cat Wave RUN by CooLguNxDD 2022-10-06T19:27:34Z

That was pretty neat! I'm not sure about the jagged movement, I felt for the first few tried I had to keep tapping the direction button. I like the random (?) changes that occur during the 10 second intervals. My biggest gripe was the bushes in the first part blended in to the grassy areas and some time I didn't know why I was stuck on something. Good job!
