Short & Sweet. Had a good time playing it!
Unfortunately I did find a bug where I can share a tile with a box if it falls on me.
Otherwise, great game! Keep it up!

i really like the difficulty! how easy for candle to stuck is sad though
@aliflaliq How does it get stuck? I've not encountered that problem! :'(
@missingpixel Ah yes, that can happen. You can still move, but if you are totally surrounded it might be a problem?
Thanks for playing!
I finished but it was touch and go on that last pentagram, I think I just got it in the nick of time. I think I should have made some effort to keep the boxes in some sort of logical order between rounds to make it easier to get to an clear the next pentagram.
The art seems very polished and it looks great. The mechanics are intuitive and enjoyable. A kind of interesting mix between puzzle and arcade. Nice game!
@notnasiul oh it's possible to pull objects! sorry i missed it! that's made the game more enjoyable
completely my kind of game: arcade, quickly understandable, in 2D with great pixel art and a slightly stupid situation (who wants to move and cause the end of the world? you have to choose). I loved it thank you very much.
Nicely balanced, I just scraped through to win I think. Nice concept, timed/random sokoban thing. Great art style and audio.
Nice entry! I love the idea
What an improbable mash-up! But this is working very well, this is a fun, funny, intuitive, an cute game! Once, I had a pentacle which appeared directly under the candle, giving me instantly one more demon, I don't know if it's a bug or whatever, but I think I had to warn you that can happen, in case of it was not intended to… Anyway, good job!
It's a fun little game. I love the art and the sound is wonderful. It got a bit hard at the end but that was cause I stuffed most of the boxes in a corner. Thanks for the game!
@lereveur Yes, that might happen, it's something I couldn't fix before deadline :'(
Think of it as free point XD
Thanks for playing!
@tristan-doell You can PULL objects by pressing Z!! :D
Exetremely clever, original take on the theme! Very nice idea and well executed. It's so simple and short and yet so fun to play
It was fun remembering tetris skills in a way. Good art!
Fun take on sokoban! I thought I was going to lose for a minute when two circles in a row spawned under piles of boxes I couldn't move, but it came back around.
Why couldn't you move them, @vivid-hallucination? You know you can pull boxes too, right? With Z :D
I CAN WHAT?! Teach me not to read the instructions I guess lol
Lol, it's my fault, @vivid-hallucination. I guess on the first level with only the pentagram and the candle I should place the candle on a corner, and an on-screen message telling players they can push and pull things around :(
First of all, I loved the aesthetics in this. Its a shame the game was so short as I would loved to have play some more. I guess the levels were randomly generated? Assuming that's true, that would be an obvious next step to improving the game, as the level layouts were the only real negative I had. Some of the levels were pretty easy.
Great music too and sfx too. Did you do the music yourself ( you opted out of the music category I see).
Awesome work though.
Thank god (?) for the pulling mechanic. Love this little sokoban take for the theme! the graphics are super nice too. awesome job :)
@lintfordpickle Thanks! Nope, music was not mine, but I liked it a lot too. And yes, it's procedural, I'm already figuring out how I could expand the game. I would new kind of ground tiles - maybe solid obstacles I can't move, obstacles that move by themselves (imps)... and animations, I would like to add some :)
@orbitaldot Thanks for playing! :D
Gameplay is quite enjoyable. I liked the guitar tune and the incantation of the summoner. Art style also matches the humorous vibe of the game. Good job!
heheh, ok this is pretty funny! short and sweet lil game! all the art assets fit together really well, and it's reasonably challenging without being too hard! i like it a lot ^^
Glad you liked it, thanks for playing! :')
Ta tuberatam nictum to you too, good sir. Very cool, simple and straightforward, but I enjoyed completing it. Graphics and audio are both very polished, great entry.
Well executed and surprisingly difficult! Cute graphics too!
Neat idea! Enjoyable to control. It was very easy, I feel like it could use spikes, bigger pentagrams, or slow-moving boxes, or something to make it more of a challenge. I would like to see it developed farther! Nicely done.
A nice enjoyable short game! I got pretty good RNG (assuming it's rng) for the first couple summon signs but really worked myself into a corner for the last two. A nice difficulty balance. Overall a fun entry with potential to become a pretty decent full game if extended, good job man! :)
Made me chuckle. I don't like how easy it is to screw myself, and it feels dirty to have the sigil/rune thing spawn in the same place it JUST failed at.
I enjoyed this arcade take on Sokoban, I had fun and just wish there was more to it!
Klaatu Verata Nikto!
Really nice polished game! I really liked the twist on the sokoban-style gameplay, and the art and sounds were on point too. On my first run I got really lucky with the first few pentagram spawns, but then one spawned in the spot where I'd been pushing all the boxes! :D
I like that instead of "thinking" puzzle you made "action" puzzle. It's technically the same but feels different to play. At the beginning when I was still in "this is puzzle, so you need to think" mindset I didn't like the fact you don't have a timer on summoning circles, but later, I felt like it worked for the rush feeling I had when I was moving the last candle into the place.
Very enjoyable, fast paced game
How great is his spell reading! I get high from the main character!) And in general, not a bad Sokoban for speed. Then it would be nice to add different effects, and falling objects. because towards the end it becomes difficult to move crates, especially since pentagrams for some reason usually appear in corners that crates can't get out of)
But you can't get crates out of corners even pulling them (pressing Z and moving), @hammerer? It may take a bit, but pulling-pushing can relocate most boxes wherever you wish!
Thanks for playing! Did you get the spell reference? :)
I win! Fun and lets me get out years of anger at the entire sokoban genre of puzzles. I do wish there was a separate animation state indicating the character was in a "pull" state though.
This is the first game I've seen using Defold, how do you like it? Was thinking of trying it next Jam.
@ultrarat Thanks for playing! And yes, I'm working on a post-jam version with animations and will make one for pulling.
I'm enjoying Defold so far, been using it for a few months already. Made a Global Game Jam entry that was my first game in Defold (https://playmedusa.itch.io/henhouse-guard) but I'm also working on two new full-games (not game jam entries). It's quite straightforward, quite suitable for 2D games! Worst thing is LUA not being typed. Best thing is LUA not being typed. And its community is quite nice! If you enjoy programming more than clicking on editor fields you may like it too, as it expects you to code way more than Unity or Godot.
I found a good meta to be to push boxes to the perimeter and if a pentagram spawns on the very edge just let it fail. Very tense gameplay!
Nice! The mad dash to get the candle to the pentagram was pretty challenging, if you developed beyond the jam, it'd be cool to see some holes / portals / water etc. that'd do different things to the candle - put it out, teleport it, lose it down a hole etc.
