LD51 — Every 10 seconds

[X-ED OUT] by Nash 2022-10-07T03:43:06Z

The game loop is really addicting, makes you keep wanting to go "1 last time" xD The attention to crunchy feedback makes the enemies that much more fun to burst, and the sounds, music, and cool attack upgrades make the overall gameplay click together seamlessly. If this were in an arcade I think I'd be broke HAHA

10 Second Mixtape by Scott Steffes 2022-10-04T09:53:41Z

What a show!! The idea is so fresh, and the art, sounds, everything... a beautiful mix of wacky and wonderful, love love love it! I could just feel the community without them being there <3 Thanks for having me on stage!

Spell Survivors by dnich013 2022-10-04T18:03:32Z

This has potential! The core game loop is very evident and easy to understand, and I quickly manage to formulate plans of weaving through goblins and tearing apart armies with my spells :D Once this game is armed with more intriguing abilities to upgrade and enemy types to look out for, it'll keep players hooked for hours or more~

Call It A Day by Stenyin 2022-10-04T17:49:14Z

Wow wow what a game to create in a such a short time frame! The immersion hits home from the get go, and even having cinematics and such a banger soundtrack!? I've got a lot to learn from this amazing game, kudos to the team!! A small suggestion I've got is to maybe set the pick up/throw controls to the keyboard instead of the mouse? Since everything happens relative to the player anyways!

Simple and addictive game loop that makes me wanna keep trying to get a higher score by setting my past selves up properly :D Good stuff!

World Warp by Ausstein 2022-10-04T09:28:21Z

A beautiful world setting and intriguing mechanic to keep switching up the terrain! I struggle to understand the behaviours of the different enemies and the significance of each world type. The bullets of the turrets are also way too small! In general, the immersion of the world is great, but as a player I would like to have clearer goals and a better understanding of what is happening around me! For example, I realise my jumps are kind of different when the world changes, but they aren't super intuitive mechanics to me, so I'd appreciate more information about what's going on!

Reboot by Astrydax 2022-10-07T03:32:29Z

Wow this was an intense experience! I like how it almost felt like multiplayer just watching my past mice(?) do all the different tasks, and every replay just got me more and more exciting to optimize my climb! The minimalistic art style really keeps the focus on the gameplay as well, loved it a lot!

Cosmic Crashers by mrjeremy 2022-10-04T18:15:07Z

I just wanna go again one more time...! The overall feel of the projectiles and movement trails are really satisfying to feel, and the music is really great!

Super Garden Lord by poboy 2022-10-04T08:40:41Z

Everything's spilling out of the screen, especially the UI! The art style is charming, and the gameplay is really chaotic HAHAHA I held down the spacebar and now my ears are bleeding- what an experience xD

What a polished feeling game! The pace of the game could be accelerated a fair bit, I felt like Im playing the game on slow-motion (yes I got the speed boost and "no energy drain on move" upgrades really early) HAHA The goals could also be made clearer in-game itself, so that I know why I'm collecting the stuff! Overall, the game is very calm and chill, and definitely very pretty :D

UMBRELLA REVENGE by SAGIII 2022-10-05T06:30:43Z

A charming game with lots of polish, the flow between scenes and death is real smooth! Definitely has the classic Super Meat Boy/Hollow Knight gameplay vibe. The levels are really unforgiving though, and the lack of airtime control makes some challenges much harder (LOOKING AT YOU BOUNCY SHROOMS)

Sneaky's adventure by Vladimir ins 2022-10-04T08:51:24Z

The sounds and music create a tense atmosphere! I'd suggest giving the map more breathing space to move around, and less dead ends so that I always have an option to escape in some way! The guard's path doesn't seem to cover the entire map as well, as I've been AFK on a spot for a really long time and I'm still alive HAHA The visual effects for the footsteps and can throwing are really cool! There are many gameplay elements that maybe require more clarification on your page description or feedback from the game itself so that players can more clearly identify what they should and should not do!

Stormlight Manor by RogueBrain 2022-10-04T09:17:34Z

A fun maze game that really reminds me of pac-man without the worldwide vision! I guess it's because of the theme that the lightning hits every 10 seconds, but to me that feels really long having to wait for it to see the world again for a brief moment. Syncing it with the music really helps to let me know when the next flash is coming though! I'd also like to suggest placing emphasis on the light sources dotted around the world, either as guide points or warnings of dead-ends, or even a waypoint of some sort to help with the navigating! And of course, the music, art style and effects come together really well to create an immersive mood!

Every 10 Seconds I Find New And Exciting Ways To Hate Myself by ActuallyTheMoon 2022-10-05T01:53:15Z

Aside from the rather lengthy dialogues that interrupt the flow of the game, the core idea is really smart! The text goes deep, and each mistake really hits me irl :') Each unique worker's available mechanics could also be better taught in the tutorial, like how person 1 and 2 can push boxes, but 3 cannot, and how person 1 and 3 treats box goal positions as walls. All in all, a really solid game, and 8 levels in such a short time? That's quite some content!
