Art style is really cute. Love the tiny detail of the skulls after death. Swing feels satisfying. The keg throwing is a bit awkward. I'd consider speeding up the game. More wagons per cycle, more kegs! More beer!
Great job! Feel like you really nailed the scope, and managed to get a lot of content into such a small window of time.
I might be a bit of an idiot, but I didn't actually realize in delivery squad that you could move two different cars, so I thought my car was bugged for awhile. This probably happened because I skipped levels and missed the obvious progression, but could be nice to make the ring around the active car more obvious (either through more contrast on the color or size).
I've always wanted to make one of these goofy assembly games. My one suggestion would probably be to condense the counter space so there's less swiveling back and forth. It is just a little difficult control-wise to find your groove loading up the hot dog blaster 3000 and gettin dem doggies out. Either way.. lovely sense of humor, graphics + environment were really cute, and snazzy tune to top it off. Well done :)
One of the best games I've played so far! Punchy music, juicy drifting, great visuals and controls. So stylistically complete. The grass was hurting my eyes a bit, looks like you've got some z fighting causing flickering.
The character animation is amazing. Super funny. Digging the whole vision here - you've some talented minds hehe. Also that music is a JAM.
@zerovirus Hehe, yeah controls could use some work.. Was a struggle to compact the design into something that allowed you to select a delivery and get the necessary context. Thinking on it now it may have been better to tuck both asking and delivery into the same button with a UI option to choose and have triggers to switch the active delivery. Thanks for playing!
@chybby Yeaaah.. sorry.. tried to hotfix it earlier, but it was a stupid fix. Got an actual fix incoming later today. Thanks for playing! :)
Wonderful job on the presentation. Clean aesthetic and UI. I think it would've been fun if there were more things to micromanage. Since harvesters auto-harvest and turrets auto-aim you have lulls in the gameplay where you're just waiting for more resources.
Nice idea to have you multi-tasking between two cars. Amps up the hectic nature of delivery - granted it is quite difficult and caused me many fiery deaths. Good job putting in a tutorial. The car drives well. Fun stuff!
Love your palette and the sprites :) Really cute. Agree with the other uses about Pelobati - needed more fleshing out to prove useful for combat.
The controls feel sticky? No pun intended, hehe. It is very hard to perform the jumps accurately, definitely worth looking into the coyote jump mechanic neon shark mentioned.
SO MANY BABIES!!! Could use some animation and feedback on the pick up and delivery - needs that extra oomf to make the objective satisfying. Maybe some camera shake and a visual cue at the location you deliver?
Oh my goodness that got hectic. I genuinely became frazzled towards the end and the blue screen made me feel like I actually broke my computer. You really did capture the experience of being spammed and with a good sense of humor to boot. Well done!
Great graphics, though it is very demanding on my pc at higher settings (GTX 1070, RYZEN 5 5600X). Having issues with that 3rd platform - I cannot for the life of me get past it. Let me know if I'm doing something idiotic and I'll go back to try again.
Hey! Game looks awesome. Is there a way to full screen it on the windows version? It is stuck in a tiny screen for me :(
@frabjous-studios Oof.. it was in the description for the game. Apologies - I usually do look there for reference, I promise!
I have delivered the babies! The beauty of creation... in a clicker game. :)
Really like the houses and props. Well drawn. Cute being a lil vandal delivery man who gets in trouble with the police. Definitely got a laugh out of that. Good work and congrats on your first jam!
Love the cartoonish style of the art! The shop signs remind me of the lettering in pizza tower haha.
The chicken is so mean!!!! Good work though. Had a hard time really knowing whether or not I was over-using particular spells, because I simply dont know how long I'd have to go until they run out. More AoE healing charges please? :D At a certain point I just kept getting rekt over and over until I simply died. The moose due to having more hp simply gets ignored until the other 2 die, and then he gets chipped down enough that he's close to dying each battle. So while it's nice that he has 50hp, he's not doing much to help his teammates haha. The enemies are just too smart.
This is the most fun game I've played yet in the jam! Very satisfying.
Great aesthetic. It has such charm! :) The gameplay is presented well, and feels intuitive. Good work on the interactions and room setup.
Really love the vfx. Carefully crafted tutorial. Well done!
The cat icon at the bottom is awesome. Props to the artist. All the vfx are lookin good too.
I definitely see where this could go and appreciate the concept of deploying cards into lanes. Could be some kind of take on monster train! Good job regardless of how far you got :)
Really cool concept! I reckon you're an Obra Dinn fan ;) Even if you believe you overscoped it, you executed on the mechanics and created two complete examples of the gameplay loop - so I'd say you did great for your first Ludum Dare.
Great work! Really cute and well made. Definitely one of the best interpretations for the theme I've seen so far.
